Under ordinary conditions I would totally understand requiring pharmacy customers to sign a form before allowing them to have their prescriptions delivered. However, requiring elderly patients and/or those with compromised immune systems to come into the store to fill out that form at a time when they are being warned to stay home due to the flu and virus spread makes no sense. Please rethink this requirement for those of us that are in the high risk group.

I live in Las Vegas and have been ordering delivery from VONS for 8 yrs. because I’m disabled and do not have a car. VONS website was down for 7 weeks and had to pay for taxis to get my groceries. This was because Albertsons bought VONS, Safeway & other supermarkets. Finally the website is working, however, they made silly changes and this is because they hire primitive Indians who mess up everything they touch. The last two orders were a headache, February 13 they sent me a yogurt with an expiration date of February 15, even though I requested an expiration date of February 29. I called VONS and the woman said she would credit me $5.00 towards my next purchase but never got this credit. On March 6, I requested delivery between 9 and 1p.m. It was 3 p.m. and no delivery. The driver finally showed up at 3:30 p.m. and brought me two items out of several I ordered and paid. I asked him where was the rest of the items and he answered “I don’t know, I have to come back.” There were two items missing and the box with 18 eggs was totally smashed. I called VONS and a woman named Alice gave me a credit for $12.00, I told her that I did not get my $5.00 credit from before and Alice said that she would email me confirming the credits. To date they have not credited this amount nor I did receive the email from Alice. I expect a credit of $17.00 due me immediately.

By forcing your employees to wear masks for 8+ hours a day you are hurting them physically and mentally. Lack of oxygen is harmful and workers may become forgetful due to lack of oxygen and more accidents may occur which is bad for the company. Heart palpitations, headaches, muscle weakness and spasms may also occur just to name a few. Please allow your employees to have a choice on masks. There is no law that requires us to give up our rights to breath. People who already have issues such as asthma are even more susceptible to the negative affects of lack of oxygen. Your pregnant employees are suffering as well as their unborn children lack of oxygen in the blood will kill the fetus that is the only way the growing baby receives oxygen. Carbon dioxide poisoning is a serious threat with these masks. I urge you to allow your employees to breath.

We shop your stores in Jackson WY and Rexburg ID. We love the struddles from the
bakery, but the plastic bottom and top packaging is ridiculous. Recycle does not take them. There is no reason why they cannot be sold like doughnuts where they are wrapped in bakery paper and put in a paper bag.
Albertson’s needs to be more conscious of this and reduce this plastic waste.

I’ve been shopping with the same Albertson location on 83 and Deer Valley since 2003, when I registered my name, address and phone number. Fast forward to Albertson/Safeway joining and anytime I shopped at that location there was a problem and I had to ask for the manager on duty. There was always a problem with your machine NOT RECOGNIZING ME!!!!!!!!!!!! July, 3, 2019 I went to your location on Bell Rd. and typed in my phone number and the clerk asked for my phone number as again your machine DIDN’T RECOGNIZE ME and I’d been with Albertson’s for 16 YEARS. I’ve had that same phone number since 1998 and lived at the same address since 2003. So, WHAT IS THE PROBLEM NOW WITH YOUR MACHINES????????
Oh, I like to know why you sell bottles of salad dressing with MSG in them, as that item was banned years ago due to health issues????? You also sell soups that have GMO in them. Why do you allow these products to be sold in your stores, which are HARMFUL? Also, human food products from China were banned years ago due to health issues and that should include animal food products. Bottom line money is more important to you than a safe food item on the shelf. SHAME ON YOU.

on 1/28/19 was sick like a dog with cough and fever. Sent my son to the Albertsons on Archibald and scheilsman in Eastvale California to get me a bottle of robitussin cough syrup. He came home with a bottle of the medication being so sick was not thinking about checking the bottle. Took the medication until it was almost empty when I realized the medication has been expired since 11/2018. Went to the store asked for a complaint form I was told they don’t have any. I still have the expired medication and seriously thinking of what to do next. And by the way still sick and went in to see my doctor.

I have been a shopper at Vons Grocery Store #2596 369 Magnolia Ave Corona, Ca.91720
since August 2008, I have spent thousands of dollars in this store and know a lot of the people that work here on a first name basis, in this store at least a couple times a week. I was in the store today and purchased $ 129.05 worth of items, my groceries were bagged except 5 12 pack cases of soft drinks and 12 bottles of Signature sparkling water. I now walk out the door trying to wiggle pass people entering the store and Girl Scouts, Parents of Girl Scouts and a large table with Girl Scout Cookies, I get to my car and continue to load groceries into my car when one of the employees is yelling at me to quit putting the groceries into my car accusing me of stealing the groceries also saying that one of the Girl Scouts saw me sneak out of the store without paying ( is this your security a 10 year old Girl Scout? ) I was humiliated by the accusation and the way I was talked to by this employee who ever she is. I told the accuser that I would walk back in and go to the checkout where I paid and then on the way in the Girl Scout said it wasn’t me, by that time I was very upset that the word of this little girl caused this issue and as far as your employee she just wanted me to blow it off like it never happened. I have been a customer for a long time and now I don’t think I will ever patronize Vons or an Albertsons again. There is a Ralphs and a Stater Bro. not to far away. Funny thing also is I am self employed and have my Logo on the side of my vehicle with a phone number and parked directly in front of this store. This was a debit transition $ 129.05 65 items sold 02/02/19 15:09 2596 3 162 2376.

Never seen any other store that runs ads the way they Albertsons does. makes me feel like they hope you don’t catch little things. Good BY Albertsons

I see where customers of Albertsons complain about mis-pricing of items (especially sale items) — this is a problem in every store I’ve been in. Kroger is also very bad at pricing / shelf-tag positioning (putting the wrong item above a price tag). This is very bothersome as I can’s always stop to read the entire paragraph to find out that the item is mis-shelved. I think this is a problem industry wide and is due to computer tag generation and the huge number of similar items.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE ! FIX THIS PROBLEM ……. for better customer relations.

Shasta Robson is the store director at Albertsons Store #6024 located at 2835 S Nellis Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89121. I was witness to her very unprofessional behavior on numerous occasions.
Shasta likes to yell at the courtesy clerks who are kind, respectful, hard-working young men, about carts not being cleared from the parking lot. I arrive at the store early and notice the parking lot is full of carts before many of the courtesy clerks start their shifts. The managers in charge of the night crew are not doing their jobs to make sure the carts are being cleared, which doubles the workload for the next shift.
Courtesy clerks should not be yelled at to clear the parking lot of carts as soon as they arrive at work, when the blame lies on the courtesy clerks before them who did not do their jobs. My husband and one of the courtesy clerks have something in common. They both served in the U.S. Air Force. Shame on Shasta for taking her frustrations out on courtesy clerks.
All employees should be treated with respect. Veterans especially who fought for our country should not be treated with disrespect. What Shasta is doing is verbal abuse. I thought Albertsons treats all customers and employees with respect? I am shocked to have witnessed this unprofessional behavior from a Store Director.
Because of Shasta Robson’s unprofessional behavior, my friends and I will not be shopping at this store. I have lost respect for this store director and will be letting all my neighbors know about how she treats her employees.
Shasta is also not listening to the employees. She just throws her arms up in the air and says “I don’t care!” when she is told that a customer who was banned has returned to the store. Shoplifting is rampant in this store. I saw a man carry cartons of beer and food out of the store, and no one stopped him.
I was shocked to overhear that Nicky, a manager at this store, wanted the courtesy clerks to wash trash cans and place them on the shelves for the customers to purchase. This is a health code violation and if I find out the courtesy clerks followed her orders and placed these used trash cans on the shelves to be sold, I will be reporting this incident to the Health Department.
Because of the drug users coming into the store, there should not be an open food bar. I won’t purchase food from the Wing Bar because I’ve seen customers take food from the Wing Bar, and leave the bones on shelves. They walk right out of Albertsons without paying for the food they just ate. Obviously, no one is watching the Wing Bar. I will be alerting the Health Department about this situation.
The money it is costing to renovate this store should be spent on raising salaries and hiring security to prevent people from stealing. This in turn, might lower the price of food customers pay to offset the loss of foot from shoplifters. This store is in a high-crime drug area and should have armed security. The casinos have armed security, why not supermarkets? Calling Metro doesn’t work because I have seen over and over again the police just release the shoplifter.

Live in Polson, MT and since Albertson’s bought out Safeway, they have been unable to get Open Nature Greek Frozen Cherry Yogart in the quart size. Several Albertson’s folks have contacted me, assuring me they would get it, but you changed warehouses, so far they can’t get it. Also the change to Albertson’s bakery items has really down graded the level of good bakery goods — it appears most are shipped in where they used to be baked locally. The employees at the Safeway Polson store are top notch excellent customer oriented employees. Ruth and Yetta, the cashier’s are wonderful, Josh the frozen food section is great, produce manager is top notch and store manager is always there for customers.

To Whom It May Concern,
I have enjoyed shopping at the Albertsons in Banning, CA since 1994. For the last two years, however, the customer service has been in decline while prices are no longer competitive with nearby stores. The service is slow, cashiers and other workers do not look happy to be working at the store, rotation of product (FIFO) is poor and customer/manager interaction is now rare. After speaking with a worker, I was informed that since the merger with VONS, new systems of management have been put into place. The worker spoke about the inequity in worker pay compared to employees at the VONS store in Redlands. Albertsons was once a bustling supermarket, it is now slow even on payday. The vibe in the store reminds me of Kmart, before it started going out of business. Management needs to change. Please treat your employees better!

I live in a retirement community near the Albertsons on Highland Springs in Banning, CA. Today I made two trips to the store to buy two items for a family gathering. Each time it took me a minute to pick up the items and 30 minutes to check out. There were three check stands open and 10 people at each stand waiting impatiently, including the 15 items or less. Almost every time I go in the store there are lines with minimal stands open. There used to be “threes a crowd” and another stand would open. That sign has been removed as of a few months ago. I asked the checker what was happening and she said she was sorry but it was out of her hands. Many retirees are complaining and going to Walmart and Stater Bros. Stater Bros never has more than three customers waiting. You will lose a lot more if something isn’t done to correct the problem.

I concur. Customer service at this store is poor. At one time, they had the best customer service out of all the local supermarkets. Patronage at this store is in decline. Management needs to improve if it wishes to remain competitive.

Your store on Rosedale Avenue in Bakersfield, CA should be shut down entirely. I have worked in customer service my entire life and have never taken anything to corporate before today.
I moved to Bakersfield in November of 2016 and -unfortunately – did not have a car out here. I decided to order from Von’s on Rosedale as it was close to me and the only store that delivers in my area.
The first time I received rotten produce, I thought perhaps it was a singular experience and I would give them another go as it was my first time ordering, and therefore, I had no experience to the contrary.
Each delivery I have gotten since that firs delivery has contained at least one rotten or long expired product. A jar of apple sauce I received was over THREE MONTHS out of date!
Recently, I had the second instance of ham ordered for my daughter being well passed it’s date. I was supposed to receive a $6 credit – and as of just this moment, while I wait for over 30 minutes to speak to someone almost 2 months later – I still have not received my credit. I add it as a note to my orders, mention it to delivery drivers and I get NOTHING. I am no longer ordering from Von’s Delivery service. You lost a customer a high paying customer.
It would be one thing if it was a sporadic occurrence but this is something that happens so often that I am disgusted and SHOCKED that a store would deliver to families with such a blatant disregard for their well-being.
I cringe, thinking about elderly people who can not shop for themselves and may not check their produce, fresh and canned foods before consumption.
Albertson’s, Von’s and every other name associated with this travesty of a chain should be ashamed at the quality of the product going out to (HIGH) paying customers.

in connection with your store on the Bothell Everett Highway in Mill Creek, please advise your managers to place a large, easily discernible sign on a post outside that major entry that they so often close at unpredictable periods of time. Many of your customers, including myself, approach the doorway only to find a very small sign mounted to the inside of the door that cannot be read until you actually have your nose up against the glass. It is horribly inconsiderate to cause people, especially at night, to walk to that portion of the store thinking they have access only to find out that those doors are locked. I will shop elsewhere until I see such a sign as I have suggested.

Tonight was by far the worst experience I have ever had at the Coeur d Alene, Ironwood store and I will not be back ever again.
I came in with my daughter around 9pm and did some shopping. When I got to the check out they were busy and didn’t bother to call for back up and the available people were just sitting around. So I tried to use the self check out. I got all the stuff rang up, but when I tried to scan the yogurt it wouldn’t scan and the lady just sitting there wouldn’t help. So I got upset and decided to not get anything and as we were leaving the lady grabbed my daughter’s arm and asked her if she was going to pay for the stuff. Once again we weren’t taking anything with us. I stated I would never be back and another old lady with grey hair told us “good, don’t come back.” Really, that is so unprofessional. I will be letting everyone I know about my experience and will also be making a complaint to corporate office.

To Albertsons,
I was shopping at your store located on Mukilteo Speedway Washington State. I was checking out getting ready to pay $186.00 worth of groceries with a check. The cashier said they couldn’t take my check because it exceeded the limit?? What limit?? I was never informed that I had a limit or how much the limit is? So the cashier called the manager over and she explained, “the code that came up is my bank said that my check exceeds my limit” what a bunch of hog wash! At that moment I had two choices walk out n leave my groceries or pay with my debit which I HATE using at the grocery store!! I chose to make a point by using my debit that I had plenty of money to pay for my groceries. I have written plenty of checks over the last 30 years for a lot more than $186.00 I can assure you. Albertsons is forcing people into using their debit card so it can get hacked…no thanks! I spend a lot of money on groceries ALOT! I have written checks at Albertsons many times with no issue. But after the humiliation I suffered in that check out line I will NEVER NEVER shop at Albertsons again!! I will post on face book and my blog of the horrible experience I had at Albertsons. My whole family and friends will refuse to shop there. I’m so upset by my experience I’m very tempted to write an editorial to the Everett Herald or Komo 4 News alerting them to the fact that if you shop at Albertsons you will be forced into using a card to pay for groceries. I am taking my money and my business to Fred Meyer where I can write checks to my hearts content!!

Good Morning:
I’m writing you concerning a complaint that I have while at one of your Albertsons #4124 on April 14, 2017 at 12:52pm . First of all let me say that a few of my co workers and friends that are of color has had similar experiences, while my friends that are caucasian have not. Yesterday, that particular store, was more convenient for me so I made the choice to shop there. When I went to your meat department there was a gentleman working, who looked up and seen me standing there, and never tried to assist me. He continued to do what he was doing. Needing help, I called my son to assist me over the telephone. I asked your employee for a particular type of fish, and he told me that perhaps it was in the frozen department. I hung up the phone with my son and I told him I would go there, and return with what I wanted to purchase. I went to try and find it in the direction that he pointed to, and couldn’t find it. As I returned, I stood about 10 feet away from him, knowing what I wanted to purchase. He continued to work. He looked up at me I smiled, and he continued to work. Another customer came up to the far end of the counter, and he stopped what he was doing, and he went to assist her. She never called him for assistance. He took the initiative to give her adequate customer service. I apologize for not knowing exactly what his name is, but he never got close enough for me to see his name tag, and I was unable to talk to him. I went over where I seen another guy working name Mike who was unloading items from a box, and asked him a question about fish. He stopped what he was doing, and went behind the counter and assisted me. My first thought was to put everything that I had purchased back because of the service that I received. Under the cirXXXXstance, that was not a possibility because I was under serious time constraints. I give Albertsons a lot of my hard earned money on a weekly basis, just not this particular store. I find it appalling that race is a very big issue at this store. My previous experiences at this store has been walking up to unfriendly cashiers. They don’t greet you when you approach their register, if you are a particular race. I remember my second experience at this store I had to look up and see the total for myself because your cashier never told me. She rung up everything and just stood there looking at me. The only reason I didn’t call or write about her, is because at the time I figured she was probably having a bad day. However, looking back on that experience, even if she was, that is not an excuse for taking your mood out on customers that are keeping you in operation. My kids attend Trinity Valley School on Bryant Irving and this store is certainly more convenient, but because of this experience, and others I have now made the decision, to go out of my way, to have a much pleasant experience elsewhere.

Went to Albertsons in Highland Ca with my 3 year old son, while walking through the promotion aisle my son walked right into a BBQ grill they had on display in the middle of the aisle as it was his exact height receiving a large bump and small gash leading into a black eye. I asked to speak to a manager (Steve) who took more than 20 minutes to find then once located proceeded to start checking and ignored us, i told him i would like, to file an incident report as my child was hurt where he responded very rudely and inconsideratly that he would take care of it in a minute which i reponded you are the manager find someone else to check and take care of it now it was hid s responsibility. He became annoyed by the fact that he had to file the incident so was very cold and matter of fact when taking information which i found troubling since he is the one in charge . Steve should be ashamed of himself for his rude behavior and his inability to respond to this incident in a professional procedureal manner, this was my child we were discussing not milk, he needs to be replaced

I traded with Albertson’s in California for approx 25 years and no issues moved then to Oregon and the stores here are terrible. I been over charged almost every time I go in. I go back cuz am disabled and its close to my house and also has many handicapped spots right in front……>>>This is the last time I went in and was told by customer service that i come in trying to get big amounts of money back???I am 80 years old had my receipt even called them to tell them as soon as I got home that i was way over charged again . I even took zerox copy of the add but she reamed me out loud right in front of customers and also in front of my neighbor. I was so upset I was ready to leave and she still kept hollering. When neighbor got me to parking lot he said he better check the ticket as I had him pick me up 2 cases of water on sale and sure enough he was also over charged 3.50 cents. I have had it!!! This store even had one of its workers use the FU– word to me when she was asked to help me. I asked for manager to call me and been 10 days and no call…….I doubt these are read but need to speak to Corporate and the phone number listed is not TOLL free!!! Stay away from Albertson’s and Safeway’s.

This Albertson’s store is in Eugene, Oregon the one that the customer service person made a remark to me that I was coming in to get money for stuff not even on receipt which is a lie I had the receipt also called the sore as soon as I got home & told them. They said bring back receipt I did that plus a copy of their add. I still got reamed out in front of customers and also my neighbor who took me there. I am disables hard for me to get around and they know this since I shopped here for at least 23 years. Any manage that would hire a person or bring in one from another store that tells a customer that when I check out I need to come o customer service and wait for somebody to come go thru my groceries and receipt to make sure no mistakes? I am in congestive hearty failure and also have to get people to bring me when they can and to do this is crazy since they can’t get items into their terminals correct they harass the customers….. THIS NEEDS TO be told to higher management before another store sinks…..I can not even call Corporate due to no toll free number… This manage here still has not returned my call and it is about a week wince I left message for him to call.

I live in McMinnville Oregon and I’m never going to shop at the local Albertson’s store. About a month ago I went to do my regular shopping ad to pick up some shrimp from the ad. They were advertised for $7.99 a pound, but when I asked where those shrimp were I was told that they were not available and that if I wanted shrimp I would have to pay $12.99 per pound. I was told that just because it was in the ad for the smaller amount that it is up to the manager to sell it for that price. In my mind that is false advertising. Yesterday I was in the neighborhood and I needed some milk so I stopped in and to get some chicken advertised for $1.59 per pound, and again I was told that it was not available for that price. There are about 6 other grocery stores in town so I don’t need this store with their false ads.

I used to work for a Safeway store in the Bay Area and let me tell you, ALL CUSTOMERS SHOULD BOYCOTT THIS CHAIN OF STORES. Petition for your city to remove any and all Safeway stores from within its borders because their treatment of employees is horrendous and I guarantee flies have been on your food, someone didn’t wash their hands, or your “vegetarian” meal has come into contact with meat.
~Fun fast fact: The living wage for California is $12.65 an hour when it is one adult in the household. It is $25.25 when there are two adults (one working) and one child in the household. The average American family has three members living under one roof at any given time.
~Poverty wage for a household with one adult is $5 an hour. Poverty wage for a household with two adults (one working) and one child is what Safeway chooses to pay many of their employees; $10 an hour.

My husband works at Albertson’s in Sheridan Wyoming. He started in September 2015, right before everything went to hell with the merger with Safeway. I can tell you this problem with cutting people’s hours seems to be common with all the stores. It is extremely stressful for the employees, their families and the CUSTOMERS! They are not getting taken care of properly due to the staffing cuts! I just found out that next week, THE WEEK BEFORE THANKSGIVING…my husband’s hours (and everyone else’s in the meat department) are SIGNIFICANTLY cut! I am disheartened. We can’t rely on a steady income from that place. Since the Corporate suits don’t seem to care about anything except lining their OWN pockets….I hope they enjoy it. Because they will eventually fail. CUSTOMERS are unhappy. EMPLOYEES are unhappy. Many customers are shopping elsewhere now! I can’t wait until my husband can get the HELL out of there! It used to be a good place to shop and to work. NOT THE CASE ANYMORE!!

An Albertsons in Louisiana refused to bake a Trump themed birthday cake for an 18 year old girl. Apparently the woman working there decided her personal political views gave her the right to use corporate fascism to punish what she considered her political opponents.

Bakery Refuses to Bake Donald Trump Cake – No One Sues, Customers Simply Use Different Bakery
By Onan Coca September 8, 2016
In a shocking development, someone was refused service at a bakery, and instead of suing, the customer instead chose to give their business to a different bakery!
A Facebook post from one Louisiana teenager has gone viral after local media picked up the story.
Apparently, Ms. Gill was ordering a birthday cake for her Trump themed 18th birthday party when she was notified by the baker that she would not be making such a cake for her. When Gill and her mother arrived at the Albertson’s bakery to order their cake, they never expected that they might be doing something controversial. “We just need an American flag cake with Trump 2016 on it, and right when I said Trump the lady just (makes face) kinda Trump? And she was like I can make you a flag cake but I’m not going to write Trump on it,” Ms. Gill told the local Fox News station. When they realized that the bakery would not make the cake they wanted, they simply went elsewhere to get it. “It’s your job, we’re not really going for your opinion on what you think of the candidates we were just wanting Trump 2016 on the cake.”
Gill later recounted her story on Facebook as a way to “vent” her frustration, never expecting the story to gain national attention. In response to the traction that the story gained and the threat of backlash from local shoppers, Albertson’s corporate office issued an apology and said that the employees simply misunderstood company policy regarding copyrighted phrases, which sounds like an odd explanation for their initial refusal.
I would argue that there is a bigger lesson to be learned here though.
Notice that in response to the customer being refused service, there was an uproar and that the financial interests of the store were threatened, which pushed them to action. This is the way that a difference of opinion, complaint, or problem should be handled in a free market system. This is quite different than the methods used by homosexual activists to browbeat anyone who disagrees with their values and beliefs. In recent years we’ve seen example after example of a Christian-owned business being sued and persecuted by activists and local governments in an effort to drive those folks out of business. This is not the way a “free” society handles discrimination or dispute.
How much better off would our nation be if the liberal fascists stopped using the government as a bludgeon against conservative Christian citizens, and instead simply used the free market to voice their disagreement? Perhaps we’d be a kinder, gentler country if we were all free to believe and to shop as we pleased.

My wife and I shop at the Walmart in Sheridan, WY, 1865 Coffeen Ave. I’ve never had a problem with the manager or employees and know they are doing their best. Unfortunately today while our car was parked in the lot someone hit our door leaving several dents and some of the white paint from their vehicle. The manager was nice enough to take us to see the video but told us their system was not working and no video of the parking lot was available. Now my wife and I are considering shopping elsewhere where the parking lot video is functioning and our vehicle is somewhat protected.

I live in California where the Vo’s stores were bought out buy Alberton’s from what I understand. The Von’s sTores here in San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay, Grover Beach, Santa Maria, Nipomo, Paso Robles used to be Williams Bros and was owned by a local chain until Von’s bought all these stores out. Than they bough out Safeway and carry Safeway brands. In our area and not even up north there is not a separate store with the Safeway name on ir. That was absorbed by Von’s store. Von’s Store puts out their owns grocery ads with the specials in it that has Safeway brands.
Now that Albertson’s has bought out Von’s store there really only two stores that I know of in our area with the Albertson’s store name on them. One in Paso Robles and one 60 miles to the south of it in Santa Maria,Ca.
Even though Albertson’s bought out Von’s the corporate headquarters still continues to put out the different advertisements independent of each other. If it is a corporate store with all these stores underneath that Albertson’s should be running one add for all the stores wit the same Ad sales posted for both stores.
Instead you have separate ads for the the weekly items. That is a contradiction in terms. If you bought out the Von’s Store . Then you should change the name of Von’ s store to the Albertson’s name brand. This again is very confusing.
I also thing that these stores should merge products , etc. Hopefully, the workers are all on the same pay program. I was looking at the adds today and was concerned because there were some items in Albertson’s than were less expensive. I would have to drive 30 miles to get the best prices at Albertson’s in Paso Robles, CA. I just thing this a very conflicting ownership and am disappointed on how this is not providing quality service at the best possible prices. It is almost like the two separate stores are completing for the customer ‘s service but the customer may not know these stores fall under one umbrella. I do not feel that this is an honest approach to the potential customer. We are being deceived by the two different ads because they fall under different store names. So in actuality the Corporate store is not advertising in a honest way. They can have one product like a April ham, same name brand at a sale price, at a Von’s for instance, than at Abertson’s have that same product at a regular price. That is a conglomerate ownership doing a balancing price act with the product and coming out ahead. That does not sound ethical or legal. Not right or fair to the potential customer. I am sure more people will pick up on this. What happened to the small town honest customer service with quality products at fair prices and great sales? It is all about making a profit now for corporate and the big bucks not ” hoe can we service the customer at fair prices with quality food products”.

I am sick of tired of going into Albertsons Store on Ridgecrest Drive. I go there because I live across the street, but Smith’s is looking better to me everyday. I doesn’t matter how many times I go in there, the Cashiers are rude, frowning, loud and obnoxious. I remember complaining to someone and they told me the Head Cashier is the boss of the store; I asked to speak to the Store Manager and he said it would be a waste of time, she follows and does anything the Head Cashier tells her. What kind of organization is this? I also noticed a couple of the Cashiers I did go to have all left. What a shame a click like this is forming at a store I thought to be the best in Rio Rancho. I hate the morale and the way I am no longer treated as family!

Mr. Miller & Mr. Seeberger,
Dr. Seeberger was my wife’s neurologist for many years. We would travel from El Paso to Boise for her treatment. Please tell her that Ronda and I said “hello”.
I wanted to tell you how blessed we are to have Mr. Arturo Ye at our neighborhood Albertson’s store.
I have shopped at Albertson’s (#934) since the store opened. I have always had a great relationship with many of the employees and managers. As former principal of Eastwood Middle School, the managers would call me when a student was caught taking candy without paying for it and I would take the student to school and call the parents rather than involve the Police in a childish mistake.
I have personally witnessed the changes (good and not as good) with this store over the many years of operation. I would like to tell you that this store has NEVER been as good as it is today. It is as though I walked into my own home when I enter the store. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming to all of the customers. I see employees going totally out of their way to assist and help customers.
In particular, I would like to recognize Mr. Arturo Ye, store manager. He exemplifies the “Boy Scout Law”: loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, brave, clean and reverent. As principal, asst. superintendent of schools, and former owner of three electronics manufacturing companies, Mr. Ye is the type of employee that I strive to hire. He is always ready and willing to go above and beyond and reasonable expectation to assist me and other customers. He has become like a personal friend to me and my mother-in-law who is 93 and stills shops at Albertson’s.
Mr. Seeberger, thank you and all of the at this Albertson’s store staff for the wonderful shopping atmosphere that Mr. Ye has evoked at this great store. Please give my specific thanks to Mr. Arturo Ye.
Sincerely,

I shop regular at the Albertson at 5881 E Charleston, Las Vegas NV. I went through a cashier line and she was very rude and seemed to been irritated for what I don’t know but I asked for a manager and i was told that she is a manager at the register i just left. I ask for the number to corporate and i think they gave me the number to there store and it seemed to me as if they all at that store covered up The cashier behavior, which name is Sarah. What caused this whole incident to begin with, I got in her line with 6 Items to be checked out each separately because i wanted to get a 100.00 back on each item from a ATM debit card…Sarah , the rude manager, ask me if i were getting cash back on each Item and i said yes. Sarah, the rude Manger then said i cant do cash back on each item which i understood and didn’t have a problem with that. I then asked her how many can she do separately with cash back and she said 2. I said ok and she ask if i were going to pay for the other Items on one order and i told her no, ill pay for the others at customer service because i had to go there anyway for other business which i didn’t tell her other business because i really didn’t think nothing of it and i guess that’s where her attitude started somewhere during that time. she gave a face expression to let me know she had an attitude and her rude unprofessional ass toss my TV dinner across the register really hard with a attitude!!! Maybe my being in this wheelchair and being in her line to long irritated her or maybe she felt like my presences and being in the wheelchair and trying to make to many transaction bothered her… I ask one of the other store managers to look at the camera, and she said she would and get back in touch with me ,which she did not. I called her the next day after she said that she would get back in touch with me and did not. when she got on the phone i reminded her that i spoke with her yesterday and gave her my name and she said yes i remember , and I asked her did she view the camera and she said yes and she stated that she didn’t see anything unusual on the camera and the camera don’t have audio to hear anything or noises. I feel it was all a cover up and i know that camera showed the manager named Cathy, who claimed she viewed the camera, and saw nothing unusual on it…They covered up everything and i believe lied…since its a issue with a customer, let the customer see what you claim you didn’t see unusual about the camera or on the camera. I believe Sarah, thought that me being in this wheelchair, i wasn’t aware of her attitude and actions like someone else walking through her line would have noticed …The manager named Cathy told the biggest LIE that anyone could tell. Cathy , told me that another employee made Sarah aware that i was upset and i do believe that part ,but the part i know is a bold face lie, Cathy claimed that Sarah said she heard i was upset and she was looking for me to apologize because she didn’t feel she had a attitude or did anything wrong toward me so she look for me in the store and could not fine me..That was the biggest lie ever because i stayed in the store at least an house in a half after that incident, continuing on grocery shopping and i passed That low down dirty Sarah’s path a few times during that visit and she new it and said sh!t!!!!When i got ready to check out , Sarah register were right across and she looked in my face and didn’t say a word…OK, really????do that seem like a person who wanted to apologize to someone??????????Albertson can go to hell and I”ve spent so much money with them but i’ll never go there again or any of there company affiliated stores and if i can stop others from going i most definitely will….Smith’s , Wal-mart, and Target got great food and the best drugstore services and viewers, You guys should go there….Wal-mart will match prices as well!!!!! PLEASE DON”T SHOP AT ALBERTSON!!!call me i will tell you were great deals and sales are…corporate don’t care because they all work together

Richard says
Perfect , totally agree ! These “Wanna be Doctors”, are here to distribute meds not diagnose you. The Dr. sent the prescription on his expertise, an not to be second guessed by the Pharmacist. They hold your medications that are critical an that cannot be suddenly stopped because they feel that your taken to much! Obviously the Dr. felt you need them. drugstore in Oak Knolls has three counter girls and two lead Pharmacists who act as if you are bothering them when asking them to do what is expected of them, which is to make sure when your on auto fill, you should not be the one who has to call for this, it is there job! Then you have to go out of your way to do their job, which in reality is more frustrating. You call your Dr. to follow up and they say they have already done their part, so now it is back on the incompetent staff of drugstore. Then when approaching the matter the staff has no confidentiality at all. They are quick to state your business out loud, but when asking why your prescription is 5 days late they ask for quiet. These actions from staff lead to more delays and lies by them telling you “Our mistake come back in an hour” that hour turns to 3-5 days. Now this incompetence is not something a heart patient should have to endure or anyone for that matter taking such important medications that staff feels you don’t need therefore putting you off. In short the drugstore staff in Oak Knolls needs a completely new trained professional staff, from the Pharmacist who wants to play doctor, down to the very rude, obnoxious, ignorant, counter girls! A persons medical condition, already diagnosed by a Dr. does not need inexpierenced advice from drugstore techs. They are here to distribute medication and nothing more. Thy don’t know our situations and have no need to, so just stick to your job, and if working with the public is difficult for you, find another job, don’t take your unhappy bitterness out on people who in reality are suppose to be able to look to you, rather than the present which to hope and pray we don’t have to deal with you stubborn rude people.

Hello, I am currently employed with Albertsons
and I must say that I have never worked for a company that is so unorganized. I am a front end cashier and in Dec. I was offered quite a few tips that I was enabled to keep by my immediate managers who were keeping their tips as well(We spoke about thing things often). The hiring manager stated that if I do receive them have the manager on duty count my till. I did this to cover my duties then I later find out that this is not how the company works…We are not to receive tips, I’m called into a office with all of management and the G.M He asks why I’m taking tips..he was very rude stating what makes you think you can mix my money with your money? Previously while on isolation (that I didn’t know I was on because management failed to relay the message) management let others use my till where 100 was short and Mr.Mike asked my bluntly did I take it After offending me horribly(I was in tears). Angered I immediately went back to work.Longstory shortened I was told No we don’t take tips in a drawn out meeting where I told him(Mike Frankford and Tollway Dallas,Tx)about the two managers one whom stated that we can receive our tips and the other whom received tips and put me in such a position and the G.m who did me no justice by stating that what’s talked about doesn’t leave this room because he would have to lose 50 years of experience between the two managers. I couldn’t believe this type of discrimination still existed. I was hired as a full time employee, after this incident I have received no more than 25 hours of work per week. I would shop there that’s why I applied there but this experience has definetly changed my perspective on this company as a whole. T. W

I have seen more and more people going grocery shopping with their dogs in a cart. One lady put a filthy blanket in the cart then put her dog in it. This is where I put my groceries like raw produce. I felt sick and left the store for somewhere else. Seems when someone sees how freely they can take their pet grocery shopping others see how it is ok and this becomes a problem. Please, please have managers kindly not permit it. It is absolutely disgusting. I have also seen a man taking towelettes and totally clean his cart, I wonder why. I have even seen a woman with her dog in the dentist office that was permitted to go into the dental exam room. This is getting to be way, way too much.
kim says
You do not know if the blanket was filthy. I have seen dirty snotty nosed kids also sitting in those carts. For that matter i have seen smelly dirty adults pushing and putting their hands all over the carts. When i buy produce i put it in a plastic bag. Then i go home and WASH it before i eat it. I would rather see people come in with their dogs than leave them in the car, Which they would probably do. Every can, piece of fruit or vegetable is being handled by a ton of people. I can bet a million that a majority of those hands are incredibly more filthy, germ filled and nasty than a dog sitting on a blanket in the cart. Get over it and stop being such a prude hater.

In the 80’s When Bob was in charge. Not now. Employ’s on cell phones all over the floor. Employ’s and managers arguing in front of customers. Employs getting away with absolute murder, at least in the southern california stores. Politics. Good work ethics are long gone. I think Bob would be rolling if he saw how store management at CEO’s let things run now in stores. In the 80’s you worked hard you were appreciated and got hours. Now you just have to kiss and be best best friends with the store director or management to obtain that. Shoot! now you could even get yourself in trouble by doing the right things and expecting the same from all the kiss ass’s.

I used to shop at the vons in Oakhurst ca. But now I hear it is albertsons. I went to shop and saw the ridiculous high prices and left the store. I now shop at grocery outlet. I am disabled and on a fixed income. I can’t afford the ridiculous high prices at albertsons. I heard other shoppers saying the same thing. I wonder how long albertsons will last in our small town? Not long I hope!

I currently worked at the Albertsons in mountain home idaho. The manager Lori and Matt fired me saying I called in seven times in two months. They would not give me proof of those absences. I only called in three times and I had someone go in to cover one of them and the other time my dog was sick I have no family or anything and she was throwing up and XXXXXting everywhere so I had to stay home to take care of her. One employee Carmela stepped towards me the first week I worked there she tried to hit me and the assistant manger Tammy had to step in but never made a compliant to Lori or Matt the managers. This place is a very bad place and it’s messed up. The manager Lori favors people and treats others like crap. She is not a good manager and this work place needs to be investigated.

I KNOW how ya feel Sarah!!! I used to work at #2714 and the Store Director there is the SAME way!!! He has his particular favorites and treats others like “crap”!!! As a matter of fact, I’d left my employ there once, back in 2010 [cause I was 42 years old and 4 months pregnant, stressed to the hilt, and the Bakery MIM at the time came in and jumped my XXXXX!!] went to another store, came BACK to #2714 [in 2012], and when he didn’t like/or appreciate my decorating skills enough, he called work like I had done at that other store exactly that–“crap”!!!! In front of at least 5 other fellow employees in the bakery!!!!!!!!!! And if THAT isn’t enough, he jumped my XXXXX off the clock!!! Excuse ME, but isn’t that AGAINST Albertson’s company policy?!?!?!?! Later I find out that he called my young 2 1/2yr old son [at that time] a “retard”!!!!!!!!!!!! So, I DEFINITELY know what you mean!!! #2714 should ABSOLUTELY be investigated, both by Corporate, AND [in my opinion] by the Board of Health!!! T00 many times I was trying to decorate cakes in an area where water was dropping off on me AND the cakes I was decorating!!! And I had to put that “crap” out!!! So Sarah, you are NOT alone!!

This is a letter concerning my daughter-in law Maria Robello and my son David Robello. The letter adddresses the death of their infant child, and my grandchild. The loss of Maria’s baby was due to heavy lifting and hard labor while pregnant. The store director at the time , Mel Matthews, addresses Maria to partake in hard labor even while pregnant, Mel was well aware that Maria was at a high risk pregnancy. He had 3 letters from her doctors, and he had no concern for her or the well- being of her unborn son at the time. due to strained labor and a stressful work environment, Maria went into labor early and gave birth to her stillborn son. It’s devastating not having our grandchild here with us in the world. The pain of not being able to see him grow up is unfathomable. Instead, we tell him how much we love him in our hearts and in our prayers. We only hope that one day we will get to see him in Heaven. I hold Mel Matthews and Albertsons responsible for there cruetly with Maria while she was under his supervision as an employee.
Respectfully, Joyce Robello

I used to shop at the store in San Clemente CA till i saw a manager use a shopping cart to
transport recyclables to the recycle center. I understand the homeless do it but I always thought the carts were strictly for putting your groceries in while you shop then to your car. The cleanliness of your store
makes me feel good when i shop for food. But when i see a manager use the same shopping carts people use to put there Food, Produce, stuff there going to eat as a easier way to get his used cans bottles etc to recycle. Its not a clean practice. I had to take the GMP food manufacturing course required by the FDA for food safety for my current job. You should have similar requirements. Thanks

As a former employee I have seen and have doXXXXented proof of not only safety issues but public health as well.I, and many others have watched there bakery floor covered in raw sewage when they have had plumbing problems at least on two occasions. Food was still being prepared while the stench was actually causing employees to get sick. For months at a time I watched the roof leak, the roof is covered in pigeon ***, right onto the prep tables and food on it in the deli.THE FOOD WAS STILL SOLD TO CUSTOMERS.The atrocities go well beyond that but that’s something the health officials can deal with. Why would you allow pigeons to nest directly over your coolers of food until the dead babies have rotted through the ceiling onto the coolers, not to mention the 4 inch high pile of *** on it,FOR MONTHS! The list goes on!

To who it may concern:
Today I visited the store in Lafayette, Lousiana at Ambassador Caffery and Kaliste Saloom. As i browsed the produce section, I happened to look up at the Bakery counter and was not quite satisfied with what I witnessed. As i approached the donut case, I caught a glance at an elderly woman licking the spatula that she was using to decorate a cake. At the time, she was not wearing gloves. She then proceeded to spread icing onto the cake with the same tool. I looked around the department to see if there was another employee insight that could talk to about the situation but there was no one else. Shopping at this store is a weekly routine; the associates are nice. I am grossed out about the situation now so therefore I will not be buying anything from the bakery again.

I refuse to shop at the clovis nm Albertsons. I have seen the manager jeff yell at the girl working with the flowers. I have seen several of the meat cutters n people working g at the counter smoking pot outside behind the store. The meat manager Bruce walks around all day n the assistant meat manager thinks it’s his personal play ground. Front end manager trying to get meat discounted n then have the meat cutters hide it for her in the back till it goes on sale. To Chris a meat cutter who refused to help me n cut the meat I wanted cuz he was about to go home or the other time he said they didn’t have it even though I know the truck came in it was a Wednesday. Cashiers eating n drinking while working n bakery refused to make a cake for me. The meat case always empty n shelves bare. Sale items not stocked up n when asked if any in back they refuse to go look or go in the back stand there n come out saying they are out.
The only good thing going for that store is a man named Gilbert n mike n scott.

I have a problem with the way the prices are marked in the bakery. Cookies are marked as .49¢ and the bagels are .79¢ each. I tried several times to explain to the managers that there is a difference between .49¢ and 49¢. At the shelf price, I can buy 100 cookies for 49¢.
No one understood me. Apparently the decimal point is “decoration.”
I would like someone at Albertson’s to take this question to the bank and then get back to me.
Ben Peters says
Easily one of the stupidest comments I’ve ever read on any chat board. I agree with your semantic argument. 49 cents and .49 cents are vastly different. Are you really saying that when you saw .49 cents you believed that Albertson’s was selling cookies for less than 2 for a penny? Give me a break.

I’ve been around corporate people for a long time. Never seen what is going on with Safeway. Might as well close most of the stores before you take over. Safeway is trying to destroy many of them before Albertsons takes over. I don’t work for them but have someone in Delta Co that does. Looks as though they are cutting hours to put more money in corporate pockets before Albertsons takes over. Feel sorry for Albertsons. Safeway is killing the customer base. Pits for employees and pits for customers..

Hello,
I truly hope this letter reaches someone who has the authority to make a difference in the life of an employee. At approximately 7:15 pm, on April 7, 2014. I approached Estella Cervantes who works in the Bakery. I told her that I was looking for “Ladyfingers” and when she explained that she didn’t know what they were. I described them, and we had a short discussion about them, and how she remembered that they had been available once, but not anymore. She then brainstormed with me about other locations for where I could find these elusive little cakes. When she mentioned a couple of locations that were downtown, and in areas that I wasn’t familiar with (I no longer live in Albuquerque or Rio Rancho, I’m here on vacation) she offered to check them FOR me on her way to work in the morning. I protested, but she insisted. She THEN offered to purchase the items herself, if they had the for me, so that I wouldn’t have to make an unnecessary trip into town! She called me the next morning, and told me that neither place had them, but she had several other suggestions, and was apologizing to ME, for not being able to find them and THEN she THANKED me, Can you imagine? She took the phrase: ” Going above and beyond” to a WHOLE new level! Which is really saying something considering the fact that in my opinion Albertsons already has the best customer service anyhow. Please, take this and information and reward this amazing lady in any manner that you can for this. I can only do a few little things for her, flowers aren’t the same as recognition from the powers that be for a job very well done! If anyone has any questions or would like to discuss this further, I can be reached @ 1-(505)-409-XXXXX. Thank You for listening (reading) Heather-Michelle Trujillo

To whom it may concern:
I went to Albertson’s Store located on Craig and Decatur in Las Vegas, NV, this morning April 4, 2014. I’m making a complaint about an older lady and a younger male employee that was busy talking about how good it is to that they got rid of the quick check-out machine. Well, the quick check-out machine is alot better than the cashiers, for the employees at Albertson Store are busy gossiping while checking out groceries. They’re so worried about the machine taking over their jobs. I’d rather have a machine check out my groceries than to have an employee that gossips with employees and customers. I will be doing my shopping at another grocery store, I hear that Smih’s Food King employees takes their jobs seriously, that’s the business that consumers want.

Deli department who always works so hard to make our shopping experience a delightful

Also Julia the cashier is another great employee who also works very hard to make
the customer feel happy and glad they shopped there.

I live in San Pedro Ca zip 90731 near your store at 25th and Western ave. I’m a landlord and have had a USPS express mail envelope stolen from my porch or delivered to the wrong address. The sender (my tenant) did not ask for a signature for conformation .
The mail contained 2 Money Gram money orders for $500 each (rent) from the tenant in Riverside Ca.
One was cashed at the above mentioned Albertson’s. I’m waiting for a copy of the second money order which was cashed the same day according to MoneyGram. On the copy I have of the M.O. cashed at Albertsons the payee line (usually made out to me and my wife) was whited out and replaced with “Albertsons” written in.There’s also a drivers license number and what looks like an employee ID on the copy.
I have the printed history of money orders from this tenant deposited at my bank to compare to the fraudulent forged copy cashed at Albertsons .
I talked to the manager Randy at the store and he said they have video of the transaction and urged me to file a police report. I filed a report with LAPD Harbor Division and was told- among other things to “sue Albertsons”.
I’m going through the procedures recommended by Money Gram to recover my stolen $1000. The Albertsons store at that location is also a money gram vendor.
I have copies of everything and the tenant has the originals.
The thief has stolen my mail and forged the payee name and stolen my rent money.
Albertsons cashing this crudely forged money order was a key link in the chain of transfer of my $1000 to the criminal that stole it.
Whether this is an issue of incompetence or criminal complicity I don’t claim to know. Does Albertsons have any kind of insurance for an event of this type? Would it be possible to re-imburse me and subrogate Money Gram?
I’d appreciate some help with this matter Thank You Charles Lamont 310 748 XXXXX

I went to albertons at 7271 Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, Nv 89119. I purchased 4 boxes of Kcups which came with $1 off a box which could be used in the same purchase. I seen the cashier remove all 4 $1 coupons from the boxes thinking he would apply them. I looked at my receipt and he didn’t apply the coupons. He kept them!! I also earned 10 monopoly tickets (pertaining to other products i purchased) which he said he gave them to me. I didn’t have them with my receipt and they weren’t in my shopping bags. I returned to the store and he refused to give them to me. Basic assumption, he kept the 4 $1 coupons and my 10 monopoly tickets! I specifically purchased these products to take advantage of these benefits. The cashier ( aka manager) kept them and refused to return them. Very disappointing. It’s my first and last time ill be shopping there and ill be sure to spread the word about the terrible management service I received. Word of mouth is good and also damaging.

I dropped by the albertson’s in bellingham, wa this morning 6am.
I was going to purchase the orville popcorn and the deal was if you purchase the orville popcorn you’ll get one free plus two sunkist pops.
Well at checkout the cashier named “Dan” who claims he’s the manager said I can’t use a manufacturer coupon for the orville popcorn and plus the in ad coupon for the sunkist pop together. He said it’s against state law for me to use the two coupons together.
When is it against the law to use the correct coupons for the correct items?
That’s the last time I’m ever going to shop at Albertson’s, FRED MEYERS is alot better in selection, price and service period. Without the drama.

To Mr. Bob Butler COO,
I just watched your new commercial about your October store sale. I found the commercial to be disturbing and not reflective of your community efforts as stated in your mission statement. The commercial is of a little boy stating that his mother told him that there will not be enough room in the car because of all the groceries she wil buy becuase of the sale. He goes on to say something to the effect that something negatively will happen becuase of her comment to him. The commercial ends with hearing the overhead speaker in the store stating “clean up on ailes. I had to watch the commercial several times to even get what your sales ad was stating becuase I was so shocked at what the child was saying. The message I recieved was a little boy being vindictive and getting back at his mother becuase he did not get his way. I don’t think your ad people or your company thought this all the way through. If anyone in the board room thought this commercial was not appropriate when decision to air it, then they should have followed their gut instinct.
I am, and have been a RN for 35 years. I teach for a community college as adjunct faculty. I have never been compelled to write a letter to a company before this commercial. I have been an Albertsons shopper for the past 20 years and have enjoyed shopping there but feel I can no longer shop at Albertsons while the commercial continues to air portraying such a negative impact on parental decisions. Unfortunately, there is another commercial airing with the same negative message impacting on parental decision for the sake of the child. Did I miss the memo that it was okay to teach children to become deceiving, vindictive, and getting back at parents? You all really blew it on this one.
Thanks for reading this (I hope)
