Brigham’s Ice Cream was founded in 1914 by Edward Brigham in Massachusetts. At one time, the original ice cream parlor, located in Newton Highlands, was so popular that it became overrun with customers on the weekends. The police were often called to help control the crowds that were fighting to get inside.
The company has continued to grow and expand over the years. In 1993, Brigham’s Ice Cream purchased Elans Frozen Yogurt, which added to its already appealing menu. At its peak, the company had 100 locations. Brigham’s Ice Cream was purchased by HP Hood LLC. Approximately 21 locations were sold to New England Food Service, LLC. HP Hood owns the rights to the name and ice cream recipes. HP Hood now sells Brigham’s Ice Cream via supermarkets and specialty stores.
In 2014, the company celebrated its 100th year anniversary.

I always loved Brigham‘s ice cream especially just Jimmy’s. Oh I am sorry I cannot see that anymore just sprinkles which there was lots of sprinkles, and/or Jimmy’s and your vanilla ice cream. Now I find sparse amount of sprinkles and extremely disappointed and I believe I’m going to stop buying Brigham‘s ice cream with that was my number one flavor and you took away the Jimmy’s and you took away the sprinkles. Congratulations you lost a dedicated customer help others reply on this I’m sure the corporate saved about $.12 per container so yay profits go up and customers get screwed once again thank you

I used to love Brigham’s ice cream growing up. It was also my moms! I recently had brighams when I visited Massachusetts recently. When I got back to Florida I looked for stores that might sell it but found there’s none in the whole state. What a waste! Now I have to wait another year before I can buy some !!!!! Please sell in Florida (especially Southwest Florida)!!!!

I also feel that the Frozen Pudding Ice Cream (that I wait all year for,) is very different this year. Less fruit and Rum? Are you using a new copacker or did you change the recipe? I thought it might have just been my taste buds, but my other family members feel the same way. It’s disappointing.

In December 2020 I purchased some Brigham’s Frozen Pudding ice cream. It was different than the Brigham’s Frozen Pudding I purchased other years. The most recent container had limited or very little fruit in it.
Prior to December 2020 I really enjoyed the Brigham’s Frozen Pudding because of the abundant amount of cherries, raisins, pineapple, and many other types and pieces of fruit through the container of ice cream. HAS THE RECIPE CHANGED?
Can I still purchase Brigham’s Frozen Pudding now in January or February as it was made prior to this holiday season? If so, what stores sell this product?

Why does Brighams only sell Frozen Pudding ice cream in the winter months?? It’s Ice cream and my favorite all months not just Holiday time! I see Peppermint all the time and that should be switched to Holidays because of candy canes being peppermint please reconsider making FrozennPudding in the Somerset MA stores Shaws, Stop and Shop and Fall River MA Market Basket PLEASE!!

Brigham’s Ice Cream, is probably the #1 ice cream on the market….I love the Mocha Chip. I have also tried Strawberry (choc. covered), which I purchased for the second time. This time there were only two strawberries, and the rest was chipped chocolate. I was very disappointed with it! I have always had wonderful results with the Mocha Chip…..I usually do not like Strawberry, but my granddaughter does. I will not buy this one again. That is my only complaint so far!! It is more expensive than other products (ice cream), and worth it. This time not so much…..I will continue to buy the Mocha Chip……P.S. I think you should make German Chocolate Cake….one of my favorites in Ice Cream shops….. Keep that one in mind!! ha-ha Thank, you, Val
