The Casbah was founded in San Diego, California, in 1989 by current CEO and owner Tim Mays, Bob Bennett, and Peter English. The company operates a nightclub/music venue with live entertainment.
The original site had seating for only 75 persons, and in 1994 the club moved a few blocks down the street to a new location offering seating for 200.
