I had the worst experience today speaking with the manager. I was a customer and when I moved I called to disconnect my service. I was advised the customer representative not to pay the final bill because the balance was going to come out of my deposit. So I didn’t make a payment due to the representative advise. I called to resolve the issue I spoke to the manager that was completely unreasonable. She was putting blame on me the customer that your customer service agent provided the wrong information and now I’m being charged a return check fee by your company. It’s a disgrace how your manager speaks to the customer. You records calls why not pull the call and hear how your agent miss informed me. I’m not paying for your company mistake. I will never again live in a place that requires your services

I am trying to speak with Mr. Rabil regarding some issues. That was impossible to speak with anyone, including an operator. Two questions: Why is FPL lowering their rates because it was reported on the new their operating costs have reduced, yet TECO said no reduction in cost. Last June I used 25% less energy than this June but my bill went up about $40.
Why are voltages levels fluctuating at my home. The AC technician said as he installed an outside surge protector at my unit (recommended by the engineer at Meter-Treater, Inc) when I filed a claim because of the two power outages in my area two weeks in a row, that caused a surge (even though I have a ZapCap) that cause my hard start to blow.
When calling TECO, no one wants to say what causes these power outages. So much for transparency.
Lastly, your crew might want to continue cutting the branches off the power line on Bruce B. Downs.
After reading Sam’s comment from 2017, seems like things haven’t changed. Are the two big increases you are charging customers have anything to do with the new high rise office building TECO is building in Tampa?

I own a school next to TECO lot and they tell me I can not go on TECO property but the grass is VERY high and the grass and vines are growing on my fence and we need it removed for the safety of the kids and they wont come an maintain the property, Now I pay my bill every month this is sad that they just over talk people and don’t take care of the property. Come and take care of your property if anyone can help me with this please let me know….

I called about my bill bing $ 9.00 more. I first had to get through the phone maze. When i finally got someone, they read off a bunch of bs about bill.
Tried to ntell me used more gas, I tried to explain I just purchased a new/washer dryer. Thry are energy effecient.
I asked if someone could check my gas line, the rep juast kept talking. terrible service. Budget billing is a joke, My bill wnt up $ 10.00 than a 1/4 yr $ 9.00 raise. I live alone, I have paid my bill on time. all I received was a higher billing and terible service. Wish there was another company!

Absolutely the worst experience after Hurricane Irma. Usually I am a patient person but this was awful. Teco came and turned on half of my street the back half was left in the dark but was reported to have power. Lineman came down and instead of flipping the arm up told us it was after 6:30 pm and someone would be out in the morning. That was 3 days ago. Begged a lineman who was less than 50 yards away today to please flip our transformer on and we were told that it wasn’t their job probably another crew. I contacted teco by Facebook messenger and begged for help as my husband’s ivs for his heart have to be refrigerated and was told to seek a medical facility. Unbelievable the lack of customer service and absolute neglect of customers. You have cost me an additional $100.00 in gas for a generator since the front half of my road was lit along with over $500.00 of groceries and meat between my fridge, freezer and deep freezer. Will you be cutting a check for these unnecessary expenses or crediting my account?

As Teco energy is always trying to find a consumer the best way to save on energy. In 2010 I had paid a corporation through Teco Energy list for various things. I had CALDECO company come out and seal any duct so that there would be no leaks up in my attic. I just had an electrician up on Tuesday in my attic and I was horrified to find out that half of my duck work had never been sealed nor was it even connected to the deck box that distributes it to the rest of the bedrooms. So from 2010 until 2017 I had been air-conditioning my attic which is not a livable space. I sent an email to a Mr. VOLLM ER on Tuesday and no reply as of yet. I also sent two photos of what the electrician had also taken for me while he was in the attic. I also used a list that you had gave me for installation. In the photo you will see there is no insulation around that ductwork as well. Maybe your corporation needs to have somebody that goes and follows that behind these companies. I had new windows put in and never got a discount for that sent in what Home Depot did with forms for discount. I even used your services for my gas water heater and those guys even mangled the stack that goes up to the roof .
If you’re going to offer something and discounts you need to have an inspector who will at least go behind These companies that you’re backing up.

Your company turned off service while sending bills to an address I haven’t lived at in over 6 months. I’ve been on the phone for over an hour . No one is helping me!!!! This is outrageous!!! And is illegal.

My lights have been cut off approximately 6 days before the final notice date! Call into the absolutely unprofessional, rude, customer service number! I was completely brushed off! This was a person whom recognized herself as a supervisor placed me on hold and NEVER GOT BACK ON THE PHONE!

Hi. My name is Sam Dehghani and I live at XXXX in Wesley Chapel. I have been experiencing power outages since about 8 PM this evening. The power will not come back on until 3:30 AM according to the last update.
Why this has happened is really besides the point .TECO has over and over showed that it is an incompetent energy company and all throughout the year I have experienced power surges. TECO is not doing enough to update it infrastructure. I am extremely unhappy with TECO and what happened tonight is just adding fuel to the fire.
What is TECO doing to compensate the citizens that went through this terrible experience? And don’t tell me all they can do is an apology.what are they doing monetary wise to compensate citizens for this on inexcusable lengthy outage ?
