I was at an estate sell and bought your 1988 Avon collection of animals on plaques. I fell in love with the Mama bear and her cub. I make what is called Live Edge Gifts. My wife and I just started this business.

I am seeking permission to place the Mama Bear and her Cub on my live edge wood Plaques. I would take the plaque off that they come on. I could send a picture of the one I made. I have no idea if I can still get them from Avon or could I mold them and pay some sort of price for each one. I am, looking for permission and proper direction.
Thanks in advance

I have been selling Avon for 40 years. I have loved it and made many friends. Recently I have been receiving a lot of complaints from customers. Avon has made so many changes in the last year, many customers are very upset about so many products that have been available for years being discontinued. The holidays were always huge selling opportunities for the unique decorations and gifts. This past year no items were available for Halloween, Easter, ect. only for Christmas. This really hurt my sales this past year. The awards for Avon have also declined with the new system. No Albee award. No catalog for gifts to choose from, only a few items. Not at all the same incentive for making the award levels. Avon had a reputation as a company with quality products people had know for over 100 years. Several of my customers requested that I contact Avon headquarters and advise them that they would like to see products return to the quality they had in the past. They would like to see Avon stay with a makeup line and not change it or discontinue it so often. Also bring back the gifts and decorations that Avon collectors have always loved.

My mom was a Avon representative until she passed away about 2 years ago. She loved being a Avon lady for over 40 plus years and I purchased products from her. After her passing; I purchased on their website. Today I got on the web to do a little shopping and I noticed you got a much better price if you went through a rep. I understand that is the way they earn their money, but could there be a compromise. I do not want to go through a rep, but I would like to continue as a customer. Could there be a price available between a rep price and non-sale price or a percentage off for a order? I do most of my shopping on the web. It saves time, no appointment needed and just more convenient for this one busy lady. Please consider this request.

Good Morning, I have been selling Avon since July of 1991. It has been one of the best ideas I had when I elected to sell instead of purchase. I have seen Avon grow from a beauty company to selling clothes, jewelry, accessories and household items.
The company has expanded very much. They offer medical insurance and a savings plan.
It is a great company. I have sold only on a part time basis since 1991, and until 2015 I now am full time. The products are comparable to any brand or better.
They offer many incentives and I do not have to push the brand. Just lay a book down somewhere and sooner or later someone will call. Of course with social media there are more ways than one to sell. The prices are reasonable and the really superb thing is once in every 26 campaigns they present a new fragrance for the woman. I was recently able to purchase Topaze and was elated to get it. It was my Moms fragrance and I enjoy spraying it just to remember her and how she smelled and looked so pretty. Avon has come a long way since the slogan Ding Dong, Avon calling… it is great to be able to view the archives and review the history and products. I love it!

I have been selling Avon on and off. I started in 1982 to 1994, where Avon was fantastic. They gave commemorative plates every 5 years, birthday gifts and Christmas gifts and even colognes with their launch dates. Avon cared about their representatives. I began to sell again around 2005. None of the perks applied and little by little after 2018 it began to get worse. They nickeled and dimed you for everything. Now in 2019, which I feel is the worst, since Avon was taken over by a foreign company and I feel Avon is no longer the same. Several factors include, 1) the samples are gone except the expensive ones and the inches. I will not buy inches when I am not sure if the customers even like the colognes. 2) The bags are expensive and the order books, tablets are charged for. 3) They did away with the minerals collection and numerous other products, so I lost a lot of customers. 4) Christmas of 2018 and 2019 a lot of products were sold out. Very frustrating for me and the customers. 5) Because of items NOT being available, I lost customers, award sales towards Presidents Club and sales. 6) They allowed you to send in multiple orders, charging any where from $10.00 and up each time and when I went to put in my orders as my customers were used to, date and time wise. They took away the back order and I lost money do to the that as they stopped price adjusting, even though the prices were in effect at the time of the order. Being that the orders were coming out of Ohio instead of Pasadena, my customers had to wait extra time which fowled up everything. and 7) They took away the double dollars which hampered me to make Presidents Club.. This means a lot of work for next to nothing. I know that people sell over $100,00 in my district because things are sent to Mexico and Central America to mom and pop shops, plus where I live their are even Avon stores, which was not allowed before. This makes everything for a rep like me to make Presidents Club. In the 80″s I made Presidents Club every year and even Honors Society a few times. I feel that this new company only wants to compete with the outside market and not what Avon stands for: Great products at reasonable prices. These new products DO NOT reflect that. The 80’s were 100% better. These times are not and I for one am greatly disappointed. They don’t care about the representative, only the almighty dollar. The representative is what Avon was founded on. Very sad and disgusted!

I have been with Avon selling for 7 years now. and, that means nothing. I had stopped a large order from being sent out. it was stopped. then our customer service peps was incorrect someway turned out to be incorrect. g.it was sent. i didn’t need this huge order. to send it back contained enough products to interrupt my everything have been selling with no problem up until this situation happened. as with one other issue since they had decided to mail our boxes rather than deliver them with with another company. well, it appears i’m only a number. and i make them money. but, when a accident stops me from going to work or they cause a problem that messes my side up? do they make me feel important enough to help me. so i returned to many. they wouldn’t care if i broke my arm selling. the have really not made my life better as i know i have made theirs. they ruined me. i have a cast on my arm. and, my business has disappeared. Avon is the sweetest peps to work for.

I have been an Avon rep for over 30 years. Recently my customers online orders have gone to another rep not to me. I have had to change my URL estore link. Avons customer service is deplorable. I did get credited to my account the first mistaken order but there is no record of that customer on my customer list. The second mistake is still not resolved after many calls to customer service. I am fed up with them telling me it will get resolved!!

(a) I am a retired Colonel of the Indian Army and have permanently settled at Panchkula (Haryana), near Chandigarh. After my retirement, from my savings and terminal benefits, I had invested Rs 1,00000.00 (Rupees One Lac only) with AVON Corporations, located at Mumbai. The company (AVON Corporation) is a world reputed company and was offering a very good interest rates… Notwithstanding, on first maturity, the company on its own had re-invested the acXXXXulated money with interest, without even taking my permission.
(b) Initially, I had deposited Rs 1, 00000.00 (FDR No C001160) on 29.06.2010 with 12% commutative interest for a period of three years (copy being attached with this doXXXXent). The maturity value, which was to be paid to me, was Rs 142622.00 on 29.06.2013. However, when self approached the company telephonically, as well as in person, the company explained that it desires that all the investors should re-invest their money till 2017. I too became prey to their diplomacy, as to keep the money as FDR till 29.05.2017 (FDR No CO11615), (Copy is being attached with this doXXXXent) as maturity value of Rs 226674.00. However, when later I tried to contact the company to en-cash the FDR on due date, the company did not responded to my calls. I continue making calls for many days, without any response from this company.
(c) Thereafter, having made frantic calls for so many days, I had personally visited the company premises in Mumbai twice and both the times found the office of the company (AVON Corporation) locked/closed for business.
In view of above, I humbly request you to kindly help me to recover the above money at the earliest with the accrued interest. I shall be very grateful for this act of kindness

2.00. Bring them down to 99 cents what there worth.People like a little small gift to put in
Christmas gifts and the lip balms and small hand creams are priced too high.Every time I order from the outlet nothing is available. One of my customers ordered 5 pieces of jewelry

AVON is a horrible company! They discontinue a product they know their customers loved and then after getting hundreds of comments form upset loyal product users they bring it back shortly after at double the price. What a disgusting thing to do! Talk about greed. AVON claims they’re all about women and empowerment and then they price gauge their loyal customers. I guess this is AVONs plan to raise the prices on the products they sell the most of. They’ll discontinue them and then bring them back at double the price because they know their loyal product users will pay. I’m done with AVON. You seriously disappointed me with your greed and insensitivity. What’s even worse is that my rep told me to call AVON about getting the product back because every time she calls they don’t listen. Apparently AVON doesn’t respect their reps either. How sad.

On 10/25/2016 I paid $50 for a launch kit. Due to personal issues that arose I was unable to begin selling the products. Today I called to see what I needed to do to start selling. They told me my account was not active after three phone calls. I was then told that I would need to pay another $50 to reactivate my account. I didn’t realize there was a “timeline”. Then I asked if they could just assign a new account number to me and again, only after I pay an additional $50. Apparently there system only issues account numbers for $50. Then after looking online more, they are doing it for $25.

I agree with many of the post here, I love the products but the cost is really getting to be to much, the brochures need to go seasonal or 3-4 times a year rather than paying crazy prices every 2 weeks!! Many cant afford that! I agree with customer service, we can never understand them nor do they know how to help, they are rude and alot of times when you ask for a supervisor you get hung up on just ticks me off!!! We also need managers that are in our area and not states away!! We use to be a top district and now since we have managers out of state and no sales meetings locally we have gone from 800 reps to 380!!! the company is gone down hill and not supportive of the representatives

TERRIBLE TREATMENT BY AVON! I stopped being a representative over 3 months ago. Once all the orders were cleared from my account, I had a credit due to me. I sent numerous emails checking on the status of the return of this credit. With each email Avon sent in return, I was told that I needed to wait 2 weeks to receive the check. It has now been over 3 months and still no refund. I love the fact that Avon will not ship an order to a representative unless they receive payment for the order in advance, and they also expect customers to pay for their orders in advance. Now, they owe me money and here I am waiting over 3 months?!!!!!! Really? You were happy to take my credit card payment online for the orders I placed which made you money, but now I have to sit and wait? And why am I getting these emails from Avon customer service which are clearly from representatives that have NO CLUE what they are doing!! While a representative, I constantly received emails from Avon “reminding” me that there was an order due date coming up. Clearly they were eager to get orders and money. If there was ever any question about returning to sell Avon products, there clearly is no question now knowing this is the way representatives are treated and blown off with crappy, non-intelligent answers from customer service reps, and a supervisor that could barely speak English and I could barely understand!! I could tell he was frustrated with me towards the end of the phone call, but that was because he wasn’t any better help than any other person I’ve talked to about this issue. His response was – yep you guessed it – “in 30 days you will have your money”. Really? Total BS and total rotten service!!!! I will be sure to pass along my experience to anyone that mentions Avon to me!! I will also be sure to not purchase any Avon products.
Waiting 30 MORE days – stay tuned…….

Ive been having an on going problem with avon for the past week. To make a long story short I had an account from 2010 that avon is saying that I owe. I paid this account off in May of 2012. I even have my confirmation number that was provided to me and an email that was sent to My Avon up lead to confirm that my account was paid.
Avon policy states that if you become an Avon representative again, all past due balances are to be paid in full. This is your policy. With that being said there is no way I would have been able to create a second account in 2012, if my 1st account was not paid in full.
Now that I want to get back in Avon for the 3rd time, because who love Avon, my first account is coming up that I owe $525.47. For three days I faught with your Avon representative and told them that this account was paid. On the 3rd day Avon corporate, provided my current lead with an email that said we found a partial payment that was made and i now owe $210. First you fault me for 3 days and told me I told you $525.47 then you finally find a partial payment that was made and that I still owe you money. There are 3 things wrong with this,
1. I have a confirmation number which state my account was paid in full!
2. your policy states that there is no way I could have had a second account in 2012 if my account from 2010 was never paid off!
3. I have an email for one of your Up Leads representative stating she has received my confirmation number and process the paperwork. Might I add that still works for Avon today.
There is no way I would have been able to get a confirmation number if my account was never paid in full.
I’m getting tired of going back and forth with Avon, your representative keep hanging up on me and I am getting nowhere. My next step is to take all my paperwork to my lawyer’s office. if I can’t get answers I’m sure my lawyer can.
ACCOUNT NUMBER# 91907920
CONFIRMATION # 893754
I dont owe AVON anything. When I did in the past, I had no problem paying my debt. Fair is fair and this is not fair to me at all. Someone messed up somewhere and I understand mistakes happen but your not going charge me $525.47 for someone else’s mistake. Oh wait now $210. And I truly believe if I wouldn’t have been fighting so hard you would have never found that “partial payment.”

Avon is also nothing short of the devil when it comes to treating salaried employees that are retired on long term disability. I have had major surgery every year for years because of this injury. This year they got sneaky and took my health insurance away. They started using One Exchange and the exchange has nothing to offer in my area. Since I wasn’t able to use their exchange to buy medical insurance my spending account was also taken away. My back, neck, legs, hips are involved. Here is a picture of just my back. I need surgery immediately and have no way to do so. Shortly I will by paralyzed or dead. I also can’t purchase my prescriptions. I had the surgery sceduled for December under my old insurance however, our bank put a stop to that. Contacting an attorney and let them deal with #avon #oneexchange #dakotaland

I have been an Avon Rep for over a year but this is the last straw with this company. I’ve had lots of problems with their returns dept and customer service is a joke! They cannot do anything to solve your problems. I sent back over 100.00 dollars in merchandise and have not received a credit or a refund but they were quick to put a debit for the shipping on my account… UPS tracking confirms that they did deliver my package to Avon 2 weeks ago but no credit, so far all that’s on my account is a bill for 7.26 for the shipping of the merchandise back to them… calling them on the phone is a total joke, gets you nowhere. Once they get your money the do not want to let it go. I had a huge Christmas order that I wanted to place but I refused to place it until I saw a credit on my account. So since I saw no credit I placed no order! it’s their loss for holding onto my money.
Avon will go in the toilet, it’s only a matter of time. They have huge management problems and they do all they can to take money from the their reps…like creating a million different clearance books and brochures for reps to pay for so that every little bit they make goes right back to Avon in buying flyers and brochures and shipping etc.. And now they launched another new brochure, their “Home living” Just another brochure for Reps to pay for but there is a 20% earning cap on everything in this brochure so why bother? That 20% earnings is eaten up in brochure costs and in shipping and gasoline to deliver the brochures.. totally not worth it.. Good bye Avon..You’ve lost me not only as a representative but as a customer too.

I am so sad to see so many negative comments. First let me say, Avon is not perfect, nor is any other company out there. Every company in the world has people with good experiences and bad.
To the ones talking about joining Avon and not getting the help and guidance: If a person is not prepared to guide you to success, then they shouldn’t have invited you on their team, or Avon should not be sending them leads on people who want to join if they do not intend to help them. No one should sign someone up if they don’t even want to help them. If the recruit doesn’t succeed, then neither does the leader. This is the problem with a leader who already has A LOT of people under them, its a lot of work to help and guide all of the reps that join under them. I am a rep, and I love what I do, and I am DYING to have a recruit, to train them, help them, guide them. I recruited one, and I was there to help her or answer her questions. I contacted her every other day to see if there was anything I could help her with, and she never took me up on any of those offers. 🙁 So needless to say, she didn’t do anything with her Avon business, but that was only because she didn’t even attempt to do anything with it. I hate seeing women who say they joined and their upline doesn’t even want to help them. I’m over here like “hey I want to help, join with me!!” I recently had one of my customers join Avon, and instead of calling me and joining with me, she went to the website and got assigned a random person, and she is unhappy with them. She waited too long to tell me all of this and now there is nothing we can do.
If you are going to join Avon: first see if there is someone you know that is a representative, and always interview the person you will be joining under to get a feel for them and see if they seem passionate about Avon and about helping you succeed. If you can’t find someone you know, try posting online on your Facebook, and I promise someone knows an Avon representative, and like I said interview them (if possible IN PERSON) and you will be able to tell if they are going to help you.
If there is anyone reading this that wants to join and wants someone that is passionate about helping others and wants to help you build your success, please contact me. Here’s my email, XXXXXXXXX I would be honored. I know there are leaders out there that just don’t care about their downline (I have met a few in my area) but that is not me.
THOSE OF YOU POSTING YOUR PERSONAL INFO (PHONE NUMBER AND ADDRESS) PLEASE BE CAREFUL!! There are scammers that will try and contact you and take your money. Or they may use your info illegally. Please if you have something you need to speak with Avon specifically about Please Please Please call their customer service number 1-800-500-2866

It’s a shame to read all of these comments. When you trust a company, work to make them successful and to earn an income, you should have a team of people ready to help you be successful.
I sold Mary Kay Cosmetics for a year, became a Director and won a car. I left because my downline just wanted to make a little extra, but I was a single mother of three and needed to support them.
If you are looking for an ethical, debt free company to join as an IRep. I can help you. No inventory to carry, free website and an upline dedicated to help you be successful. You can become a rep for $39. The company is about to go global, so now is the best time to be part of this award winning company. We have a product that is changing health and lives of people who suffer from chronic pain and backed by Science. 7 patents in place and 37 clinical trials. All business is done online. No need to go door to door. You don’t pay for any products, the consumer has their order shipped right to their home. To learn more, email me at Mary_martXXXXX@yahoo.com.

I have been selling Avon since 2000. I had been completely satisfied with this company until recently. What shady business practices Avon has now. Now reps are sent product without consent or ordering then being billed for said product. I NEVER signed up for this auto ship crap. What is worse is that after being a rep for over 15 years, they hold your campaign orders for a balance that I never owed to begin. I paid the balance just to get my order shipped only to find out that they rebilled me for an unauthorized order made 6 months ago. When I called customer service and demanded a refund I was lied to and said they would refund my credit card….checked my Avon account and sure enough they refunded my Avon account and did exactly what I told them I did NOT want. The reason the Avon account credit does not suffice is because I have to pay 5.95 plus 5% tax on my next order meanwhile I still have to pay the credit card company the full amount. Called and spoke with a supervisor and was told Avon doesn’t issue refund checks when I demanded a refund check of 11.27..Shame on you Avon you suck!!

The reason that reps do not want to help their downlines is because they don’t get any money from their downlines.. They get 1% of sales..WOW!!! That’s 1.00 dollar for every 100.00 dollars sold in their downlines…What a joke! I stopped trying to recruit people a long time ago, you’re better off as a Rep to have them as customers. I had 2 people in my downline and both of them sold over 100.00 each campaign and in 6 months I have not received one dime! Avon is a total joke! Like I said, just a matter of time before they completely go under!

My name could be on any of the previous comments. Customer service to the representatives is TERRIBLE. As I’ve said before, if I treated my customers like I am treated as a representative, I would not have any customers at all. And, it is getting worse with each campaign. For the second time recently I have not received my order. No one contacted can speak or read English well enough to get the problem fixed. If you don’t want “human” representatives anymore and only online business, then tell us and quit treating us so poorly. All my customers want a catalog (which is practically down to nothing anymore) and are VERY upset at the way things are being done.

Susan I am with you, to get the proper help you need that’s like a needle in a haystack the Customer Service Representative tell you one thing then when it doesn’t happen the next CSR. tells you it was the wrong info so you go back to your customer with you shame because you either have to give them back their money and loose them or bribe them with product and your not making any money on that and then still you can loose them has a customer and Avon doesn’t care because it’s our business and their the supplier that careless about your growth but talk good game to get you on board.

I signed up to do Avon with the promise that my upline would help me set up the website. She took my money – $15 — and said she’d be back “tomorrow. “Well, it’s always tomorrow, now for four consecutive days and NOBODY returns calls.

Please give us a call. We had a big direct delivery order
And the company is not paying us for it.
We are extremely upset.
This is what you get for giving 10 hard years of work to AVON.
No wonder the stock of the company is falling every day.

I am extremely upset with Avon’s computer payment system!!! This is the third time now that I havehad a problem with making my payment on my phone and your computer system takes my payment amount out of my account three times!!!! This is unacceptable!!! This problem has screwed me up with my account, and I want something done about it now!!!! I have tried to call the credit card department, and all I get is a recording and them saying they will call you back, and they never do!!!!! I was told by a representative that don’t call back they just listen to your call, another unacceptable practice from your company!!!!! Now, I like most all your products and I don’t mind selling them, but with the continued problems I am having, I’m not sure how much longer I want to continue selling your products! If I don’t get an answer from someone today, I will report your company to the Better Business Bureau and inform them of the problems I am having with your company!!!

To whom It may concern: I have been selling Avon for 7 years now. I have been trying to get off the no instant credit list for over 4 years now and it’s next to impossible. I called and called Avon and got nowhere I get no warning about being on no instant credit what so ever. I am so disappointed in working for a company that seems to only care about the CEO and making the higher up people rich. Seems to me that the Avon reps are the the bread and butter of the Avon Company and we should be treated better than this. I don’t even know who our district sales manger is anymore. I would LIKE my instant credit back if its not to much trouble .

Possibly a scam, either someone trying to pose as Avon and get you to pay money, or someone used your information and racked up a bill with Avon. Not sure who you can contact for this, but I am sure if you called a local lawyer (might have to do a free consultation) and asked them what you can do in this situation, they can advise you better then anyone on here can. Hope that helps a little bit.
Carolyn says
I ordered two (2) sets of items from Avon through a fundraiser from a school and only received part of my order. I was advised that the Tote Bags for the little girls bubble bath, body wash, shampoo and conditioner was on “back order”. Called Avon today and spoke to a Rebecca who advised me that Avon will not be getting anymore bags nor will they be substituting anything for the bag. This, even though there was no ‘while supplies last’ notation on the form. This is absolute unfair practice. I will never order from Avon again. BUYERS BEWARE. I and several of my co-workers will be sending the items back and requesting a refund!! Terrible business practice!

I called a local representative that showed her name photo, etc online where I live here in Las Cruces, NM. It has been at least one maybe two weeks and I haven’t heard a peep. I would like an English speaking representative that is knowledgeable about your make up in particular about your mascara’s, and that may have stock on hand.
I used to use your mascara all the time until you quit making the Astonishing Lengths. That was such a big mistake. Nothing you have really compares that I have tried. The sample brushes are not like the brushes in the actual containers so you cannot get a real idea as to how the application will be for the product. I used to go to an Avon store in Phoenix/Avondale in Arizona.
Please contact me at my email address. Thank you for your prompt attention to my problem, I really do need some decent mascara and thought I would give you guys a shot again.

A relative of mine sells Avon but is quitting. She makes no money on it. They have changed. Now they are a pyramid scheme. You have to order over $500 in products to make the 40% earnings. Their products are cheaply made and are of very low quality. Yet when the customer returns them, the representative has to pay for the shipping. If you have been off for a while check everything out before signing up again.

Could you please advise me on how to collect money owing to Avon Canada. I have never had this problem before. Dear,
I’m working as a saleswoman for AVON SERBIA more than 13 years. We have technical problem related to one Catalog (03/14), there was one offer for AVON LADIES that after a short period of time AVON SERBIA withdrew and they even haven’t replaced it with another adecuate.
My question to you is: Can I appeal to someone out of Serbia (AVON INTERNATIONAL for example) because in AVON SERBIA they didn’t give me any information about the problem. Hope to hear from you soon, or you might send me the contact of adecuate person which is in charge of legal issues in your company.
Best regards,
Snezana Stosic

You didn’t get your money back because she has to come out of pocket to return your merchandise….Avon is really shady these days for the reps and the customers a lose lose all the way around. Reps lose money when people want to return merchandise because Avon will only give the reps Avon credit not real money back. I’m done with these shady low lifes.
