In January 2023, Perpetual Capital Partners, who also owns California Family Fitness, acquired In-Shape for an undisclosed amount.

Under the merger agreement, both fitness clubs will retain their own names.

Comstock was influenced by his 4-H program and was looking for sustainability and a minimal amount of food waste.

Freshly seeks to combine both founders’ wishes.

Freshly is a New York based subscription delivery company that delivers one million meals per week.

In 2020 Freshly was acquired by Nestle for US$1.5 billion. It appears that Nestle intends to change the name since Freshly announced that they would no longer sell products after January 2023.

While Nestle may halt home delivery, it appears that it will soon have Freshly frozen meals available soon.

MedHaul Corporate Office

Founder Erica Hemphill, a diabetic and double amputee, was frustrated by her inability to get to medical appointments due to a lack of proper transportation.

MedHaul was founded in 2017. A Certified B Company, MedHaul enables healthcare providers to find and schedule transportation to care destinations for patients who have special in-transit support needs, as well as those who can travel independently.

Individuals don’t call for rides, but rather, the patient’s healthcare provider will book the appointment. While the company’s current outreach is for Memphis, Nashville, Chattanooga, northern Mississippi, and eastern Arkansas, they hope to expand to other areas of Tennessee and perhaps even other states.

For many people, including the elderly and low-income patients, MedHaul has been extremely helpful.

In the first two years of operation, MedHaul assisted with 9,000 rides.

Hemphill is among some of the biggest tech innovators when it comes to improving the lives of others in the community.

The company continued to add locations until 1984 when it acquired Quality Foods, which had 19 locations, some of which operated under the Food City name.

The Smith family decided to adopt the Food City name for all locations in 1989.

Food City is owned by K-VA-T Food Stores.

In November 2017, Food City opened its first in-store Starbucks location in Athens, Tennessee. As of October 2022, the company now operates 43 Starbucks in-store locations.

In August 2022, K-VA-T announced plans to acquire Cooke’s family of stores in the Cleveland, Tennessee, area.

In April 2023, the company announced that it planned to hire hundreds of new employees and was hosting a job fair at all locations to do so.

Forest River Corporate Office

After working as CEO of RV manufacturer Cobra Industries for many years, Peter Liegl decided to open his own RV manufacturing plant. After obtaining certain assets from Cobra, Liegl created Forest River.

The company began by manufacturing tent campers, travel trailers, fifth wheels, and park models under the following model lines: Salem, Sierra, Sandpiper, Wildwood, Rockwood, Flagstaff, Summit, and Quailridge. Later that same year, they began producing cargo utility trailers as Cargo Mate.

By 1997, the company created a second utility or cargo trailer line called Continental Cargo.

In 2001, Forest River began building buses after acquiring Starcraft Bus and Glaval Bus.

In 2005, Forest River was acquired by Berkshire Hathaway, Inc.

In 2023, financial experts estimate that the global RV market will reach more than $49 billion in sales by the end of 2030.

The company has grown substantially via acquisitions. In May 2020, Forest River acquired the following REV Group shuttle bus brands: Champion, Federal Coach, World Trans, Krystal Coach, El Dorado, and Goshen Coach.
