I have been a ts customer since they came to our area, we don’t have many choices here. Every spring they have a big poultry promotion and sell a bunch of chicks and every year they run out of chicken starter a week or so after the sale starts. I grow 100 – 150 broilers a year and have to pray that I can find the feed we need. The business is poorly managed and not really a farm store. Now that I hear about the drag queen I need to find another option.
Rene Archambault says
Yes they are a major disappointment

I have been a customer with the TSC in Bennett, Colorado since it first opened. Mostly good things I could say about it until recently. A month ago I asked the Manager, Anthony, if he could get me Triple Crown Low Starch in the store for me. He said he would order me it that Friday and it should take about a week after that. I came back 3 weeks later and was told it was inadvertently sold. So Anthony said he would put another order in and just double it. I waited 3 weeks again and called to see if they received it. The employee on the phone said there were none in the store and I asked to leave a message for Anthony to call me back. He did not call me the next day so I called him. The employee said Anthony was in a meeting but interrupted the meeting to see what he had to say regarding my order. Once the employee came back on the phone, he said all the bags were sold. I am so frustrated and disappointed that Anthony did not even apologize to me personally and tried making it right. I am considering not to do any business with TSC again. Just to make this clear, I have spent an enormous amount of money at this store.

I found out today you sponsored a drag queen event in Texas for children. Me my two sons an 5 neighbor farmers have made an agreement that we will never buy anything from TSC in the future. This is perverted sickness.
Jon Jones says
I own a Ranch in Oklahoma and have been shopping at tractor supply for years as well and have Always loved their staff, product selection and prices
However with the recent direction with TS sponsoring “Family Friendly Drag Shows” I will not be shopping there anymore without a complete 180 reversal of support for this kind of Godless, abnormal, inappropriate activity
Amy says
Same here in SC. So disappointed . TS was our go to store for everything for our farm. Feed, fencing, everything. Sadly we cannot shop their anymore. They clearly do not know their “audience”.
Eva says
I just watched the video from this Drag Queen event showing lewd acts sponsored and promoted by Tractor Supply. If any company endorses this type of inappropriate behavior, then I encourage patrons to find other businesses that do not promote this type of societal deprivation.

I don’t know much about tractor supply because I only learned that it existed like two years ago but I do know how a manager is supposed to treat their employees.
My husband just started working at tractor supply two weeks ago and he works part time even though he ask for full-time and the only day he knows for sure he’s working every day is Monday even though before they hired him he said he cannot work Mondays in the morning because that day is when me and him are busiest and it would not work.
Now onto my problem the manager did not care she went ahead and put down everything that he asked her not to do and she did it anyways and anytime he expressed how that was not fair she made it worse well today me and my husband were both late for work and he comes in and she complains about it and he said sorry I told you Mondays were not gonna work because we’re both busy on Mondays. So she turned around and took him off of the schedule for the entire week I made it to working it only works four hours every Monday
Me and him cannot live off of that especially with having four children but I guess this is not the first time people have had trouble with this manager because I asked around and almost everyone that has previously worked for her or is still working for her can you tell me this is a normal occurrence for her she will make things harder on the employees for the heck of it and it’s downright rude
And out of every complaint she still stays. (Watonga, ok)

Im about an everyday shopper at tractor supply and today i had a simple return of a product that had malfunction. I called easton and asked if I could return it without a receipt since it had been misplaced and they said no problem I would just have to accept a gift card which I had no issues with since we shop at tractor alot. I was headed to Cambridge md to do some shopping so I asked if it was ok to take it there and they told me should be no problem since all tractor supply stores are same. I went in and the front cashier greeted us and after I explained reason of visit another employee who identified herself as Beth stated her store would not honor such request without receipts, then proceed without question to express herself about the Easton Tractor supply stating Easton can do it they are even capable of lowering baby chickens prices from $1 or more among other things so take it there, I stated that several weeks ago at this very Tractor we were offered chicks as low as 50 cents when holiday weekend was about to hit and her staff stated they did not have anyone to take care them and needed get rid of. That day i even purchased some myself and should be on my rewards account but did not even bring up as she quickly responded not true she is the manager and she would know and that did not happen. I did not want to continue this conversation with her as it was clear she was not going to help or resolve our issue, so I advised I was calling the Tractor Supply in Easton which I did and immediately said bring it to us and we will take care of you. I went back in to store to let Ms. Beth know Easton was taking care of it and noticed as I was walking out her and other two staff members as they watched me walk out making some kind comments and laughing. This was a very bad experience getting called a lier to not getting the help i needed and if it weren’t for the good staff at Easton I would have closed my accounts and never shop again at tractor supply. Tractor supply has a large poster about customer satisfaction and it was clear Cambridge md tractor supply failed. THANK YOU! Manager Frank” from Easton md 21601 Tractor Supply for knowing customer satisfaction motto and service.

Tractor Supply does not care about the customer experience.
I am a disabled VET who ordered a 700lb chicken coop. I also paid in addition to have someone come out to our house to assemble it. The first part would be the drop off of the coop, at which time I told them I would need it dropped off in the back yard, which has access on both sides of my house. The delivery guy showed up, unloaded the coop in our driveway blocking my access to get out of my garage, without letting anyone know. My wife is alerted by the dogs barking, and sees that this giant chicken coop has been dropped off in the driveway. The driver did not care. He told my wife he couldn’t move it and she needed to sign his paperwork, because it’s not his job to move it where we need it, that’s our job. I will never order another thing from Tractor Supply, I am medically retired with severe back trauma but had to move that 700lb chicken coop piece by piece, 3 hours later, to get it all moved.

I have decided to NEVER grace Tractor Supply with my presence ever again due to the following incident that occurred on 28 December 2021 between myself and a store associate.
I went to town that day to do some shopping and I figured that I would go to Tractor Supply (West Monroe, La.) to see if they had any “after Christmas” sales. When I got there and found myself a buggy that would roll straight, I placed my backpack in the buggy and proceeded into the store where I was “verbally accosted” by a female store associate with a very “manly” voice. I was informed (as I entered the store) I would have to leave my backpack at the register with her and it took a second for me to realize this lady was speaking to me, so I asked her to repeat what she said to me. Apparently this sales clerk did not appreciate her word being challenged by a “lowly peasant” such as myself and so she reached down lower into her soul where she was able to find a much deeper voice to pummel me with as she stated, “Leave your backpack at the register with me!” It took roughly about a split second for me to realize that she was basically accusing me of being a damn thief and as I felt my anger level rise, I informed the clerk that I would be damned if I was going to leave my “personal belongings” with her or any other person and I would just take my business elsewhere. As I started to leave the premises, I asked her if she treated female customers the same way when they come in the store with their “oversized” purses. I had to repeat my question a couple of times because she just kept looking at me like she did not want to answer the question. The clerk finally answered my question by saying, “Yes, but we don’t have ladies with big purses coming in to shop.” I almost started laughing because while she was attempting to pass this lie off as the truth there were two ladies standing directly in front of her at the register. The two ladies looked at her like she was crazy and glanced over at me with a look that can only be described as total disdain for the sales associate and her untruthful ways. Once again I informed my “very aggressive” verbal attacker that she did not have to worry with me as I would never shop with this company again.
Although the verbal assault by the sales associate was enough to really aggravate the hell out of me due to her basically insinuating that I was a damn thief (which I felt was truly stupid on her part), what I found to really be asinine about the whole situation is the fact that this sales associate is the same person who has assisted me or my mother on numerous occasions where my backpack was always dead center of the buggy or on my back and it has never been an issue.
Just so there is no mistake about me and my backpack:
There is no place that I go (especially shopping) that I do not have my backpack with me and depending on what I may be purchasing at the time will dictate if my backpack is on my back or in a buggy and always in plain sight. I have been in Tractor Supply on countless occasions and this has never been a problem before, but since the sales associate crossed the line with her mouth on 28 December 2021,
I WILL NO LONGER SHOP AT TRACTOR SUPPLY!!!

Poor poor service!!!!!!!!!!! I ordered because site says they have product and they would ship within 3 days. 10 days later nothing, customer service was extremely ridiculously rude and actually laughed at me. I will warn all to be very careful because you will not get your item when they say and then basically be told, all you can do is just wait now. this company is listed as having this product at three stores and I called each store who says they no longer carry and don’t know why its on line. I am in Tucson by the way. I also requested to cancel and they refused, told me I can wait and then I can return. They go through a 3rd party subcontractor, who apparently from what customer service says, don’t even reply back to this company to give an update or any info at all. I asked to speak to a supervisor which the rep put me on hold for 25min without coming back just to tell me the supervisor says “No”… I said the is all, just NO. she said yes the supervisor say no he don’t want to talk to you. I am floored, I am so shocked that I will make sure on Social Media that all know if this company and how they treat people! Horrible Horrible customer service, and if even the supervisor says, they don’t want to talk to the customer then there is seriously something wrong with the world and this company! Horrible. Never will I use this company again and I will tell everyone not to.

I had the same experience, they not only need to fire all of there customer service reps, they need to better train the new ones, unless this is just how they like to conduct service. I wrote to this link also and complained. It seems there is no way to file a complaint and with my experience can’t even get a manager to talk to they flat out refused. I won’t recommend this company to no one, and will be placing my thoughts on social media. I am sorry for your treatment, also thank you for your service, I was over seas 10 years with DOD/ Army contractor and my father and sister are Army….

I have shopped and still shop at our local Tractor supply store I really love the associates that work there. Our store is always short handed well I decided in stead of complaining about not getting help I would put in my application well I got an interview and was told they don’t hire people my age ( I’m only 60 ) with the energy of a 30 year old and old fashioned work ethics. I have worked retail for over 30 years. ? I still have 7 to 10 years before retiring and have a clean bill of health.

My boyfriend works for the local tractor supply in robstown Texas. My boss and I went there to get her 1/2 ton of feed we get every 2.5 weeks or so. My boyfriend was working this particular day we went this week (july 21, 2021) well he loaded my bosses feed in the truck. And I got got a phone call later saying that all three of us were being accused of stealing feed by both managers and they have no reason to be accusing us. Both my boss and I have been shopping there for a long time and we both spend a lot of money on feed and other things at tsc. Personally I have my own business and manage my boss place I wouldn’t have these two managers as managers. They are not helpful and on many occasional I’ve seen them just being plain lazy. Managers are suppose to lead by example… these two are not examples of what I would want working in my store. I’m very upset with this accusation from these two managers, I bust my butt for everything I have! I will also be writing a letter to the headquarters about this and I sure hope this situation is taken care of. I’m pretty sure there are better qualified people that would work a lot harder at their job then these two!

I was hit with the forklift by the store manager who wasn’t certified to be on it. I then called my District manager right after this happened and was told “stop acting like a high schooler with drama” I then asked to put in an incident report and was told I can’t do that and that they wouldn’t give me the proper paperwork to do so. The district manager Michelle Erickson not only comes into the store here and there but she will embarrass the employees on the floor yelling at them lecturing them ext. I was a team member there for 2 years and was promoted to assistant manager less than 2 months ago. The community I worked in the employees were great we would make work fun for one another. One of the jokes another employee and I had came to light by the 2 faced employee who then called hr and complained about the joke was very blindsiding. I then was pulled into the office a few days later and was fired for this joke. I can’t believe I was fired for such a little joke we always said to each-other, when I have gone to the distrct manager and the store manager with evidence of employees stealing, bullying and me being hit with the fork lift. This company does not care about the employees at all! They hire terrible people off the streets for management. And the district manager Michelle Erickson is a whole other story.
Sterling says
I would like to know if there is anyone in this company that cares about embezzlement. I have watched a store manager stick money in her pocket. While wondering if the manager was aware of the cashier doing this. I ask the cashier for a manager and turned out I was talking to the manager and it was her taking the money. So I really didn’t think it would make any difference in the end. Now fast forward about a year and now my daughter works for tractor supply. And really injoys her job until the same manager starts telling her that her drawer is short. So my daughter started paying very close to the money she is handling. The manager still says that the drawer is short so my daughter ask to be put on a clean drawer. The manager says that it’s not company policy and it is ok that there are multiple people who uses the same drawer and won’t give her a drawer that she can only run. Now on top of this she doesn’t allow the employee to count the drawer either. Needless to say instead of taking action to figure out where the money is going she allows it to go on. Long story short the manager pulls my daughter in to the office and wants her to sign a written letter saying she has taken money for 3 months. So I will make this as short as I can. WE OWN!!! 3 Coin shops and my daughter can make literally 3 times the money working in our stores but she is 18 and wants to prove herself. So I know that we have raised a good kid that would not take a penny from no one and that’s that!! I also would like to add after this incident i found out that 5 of my wife’s freinds have been fired/left this same store for the same reason they were accused of stealing then bullied until they left. All of which will be glad to get together and speak to a lawyer if needed. So I would like to know if there is anyone who cares and would simply look into this. Or is it going to require a lawyer and years of paper work to expose something that would be VERY simple to handle???????????????????

I used to shop at Central Tractor for lawn and garden supplies, but when their stores closed in the area I was living at the time, I began shopping at Tractor Supply and have been patronizing their stores in both Maryland and Pennsylvania for several years now.
I mention this background because after today (Sunday, April 26, 2020) I will NEVER shop at a TS store again. The manager (Emily, the name I was given) in the TS store at 3150 North Solomons Island RD, Huntingtown, Maryland, displayed such a deficit in customer relation skills and professionalism that I had to think back at least 15 years to recall being treated so dismissively and disrespectfully by an employee. At that time it was an employee working at Lusby Motor Company in Prince Frederick, Maryland.
After that unpleasant experience, I never returned to Lusby Motor Company again, and I never will. TS stores will now accompany Lusby Motor Company on the list of business establishments that I will NEVER patronize under any circumstance.
I include all TS stores because management represents to what degree and just how much the corporation values its customers. When a manager doesn’t seem to be concerned about suffering any consequences for mistreating a customer, that’s a sure sign the corporation is detached, unconcerned, and out of touch with its customer base.
I won’t patronize a business that doesn’t value my patronage or me as a customer.

I called the Boone, NC, store, as instructed but the website, to check on availability of 2 items in 2 calls. Neither time did anyone give me their name nor did I ask for it (Lesson learned: Never talk to anyone at TS wow getting their name – and keep a record of the conversation!) I was told both items were in stock and all I had to do was drive up, give them my credit card and they would load the heavy items for me. The Boone store is over 20 miles (ONE WAY). Great~! So I drove there. Not one employee knew what I was talking about and there was no garden wire. (I assume someone saw the low inventory and threw them to the side.) Not one of the employees were concerned but they’re condescendingly – politely so, of course! – well if I did not have the name of the person, they could not help me! No one knew anything about it and no one acted like they cared. TRACTOR SUPPLY DOES NOT WANT TO SERVE SENIOR CITIZENS. (I am sure your elderly owner would love to hear about that one!) It is obvious!
I WILL NEVER SHOP AT TRACTOR SUPPLY AGAIN. And that means I will be driving to cities 2 hours way in the future to shop. TS is a waste of time.

Hello I was wondering if Tractor Supply will be giving there employees a raise or bonus for working in the front line with this conoravirus that is going on. It’s a shame that TSC doesn’t offer veterans discount like Lowes, Home Depot, Marvins, Logans Roadhouse, Office Depot, NAPA, Auto Zone, Advance Auto Parts etc.
I got information that TSC was giving veterans 15% discount on Veterans Day (11Nov2019) so we go there and get a cartful of items and get up to the cashier only to find out that the 15% off for veterans WAS NOT ON VETERANS DAY as usual so we left (the cartful in the store)
and haven’t been back since.
I felt like it was a typical “bait and switch”- gouging veterans in the pocketbook. What does TSC
have against veterans? Why didn’t they honor veterans on veterans day with the “one day a year” discount” like the previous years? The TUPELO, MS store employees said that it was a corporate decision not to honor veterans on veterans day! May God help your stock fall for such a stupid decision…
I hope all veterans who served will realize that greedy companies like tsc don’t care about them
at all. Where you spend your dollar is like voting for or against corporations that is honorable or
dishonorable concerning veteran consumers. I pray this message will fall on ears that hear.
Will says
I am retired military and do not expect a discount from any store. I dont ask and if they see my ink on my arms and ask if I am a veteran I tell them yes but I dont need the discount. Stop excepting a discount or some special treatment just because you served. You make the rest of us look bad.

I worked for tractor supply back in 2009 (last clock out date 9/14/2009) in Pilesgrove, NJ, I was terminated, however i would like you to hear me out on the morning events…
I was called in the early morning and asked if I would work/cover for another employee that had a bad habit of calling out. I agreed and hurried to work. At the time I took allergy medication faithfully every morning I woke up. This morning I was woken up by a phone call from work and because I rushed to work I did not take my medication. After about an hour I went into a sneezing fit, realized I did not take my medication and because we were already short handed I could not even leave the register to get a tissue. I reached in my pocket because I knew soda was $1.31 so i always had change in my pocket. I set my money on the side counter with the soda I needed to buy to take my medication. I kept some of my medication in my vest pocket.
Did I know I was doing something wrong, absolutely, however it was life or death to me because my allergies were that severe, did i ever intend on not paying absolutely not! I called for help before I did this and no one was available. In my book I had to do what was best for my health.
This same day we had a store audit and I was approached by the aduitier at the register, she asked if I paid for that? and I explained to her exactly what I just typed and pointed my money out and explained that I could not wait for someone to ring me out because we were short staffed.
Later I was called into the back office and lectured about how company theft starts with the employees and I reached into my vest pocket and pulled out 3 receipts, 1 for a soda and candy bar from the day before, 1 for a $80 joint supplement I give my horse, and another 1 for aver $200 for horse fed and explained to her I was not a thief and had no intentions for not paying. I get how it looked to her, that is her job, HOWEVER my good intentions of 1) coming in on my day off to help the team and 2) I did not lie, I could of easily said ” I bought that from wawa” honestly she would of never knew, however I did the honest thing.
Fast forward to 2019 I applied to at Logan Township, NJ My application goes through I get hired and complete 2 days of training and show up for the first day of work only to be terminated. I call HR only to hear that it was the hiring managers fault for not calling after we discussed it. Not that maybe my application should of NEVER went through after I was fired if it was under a non rehire state. Which when I asked the district manager at the time if I could ever work at tractor supply again and his response was “I do not see why not”
My issues are 1) my honesty and health were not taken in to 1 ounce of concern and 2) I put in my 2 weeks notice and my current job and now I am out of a job because I cannot go back to my current job after my last day of employment with them.
Not that I think for 1 minute Tractor supply will even give a damn I have to find a new job, But only in hopes that they abide by their mission statement, I was honest and very into team work, yet over 10 years later I am still beinging punished for both of these.
Even after all this I still remained a loyal customer, but that is not going to matter.

As an employee I have officially quit and would never tell anyone to work here. The Princeton Texas store needs complete new management. The schedule is a disaster along with the store. Managers always have weekends off never other employees. They say they will work with college classes but really don’t. I have had to tell them several times what days I can’t work due to classes (these days were agreed upon before officially hired). They work with other employees but not me. You go from working 12 hours to almost the whole week the next. It’s ridiculous. I’m supposed to be cross trained in everything and I just got stuck on the register with a day and a half training on the register. Also there is supposed to be a new freight process that was supposed to be started. After every truck, freight is just left out in boxes all over the place for the cashier to put up between customers. And let’s not forget when you don’t get it done if your store is busy you get in trouble. I’ve had several customers say they will never come back to this store because there is never any help on the floor other than the cashier that can’t step away from the front of the store. The manager is unprofessional. The assistant manager even used Facebook messenger to talk to me when she even had my phone number. I can’t go to work one day without her ridiculing me.

This corporations does not support customer service. But what can you expect from a southern company. We are fortunate they are building another Fleet Farm close by. The people that work in the stores are nice, but they don’t have much to say about the company.

I am told Tractor Supply will no longer support any non profit charity who is raffling off firearms to raise money….due to one liberal complaint. Do you realize or have any understanding of who your customers are? If there is any validity to this..I assure you….your numbers will take a huge nose dive.
We are farmers, ranchers, estate owners who believe and will protect the 2nd amendment with our lives…literally. A store that we assumed caters to our business has turned against our way of life. Therefore, I assure you, I and many others will take our business elsewhere…effective immediately.
I am ashamed of your utter cowardliness. Or the fact you have hired liberal officers for employees. You should seriously take a step back and re-evaluate your stance or be prepared for the chaos that will ensue…namely your financial bottom line and possible store closures throughout the country.

My name is John Daniels. I am a currently employee of Tractor Supply store number 1202 located in Ellijay, Georgia. I am reaching out to the corporate office to voice my concerns about the way I am currently being treated at the local store. I have worked for Tractor Supply for over a year and I know that the behavior exhibited by our local store manager dose not fall in line with the values that I was first shown when I joined the Tractor Supply team. I also believe that it dose not line up with the over all company mission which is why I am coming straight to you. When I first started working for Tractor Supply, my manager’s name John Johnson. John was encouraging and I along with others, viewed him not only as a manager but also as a mentor. He led by example and he made all of us feel like we were valuable employees. It is my understanding that John was promoted to a larger store which is how the current manager came to join the Ellijay location. There has been a high employee turn over rate since he has started managing this location and when I announced my intention to join the Air Force, it seems he seeks out opportunities to ridicule me. He has ridiculed me to other employees and they have reported his comments back to me. Some of the things I’ve heard from other employees and I basically feel like I’m useless. He give me a hard time when I try my best at the store I feel like I’m being targeted and I don’t know if it’s either because I am the only male minority in the store or because he is resentful that I am leaving for the military in a few months. Now his general dislike toward me is starting to reflect in the behavior of some of my co-workers because I am being pressured to quit. I have been a dedicated employee of Tractor Supply since the day I started. I have worked numerous shifts that were unscheduled to help the store out. I have come in early and stayed late at the request of the shift supervisor only to have my hours cut the following week. I don’t feel like I deserve the treatment that I am getting from my current manager who is holding my job consistently over my head and trying to influence others to poorly of me. My reputation means a lot to me, especially going into the military, and I don’t feel that its too much to ask that my manager show me respect and not ridicule me to face or to others.
Sincerely
John Daniels

I currently work at the distribution center in Macon Georgia. I am getting the same treatment for the most part. I am the minority in the building. When I first started all the men would say how good I smelled. Then when they put in an area that was 100% all men and no woman dared to go from my first day trying to make me quit. I still pick from the area that most men want even work in and I am 125 lbs woman. The clerk Shaye and supervisors Samantha and Jacob are racist. Anyone with any common scenes should notice that Shaye is approving time sheets that don’t need to be approved because their employees on task and production numbers are sky high and the company pays extra for this. They all should be fired. Samantha tried to write me up for production standards being to low thinking I had been working here for 9 weeks. I had only been here 4 weeks and was ahead of my projected production numbers. Then she saids I have gap time when I fill out time sheets but none of the three of them ever put them in the system. They look out for their buddies or anyone that is the same ethnicity of them self. They play games I just told Jacob that I have a way the can’t move me around and keep jumping me around in different regions. I would just go to my home area instead of the lighter version ( smaller lighter product but same type of things as where I started ) since they have six people in my region and when started they had two and no one else could go because there wouldn’t be enough work . Since I moved to that region we have six people in the region and run out of work before first break and then instead of dropping the next wave they hold it and make us go to different regions. The girls that pick in rack where told to just go to the very next region of rack if they ran out of task in their start area. Well I would think it would be the same in my region just go to the heavier items of what you already picking it’s the same thing just heavier items . Rack and bag ( my region ) are not the same type picking . Completely different. It makes your production go down and then they say something to the people they don’t like and lie and cover for their buddies by adding time sheets for extra time that they lie about then their production is over 100% and their on standard is also 100% . I am told by a upper management member that your on standard can not be 100% . All the ones that had 100% or better were the ones that had 100% standard also. They put everyone else in isle clean but me I will still be working . They will also block me out my region and head set will tell me no more task and then when I go drop pallets off at shop lane I see five people scatter in my region when no one is to be there so they were assigned task by Shaye or Sam one so they just doing it to devious. Also they watched another team member move my things off my equipment because I went to talk to a manager after start up . My equipment was locked out to go faster than it should and I just got lucky my first day and rode it and have every day since . It started drawing attention and people started trying to beat me to my equipment by being there earlier than me. There are two more that do the same thing go faster than they should for people under p3 settings. Few days ago I seen my lift was on the wrong side of conveyor. Jacob had maintenance go and take the lock off the one I been riding everyday but none of the other two and people with orange vest are riding those two and should be at p3 speed also. When I told Jacob someone stold my lift and my stuff he asked what number like he didn’t know and I told him he told me who had it I should have figured it was his buddy Ali. He didn’t know that it fixed and he couldn’t go fast on it lol ! But still they watched him move my stuff when they clearly knew I was there Jacob told me all my stuff was on that other Jack so he knew. I’m tired of being treated differently. Anyone in the warehouse will tell you I am a hard worker. Also attendance.is being over looked . I had something said about ky attendance when a girl who started the same day as me has been out more than I have but nothing was said to her. I had two medical emergencies with my daughter she had to have surgery from a car accident it was life threatening both times. She just turned 18 so I can’t get any doctors to write me anything plus it was not local being in Savannah Ga where she was treated . So tractor supply I am letting you know that your code of ethics is SH*T and the reason why you have such a high turnover rate is your p*ss poor racist management team . ( exclude Otis from that statement) you have this big code of conduct and ethics and the eeoc does not agree with all the recordings that I have of management team being racist and unfair and not following your own rules and regulations. I have never seen a sop and I hope all the ones involved in all this incentive money stealing by them putting in extra time allotments ( managers and clerk ) get what they have coming. I don’t even care now with the horrible things I have seen online that u sponsor ( it’s ok to be different) but sexuality assaulting children with this company finding it is just sick. Well I hope y’all are gonna sponsor me to by the time this law suit is done. Word of advice when there is a majority of people of one ethnicity and a very small minority of the other all your minorities are being tortured and treated like pure sh*t ! It doesn’t matter what color just what ever the majority is . If it’s whites then the blacks are treated like crud and if it’s blacks the whites get treated like curd. You should really try to more selective with the hiring process so the numbers don’t get out of ratio. Having a truly diverse multicultural environment would illuminate situations of this kind, and no one would be treated unfairly due to the mixture of all different types of people with no vast majorities.

I have been trying to order a product Producers Pride Defenders chicken coop which was on sale for 999.00. When I went to purchase it online, it was on Clearance for 1299.99. Which made no since. So I called one of the TSC that I shop at, he was helpful. He said it was still on sale for 999.00 and online made no since, and he would call the main office. They told him there was a problem with the online system. They told him for me to check back online in a couple of days. I have guess what still on CLEARANCE for 1299.00, I don’t think that is Clearance from the sale price of 999.00. So I contacted customer service my email, they were so sweet and condescending telling me they were so excited that I was interested in their product but it was no longer on sale. I have emailed them two other times. No Answer. I told them it looked like you did not need my business. No Answer. So disappointed in a company I have used for years.

On August 15 I was driving thru El Paso, Tx on Hwy 10 from Phoenix, Az. to Del Rio, Tx. when I had a blowout. I was parked on the Hwy when I started to change the tire when I realized the lug wrench for the wheel was stripped and I could not remove the lug nuts. I started to call a tow truck to no avail either no answer or voice message. I looked at my watch and its 9:02 pm I could see the lights were still on at Tractor Supply so I called and to my suprise the phone was answered. I began my conversation by stating I know you are closed but I need to purchase a 4way lug wrench can you help me please. This person not only said yes when I arrived they had two lug wrenches waiting for me. I was like Wow, I returned to my task of changing the left front tire but due to the angle of the shoulder and the gravel and the jack as high as it would go, the new tire would not go on. Then my phone rings and its the employe from Tractor Supply wondering if I needed any help. Again Wow she said that she would be leaving around 9:30 pm and would stop by. and sure enough she came and she had a jack in her truck and she started to help. This person by the name Garnet was a life saver for those who don not know I-10 the spped limit is 80 mph so they do 90 and at night its all tractor trailers. Garnet may God bless you and Tractor Supply should be sp proud to have some one like you working for them.. Thank you so much

Today while shopping at your Gilroy, Ca. location I noticed the baby ducks (35-40) of them didn’t have any water. I told the employee and she replied they just keep knocking over there water…the sawdust was inside the water container and it was bone dry. I left the store and called the manager on my cell…He said he gave them water 30 minutes ago..I said I just left your store and they didn’t have a drop of water

Statesville North Carolina Tractor Supply is the most disorganized, unhelpful place i have ever worked. It’s stock is all over the place. The warehouse area looks like it hasn’t been cleaned since it opened. Every rule you go over in the training course is broken by every worker in the store. Literally going against every thing you learn. The place is infested with rats and mice. Half of the stuff on the shelves isn’t where it’s supposed to be. I only worked there for 3 days but the whole time i never met the manager or knew who was in charge. Was never helped or told what my job even was. What you sign up for you end up doing something completely different. The guy that was supposed to help me with my training didn’t know a bit more how to start it than i did that was in the first 5 minutes. Apparently you supposed to learn on you’re own by strewing something up first and then they might let you half know something. while you actually work and sweat to death everyone else moves at a snail’s pace. Thought i was signing up for a decent job but i was dead wrong about that. Worst place I’ve ever worked if you even want to call it that. Half the workers should be fired from what i went over in the training course. Terrible customer service too. Thanks!

I use your store in Robstown TX, the management can’t seem to track their orders to the store. I ran out of feed that I use for my horses, the sad part is I told them to order it two weeks prior to them running out. I have been told every day the truck is coming, I’m so tired of the games. After reading all the reviews online about your stores it seems obvious that you at corporate don’t have a handle on your business. Your store employees are great, think your management needs a change.

Plain and simple TSC do something about Greenfield Massachusetts store 1512 the Manager Robert is down right rude, MEAN, disrespectful man do something about him it says a lot about your upper management team to allow this man to operate the way he does, he is a liar and should be terminated.

Greenfield Massachusetts Store has a terrible Store Manager and it seems TSC wont do anything about it, Robert Ryzeck is RUDE careless, and most of all he has a his way or the Hi way attitude, He treats people with udder disrespect, TSC should be ashamed to have this man working in your company, I hope that the people who should be reading this take the time to digest this, cause its real. i’m scared to ask him a question he was so short with me and yelled at me also spoke in a manner as if I was stupid, also he speaks to the other employees in an aweful way, I feel bad for the employees who have to come into work every day and put up with him, he acts like a child and I would put him around 50 year of age please help, I will not shop while he is there, I wait till he isn’t there or I go else where. sad so sad, he runs off good people and good employees. shame

Hi I would like to say I like Tractor Supply as a company, I recently was in Greenfield Massachusetts, Store well i’m going to just say the Store manager is not a nice man I have personally seen him degrade the nice men and woman who work there, and as a customers point of view he is RUDE, AROGENT, and just an all around ill mannered man. I will only shop on the days he is not there. Tractor supply will probably loose my business, something needs to change I’m retired and know a lot of people in our community, all have had bad encounters with Robert.

I’ve shopped at the Lake Worth tractor Supply in Texas for nearly 10 years. Never have I been treated so rudely and with such disrespect as I was this morning. Came to buy 10 t posts. The man outside(his name was Rob) did the following:
1. Refused to open the gate to give the truck clearance , then acted put out he had to walk to load 10 posts.
2. Talked back and argued with my friend who drove me there- it was uncalled for and got heated because he didn’t have the gumption to apologize.
3. Asked to see my receipt- I’ve Never been asked to produce a receipt I just came from inside- he kept asking what we wanted at least 3 times.
Customer service is so missed in the 21st century. If you’re going to have someone load things, they should have a courteous disposition. I wanted to speak to the manager about him, but after being left on hold over the phone for 10 minutes!… I decided perhaps corporate needed to know what is going on at your Lake Worth location.
Thank you

I live in Palatka, Fl I put in an application for the Palatka store. I went into the store which I shop there in a regular basis. I enquired about my application with the manager Zeb, and his professional response was I cant handle you. As an employee/ boss setting I would have shown him upmost respect. Now that I feel like that was being discriminated against in a business conversation the respect is not there at all. One unhappy job applicant.

I shop at your Yankton, SD store and all I can say is I’m done shopping there. I am so sick of going in there just to have to listen to employees badmouth each other, swear, complain, stand around on their phones, lean on the counter eating or playing on their phones, etc. The store is filthy! The way they talk is like listening to the proverbial poor white trash with all the slang and “I’m going to scream” or just today, “I’m going to rip someones f#*king head off”
Every time I go in there theres a different Asst Manager. I really liked the lady that just left but It’s no wonder the turnover rate in there is off the charts. Good, professional employees refuse to work there.
I’ll be going to the Vermillion store from here on out.

I shop at the Toccoa, Ga. Tractor Supply. I have a question. WHY DOESN’T TRACTOR SUPPLY carry ANY pet toys MADE IN AMERICA???? I REFUSE to purchase ANYTHING made in China or other foreign countries! It is a proven fact that food, treats and toys made in China make our pet sick and have caused many to die a painful death. Tractor Supply is an American Owned company and SHOULD endeavor to carry more products that are American made than foreign products! Please, please, please do something to promote and carry more AMERICAN MADE products. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you, as an American Company, do more for other American companies. American made products should be first and foremost in America.
Please display American Pride and give your customers more American Made selection.
Again, thank you.

I now have a 2nd day of incident at the store today prior to 11:20am (store receipt time) with new manager CJ coming outside to fill this time 3 propane tanks. He would not fill them. I told him I did not want him to do my tanks and for him to get somebody else outside to do. (He is after all the manager). He would not allow anyone else outside, said I would be dealing with him yet he would not fill my tanks unless I shook his hand. I told him I would not shake his hand and to either get somebody else to fill the tanks or for him to fill the tanks. The damage was already done on sunday. He once again refused to fill the tanks unless I shook his hand. I needed my tanks filled after all because I use propane for my heat, cooking and hot water. So I shook hands only to get my tanks filled. I felt like I shook hands with the devil so I could stay warm. I felt like I shook hands with a guy who raped my daughter so I could stay warm. I demand immediate termination of employee CJ for his actions of today and for yesterday which was the basis for this complaint. I will be entering this info on the TSC website. I have been buying propane from TS now for 3 winters on a weekly cash payment basis to stay warm.
dave bowman says
I was at the pickerington ohio store to get my typical weekly propane refill when a “NEW” employee named CJ said that ONE OF MY 2 tanks was out of date. I asked for a supervisor/manager to dispute. He said he was the manager yet I knew who the manager was. He was not there. I proved him wrong on the date of the tank and then he refused to fill either tank. He asked for apology which I refused. He was wrong, not me, said he had a right to refused service to anyone yet I bought another item in the store in his presence, and kept the receipt. In my strong opinion, CJ needs to be immediately terminated. This will be a ongoing dispute until resolved up to and including legal action. I am calling out tractor supply to resolve this matter, namely to terminate CJ.

I used a debit card on 11/26/2018 to buy a present for my husband from Tractor Supply. This is the only purchase with this debit card in six months. Well today my bank fraud dept called and asked if I had made purchases at various stores today on 12/12/2018. I had not and the only place I used this card was at Tractor Supply Online. So somebody at Tractor Supply Online has stolen my information/debit card and illegally used it to buy stuff. Be careful using this online site.

Let me add my complaint to the long list I just read. We shop at the TSC in Culpeper, Va. they are always out of Purina Chicken feed. We asked once and they said they are ordering double as it is. It’s now winter and we were going to buy wood pellets. When we went around the store to pick up the pellets, the bags were open and the ones that weren’t open, had water in them. We just got our money back, but then had to go back inside to get a refund. The only cashier was on a register that wouldn’t accept couples and the credit card machine didn’t work. She called the manager to ask how to handle it, got a respond by no help. Line was backing up, but no help. Very nice cashier. The only person on the floor that is helpful is Tomas. He knows where everything is and if we can’t find it, he will go looking. Of course, he isn’t always there.

Dear sirs,
I’m a disabled veteran of desert Storm. I’ve been going to your store in Eufaula, Al. Recently you’ve hired an Alison Jones whom I’ve been harassed by. I’ve been coming to this store spending my money without any trouble until she was hired. The manager Eleana don’t know her last name, was informed by me that I don’t come into your great store to be harassed. Even though I informed the manager when I found out they hired her, even though they knew she was harassing they hired her. She bullied one of her co working to make a false statement about me. Alison Jones told the co oker he better then slammed her hand down on the counter. He didn’t look like he wanted too. Me. Jones didn’t realize I was standing behind her and witnessed it. Even though you’ve hired this female with mental issues,at no time have tried to speak to Alison Jones. I also requested that Alison Jones not to check me out at no time because on another occasion again shopping at you store I was hacked. Around ,10 minutes leaving the your store. Is this the way you treat your customers. What happened to a customer’s all’s right. NOW BECASUSE OF ALISON JONES DISHONEST FALSE STATEMENTS IM NO LONGER ALLOWED IN YOUR STORE. If look at the cameras you will I’ve had no communication with this female who seems to have mental issues. Sir, I did not serve my country to be treated in such a disrespectful. I expect all parties to be involved to no longer be employed with tractor supply. If you cannot comply then I’ll have to take this farther. I’d rather not have to do this. I am not going to be harassed, bullied, lied nor slandered. I love my country so I defended it for what to be DISRESPECTED BY YOUR EMPLOYEE. I’d appreciate greatfully you taken care of this unhonorable shame you’ve allowed your employees to put on your loyal customers. Thank you! I’m looking forward to your reply

The tractor supply store in Cave Creek, AZ is hosting adoption events from a rescue called Puppy Luv Animal Rescue. They have PARVO and DISTEMPER and are exposing all the customers, customers animals to both viruses. The store manager Chris has been told about this and doesn’t seem to care. There have been several known adopters who have lost their puppies to parvo, but the store still continues to let them in. Several people called the store to find out about adoption events and were told that Puppy Luv wasn’t allowed back in, but yet…………. Puppy Luv Animal Rescue posted pictures of their adoption event yesterday in the TSC. They are spreading the virus to everyone who comes in to shop.

I called customer service as per usual the store manager at Tractor Supply located in Brooksville FL has an unprofessional attitude towards me every time. I sell Raw Local Honey’s ? and this Manager of this store is Catty, Belligerent, and goes out of her way to be meanspirited to me.
I have called Customer Service corporate and the nastiness from this Manager subsided for 3 to 4 weeks and she went right back to her Nasty ways.
I have been asked by several Customers from this store to come to the 12 May 2018 Farmers Market and bring Tupelo Honey which many because they are Diabetics and can ONLY have/use this particular Honey because of it’s Low Glucose Levels….. I am the ONLY Honey Vendor in a 100 mile radius that carries this particular Honey…
Not only do I get punishment meted out to me for whatever reason, Tractor Supply Customers suffer the MOST because I have Specialty Honey’s Tractor Supply Customers have requested, and need for thier Special needs in thier diets….
Cody today was exceptionally wonderful in taking notes and showed sincere concern for this distasteful behavior of this Store Manager….
She ran off several great employees last year and many customers left as well to go to Rural King in Spring Hill FL….
Many team members of this store have asked me in the past why this Manager hassles me?
My answer is…. I don’t know.
The environment She has for employees and particularly is TOXIC…..
Something has to be done with this Manager…!!
John the Asst Store Manager is always Friendly to outside Vendor’s and Store Employees and always with his Tractor Supply Customers….

If you guys think that you’re a retail experience was bad… My fiancé just quit because the managers were playing favorites and taking his days and hours. He went from four days a week… Took two days a week… To one day. They tried the bulls**t excuse of payroll… When in fact they were just shifting his hours to other employees. Instead of being honest about it ( they don’t like his personality ) they decided instead to cut his hours and lie. Leaving him with no choice but to quit because the drive-in was a pretty big portion of the check since he was only working one day. And the funny part is the bimbo with the boobs and other lazy staff were given his hours. Because they were more likable for the pervert and “normal “ managers. The messed up part was these people don’t do their job we’re given the hours of somebody who is dedicated to the job and would’ve done anything asked of him and did. I can see by the number of negative feedback that I’m not the only one that has a problem with the Tractor Supply. You would think the corporate officers would read these and take action. I deal with the tractor supply in Fredericksburg Texas and spend between seven and 15,000 a year. They recently changed managers and the new one refuses to honor my high-volume livestock feed Discount. I will no longer do business with Tractor Supply because of The local manager refusing to honor or even discuss a deal that has been in effect for 10 years. When I tried to explain why the discount was in place she just kept telling me it she was obeying corporate policy. Obviously this is not a corporate policy since I have been given that discount for 10 years. They need to send Fredericksburg manager back to customer relations class.

So hubby goes back in to pay for HER mistakes, and she refuses to give him the discount he would have received if she had done her job right to begin with! Ughhhh!!! I would like to begin by saying that Tractor Supply is my favorite store and the managers at the 2 that I frequent are wonderful however my complaint is not about the store itself but the fact that 2 stores are out of the horse feed that I have been purchasing and this is not the first time that I have not been able to purchase it.
The feed is Nutrena Safe Choice Original. This is a very popular feed and it seems to not be stocked as healthy as it should be. It is the only Nutrena feed not in stock.
I wish to continue to purchase my feed at TSC however, if I cannot purchase it when needed I will have to purchase from another supplier.
My stores are in Youngsville, and Henderson north carolina

I have been a customer at Tractor Supply in Lockhart Texas since this store opened.
I have gotten to know all the employees and some are extremely good and others are complete idiots.
The current Manager Keith is confused about how to respect and treat his employees, l have heard him say things to the employees and a minute later change it while getting angry at the employees for not being able to perform two tasks at one time openly in front of customers?
There are 3 employees l look for in this store that are mature enough and professional employees that can help with anything we need, Brittney, Sadie, and Linda, l see one or all of these girls at the store almost everyday.
Once Brittney was so sick with a double ear infection and was bleeding out her ears and working in this condition, while waiting for the new Manager to start.
Brittney has been performing as a Team Leader a Assistant Manager for months and as the Store Manager until that position was filled as well.
Brittney had very few days off during this time and Sadie and Linda also put in the extra time when asked to work.
I overheard Keith the manager ask Sadie to come in on her day off at 10 am and Sadie clarified that 10 am was the time with Keith. The next day l was in the store picking up Feed and l heard Keith getting angry at Sadie for not coming in at 9 am and when Sadie tried to tell Keith the time Keith told her to come in was 10am, but Keith refuses to accept that. Later Keith was arguing with Sadie about working last Sunday, Keith said Sadie was off and Sadie said she had worked. Finally Keith got angry and checked, he discovered Sadie was right but never said anything to Sadie.
I could go on and on about the employee problems at TSC but l do not have time. The ones that hide because they are lazy or refuse to do what they are told, the manager never gets onto those employees.
I asked for Brittney who normally takes care of my orders and was told Brittney was sick with the flu and her doctor would not let her come to work and that the manager Keith had written Brittney up?????
What is wrong with the manager at this store ?
Lockhart Texas is a small rural community and we patronize TSC because of Brittney, Sadie and Linda, if they get run off by a manager with personal issues then TSC will loose a lot of business because the other employees including the manager cannot take care of customers efficiently as Brittney, Sadie, and Linda
Thank you
Lesley

Let’s talk about that feed truck that never seems to deliver!!! I have had to switch feed brands to Co-op feeds (yes, they can actually keep feed stocked) because you can’t keep feed on the shelves. Your employees always tell me that the feed my animals need will be “on the next truck.” It does’t make it look like everyone rushes in to buy feed from you. It makes you look like you can’t meet demand. You are, however, pretty good at selling dog leashes and flashlights. I just think it’s sad that TSC can’t get their crap together and be the store that they once were. At this point, you are at the bottom of the food chain. In another few years, I’ll be surprised if you’re not bankrupt because you cannot survive on dog leash sales alone.

I would like to make a few suggestions: 1st of all your inventory listed should be checked and updated more to ensure what it says you have is currently what you physically have on the floor. 2nd when you have a TS warranty that it should be able to be easily accessed by any of the following: name, phone #, transaction #,warranty #, etc. 3rd Ist contact employees…usually cashiers or front end people should have a smile on their face and should not be so rude. The cashier (a girl- didn’t get her name unfortunately) at store #1161 Ithaca, NY was very rude to us, to the gentleman (Doug) that helped us as well as all the customers she checked out- not once did she smile or say have a good day or thank them for shopping at TC- we were able to observe all this first hand as she was the first one that approached us unpleasantly as we entered the store then as we were waiting for Doug to come to assist we were standing at the front of the store and able to observe all this. We were in the store around 1:45 ish and never left until about 3:15pm. Now on a good note we would love to recognize one of your employees that went above and beyond his call of duty to assist us. He never once got frusterated or gave up on us. He called many of your stores as well as many of your help desk numbers etc. He just was plain out exceptional and deserves a lot of recognition! He went above and beyond trying to help us get our chainsaw replaced for well over an hour. His name is Doug Mesick. Please keep this employee and THANK him soooo much and please get more like him!!! He is awesome!
Best dedicated TS customers,

Rural King!
I have been using TSC as my first stop for everything (Farm) for over 20 years. Southern States CO-OP was second along with Agri-Supply, then a few other non- franchised (Family) feed and supply’s were among the last places I would seek agricultural supplies or equipment. I recently discovered Rural King in Front Royal VA, WOW! Their pricing KILLS TSC (yes I know TSC price matches), but why should I have to go through all of the proof and paperwork to get cheaper fencing, feed, equipment and heard management supplies. TSC’s model is based on their pet food (Dog and Cat) sales which is their mainstay from what I have observed. maybe they should just stick to that. I will drive 2 hours to Rural King for my big orders and purchases and use my local TSC like a 7-11 or Circle K for their emergency convenience (when I want to pay more).

Went to the TSC website to browse for an unvented propane heater. First I got a pop-up wanting me to allow or block the site from knowing my location. I blocked it. Then I got a pop-up that completely prevented me from using the site unless I first entered a specific zip code.
I hate to break it to you TSC but you don’t need my zip code just for me to search for what products your company offers. That comes later, usually not until the checkout process. Everybody else gets this concept, even Amazon and Walmart and even Ace Hardware and Harbor Freight.
I guess bad service is not limited to in-store shopping. Oh well. It’s your loss. I’ll just take my money elsewhere.

Went to get my fork lift tank propane tank filled. New policy they tell me is I have to pay first, then they will credit me for any difference if it did not hold full amount. How stupid! We have had too many walk offs they tell me. Sounds like this is an employee problem and should be addressed that way. Next will you will want me to pay to enter the store and you will refund me for what I did not buy???
Southern States here I come.

Worst thing I ever did was sign up for your Neighbor’s Club. Has never worked in the more than a year. Sent 2 emails and 2 phone calls at beginning. Gave up and just shopped store – then in July this year a new cashier asked if I was a member. Told her the story and she said why not try again. So I did. Frustration, stress, and MAJOR disappointment were my reward. Still does not work after several emails over the last two weeks. Got an email said to call and they would walk me through getting profile which they claimed was not finished. I looked and all required info is there. So I tried calling. 4 times! All you get is a menu that says they have a heavy call load and cuts you off after two repetitions with no in line waiting option for customer. Who is going to call them all day long hoping to ring through? NO ME. Have they ever tried calling their own business? So I emailed them about the menu on the phone. Answer, you have to enter 4 for sales and then a 9 to speak to representative. I was not purchasing an item. It did not say Purchase Problem or Neighbor’s Club issue. I will never enter any TSC Store again. I can buy my products elsewhere. Too bad because I usually saw things I bought seasonal, clothes, garden accessories, shoes, gloves, tools etc. But, If I don’t see them I won’t know about them. THIS WAS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE AND NOT WORTH THE FRUSTRATION, STRESS, AND ESCPECIALLY THE DISAPPOINTMENT OF IT NEVER WORKING. THAT WAS MY REWARD FOR JOINING IT. WORST COMPANY SERVICE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED.

Was surprised to get a call from TSC about my Neighbor’s Club problem on Tuesday.. By Thursday of the same week, I had a new account set up in my name and my purchases had been transferred over to the new account. Guess what? They show up. 07/29/17 Went into store and asked about propane. Young man asked blond headed lady behind what to do. She told him to call it out on the intercom, which he did. He instructed me go to wait at the propane area. Stood out in propane area for 20 minutes waiting, no one came. I walked back in went straight to blond headed lady. Explained to her I have waiting and no one showed up. She stated What? I explained that I had been waiting for over 20 minutes. She asked if she was the one that talked to me. I responded, no but you instructed that young man to page for me. She stated someone will be with you in a minute. So back out I went for another20 minutes and still no one. The same lady came outside and started putting papers on the cattle feeders. Then she went back in the store, without addressing me so I left. Poor customer service. This was the Hillview, KY store.

Dear Sirs,
My Mother visited your store in Henderson North Carolina. One of you employees was so rude and very unhelpful. My Mother says the the employee in fact, dismissed her. She was told that the lady was the night Manager. I think you better send Under Cover Boss over there.
The woman just went on sweeping the floor and STOCKING the shelves. You also might want to train the employees that stocking the shelves is not as important than customers buying items and emptying the shelves.
And I left the best for last. My Mom could no longer wait for her to sweep up 3 entire isles and then rearrange the shelves, she stepped up on a ladder to get the dog crate down and that that is when the lady ran over, grabbed my Mothers arm and pulled me off the ladder.
There is much more that happened, however, I hope you have cameras in the store so you can watch it for yourself!!!
Mom went to the Henderson police department following the incident at 4:30 pm. June 29, 2017
Something needs to be done.

Tractor Supply Company is the largest operator of
rural lifestyle retail stores in the United States.
The company was founded in 1938 with annual
revenues now of approximately $6.8 billion.
And yet in spite of the conservative image appealing
to the “Middle America rural patrons” Tractor Supply
doesn’t choose to honor American veterans with a 7
to 10 % discount on Tractor Supply purchases.
I live in a rural town where the business community
honors their veterans with 7-10% discounts on
purchases – with no gimmicks over the discount –
just a flat percentage discount. Imagine my quiet
disappointment when I went in this morning and
bought some rural items & asked at the registrar
if TSC offers a discount to veterans (or disabled
veterans – myself being one) … and she replied
“No (and I wish they did)!”.
With quiet disappointment — so do I.
I wonder how many vets work for or “rural” vets
patron TSC??
Sincerely Joseph Boggs — one of the rural
population TSC loves to market too.
OK, now I’m going to be cynical … TSC will
probably respond with some corporate
lame excuse … afterall, it’s the profit monies
they want; TSC is not in the business of
sincere “gratitude” – they’ll show their one
time gratitude and appreciation on “Veterans
Day”… Nov 11th. hahahahahaha
Sue says
Do they even offer discounts on Veteran’s Day to vets? Probably not! I was told at the local store that it would not be “fair” to offer only veterans discounts. Well, VETERANS are the ONLY ones who put their life on the line to keep this country free…and thereby, keep the businesses such as Tractor Supply Company in business and speaking English. Want to learn Farsi, anyone? Perhaps, TSC, it is time to honor or veterans! VETERANS: If they do not respond favorably to veterans, we can always take our business down the road to the local feed store and other veteran-honoring businesses!

I want to leave a positive experience I just had. At first I thought I would be typing a negative one to you, but you have an employee who actually put a customer before herself. Connie, at the Mccowen St,Snyder, TX TSC is getting our trailer from another town on her own to make sure we get what we were promised. It seems the rainchecks for the trailers on sale were delayed. We are really needing this trailer and the company stated it would be almost another week before they deliver them. Connie has decided that a satisfied customer is more important to her than the customer going elsewhere and making a large purchase, so she is going to pick up the trailer herself and have it here tonight. Her manager didn’t even call us. she took care of it all herself. I surely hope TSC compensates her with a bonus or at least pay her for her time and gas. That to me is true customer service and she deserves to be recognized as one of your best employees! Thanks so much for hiring a caring person. She is the only one who took charge of the situation and I believe she should be made the manager!

Will NEVER shop at tractor supply and it will be very hard since it USED to be one of my favorite stored in Lancaster, Ohio east main st. For discrimination, and for being falsely accused!!!!!! After being humility and embarrassingly getting the cops called on my boyfriend and I .The worker Lane asked my boyfriend to get the f out of the store. My boyfriend asked what for and the worker said you know why don’t play stupid. He said we were just at the tractor supply in carroll ohio trying to shoplift. And my boyfriend replied no we just came from new Lexington ohio. So the worker said to my boyfriend you fit the profile of a thief so it has to be you. My boyfriend said I’m not leaving you have the wrong person so call the cops. Cops come me still trying to wrap my head on what’s going on people starring at us like we have did something wrong. …cops asked us for i.d. and back up comes…we still have to leave the store even though we did no wrong, was the wrong people the cops said it was the law because we were asked to leave the store and can be thrown out for no reason.so might as well pursue legal action. What a joke of customer service. Then we get home and call the carroll store and my boyfriend started talking to the employee about the situation and the employee hangs up on my boyfriend. So he calls back and the employee hangs up on him again. So try calling one more time and they don’t answer. So tomorrow we will be getting a hold of corporate and the managers. And our lawyer. Just a ridiculous situation and the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to us.

I purchased a Gun Safe and a few days later got a flyer from Tractor Supply seen the same safe on sale for 200 dollars less. I called customer service they told me they wouldn’t honor the difference. I think its a rip off that stores wont honor the difference if you purchased the item within a week of the sale. I mean if I knew it would be on sale later I would have waited. So tell me why is the company putting profits over paying customers…Part of me thinks I should just cancel my order and go somewhere else!

I am very upset with the way one team lead conducts herself at the whitehall road mi tractor supply store, went there for years but just lately this woman bye the name of Tammy Eccleston Noyes acts like she owns the place, and she gives bad advice for people about what to feed their dog for a treat, my dog almost choked on the things i bought there under her advice, also dont care for the way she treats people, she is snobbish and she just lately used a poor woman to get her dog, just because it was a boxer pup she told this woman that if she changed her mind she can get the dog back and within a few days this happened and this so called team leader told her no, is this the sort of person that should run a store when she is crooked and so cold to people, my party of friends will never set foot in that store again, shame bc we use to love going there, but this tammy person is too pushy and has an attitude and not sure what the girls name that was with her but she and this tammy are up to no good, I am using a friends computer bc she is down in bed over a situation this tammy lady put her in, her health is so bad over this pup , her son didnt want to sell the pup and only said for a trial thing which my friend was told but now this tammy lady almost stole the pup and now making her ill over this, this is no person i and my friends and family do not care to have serve us any longer,

Overheard 4 or 5 customers talking as they walked out of store during this scene saying they have had issues and problems with this store manager before also and will not patronize store any longer. and as I read other Emails on this site seems as tho TSC has many similar issues at many other outlets
Is this the management style and behavior that TSC condones trains or and supports ????????

I had to resort to social media and emailing because not one person has contacted me in regards to an incident that took place in your Oakdale, CA store. My children and I were in the store shopping on 7-7-16. We were in the cat food isle and we heard a man laughing as if he was making fun of someone. That is when we heard another man (customer) scream, “Are you joking right now, you just said you wished I had died!!” I stepped out of the isle to see if I needed to protect my young children. A man with grey hair rushed around the customer service desk and proceeded to try to bump chests with a very irritated customer. I later found out that he is the manager of this location! The manager did not handle this situation with a very angry customer well at all. He appeared to try to bait the customer into hitting him. The customer was very angry and was screaming about the manager saying obscene things about his deceased platoon members and how the manager was committing a crime by claiming to be in the military. If it were not for two very brave female employees who stepped up and had to separate the two someone really would have got hurt. A phone was slapped out of the managers hand and flew a good 20 – 25 feet away and really could have hurt someone. The employees did a better job escorting the angry customer out then this “manager”. The manager followed the employees and the customer and still tried fighting with him and never once just shut up. He seemed to be out of control. At this point, I took my children out of the cart and left a cart full of items and attempted to leave the store. The store manager had ripped off his red vest and was in the parking lot still trying to get this customer to hit him!
When this took place I called customer service and it is obvious that TSC does not mind that their manager gets into physical fights in the middle of their store with customers. I have informed all of my family, neighbors and friends about this incident. I called from the parking lot as I sat in horror watching a grown man try to fight someone probably 30 years his junior! Because of having someone like this run this store, you have lost many valuable customers. The store had multiple customers that fled without making any purchases. If I was one of those poor employees I would feel very ashamed to claim this store. Kmart and Target in Riverbank now get our business. I’m urging other customers to complain as well. Most think that your store is all about the all mighty dollar instead of actually providing customer service, and it is sad to say but I’m starting to think this is true. My father in law has informed me that this manager is still there. As a business owner I’m simply appalled. The wrong customer will be baited and hurt by this loose cannon of a manager and who will be on the hook? This is my last attempt to point out what occurred in your store, during business hours, with your employees
OBVIOUSLY NOT EVEN A KID FRIENDLY STORE WITH THIS MANAGER RUNNING THE SHOW!

Why is it that a lot of major retailers (Lowe’s, Home Depot, restaurants, even a lot of small business, plus a whole lot more big company’s ) give a 10% discount on all purchases to veterans, yet Tractor supply does not? I called customer service on Tuesday and spoke to a customer service rep about a roto tiler I purchased at the end of season BUT I only have used it ONCE (last spring). I tried to get it to run in the fall (last year) with out being able to have success. I talked to my local store (Tiffin, Ohio) manager. He told me to take the unit to a small engine repair shop (and I did) in March to be ready for the spring planting (garden). I got the unit back in the first week of April and tried to get the unit to start on Monday and Tuesday w/o success. Needless to say I am rather unset not only because of the unit BUT the customer rep TOLD ME she would call me back on Wednesday around 2:30 pm BUT no call. I have purchased 2 lawn mowers and I love them, so I thought the same would hold true for a tiller. NOT SO! I had a choice as to where I could have made a purchase (the local Lowes and Rural King) but chose to stay with a company whom I believed it. However, after this problem with the tiller, I made a purchase at Lowes for a snow blower and may have to do the same for future purchases. I really like the local store (Tiffin, Ohio) and the people who work there. It would be a shame to lose a good customer. You can contact me by phone or email. Thank you, Bill Williams

I have read of the comments on this site. It’ good to post here, but one should also file a BBB complaint in Tennessee like I did.
I asked a single woman in the local Montana TSC store, whom I was lead to believe was free for the taking, for a date. Found out she had a boyfriend. End of the chase. But after that the other female employees began acting scared of me, some even hiding when I was in the store.
I asked the woman that I had ask for a date what the problem was. She yelled at me in front of other customers “These is nothing between us, there never was anything, and there never will be anything between us”. Old news, so why bring it up when that was not what my question was about.
She even has a bodyguard stand by her whenever I am in the store.
TSC Corporate will do nothing about this. They even told her to have her bodyguard near her when I am in the store.
This has created a slanderous, defamatory and hostile customer environment for me and I no longer go to that store.
Thank you TSC for treating your customers the way you do!

Wanted to commend one of your employees at the Millbrook, Alabama store. Derek, one of the sale people, went out in a huge down pour, to help my 16 yr old daughter and her boyfriend safely load 100 lbs of goat feed into the bed of her boyfriends truck. Like I said, it was pouring rain, and he took it upon himself to carry out the bags, and upon seeing they had to go into the bed of the truck, he used several large trash bags to completely seal in the bags so they would not get wet. I do not normally comment on someone doing their job, as I believe you should do your job to the best of your ability. But for someone to go out of their way, especially in such bad weather conditions definitely need commending. So thank you Derek.

Refusing to unload him and causing a huge scene then said to.the passenger did u go into the store she said yez and David told her u came out the back which she didn’t I watched her walk put the front. I video taped and voice recorded I believe ur manger was unprofessional and needs fired or demoted. I will never come to this store again and I will have everyone I know boycot this store until something is done

Your Tractor Supple Store in Stephenville, TX leaves a lot to be desired. We spend over a $1000.00 a month on animal feed and other supplies. For the past 4 weeks, we have been trying to purchase GOAT DEWORMER ( liquid), every time they said they will have on a certain date, it’s never there. It hasn’t been sold out it’s just NEVER THERE. The employees shrug their shoulders and tell me to drive 45 mins ( one way) to Granbury TX. This is bunch of bull crap. I DEMAND something be done and I also DEMAND that your corporate office gets in touch with me. I am furious and if I am not satisfied I will spread the word and go somewhere else.
It’s pretty sad to run a corporation this way. You shuold be ASHAMED.

I am so sick of this TSC Store here in Franklin. I raise and sell Italian Mastiffs, I have 17 as well I am buidling a boarding kennel. Everytime I need dog food they are either scraping the bottom of the pallet or out. They tell me “rain check it” so I have and guess what never happens? I never get the call or the product. This has been going on for almost a year now, so Monday I go in and not a damn 50# bag of dog food I buy in the store. “Oh but the feed truck will be in Wednesday.” Thursday I call “Oh sorry it didn’t come in, MAYBE it will come Saturday”. Never mind the fact that I put in a rain check two weeks ago for food but there is none. Same old excuse – we have a new manager and we are fixing things – hell I’ve been told that more times than I can count in the last 6 months. I spend about $500 – $600 a month, I would spend more but they never have anything in this store and you would think they could do better!!! I drove all the way to Waynseville and picked up the dog food. So how can a store 40mi. away ALWAYS have stock? Useless piece of schit!!!

I arrived tsc in gray Louisiana at 530pm . need 200# sweet12 horse feed, 100# chicken feed pellets, 4 wormers for horses. empty pallet in feed section inquired if they had any in back. they checked and had a pallet in the back. 1 woman calls manager about problem he said if I would wait 30 minutes he could come and help me. whats wrong with the people working there. all I needed was 4bags. I would have got it myself. the aisles there were barely open enough for a cart. only seen women there and they can’t fill shelves with supplies. I’ve spent plenty money in the past there but i’ll have to shop elsewhere. something needs to be done there, need people that can work for there pay instead of paying people to just be there. when supplies come in who ordered the overstock . need a 2 man night shift to put supplies out and open lanes for customers to shop in a clean store. a pushbroom in the hand of a worker would surely be earning there money. tsc needs to send in a secret shopper customer to watch for laziness , cluttered aisles and dirty stores. so if you intend on being open after 5pm need to have people can help customers instead of calling manager. hope this can be solved.

My husband bought a water fountain from the Murphy Nc. Tractor Supply as a birthday gift for me .The next day when he went to put it together it was missing parts and one of the tubs was cracked. I immediately called up to the store only to get the most rude person that would not help me at all. She told me that if I wanted another fountain I would have to get on the internet to find one even thou they have a data base and all they have to do is punch in the item number and it will pull up other locations with the item in stock. But for me to find other locations I have to go to the website and type in a zip code and the website will tell me if that location has one or not. But with out zip codes I cant do anything. So I finally was able to pull up a list of every tractor supply by state with the complete address EXCEPT the zip codes. Then I copy those cities down and start in doing a zip code search on those cities then go back to the tractor supply website and enter each zip code one by one. It took me the entire day on my birthday but I finally found a store with 3. They were more than happy to send a replacement to the murphy store but they needed murphy to call and set that up. So on Monday I called the murphy store and they acted all hateful like they didn’t want to do that. Eventually they agreed after I threatened to call district. So my husband goes today to pick up the new fountain and would you believe it…. Another fountain with missing pieces. The lady was very rude and again not helpful. He ended up getting a refund. We have a mini farm and do quite a bit of business there. But after this experience we will never set foot back in a tractor supply. The store just isnt what it use to be and the customer service stinks. I did find that it only seems to be like that with the Murphy store. While on my mission to find a replacement every other store I talk to was very polite and helpful. Whats going on in Murphy ?

Dear Sirs: The following complaint was submitted to the Texas Attorney General’s Office for the actions of your store in Madisonville, Texas. I was just going to take the matter to arbitration, but now Tractor Supply is looking at court action due to the extenuating cirXXXXstances outlined below:
Description of complaint:
Dear Sir: Greetings and Salutations. We are respectfully requesting your authority and influence in a matter concerning fraudulent and irresponsible actions committed by Tractor Supply in Madisonville. TX. My wife purchased a Husky LT4200 42\” riding mower for my son, Jason Harris. We purchased additional \”Rider\” insurance for the mower for an additional 149.99. Ms. Lacey, the general manager of the store made two costly mistakes for which my family is paying the cost. Due to Ms. Lacey filling out the supplemental insurance incorrectly, the manufacturer (MTD) in Ontario, Canada voided the warranty on our mower. We were left with no recourse but to be totally monetarily responsible for the maintenance of the machine.. MTD also voided our warranty due to the fact that Ms. Lacey also sent our mower to an unauthorized maintenance facility earlier in the year. As general manager, she should have known that our particular mower, taken to the wrong facility, would invalidate our warranty. With our warranty invalid, that made the supplemental insurance worthless. Tractor Supply in Madisonville has been unwilling to give us a replacement mower citing it was not responsible, but referred us to our supplemental insurance which was now invalid. We were now stuck with a broke Lemon mower. My son, Jason, on the eve of June the 1st, went to the tractor supply to try to peacefully resolve the matter. The video and audio in the store will testify to the fact that my son attempted to resolve the issue with a controlled demeanor. One of the employees, in poor judgement during observation of the matter, called the Madisonville police. I believe this to be a I believe this to be a false report filed and am contemplating filing charges on this Tractor Supply employee. The Madisonville Police officer was extremely aggressive towards my son who has been deemed an incapacitated child over the age of twenty-one. The officer was aggressive towards my son even after being shown the proper Federal and Texas state identification which clearly state that my son is \” Communication Impaired\”. His condition was caused by a TBI. Today, June the 2nd, I spoke with the senior sergeant, SGT stubblefield, of the Madisonville Police department. I expressed my concerns about the responding officers behavior, where I once again referred to the store audio and video. The video and audio, I said, would show the numerous, unwarranted aggressive actions and speech of his officer towards my son. Tractor Supply should not be able to ignore and shirk the responsibilities they have to my family for their mistakes. My son, although mentally impaired, has almost negotiated a mower replacement when the officer came in. Sir, I am personally a 100 percent disabled combat veteran with twenty-two years of active service. Jason is disabled as is my wife who receives no compensation of her own. We are a disabled household, living on a much earned and deserved fixed compensation. In closing, Your Honor, I am respectfully asking for your office\’s assistance with these issues. My family really needs a mower replacement and all we ask is not to be subjected to unwarranted aggressiveness. Sincerely and Respectfully, Floyd L. Abel, Jr, MSG, USA, NSA (Retired), 13891 County road 112,Centerville, TX 75833 Phone: (903) 642-****
Postscript: MTD has yet to respond to us. They have voided our warranty fully knowing that we were not, in any way, at fault for the condition of the mower. The mower is only a year old and still looks new.

Why doesn’t an “All American” store (Tractor Supply) give a veterans discount? This not only sickens me but the customers who were in line with me were disgusted. I am a veteran and have a huge circle of fellow veterans who have served and are still serving our country. I would appreciate an honest answer.
Elizabeth McLure says
When the Company doesn’t even care about their employees why would he care about our veterans it is an awful awful company to work for I took all of my business elsewhere I don’t care what their prices are
tsc says
No, they don’t care about their employee’s or what they do and continue to do and get away with. They don’t keep a good check on how things are being run or rudeness by management and cashiers. When an employee can cuss a customer out in front of the store and show vulgarity and get by with it something is terribly wrong so why would they give a veterans discount. I am not talking all management at this particular store or all cashiers but a select few and corporate should know who they are because they have been complained about but nothing done. So what does this say about higher up in corporate. They don’t care. If you get a complaint about employees and wrong doing why do you pass it off instead of sending someone in to investigate and talk to the employees and take statements and make that store a better place to shop and work. And set up a veterans discount for heaven sake.

We did the Grand Opening of the Tractor Supply store last year, and we were promised that we would get a donation from the store according to the amount made during the Clover drive. We never received this money and were told by the store manager, Terry, we would expect a check for $500, being cut from Corporate. We were asked again to participate in the Clover drive this year, and the kids came and participated 2 Saturdays and helped with this annual event. Parents bought popcorn to sell, they kids got $117 in donations the first Saturday and $130 the second Saturday. They donated in good faith their money, because they were told they would get it back and a lot more. I will continue my mission to let others know how awful a corporation this is to work for and if anyone hasn’t already “hostile work environment”. No one has the right to treat you this way what happened to building up your team instead of every chance you get break them down. I blame his bosses and their bosses this comes from the top down. Elizabeth, Degradation humiliation, and sexual harassment are the way tractor supply operates these days. Save yourself the headaches and find a decent place to work for. I am currently authoring a book on the horrible way this company treats it’s employees, especially the female employees. I have collected stories from many women and a few men. I would very much like to include your story. The district manager they have in the southwest sounds a lot like yours. They are following the path Wal-Mart took after the founder died and then his son who had taken over. Before that Wal-Mart was a very good place to work, as was tractor supply about a decade ago. doXXXXent everything that man says, get as many witnesses as you can, and get an attorney. Speaking to corporate will only cause then to harass you and use you as a scapegoat. If you would send me your story I would love to hear it and include it. You can send it to pec****@live.com

They won’t give you a discount they only give employee 15% and if an item is damaged they aren’t even allowed to sell it at a discounted rate without approval. It’s all about the almighty buck go shop elsewhere this company has taken hours of my life and promised things to my fiancé and turned right around and stabbed him in the back. Never will trust them they need to do some real training on what makes a good company and how to treat the employees they work to death and Pay them awful. All the district managers care about is meeting plan. They fired my fiancé with sales up 33% and for no reason except they never trained him how to be the hard non caring degrading manger they want to run their stores. Talk to district managers that is where a change needs to start.

Unfortunately I think you need to do some investigation into how TSC treats their employees! I am a manager and have been for years and would never treat my staff the way they treat theirs. Unless you know first hand and want to share your full name you must be one of those they pay to post positive experiences! Enjoy shopping as you are supporting corporate slavery and belittling and Inhumane treatment.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see who get the Port Charlotte store now and if that happens I will picket legally out front and get magnetic stickers for my car that stay “don’t support tractor supply” I am so disappointed and frustrated that a company operates and CUSTOMERS THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU. the store personnel might but corporate they could care less they are still making money the only way to make changes is to stop shopping and take your business elsewhere. Worst company EVER!!

I shop at the Tractor Supply in Pounding Mill VA at least 3 days a week. My only problem with this store is that the Asst. Manager there really does not know what she’s doing. She is very rude at times with customers and employees. You can ask her for help and most of the time she cant help you. I know she has been working there for a pretty good while now. All of the other employees that work there are always very nice and do everything they can to help me. In my experience through the years of retail you have to have good leaders to work for and she is not good at leading. I’ am pretty sure I am wasting my time by typing this because if the company cared they would of let her be employeed there this long.
Elizabeth Mclure says
Because they don’t get training and are thrown into these jobs . Corporate doesn’t care they still expect unrealistic results from the employees they work like slaves and pay like XXXXX. Ask her/him how much training they actually recieved. You will be surprised. It starts from the top and I believe t will never change hoping the implode! Elizabeth McLure says
Tractor Supply doesn’t care about their employees. Shareholders come first. Well they are no better then the factories that use slave labor pay at 9 dollars an hour part time so no benefits no one is full time except the receiver and mangers who work hours and hours for no more money. Scenario do inventory and cut payroll have 7 trucks of feed etc come one right after the other and have annual sales meeting for managers but no staff to help customers nor take care of the unrealistic demands placed upon them. And they don’t care the expect it to still get done while all those big wigs are at home with family enjoying dinner while the team members and employees are busting ass so you can live in your nice houses and drive your nice cars. I hope karma will come to those and that it’s big! i still haven’t recieved a response and won’t stop until someone in corporate calls or emails me to listen to a person who watched the workings of such a horrible company that puts employees last . Have a great day. Shop Walmart or a pet supermarket or your local hardware Stores don’t give this awful company anymore of your hard earned money.
Need propane! says
Tractor Supply can’t provide propane during this record breaking cold snap for the entire region around NE Maryland and Northern Delaware. The Middleton, DE store can’t get any propane from their supplier – AmeriGas. They can’t say when they will be getting any either. Their Elkton, MD store has had a broken pump for over a week and can’t say when it will be fixed. They don’t seem to care either as filling tanks adds to their workload and is an annoyance.
Just a heads up if you depend on getting propane tanks filled at TSC in this region.

I am really disappointed in the customer service outside of being in the store. Meaning, almost every store empl can take u to what your looking for… But the following is unbelievable….
Two skid sprayers in Plymton, Ma, were special ordered, one returned with blown motor two years ago, the other never picked up. Either way I tried to buy these two seasona ago, discounted price was silly. Followed up and no return call. This year manager will look into it, three weeks ago, still no call. Two skid sprayers, very little empowerment at the store level? Micro mgt?
Who knows. Here’s two more…try to buy chemical tanks. No one can give me a correct price. Girl says needs to go outside to get upc in order to give me a price. The book 100 gal is $240+ The 210 gal $299.(Swansea, MA)I have been in the store three times this year trying to get a price on the smaller tank. I can’t spend money at these stores. There sitting on inventory as if it appreciates.
In summary, managers don’t call you back. Store clerks was going to check the tank ups two times last week, I’ve been to store 4 times( Swansea) and I still never received a call. They are quite nice to me and look at me with 1/2 a clue.
Well today, I decide to call the district manager as I had 11 district managers on several locations throughout the country. Customer crevice rep can’t give me number to call, he can only email them and then they respond. Are you seeing the trend. Things just linger and little problems get bigger. First Staples, then who? Unacceptable. Still waiting for a call from the District manage? I thought I was either part of the problem or part of the solution when I was responsible for production. Does the guy at the top care? Have a pulse? He’s probably not reachable either. Really sad as this is a desire able store business that is totally disorganized and mediocre leadership at best. I will wait for a call. 🙁 I’ll wait until I post on facebook. Does TS need more negative exposure before they start returning calls and fixing problems. Mike A

Would it be possible to speak with an actual customer service rep instead of being prompted to find all answers via the website? Both your customer service phone number online and on this page prompt the same recording and it is impossible to be connected to a human. What is UP with that?

In December 2014 I bought a dump cart, today Jan 2015 I go to tractor supply in my city to get a tire that went bad for the cart and they don’t carry those tires, so why not? So I had to buy a tire that is not the same one and I am really upset about this. Why wouldn’t they carry the tire for the cart that they sell? I do not understand this.

I purchased a cannon gun safe in dec. I paid it in full and told them it would be up to a couple of weeks before I could pick it up. I took time of work and went to the store in monroe wa to pick it up and they informed me that they had sold my safe and they knew about it for a couple of weeks and no one called to explain the problem. I asked the manager to call me they said he was on vacation and would call me when he returned. He has been at work for five days now and no call. I would like a response if possible thanks.

We just bought 2 Berkshire 8 week old pigs yesterday in Mississippi. On the way home we purchase a bad of Producers Pride Hog Feed at Tractor Supply in Picayune, Ms. After driving home to Bay Minette Alabama and setting up the quarters for the pigs, we opened the bag of hog feed and almost were knocked off our feet with the ammonia smell. After looking at the feed it was wet and chunky! As it is way to far to return this feed, we are angry that this feed was ever allowed to be sold. The Store number is 1684 and as I said, in Picayune, Ms. We are truly getting tired of the poor products and poor customer service of all the Tractor Supplies we go to. One in Saraland Alabama, will leave you out in the yard for 15 minutes or never show up to oad items. And the one in Bay Minette is just as bad! We need to locate another Farm Store.

Tractor supply in staunton va is the worst I’ve ever been to! All the women in the evening shift are so rude to customers exp. Anna she acts like it kills her to have to assist someone. I’ve been a long time customer actually my whole family but we have all decided to make the extra drive now to rockingham co-op because the customer service here sucks. Sorry it’s your job to assist the public. Poor place to go but just my opinion. Thanks (lost customers) p.s it’s bad when all the local farmers at the livestock sales think the same and have taken thier business elsewhere

This is in regards to our attempt to purchase a Champion 7500/9550 generator (a non-stock item at our local Tractor Supply store) using our newly obtained Tractor Supply Credit account. We obtained the line with a $4,500 limit Saturday. After applying and being approved, we followed the Shop Now link and proceeded to place our order.
We were unable to complete it because unlike cards from Home Depot, Best buy, and Amazon, Tractor Supply’s credit card requires a CVN number when purchasing on the Tractor Supply web site. I spent over an hour Tuesday evening at the Puyallup store where one of the staff members attempted to help me with the order. We were able to complete an in-store purchase with the account information, but because the item we wanted could only be ordered online, she was not able to help. She had to follow the same order procedure we tried at home. We could not get around the CVN requirement.
I contacted CITI Bank this morning and was given a temporary CVN number. It did not work (my wife tried it on our home computer and I tried it on my work computer). I called back, the gal I talked to saw the number and put me on hold to follow. After 10 minutes on hold that call was dropped. I called back and found myself talking to a third person. At first she could not find the CVN note. Then she contacted another department. When she got back, she reported that no one in that department knew where the temporary CVN came from or why I was given it. The only CVN that will work is the one actually on the back of the card. Security will not release the number. We have to wait for the card – period. We were hoping to take advantage of the no interest until January 2016 offer. Unfortunately, it looks like we will not see the card until after that offer expires. Having now spent over 4 hours attempting to complete this transaction, we are very frustrated and wondering why Tractor Supply can’t do a better job taking care of its customers.

Well I have a shipping question and on line will not provide an answer.. Reading through these comments is certainly no surprise. Tractor Supply gives off the smell of a dying company, with no attention at all to customer service. It is always hard to find anyone at all in the nearly deserted stores, other than at the cash register.
Yesterday I was working on my tractor. I needed to get a field plowed ahead of rains that were forecast for the afternoon. I discovered that I needed some gear oil. I could have gone two different places to get it, each about 8 miles away, but in opposite directions. I went to my computer and found the gear oil on the Tractor Supply web site, and used their ‘check store availability’ feature to be sure it was in stock. I drove the 8 miles to the store to get it, but found out that it was not in stock.
Even with the aid of modern computer technology, and computerized inventory tracking systems, this company clearly cannot manage their inventory well enough to keep such a basic ‘tractor’ item in stock, and worse, they have a ‘special feature’ on their website that only serves to mislead people.
When I asked the cashier to speak to the store manager, (I wanted to register my complaint about driving 16 miles round trip in vain), she told me that she IS the store manager. When I asked to talk to the store’s general manager, she told me that she is the general manager. (With the store’s general manager working a cash register, it is certainly no surprise that the store can’t manage its inventory).
When I explained to the store’s general manager that I had driven 8 miles to get an item that their web site said was in stock, only to find it out of stock, she flippantly informed me that I needed to call the store to confirm inventory. When I asked her why they would even have the online inventory check system, if I needed to call the store, she arrogantly told me that I could “call corporate and complain”.
We have been regular customers of this store for some time. We have been buying over 300 lbs of feed from this store per month. But now I’m cured. There are other outlets for tractor and farm supplies in the area that are reliable in keeping actual ‘tractor supplies’ in stock, and can afford to pay for employees to work in their stores, to manage their inventory, and to provide customer service.
I did call corporate to complain. I am supposed to be contacted by email by the district manager, (for the Sturbridge, MA store), David Toth. Haven’t heard anything yet. I’m sure Mr. Toth is very busy supervising the store managers who are too busy working as cashiers at his stores to manage inventory and keep basic items in stock. Or maybe he is feverishly working on the web site software that misleads customers about inventory in stock. He clearly is too busy, at least so far, to care about losing a regular customer.
Tractor Supply clearly has no respect or regard for its customers. As I said, this outfit has the smell of a dying company all over it.

I ran into the store to make a fast purchase tonight, there was a strong smell of propane in the air. My son ,and an another young man began to tell me that early that evening another employee let their 500g tank leak completely empty. The person in charge even got in on the story.
At this time the store is fill and the parking lot smell like a refinery.
My question to her / statement concern following the proper safety .
I E: call the fire department, what did she do? She call another manager, and said it should be fine.. There’re no way thank tank could cause a fire. Then she had the nerve to tell my son, that I need to act like a customer. I was , a concern customer for the safety of the shoppers and the employees . So I call, and she look him( my son) In the eye and said well we are now going to have a bill. A bill vs possibly of death. You be the judge.

One suggestion for corporate. “Undercover Boss”! You obviously have No Clue as to what goes on at the store level! Managers have NO support, team members are poorly trained, overworked and underpaid. The “non exhaustive list of tasks” is completely overwhelming and impossible to complete in your time frame and to your expectations. You have completely forgotten the roots of this company, the customers and the hard working people who go home exhausted and poor so that your pockets can continue to be lined. WAKE UP!! Just because it works in Tennessee doesn’t mean it works in the rest of the country. Foot traffic varies from store to store. Two team members might be enough to operate some stores but are definitely not enough to operate others. Give management the payroll to run the stores efficiently instead of constantly setting them up for failure. There are MANY reasons to explain the high rate of turnover. Again, WAKE UP. Pay attention to what your employees have to say.

As a former employee, I totally agree and then some… I loved the type of work. I am farm and ranch thru and thru.. Take better care of the employees and you will have a very successful farm and ranch company…. This is definitely not happening at TSC. We need Murdoch’s Ranch Supply in the south. TSC would be history.

I completely agree! I just quit as a cashier there. Obviously it doesn’t pay enough but the training was terrible! I trained with another cashier for a day then it was sink or swim. I basically trained myself. Then would get lectured constantly by my manager for protocols I didn’t know existed. You can’t teach yourself what you don’t know. Cashier’s are supposed to answer phones, check out customers, greet every customer and direct customers all at the same time. then get lectured about our numbers being low for this or that. We have to badger customers to donate to up sell products sell power plus item of the month..to no avail because we never seem to sell enough to satisfy numbers. There’s no positive reinforcement at this job. You do your job and nothing is said. do somthibg wrong and the manager is in ya. I worked there six months. That’s all I could take.

Have a PowerPlus Plan for Bad Boy Mower (purchased 4/18/2013). Was told by TSC sales person the PowerPlus plan covers wear/tear from every day use (TSC web site states the same) and general maintenance. However, upon having mower serviced, have now been told by the repair shop that the advertised ‘every day use wear/tear’ are NOT covered by the plan. A check of the ‘What is not covered’ section of the PowerPlus Plan evidences that preventative maintenance and ‘wear and tear from everyday use’ is NOT covered – despite what the website (there is no qualify asterisk to check the plan terms for exceptions; even if it did – it would fully negate the asserted coverage scope) and your sales persons tell consumers.
Bluntly put – your website and your salespersons are providing false and misleading information which induces people to purchase the PowerPlus Plan to cover items that are NOT covered. We are now going to have to pay maintenance expenses that we were told would be covered. I am more than certain that I am not the only consumer who had this issue and it has left my husband and I extremely disappointed with Tractor Supply and will affect future purchasing with your company.

In July I put two tons of Somerset wood pellets in layaway at the Richmond Indiana location. Today I received a call that my pellets were in, which I thought was strange because they were already in when I put them in layaway in July. I was told there was a price reduction between then and now and they would make an adjustment when I came in. I called back yo make sure the pellets that I would be picking up later that day were indeed Somerset pellets.I was told they were not, they were Ligenetics brand. I told them that is not what I put in layaway and I wanted Somerset. I was told that brand was out because other people already picked them up. I too would have picked mine up if someone would have called and told me I needed to pick up my Somerset pellets. Now I am stuck with $437.63 dollars worth of inferior pellets. I purchased a product to be put in layaway and did not get what I ppurchased. The manager told me there was nothing he could do. My two tons of pellets should have been marked sold and my name put on them. Frustrated beyond belief.

I had a serious problem with the Plattsburgh NY store. I bought a welding torch kit a while back that included the tanks that were supposed to be part of a EASY EXCHANGE program for refilling. Then for some reason they stopped exchanging the tanks, and they told me the local welding supply store would exchange the tanks, but when I took the tanks there, the tanks that I was given as part of tractor supply’s exchange program were not legally inspected and were no good. The local welding supply store could not exchange them. So back to tractor supply we go only to be told there was nothing they could do even though they had a set of torches on the floor for sale with good tanks, they could not replace the bad tanks that they gave me and that I would have to call the company myself or they would buy back the junk tanks that they gave me for $31.00. After calling the local welding store they said buying the tanks there would cost $240.00 a far cry from $31.00 for sure. So off to make some phone calls, instead of working on what I had to work on in the beginning, only to be told that they could not make the store do the right thing either and replace the tanks with the ones on the floor. Finally I was told that they could contact the district manager and have him call me which he did and it was finally resolved and I had the tanks replaced with the ones on the floor. Thanks Adam the district manager and Lisa S that finally did the exchange but no thanks to Plattsburgh store # 193 for a lot of wasted time on some thing that was clearly your fault for giving unsafe, uninspected tanks which is probably why you don’t exchange tanks now!

I like to tell you about how tractor supply in Monticello, Fl. 32344 is being run>>
I’m not alone in this complaint, I’ve talked to friends and customers at tractor’s store. Every time you go to this store after checking the store’s web site to find out if the item your looking for is in, which the web site say’s yes and get to the store to find out it’s not there. You talk to the manager and they tell you, I’m sorry but I’ll get that item in a day or two. You go back in a week and still nothing. So you ask again and this time they give you a date, surprise it’s still not there. You certainly have some great manger’s at this store. This is the one store that continually repeats The truck didn’t bring deliver it but will have it next time. I’ve never seen a Tractor supply store run like this… Thank you for your time and consideration !!!! James J. McGrath

I went to Tractor Supply Co 3 weeks ago to purchase the pedal car for my son’s birthday Aug 21 there had two in Stock, one is return the other one had been there since the store opened two and a half or 3 years ago it has a flat tire and has been sitting outside the entire time, the returned car had four bald tires it looks like it has been road for at least a hundred miles all on pavement. It is also as old as the store is. I have tried to resolve this at the store with no luck, they do not want to come down on the price for the used one at 150 and they still wanted 200 for the one with a flat tire that was supposedly brand new but has been sitting outside for a number of years . I have spoken with both managers at the store and the 800 number customer satisfaction line neither have offered any solution. I don’t understand how they can charge so much for a used product and so much for a product is not new in the box. Please get in touch with me. Perhaps we can resolve something before Christmas I’m sure my son would love to have this pedal car. I

I visited our local Tractor Supply in Bluefield WV store # 166 today and while the service was great, this store has some major issues! I feel like I need a tetnous shot after walking into the bathroom! It was ridiculous! Black footprints all over the white walls, dirt and paper everywhere, the paper product holders are broken,no soap, the locks where broken on the doors and the list goes on and on. Not to mention the huge fans that they use because the A/C is broken. I almost had a heat stroke just walking around in there! I feel sorry for the employees who have to work all day in these conditions. Let’s just hope this winter that the heat works. I hope that you can do something to improve these conditions. I have been a regular customer of TSC stores at Red Bluff and Chico, California spending thousands of dollars every year to supply the needs of my chicken and cattle farm. I also buy building materials and various farm products. On july 12, 2014 I bought 30 bags of chicken feed and cattle feed at the Chico store, ca. When I got home I was surprised that they loaded the wrong chicken feed (scratch grains) instead of the purina layers feed that is in my receipt. This is the second time it happened, the first time I let it go. Although I was reimbursed for the difference in price, my chickens have been eating scratch grains for almost two weeks now. I could not return the bags of chicken feeds cause I leave about 50 miles away and a farmer’s time is very important. I strongly think that this was done intentionally with bias undertone on the employees behavior. I hope that these employees know that we are the customers and as such, we are keeping the tsc company afloat and also keeping the employees jobs secured.

When I called a week later to see if someone claimed it if not we thought it would be ours because we found it. I called today and was told if nobody claims it we don’t get it it goes to charity. 51dollars is not going to make us rich but we could have been given a THANK YOU FOR BEING HONEST OR MAYBE A SMALL GIFT CARD FOR TURNING IT IN. THEY SAID IN 30 days it would be turned over to charity. HOW DO I KNOW THAT HAPPENS. this is a New Jersey store. I used to think honesty was the best policy!!!!!

Year for need to teach your managers some respect for the customers
I have been shopping at the Palatka tractor supply store for years
I bought a cadet zero turn mower for $3000 from you folks
I have been buying blades for $80 a set for the last three years
I just now am trying to replace the plastic wheels on the deck
You had six of them in stock one of them rang up for $7.99
The others rang up for $15.99
The sticker whether were in the bin
that was $7.99
Your store manager actually argued with me her name is Kim KE am in front of all the customers telling me that she would not sell it to me for 799 because it came up on the register 1599
I told her to use some common sense
She was offended by that and told me that I needed to mind my own business and either by the wheel or leave and she called two people from the back room young man to basically forced me to leave your store
I bought the one wheel for 799 and one of the gentleman came outside and said I understand you’re right but she’s the boss
I’ve left and I won’t be back I need an apology and perhaps I may go see a lawyer
I’m 66 years old and I have never in my life been embarrassed like that I’m a veteran I am just I just totally do not know how someone could stand there and be that belligerent and that stupid and you guys have her as a store manager

I have been a long time customer of the Tractor Supply Store in Augusta, Maine.
Upon shopping their this weekend, both registers were having problems. This has been an ongoing issue for nearly a year now, but this time the wait was well over 15 minutes. Both cashiers paged the manager, who gave them quick instructions and left. The cashiers tried to remedy the situation with both registers, and still both did not work properly….Suggestion to Corporate………if you want business to continue………Train Managers……….Train staff…………update or fix your cash registers….. There ARE other farm and feed supply stores, and I am under no obligation to continue shopping there…..If more people have that same mindset, you may find Tractor Supply losing many customers……..and closing its doors….

Recently I bought a 10 pound bag of Ortho “Bug B Gon” at our local Tractor Supply for $9.99.. At our local Walmart Dept. store, the same Ortho product with the same weight/volume was$6.88. And that was their regular price, it was not a sale price. Isn’t Tractor Supply suppose to be considered as an economical store for their customer? And aren’t they suppose to be somewhat competitive? When I went back to Tractor Supply to complain, they sympathized with me. But said that there was nothing that they could do about it and I could return my purchase if I wanted to. I don’t find fault with the manager.
But I am really disappointed in Tractor Supply.

I recently started working at tractor supply and as a customer I have always loved the store for the most part but as an employee, lets just say I won’t be supporting this store at all. For one I wasn’t trained I was thrown on the register and expected to know everything on the FIRST day, no one took the time to help me with questions so now everyday when I work I get customers who get nasty with me because I constantly have to page someone to help me because I have no clue what I am doing quiet often. Second reason, I didn’t get paid when I was suppose to I had to fight and call around as to to why I wasn’t getting my so called paycheck which is a card that charges just about everything you do with it so the company can make more money, got my card and now I am missing almost 150 dollars from the hours I worked. No pay statement so I don’t know my hours, pay, taxes etc. I’m sorry tractor supply but I’m thinking my two week notice is coming very very soon. I am beyond disgusted at this point. And now I have to wait three days to get things straightened out because oh! Headquarters isn’t open on the weekends to help their employees! I am beyond frustrated right now, oh and thanks for having me offer item of the month, giveaways and ask EVERYONE for phone number, zip code and oh their age on almost everything they buy, nothing like making people get nasty with the employees so you guys can try to “help yourselves”.

I went to TSC in St. Johns this past week plannning on spending over $500 on spray for my yard. When I got to TSC and went to get the items (that the online website SAID they had in stock at St. Johns TSC) they didn’t have what I wanted. They didn’t have crabgrass spray by Scott’s or as many 10/10/10 fertilizer as they said. I went to the store specifically because the website said it was in stock. When we asked the cashier if they had anymore in the back, she scanned the fertilizer and said “yes it says we have 7 more.” When we asked if someone could get it she was VERY rude and said “Well that doesn’t mean we have it.” It was like we were inconvienceing her to look for it! So my husband and I walked the entire store moving things around as not all of the fertilizer was in the same spot. Some was in automotive, some in gardening, some in dogfood. Very disorganized! Finally we found someone to go to the back and look (who also acted impatient we asked him for something), so my husband and I waited for 15 minutes. When no one came back we went looking for the guy who said he was going to help us, only to find him at the front of the store helping someone else. REALLY? We left our cart in the middle of the store and will NEVER go back there. I have never been treated so rudely. My money will be given to Home Depot. And these small stores wonder why they go out of business to the larger corporations.

I purchased a grass trimmer last year for my husbands father day gift. After 3 months it had stopped working. He brought it back to the Ticonderoga N.Y tractor supply with receipt in hand. They told him they had sent all their trimmers back for the season kept his receipt and told him to come back in the spring for an exchange. After spending several hrs on the phone we finally got a receipt mailed to us.He proceeds to exchange it today and the manager at the Ticonderoga N.Y. store says what am I suppose to do with it I am just going to have to throw it out. She then tells him he can drive 60 miles to get it fixed even after she was aware that we had purchased an extended warranty for replacement.I have shopped many times in Tractor Supply, never again and nor will I recommend this store to anyone.

I purchased a Cub Cadet garden digger used it twice and it broke. Tractor supply won’t replace it and it’s just sitting there in the parking lot in the weather waiting to be repaired when it has been garage kept. The Seneca, S.C. store keeps telling me their service representative won’t pick it up. So I paid $ 1,000 for nothing. Getting ready to get an Attorney. This store id awful in every way. Ask the Manager to call and give me a status several times. She sais they would. No calls yet???? Tractor Supply has lost my business.

Love your store. I am the Mayor of Bay Springs, Jasper County, Mississippi. I would very much like for Tractor Supply to consider building a store our town. I know we are a small town but we are the hub of trade for all the surrounding areas. We have a trade area of at least 20,000 people. The manager at the the Toledo store is the rudest, egotistic, self-center prick I have ever met and worked for.. The sooner you learn this the better off your company will be. He is a dreamer who thinks every thing should work his warped way, He fired most of his staff and thinks hiring new people to fit his strange self-centered direction will work. I can honestly say he is the reason i left!

We are regular customers at your Flanders, NJ Store. My family and I purchase for our business and personal needs.
As I’m sure you are aware we have had a significant amount of snow which has become quite a nuisance to us all. On Tuesday the 18th of February my Ford van was involved in an accident with one of your carts. The cart was in a snow bank which was concealed by the height of the snow it was against. Unfortunately while turning into your parking lot section I heard a loud bang noise. Upon existing my vehicle I noticed one of your flatbed carts rolling down the through your parking lot. Upon inspection of my vehicle I found fresh damage to my passenger side door. I entered the store and spoke with the manager Karl. He was less than enthusiastic in helping me. We both went outside to view the damage, during which Karl took pictures. He also retrieved the cart to see if the damaged area lined up with the cart, it did. I was somewhat aggravated when Karl push the cart against my vehicle with no concern for more damage. I ask him to stop and not to touch the damaged area. Karl had no concern for my requests and rubbed the area anyway. He was somewhat belligerent when I voiced my disapproval. This did not end well to say the least. Karl stated he would report the accident and Tractor Supply would contact me. After Three weeks I have yet to hear from anyone with regard to this matter other than Brian whom was very pleasant to deal with. This contact was initiated by myself upon a queried visit to the store. While I am disappointed with Tractor Supply’s Manager Karl, I would hope the Company will do the right thing and expedite this matter to a resolve. I’m optimistic Tractor Supply prefers a loyal repeat customer over its liability of $303.88. I look forward to your reply inclusive of contact information to resolve this matter

I went to Tractor Supply in Dallas, Ga for the Black Friday sale. I got there and was second in line for my items. I asked if I could pick the items up later as they were heavy and bulky, and I would need to get a friend and his trailer. I was told that would be fine as the store only issued enough tags for items in stock, as this had been a previous issue. I paid for my items and the manager took the tags to place new “boxed items” as “SOLD” I returned well within the agreed time frame with my receipts. After the sales associate looked for my items for thirty minutes, she came out to tell me they had been sold. We found one marked with my name that was the floor display and it was torn. They had no other solution for me other than to take the one on display. After a call to the manager(at home by now), and no real solution, I was told to wait on one as backorder. This did not fly with me AT ALL! I am a patient man, but wanted some kind of result. The store messed up, but could not make a justification of a better item for a good deal. I did end up getting a deal on a lesser item that was in fact a slightly damaged item. That part of this mess made me mad, but I dealt with it and was ready to go on.
The second part to my issues is the fact that I was supposed to get 18 months same as cash offer going on, as the total was over $1300.00. Come to find out after the first month, I was charged interest. So, I called the number on the account bill only to find out I was not included on the 18 plan. The credit company said they could not help me and I would have to go to the store to correct. So, I did just that. At this point the 18 month offer was not in effect and I could not get 18 months, but only 6. Well, I am okay with that as I would ay it in a couple of months anyway. The only setback is the assistant store manager had to completely credit my old sale and re-ring up my purchase. Not a big deal, right? WRONG! This brings me to the next saga of this nightmare story.
Two weeks ago, on a Sunday, no doubt, I get a call from the credit issuing company. They commence to tell me I am late on my payment and a $25 late charge is being added to my account on top of the interest charged originally, plus additional interest accrued. My gasket officially blew. I ended the call from the not so understandable, English(if you will) speaking person and was transferred to a manager.” He(Keith) told me he understands the issue and what has happened. He tells me he will credit all the additional fees, etc and I am good until the next bill was due, which will be March 21. That was the first call. Since, I have had another call saying I need to take care of the minimum before it goes against my credit and additional fees. I have to go through the entire process again, with a better speaking English manager(Tammy). After the entire process, again, and the telling me the fees are removed, and that I would be removed from the auto calling process they have, I feel better that the matter has been resolved. Nope, wait a minute, tonight here we go again. I totally lost it. I am flat being harassed. I was told I need to take care of accrued $63.00 and would I pay it with a debit or credit card, etc. I flat told them the entire amount due will be paid when the bill Is due(3/21/14). My next process is with the BBB as this is ridiculously horrible customer treatment and flat out harassment. I AM DONE! When the payment goes through(already set through direct bank) I will be calling them and cancelling this flipping card. The shame is TSC is a really great store, they just need better customer service and understanding. And when you screw up, fix it! Unfortunately, I do not feel my business is appreciated with TSC and my actions will reflect. Good Day.

RE: Tow Behind Spreader Sales Ad –2118079
Store# 786
Date of Transaction: 03.09.14 Time: 10:37AM – Register: 2
Ticket # 175239
Cashier: 00332628
My husband saw this item in sales ad during week and called local (Talladega, Alabama ) store #786 to make sure item was there… After all we learned a long time ago that ‘MODELS may vary by store” we should always call!!! In fact, online availability says “CALL STORE”… He did. He was advised item available……Since I was going to shop the Walmart store next door to Tractor Supply in Talladega, Alabama on Saturday, March 8, 2014 – my husband goes in Tractor Supply to purchase the item- but then realized we were in my SUV and no ‘trailer’ to haul the item on – and there is NO way he’s going to load or even attempt to load such an item in my SUV– He tells sales lady he will be back to pick it up tomorrow (Sunday March 9) –Ok, now this is what ticks me off at Tractor Supply…… He returns today, (again same sales lady) –Sunday, March 9, 2014 and is advised they do not have that particular item (did not get that particular one) – So no problem he thought – after all the sales ad says ‘Model May Vary By Store’.. Yeah, well ‘Tractor Supply’ forgot to include the disclaimer ‘PRICE MAY VARY BY STORE TOO”… That’s just wrong. They had (never got them in) NO TOW BEHIND SPREADER FOR THE SALE PRICE OF $149.00 — what he was sold was a “tow behind” that cost $199.99 PLUS TAX $20.00 for a GRAND TOTAL of 219.99. (#2118150) . Now, we have shopped at Tractor Supply for years. So has my dad, brother, other family members, friends and so forth. I think this was just tacky never to have mentioned item not available at the sale price. But you can get another model at a much higher cost…Not just tacky – it’s just plain wrong to conduct business and treat customers (especially dedicated long time customers this way. I’d be ashamed.

I’m writing this as a very concerned and frustrated shopper and friend of the local tractor supply family. I shop the Dothan Alabama store and in the past two years, I have seen a complete turn over in every position within the store. Understanding in retail that this is a common occurrence do to transfers, unhappy employees, folks that just can’t cut the work force requirements and so on. I truly believe this store has a completely different problem. Because I am a regular customer I regularly chat with the employees past and present some tell me some of what’s going on. Out of respect no names have ever been discussed but positions have. In a two year period as I stated from the manager position to the lowest employee, everyone has quit! From what I gather this is because for what the demand of work to the pay earned and the way employees are treated from the higher ups, Tractor Supply (Dothan) is considered the worse place to work in this area. In a recent severe weather situation employees were directed to come to work despite state and county road closures because of icy roads and the county declared it was to dangerous to travel the roads yet Tractor Supply made it mandatory for it’s employees to come to work and one individual was involved in an accident of which she was severely injured and out of work for a long period of time. Again, at whatever cost to make management look good almost resulted in the death of this individual! My information has been supplied by several folks, most no longer work at the store but keep in touch with what was and will continue to be close friends. I know it sounds like an employee doesn’t feel he or she was treated fair but let me assure you I don’t work there never did or never will. Some of my personal experiences are costumer service is next to none. I ask an employee one day why it was so hard to get help and was told they were assigned to clean because some upper management was coming for a visit and they really are so undermanned that the customer isn’t the priority. Other times I’ve been in the store where a cashier and one other employee is working trying to take care of several customers at once, very frustrating. Even the simple phone call being put on hold for long periods of time because only one or two employees working and talking to a very inexperienced worker can make you take you business elsewhere. Many times I have gone to Mariana Florida just to get better assistance.
Recently I spoke to a friend who had stopped by the store (in Dothan) and saw every person working that day very busy cleaning and what appeared to be doing busy work. They were told that they were preparing for a visit from someone big. Come to find out some of the folks had put in a 10 to 14 hour day preparing for this visit. Not sure why the store would be in such bad shape that would require every employee to be there to get the store ready for a visit from higher ups, what about ready for the customers?
I am friends with several of the employees who quit. This is not only at this store but throughout the district that this specific person is in charge of. One manager quit and took a much less paying job just to get away from this environment, an assistant manager quit after working many years for the company that was told they were not good enough to be manager but was in charge of and ran the store for many months after the manager quit, again because of the poor work environment. It sounds like the real problem is the district supervisor. Depending on her mood or if she just came from some pep talk meeting life at the store for all employees could be pure hell. I hate to see folks so unhappy, disappointed and frustrated about the way they are treated at work so someone in a higher position can look good at the expense of the employees under them. I really believe this should be looked into and find out the history of some very good employees walking away from a job that possible could have been their big dream. Just found out that the receiver just turned in her two week notice for reasons I guess she only knows. She was such an inspiration to the store. Another great lose!
I have read that Tractor Supply in other areas is a great outfit to work for but I guess it just depend if you have someone in charge that will do anything at any cost to look good!
Sir, I know this is probably something that will be discarded as just another unhappy person but I really feel that a lot of talented, rising stars, and just plan loyal employees have been lost at the expense of some power hungry person whose only concern are those of his/her career and how far he/she can get as fast as he/she can and just really doesn’t care about how many folks he/she walks all over and ruins there opportunity to achieve a piece of satisfaction knowing they worked for a company that not only cared about them and their future which I think Tractor Supply truly does. I served 26 years in the Navy and have seen many good and bad times. Seeing such poor management at your Store level should be a disgrace to the entire company. Reading these inputs tells me that more of these need to be posted at a local level so people who shop there know that the money they spend there lines pockets of money hungry people that really don’t care about the customer or their employees. Hope this one hits home and for the future of that next rising star, a place worth working and making a career.

After reading this letter, I felt I had to respond. I recently started working at our local Tractor Supply, mostly because we shop there so often and love the employees so much, I figured I may as well work here. And I really do love the customers, my fellow employees, and managers.
Last week, our store was also visited by “corporate”. We all pitched in to make an already spotless store even MORE spotless….and our manager and assistant manager both went above and beyond….and we STILL got a bad rating! Our managers KNOW our customers, and what works well for them. I feel like we were going to fail no matter what, but our sales are up, our customer satisfaction is through the roof, and our Power Plus add on is above quota. So tell me why, “corporate”? We are the lower level, lowest paid, but most important employees you have. WE are the face of TS. It’s such a blow to morale.
I’ve only been working here for a short time, but I see myself as a long-term employee. I think we should work toward making TS a great place to shop and work, and the profits will come. I would hate to think that any store would get a bad rating so as not to receive bonuses. That would be disgusting.

I shop @ two TSC stores. One in Hebron, OH is great. The one in Pickerington, OH not so great. The one in Pickerington is on my way from work.
I have stopped for 3 weeks @ the Pickerington store to buy bedding for the horse stalls and is being told they don’t have any and get from supplier. Funny though how last week after the manager told me that – he said wait they had a skid out in the yard they were going to use for the chicks and ducks and would sell me 3 bags of that.
I went to the Hebron store last week and they had plenty of shavings. I asked if they were having difficulty getting from the supplier and they said no. Not sure how one store can get and the other can’t. The manager I had @ the Pickerington store last night was just not so nice about it.
It seems that this time of year when sawdust is hard to get, TSC would stay completely stocked on shavings.
Thanks.

TSC just opened a store in Brevard NC. I’ve always wanted a TSC here but now that it’s here I don’t think I’ll go back. Before Christmas I ordered 2 gun safes. Waited patiently until mid January to get them. When TSC loaded the first one into my Ford Expedition not only did they load it face down, meaning the controls and locking hub were toward the floor, but they toer off half of the pallet it was loaded on and screwed to. Unloading without the pallet attached was 5 times more difficult than loading with it intact. That is why they put them there. There is no place to get a hold on these big heavy things without one. We actually had to pull it out with a lawn tractor to get enough out of the truck to get a grip on. When we got it out the place where the locking hub was pressed into the floor left an indentation and messed up the carpet with a king of friction burn. When we got it unloaded there was some paint missing on the top.
The unloading was such a fiasco that I decided I didn’t want the second safe. I called to cancel the second safe and get my money refunded. I also mentioned the loading job and that the safe was missing some paint. The person I spoke with told me that they would give me a %10 discount because of the paint. For some reason, for my own protection, they couldn’t give a refund over the phone, somebody had to come in with a receipt and the credit card. I guess they are protecting me for some crook trying to put money back on my card. So, my son takes in the card and receipt and was told that the manager had to do it and he wasn’t in. The next day I went in. The store looked deserted. There were no employees visible anywhere as I stood at the service desk. There was a cashier coming in from the parking lot with a mouth full of candy and I had him call somebody. Keith shows up from in back and I told him why I was there. He said he told my son, yesterday, that the manager had to be there to do it.I told him I couldn’t believe that a manager had to be there. I also told him that somebody had told me they gave me a 10% discount on the safe I had but no discount ever showed up anywhere. Was that just a lie to put me off?? Anyway I repeated that they had over $700.00 of my money, I was told I had to come to the store to get it done and now, even though I’d been there TWICE, nobody could give me a refund. Keith barks back “I’m not going to stand here and get yelled at! I told you that you would have to come back tomorrow when the manager is here.” First, I wasn’t yelling. I was pretty perturbed that there was nobody there that had the authority to give me an IN PERSON refund after coming in, as instructed, twice.
So my experience with TSC, who has had over $700.00 of my money for nearly a month, who told me they gave me a 10% discount for damage to the safe but didn’t give me a refund at all, who could not give a refund over the phone because I had to bring the receipt, who couldn’t give me a refund IN PERSON after making 2 trips, who have been anything but helpful, who have damaged my vehicle and made unloading the safe much harder by being careless and who have told me “they aren’t gonna stand here and get yelled at” (when I wasn’t yelling), has been anything but pleasant and productive. It seems nobody there knows anything about customer service. These people want customers to come to their store and spend money yet they act this way. This is a small town and word travels fast. If they want anybody beyond their own relatives to shop there they need a good house cleaning and to be restaffed with trained people. It just seems like nobody there gives a hoot about doing their jobs.

The tractor supply in Hattiesburg,Mississippi has a problem with some of their employee’s being very rude and unhelpful. After talking to some other people, I find that this is an issue that is not uncommon at the store. After addressing my issue with the manager, she acted as if I must be crazy. She said she would address the issue but I really do not think she did.

Tractor Supply is suffering from an obvious cultural problem. It has to change at the top first. I’ll bet you their senior leaders are arrogant and dismissive of their own emplyees, and it radiates out from there. Amazon customer service can teach TSC how to talk to people.
When the national customer service is snotty, can you imagine the customer service at the retail level?
chelsey says
Listen, I’ve read all your comments and most of them I understand and agree with but like someone said before me, you need to understand that we are a retail association and are often short staffed. That does not constitute rudeness or an inability to do their job. That is a single store unit that needs some series management improvements. Let me assure u that some of us take things seriously and although we are human and make mistake, we are professionals in my location and are very lenient with returns, complaints, etc. I agree that when u are at work, u need to accommodate multiple situations, that is OUR JOB. I don’t know all of these situations but often times people come in with less of a complain an
more of a harassing name calling an individual that has nothing to do with the problem
at hand. Yes, these people should not be disrespectful to you, but please consider the way u talk with them. Everyone’s different and sometimes (actually a lot), these people are trying to
follow the rules and don’t do well with disrespectful people. I apologize for all the complaints and I can’t speak for everyone else in the stores around the country but I’m in Maine. Here we go out of our way to accommodate our customers. If course there are those who are very rude to us and attack us without reason. Bottom line, please just respect us as people and we should respect you. Attitude only hurts the situation. Thank you and again I apologize for the disgraceful employees around the country

I have been a huge fan of Tractor Supply now for many years and have spent a small fortune on products ranging from work boots and pants, dog food, deer hunting paraphernalia, lawn and gardening equipment, and many many other things. The customer service at the Knightdale, NC store has always been great. I stop by there every chance I get even if I don’t “need” anything.
I was in need of a gun safe and saw that Tractor Supply had the one I wanted on sale for the Holidays. So I purchased it without hesitation because of the customer service I received at my local store, I thought I would get the same with the online department. Boy was I wrong! My gun safe was delivered today and had serious damage to the front of the safe. There was a huge dent on the top front and also some scratches on the door. Of course while the freight carrier delivery guy was still there, I attempted to contact customer service but after waiting on the phone for 30 minutes (while the delivery guy is standing there), I finally just told him to load it back up and take it back.
After he left, I called TS back and left a message for them to call me back. That was at 4:30 pm. I haven’t heard anything out of Customer service, and its 6:30. I called again and have now been on hold for 35 minutes and 46 seconds and counting. It seems that you would have more customer service representatives to assist customers with wait times this long. Especially after researching the company and finding out that TS is a $2 billion a year earner… Very disappointed in customer service and am having second thoughts about taking my business here in the future… and I haven’t even began the process to get a new safe yet… and my current phone call is sitting at 40 minutes and 26 seconds….

I am a customer of your Tractor Supply in Taunton Mass 02780. I love your products but the service of your employers in Management are ruining your business. I spent 1000.00 dollars on a two stage snowblower when I got it home I hired someone to attach it to my ride on only there were parts missing. I went back to the store to get the part however they did not have it. Here is where the problem comes in ,they claim they tried to get the part for me, I waited for a return call that I never received ,I left my manual and the right side part with the management ,asked them not to loose then however they can not find them. I took it upon myself to get the part and I managed to get it in one day the are mailing it too me , but now I will have the left side but not the right side since your management has lost it. I am paying to install and I am doing the work your staff is being paid to do. I believe these people do not care about your business. I am not sure I will ever do business at your store again because of management and I delt with a few of them . They should be fired and you should rehire people who care about their jobs and your bottom line there are lots of BETER qualified choices since this is an employers market with so many people out of work. I love your products. Thank you.

Bought 1 bag of 60 lb mortar mix (4737667), sign said $2.00. Also got 6 bags of concrete mix 60lb quikrete (4737633), sign said $1.50. These where sitting outside, where on clearance. When at check out it rang up different price, informed the clerk
this was not right price. She called someone to check price, the person did not go outside to look at price but told her it was 2.35 for mortar and 2.99 for quikrete.
I ask for someone to go outside and check price but husband just said pay
for it. So we did. I’m upset that they would not go look for the price. I understood that the store was real busy, but I think they should either put the price in the register
right or they should go look as was asked. Bought 1 bag of 60 lb mortar mix
(4737667) was charged $2.35. Also 6 bags of concrete mix 60lb quikrete (4737633) was charged $2.99 per bag. So instead of the $11.00 plus tax, we paid 20.71 including tax.

I did not know if someone had come in and cut off the lights and I was about to be attacked, I am 67, scared me. I got up enough courage to find my way out and to the bathroom entrance. Needless to say I went to the front counter. They said corporate has the bathrooms on a timer for the lights. I feel after my experience that is not a good policy. I had to go outside and throw up. The whole thing was frighting, in my mind it was someone waiting for me to attack me. Please rethink this policy. Too many things bad things happening in this world and this could have been one in my opinion as I did not know about the store policy, there are no signs posted either. Thank you for your consideration in this matter. I hope you change this so the ladies lights remain on in the bathrooms.
Sincerely,
Brenda Jacks

Is anyone out there who participated in the DuMORChampions Club having difficulty trying to receive their gift card from Tractor Supply?
I keep getting the run around, and the operators I speak with (Christina) say they will call me back, and I don’t get a return call???
Why run a promotion if your NOT going to honor your agreement?
VERY FRUSTRATING!!!

Hi Samantha,
TS does have an store return policy where you can return the item you purchased for a full refund up to 30 days, after that the manufacture’s warranty kicks in and you contact them directly. I am a PT TS employee (3 years now). I’m not defending the poor treatment many here have spoken of, and no, I’m not from any of the stores mentioned above. I have a regular FT job, but love working at TS. I love the puppies that come in, our customers, and my co-workers. That said, I can tell you that we are always short handed and work like dogs. Usually we have 3 people covering the store. If one is on the register and the other is filling shelves with feed, doing load outs for customers, etc., then that leaves one to help every single person in the store. A customer interested in a pellet stove will pull that 3rd person off the floor for an hour. The cashier has to answer the phone which usually entails looking up items, checking for availability, holding items (and all this while not leaving the register), in addition to directing everyone who walks thru the door, and ringing up mile long lines of customers who ALL have items without prices, items that come up the wrong price, items they can’t fine and on and on it goes. I have never had any complaints from customers and I sincerely love helping them, but sometimes it is so overwhelming/demanding and you don’t know which end is up. To top it off, we’re paid close to minimum wage. Corporate TS demands excellence but gives nothing in return. Even the DM’s constantly critisize store personal. Praise and appreciation does NOT happen. Our DM has never even introduced himself to me. But, you get what you pay for and TS is sorely lacking in the management dept.

Hi Jesse. As a former employee I have to agree with you 100 percent. I also loved my coworkers and customers but could no longer support the corporate greed. Training is pathetic at best. It is sink or swim. You are lucky to have three on the floor. Most times we only had two. The store manager was great and is still running herself ragged due to the fact that she is also the acting assistant manager for more than a year now. Apparently corporate can’t make decision when it comes to an applicants qualifications. Everything I have read clearly points to serious issues in management at the corporate level not the store level. The attitude of some employees at the store level is a direct reflection of this.

A TSC employee left my husband a nasty phone message on October 9th, we were able to pick them up the 10th and my husband talked to the manager who defended his employee’s nasty message. Basically he was cold and said he didn’t believe my husband’s “story” about his mother’s death. Wow what a way to treat customers. We will never go back!

My husband and I have spent almost $2,000 at the TSC store in Greencastle, IN this year. We purchased pellets for our Pellet Stove in September and were required by TSC to have the picked up by October 1st. We did the best we could to pick them up on time, but our friends truck was in the shop and we do not have a truck big enough to haul 4- ton of pellets. To top it off, my husbands mother passed away and her showing and funeral were the last week of September. A TSC employee called my husband on

Today I went to the store in Vass, NC. I intended to buy a new trailer. I went inside to inquire about the purchase and was told to go to the “customer service” desk. There was another person being helped ahead of me, so I sat on a stack of feed in front of the desk. After sitting for at least 10 minutes, another person came up to the desk. The “customer service” person started interacting with him. I said excuse me, but I had been waiting for awhile, and she smiled, ignored me completely, and helped the third person. If this is customer service, maybe that definition should be changed in entirety. I asked for the manager and was told she was off today. I tried to call the “customer service” line and listened to bad elevator music for way too long.
This is completely inappropriate behavior for any one working in any store.
I not only will not be buying a trailer there (well over $1000, I will never darken the door of another Tractor Supply store again.

I was at the Dothan alabama store and had to get horse feed.A young man named Cody [james] I asked for his last name to be able to give this review. He was the most professional, hardworking young man. he said” I’ll put it in your vehicle” so he goes up front, while I pay. in the meantime 2 ladies snatched him over to the stall mat’s,so Bless his heart he’s just a wrestling those stall mats and loading them, all the while he was smiling and professional.I laughed to myself ,because it was sooo darn cute, and sweet ,how hard he worked, with such a Excellent attitude, I just had to send praise about this kid. Im old enough to be his mother.I’d be proud to have a son like that, and the store is Blessed to have him there. thankyou. KUDO’S to cody, Great JOB Young man.

The manager at your Dalton Ga. store….Al, I think. ..is the rudest person I have ever had to deal with in my life. I will never do business with Tractor Supply again!

I called today to inquire about a part for a mower purchased from your company. I work hard and try to buy locally and support our community. I often shop in your Follansbee, WV location and have purchased all my equipment there. However, it is always difficult to receive assistance in timely manner. Often there is no attendant up front and if you need assistance you must hunt for an associate. I’m really disappointed that we cannot do business together!! I have spent thousands on the products you provide and used to recommend you to friends and neighbors. I also have a small farm in Tennessee where I will let friends and neighbors aware of your unprofessionalism.I never use a computer often, but this promted my attention and would welcome a response via e-mail. this is the message I sent to Behrens….
My name is Cheryl Zornes and I had just left a message with your Mary Jo at 507-454-4664 in regards to this Behrens utility pan 3 gal. capacity that I had purchased from the Maysville, Ky Tractor Supply store on Saturaday Aug. 10th,2013. I took said pan out and rinsed it out and filled it with fresh water for my pets to drink out of while they were outside with us, and within 30 to 45 minutes after drinking out of this pan they all THREE started to have violent seizures and had to be rushed to the emergency vet’s in Wilder, Ky. Of the three my little Cairn Terrier is better and was able to come home the next day after IV and monitoring him through the night, but, my husky mix and his daughter are still hospitalized and may not make it through this. I believe that my Male (Bandit) is now blind due to the seizures and high temps from the seizures and can only hold his head up, still unable to get up and walk or stand, and my Girl (Snoopette) is about the same as Bandit, but, I believe she can see. They both can hold their heads up to look around but are no where near healthy….After several people walking my property finding nothing and a couple of days to re-step everything that could have been the problem, Your pan was the only common thing that all three babies had been in contact with outside. And with in 30 to 45 minutes of drinking out of it were violently ill. Now, Dr. Biddle has send off blood work from both ill pets to see what might have been the problem and we hope to get test back on 8-15 or 8-16 as to what it might have been the toxin that they have come into contact with. I do not use anything toxic close to any of my animals. I am not blaming your product at this time but I would like you to pull it from all the shelves until test results come back to make sure this does not happen to anyone else’s beloved pets. These dogs are my family and are better behaved than most peoples kids. We are already into the vet bills for well over $2,000 and may still have to have them put down due to the extent of the toxin coating these said pans.
Please feel free to contact me about this matter.
Thank You

To Whom It May Concern, On Tueday July 9, 2013 at approx. 10 am; my plans were to shop at the Jackson ,Ca. store, as I was finishing up fencing 15 acres of my 40 acres located in Mokelumne Hill ,Ca. I found 5 stock gates in the outside yard, and proceeded to purchase these gates; when I was told by the cashier; “Those gates are sold; 3 of them”, I asked; “whyi weren’t there sold signs on these gates?”. The cashier was rude, and could care less about me purchasing the gates, and did not offer to help me at all. First of all, you all lost a sale that day of approx $1,500.00 , as my plan was to purchase more than the stock gates. I have 30 more acres to fence ; however, Lowe’s in Jackson was more than willing to assist me ;and gave me 10% off my purchase for that day. I am sure that you all do not want this kind of image for the new Jackson store. ??

I went to the tractor store on monday 6/9/13 to purchase a 10’x10′ $69.99 canopy that was on sale, the manager named “Jim” informed me that they were out of stock and wouldn’t be getting anymore in, but I could buy the floor model at the same price.
I asked for a discount because it was missing the box, ect. Jim declined any type of incentive to purchase it, feeling a take it or leave it attitude, I left the store with no intention of returning!
Wednesday morning I called again to see if it was still available (floor model) to purchase for a friend who works in the hot sun all day at his home repairing auto’s without shade. The clerk who answered the phone named “Marilyn” told me the item was still available for sale and could hold it for me. I go in an hour later and they are packing it up for me, wrong! Jim informed me they were holding it for another customer and they wouldn’t sell it to me, and ” you should have bought it, the other day!” with the same cold and haha attitude he had shown me before. I think this guy needs to learn a few skills in customer service and how he is working as a manager to make sales, not piss of the customers with his demeaning and non-caring attitude. So my friend and neighbor are not going back for good this time. Ha Ha Jim!

Today 5-17-2013 me and my family was in tractor supply store located in muskogee Oklahoma approx 12:00. We never complain about anything, but the service was awful! There were employees (two ladies) were loudly arguing, we stood at the register a long time before anyone would wait on us, and once this not so friendly lady got to the registers, she refused to out our tax id number un because “it would take too long”. We will never do business there again. Your prompt attention on this matter is needed. Thank you!

I purchased an air compressor at Tractor Supply in Louisa, Ky. Store number is 1337. I purchased it on Febuary 9, 2013. I have used it a total of three times on the third time. The air compressor wouldnt work. I took the air compressor back to try to exchange it. I didn’t ask for my money back I only asked for an exchange. I was told you can’t exchange we have a 30 day in store policy and I was like there is nothing on my receipt about a 30 in store policy and I was told oh, its on our counters. So now im stuck with a $400 dollar air compressor that doesn’t work and has hardly been used.
