All I can say is WOW! Management at Sanderson Farms in Palestine does not care about their employees. My fiance is a driver there and his dad had a stroke and his boss told him he could leave. He had already put in 7 hours, so he took it as it was fine to go be with his dad, only to find out when he came back to work on Monday he was approached by another manager to sign 2 write up and then they suspended for a week. When he questioned this to another supervisor, he was told that since he didn’t work the full day they they marked him absent all day. Then he tries to explain to them that he had permission from his supervisor, who is now ducking and dodging him, that he could leave. BUT If you make one chicken run and offer to give the rest of your loads away you can go home and enjoy your day with your family even though they only work 2 hours. That driver that gave his loads away will not be counted absent for that day. Hmmmmmm. How is that even fair?? Oh that’s right….IT’S NOT! Is corporate even reading these comments? Where is the CEO, CFO, and COO? They need to start looking in to what is really going on. There is no open door policy. How can there be when you send your transmanager text messages and voice messages over and over and still have not heard anything from the transmanager is over a week. This place is a JOKE!!!! There needs to be real management in charge. People are dropping like flies at Sanderson Farms in Palestine, Save yourself and do not work there.

Hi, I would like to file a complaint on one of your independent contractors through Sanderson Farm. The lady that is contracted through your company name is Angie, she never gave a last name. I currently work under her and I have not been paid on regular payday which is on every other Saturday. Angie was supposed to pay us on 4/13/2019. She has been giving us the run around all weekend saying she was going to bring the money and never showed up. None of the employees have been paid except for her family members. I do not want to disclose my name due to retaliation at work from Angie. Angie has been known to skip out on paying previous employees and terminate employees that try to get their money that is owed to them. You will see that the employees will be filing a complaint on her on 4/16/2019 for non payment. We have bills to pay and we cannot due to her not paying us. We are trying to handle this in a discreet professional manner. If we cannot get our money that is owed, we will go to the local news station KBTX. I would like for someone to reach out to us to help us get the money that is owed to us. Thank You

I’m at a loss for words with the comments I have read. Reason being, cause I can relate. I hit finished my 90 days at Sanderson farm in Palestine Texas and trust me it wasn’t easy. I’m 50 years old and felt like a 2year old after the way Fernando talked to me yesterday. He was rude and very disrespectful. The management there has no integrity about themselves. Whatever happened to “if you take care of your employees, they will take care of you”? Not!! How can y’all allow this type of behavior from upper management. I was literally in tears. Do yallbeven care about we are being treated? Y’all say your a fortune 1000 company. But y’all management don’t act like it. Your CEO. CFO. COO should be ashamed. If it wasn’t for us, the real workers Sanderson farm wouldn’t exist. It’s horrible to go to work and not knowing if you gonna have a job or not because management is in a bad mood. That’s crazy!!They don’t give a damn about you being sick or have family issues,for god sakes we are human things happens. I was termed on 8/22/18 due to having to many points (6). Me being hospitalized due to swelling of my intestines i applied for FMLA but was denied they said my doctor had the wrong dates but i was hospitalized while i was on vac my vacation was from 7-2-18 to 7-6-18 so how can they firer me and give me points for being on vacation, i called in everyday i had all my notes but I was told my doctor put something or dates on my note that was grounds of termination Im just not understanding this I had no other problems no issues I loved my job , I need my job I have 2 daughters that I have to support but this is BS

Well I was strolling along and stumbled across this page and thought id add my two cents. not that it really matters now, because i quit already. But this is how it goes. Sanderson Farms is the worst place that i have ever worked at and I do mean the worst. The pay is good but all the bull crap they put you thru is unbelievable. First off they tell you time and time again that SAFETY is important, yet when it comes to chain gloves that fit, FORGET IT. They are too big for the females and fall off. All of them are ripped and torn. When it comes to getting new aprons, well you can just FORGET THAT TOO, no matter how badly they are ripped, your not getting one. Sharp scissors, a thing of the past. They can, but wont even try to supply the necessary equipment to even try to make our jobs easier and safer. I chose to quit because the conditions there are just awful. I remember one time this girl nearly cut her finger off. They washed the line down with just water and she went to the nurse they glued her shut and put her back on line. Really? How is that for safety or sanitary? What about when the tender clippers get behind because the ones before them cant hold their part down and chicken falls all on the floor. Nothing on the lines are sanitary. People sneeze on the product and cough. They don’t wash their hands the proper way just get them wet and move on. Why? Because they have supervisors yelling they gonna write you up if your late on the line. When you need some help and call upon a sup they look you dead in the eyes and walk off. Straight up ignore you but somehow its our fault when s**t happens. I can go on and on. So to spare you some stress DO NOT WORK HERE. Take it from me I was there a year and a half. It nearly killed me.

Well i work in the kinston. Feed mill. As a driver and all we get is bs from management here and told we must work every weekend but let something happen to your truck and it need to go to the shop. There mechanics want the great pay but not earn it by really working for it the truck i drive they messed up and now dont want to fix it and its costing me money so im looking for another job as well as about ten other drivers. Manage just want listen to us nor do anything about it

First let me tell you that your chicken is far better than any other.
Now let me say that the last few packages of breast that we bought at WINCO have had many bruises and blood spots on the inside. You could not see this in the package, but when opened there were more than ever before. Your people are packing them without inspection. We used to buy our chicken from COSTCO but want to use SANDERSON.
I will try again, but if this continues, reluctantly I will have to shop for another brand.

Id look around for a better product out there that takes pride in their product and doesn’t make the employees angry all the time that they don’t care about how your product comes to you. Its very sad when a company is money hungry that they push you to hard for quantity and not so much quality. I can just about grantee that your chicken hit the floor a few times.

Hi I’m Shankendra Shelto,I was terminate on last Thursday cause my supervisor Mr.Scott said that I left without permission but it was the end of the night for us to leave then he told the Jason McQueen that he came to me personally and told me that I had to stay which he didn’t I didn’t hear him say stay at all and cause wen they had got tagged up I wasn’t in the plant u was talking my hearing test and signing for my day and the human resource so I just fell like I shouldn’t been terminated if I didn’t know nothing bout staying after work cause it was more then me left that night . plus my supervisor Mr.Scott been showing alot of favoritism and I don’t think it right I already wasn’t getting a full rotation he seems not to care I think he specifically had it out for me. I was terminated on 11/15/2016 for calling a person I have been nicked picked on since ive been at Sanderson “petty” in other words childish. All because I show him no attention. He told me to put my gloves on because i was moving trays with chicken in them. I was getting ready to go to break so i told the female that was standing around that he is always bothering me & that he is very petty. He got mad because i was laughing at the way he handled the situation, he literally tagged the trays that i touched & said that i would be terminated. So he goes to hr and have 2 witnesses saying that i called him f****** petty & i was terminated. There were only 1 witness around. I went to Sanderson 11/17 to talk to someone about my termination & Ben told me that he would look further into the situation by goin back & looking at the camera which i feel should of been did first. I havent heard anything from hr. My termination was handled incorrectly and I would like my job back I was physically and verbally mistreated by the lady in HR. I was suspended 5 days before this incident for reporting to hr that an employee literally told me she would beat my yu know what because I didn’t have enough trays to give her. I told the lady in hr that I did leave my work area to try to explain to the female why I couldn’t share my trays that I went to the back to get, but she was so loud and upset with me so I just went back to my area & after my line stopped I went to HR. This incident was handled unfairly & I feel like they put both incidents together & they are completely different. I loved my job and working for Sanderson but I was truly mistreated.
