Birdseye made a new company for his fish freezing process called General Seafood Corporation. This was sold to Goldman Sachs in 1929 for $22 million.
General Seafood was later changed to General Foods, who created the Birdseye company, which Clarence oversaw. He continued to work for the company, researching on how to better freeze foods for the best flavor.
The company was sold several times over the years, most recently in 2010 to Pinnacle Foods.
Today, Birdseye is best known for frozen vegetables and frozen meal packages, such as frozen mixed vegetables, chicken and rice dinners, as well as frozen vegetables made to look and taste like pasta and rice. These low carb vegetable/pasta meals have become very popular in recent years, jumping on the Keto diet craze.
In July of 2018, Conagra purchased Pinnacle Foods, including the Birdseye group, for nearly $11 billion. It is unknown if Conagra will move company headquarters to another location.
At this time, Birdseye corporate office remains in Darien, Wisconsin.

I recently found a unknown contaminant in my frozen corn. I always follow the directions and steam it inside the bag. Once I open the bag I found what looked like a cooked bug I called the company and filed a complaint. Then informed me I will be getting an email and to send the pics I never got the email. I’m a long-time customer Birdseye they sent me a four dollar coupon and that’s it. I will no longer buy anything made by Birdseye and I recommend everybody should open the package and inspect the vegetables very thoroughly. I just dumped $50 worth of product is it the trash for their companies quality control and respect of customers is very low. I will be posting on social media pictures and the minimum way they try to resolve found contaminants.

Pat, BIRDSEYE WAS SILENT DURING THAT LONG DRAWN OUT PROCESS. THE ONLY THING THE RESIDENTS SAW FROM HER WAS HER VOTE. The big voice was now councilmember Young. Now Vice Mayor Young and Mayor Patterson are full backers of candidate Birdseye. Mayor Patterson even walks the precincts with candidate Birdseye. Candidate Birdseye was on the Steering committee with you and Vice Mayor Young of the PDB which I add Socialist to. Birdseye did step down for the duration of the campaign. By the way the PDB voted in a close vote to support candidate Birdseye and not Strawbridge. If it was so close a vote why not support both. Simple reason the PDB want the third vote on council so the council will now have a majority council run by a shadow government. CBR is a dead i9ssue. The big issue the city of Benicia faces is financial stability.. Candidate Birdseye is apparently clueless on that fact. Her big issue is clean air and water. I think you will find out that we have clean air and water in spite of what the PDB say. Candidate Birdseye says she is not anti fossil fuel nor anti Valero. Could of fooled me. She runs around town with the mayor who is both and a huge supporter of candidate Birdseye. Candidate Birdseye is all talk with no solutions just words.
