Stop & Shop can trace its roots back to 1892 when Solomon and Jeanie Rabinovitz opened their first produce store near Boston, called “The Greenie Store”. This location closed in 1908 but the Rabinovitz family opened another store in Somerville, Massachusetts, called Economy Grocery Store. Like the original, this store began by selling produce, but quickly added other food items, such as milk and meats. By 1917, the company had 15 locations.
Even during the Great Depression, Stop & Shop continued to be successful. By 1929, the company had 435 stores. The company name was officially changed to Stop & Shop in 1945. By 1949, the company was reaching $50 million in revenue.
Stop & Shop entered the Rhode Island and Connecticut markets in the early 1950s, New York in the early 1960s, and New Jersey in the late 1960s. In 1972, the company built the most technically sophisticated meat processing and distribution plant in its time in Marlboro, Massachusetts.
In 1982, the company built its first superstore in Springfield, Massachusetts. These Superstores were between 45,000 square feet and 80,000 square feet. In addition to traditional supermarket offerings, these stores featured bakeries, pharmacies, moderate selections of general merchandise one would not expect to find at a supermarket, such as hardware items or socks, expanded deli departments, cafes, and a salad bar. Some of these stores would also contain a bank, expanded liquor sections, along with beer, and video rentals.
In 1995, the company was acquired by Dutch company Ahold and acts as a subsidiary.
In 2007, Stop & Shop asked customers to submit stories and videos regarding their shopping experience as a means of promoting the value and camaraderie of shopping at their stores. The company introduced a smartphone app, along with a loyalty program and coupons in 2010.
The company launched its own Facebook page in 2013.
In December 2022, the company began selling fresh food items that were close to their expiration date via the FlashFood app.
The company currently has 422 locations and employs approximately 82,000 employees. Annual revenue for Stop & Shop was $15.2 billion. Headquarters remain in Quincy, Massachusetts.

I went to my local stop and shop store this past Saturday morning to get a lighter. I was doing laundry in the same plaza so I ran over. I got a few items and went to the self check out. The cashier over seeing the registers was standing by her register. I paid and left. Ad soon as I got outside I realized I didn’t get the lighter. I went back into the store and went up and down a few isles but couldn’t find the lighters. I then asked a store employee where they kept the lighters and she told me they were at the courtesy booth. So I proceeded to the courtesy Booth where I bought a two pack of Bic lighters. When leaving the store I stopped basically in front of the self checkout which was on the opposite side of the store and see it’s open my lighters. The cashier who was overseeing the self-pay registers walked up to me snatched the lighters out of my hands and said this is not going to happen in front of me! I said what are you talking about I’m not going to smoke in the store. I thought she thought I was going to light a cigarette in the store. Then she said no you’re stealing these lighters and that’s not going to happen! I was shocked! Everybody in self checkout was looking at us. I felt so embarrassed! I asked her what aisle are the lighters in in the store? I said do you even know what I owe the letters are in? Since I stole these letters where did I get them from? I told her the only place you can buy lighters from is that the courtesy Booth so how did I steal the lighters? I then gave her my receipt from self checkout and my receipt from the courtesy booth and said here I’m not a thief! She looked at least the receipt handed it back to me turned around and walked away! Never said she was sorry, nothing! I was extremely upset not to mention embarrassed! I spoke to the manager and he agreed that that was definitely inappropriate she should have not taken anything out of my hands and he was going to speak to her! If she would asked me for receipt, I would understand! But to walk up to me and just snatch my property right out of my hands and then not even apologize for her actions it’s just unacceptable!

Had something similar happen to me at a Framingham branch of S&S. A young female manager grabbed my carriage to stop me. I stopped so abutptly the handle bar rammed my stomach right where I have a hernia. I let out a yelp said you made me bump my hernia. No apology from her. She then said Did you pay for these? I had 2 bags of groceries. I showed her my receipt. She was very panicked looking. Talking fast. Like she was on something. They must really be desperate for help if they’re hiring people like this.

Hello, last Thursday, I ordered a dozen long-stemmed pink roses for my Mother’s grave and 3 individual potted plants for other graves as well. I placed the order and paid for it online so I would secure my choices. Two days later, on Mother’s Day, I went to our local Stop and Shop to pick up the order and called from my vehicle as directed. They took my information and about 5 minutes lady, a young lady came out with a clipboard in her hand telling me they literally had no more flowers. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing! Mother’s Day is hard enough without my Mom and to think I was doing the right thing and saving time, I was mistaken. You would think as they receive the orders, they would fulfill at that time. Never, ever, ever AGAIN will I order online from them. Also, I very, very rarely shop at Stop and Shop, now I know why. No system! I will continue to support the smaller grocery stores near me. I disliked Stop and Shop before and now I really don’t like them at all. I had to run around with my 95 year old Dad trying to find flowers for him and myself to put on my Mom’s and grandparents graves. What a shame when this could have been avoided.

Loved Stop and Shop in NJ but I’m done! At least four times in as many months I’ve had to throw out food I purchased from their Keyport NJ location. I opened a package of chicken with an expiration date that was at least 4 days away and the smell was horrendous. I purchased strawberries that looked wonderful but after opening all the ones on the bottom were rotten. I purchased 3 bags of spring salad mix for a dinner party and after opening the first two bags which were saturated, smelly and wilted…I just threw out the third bag. And last but not least…I bought 2 pounds of chop meat that looked red and fresh to find grey smelly meat below the top layer.
Food is expensive and so is my time. I will not be shopping there again. After many, many, years I have to move on to ShopRite. Tired of wasting my time and money.

I’m a Hispanic female, I usually shop at your store in Stratford Ct. but on 11/08/2021 1:01 p.m. I decided to go to the Stop & Shop on 1360 East Town Rd Milford CT 06460 since I was in the area. I picked the items and went to self check out as I always do, as. Soon as I got to the self check out the person the person the front end went right next to me watching me altho there where other ppl self checking out she just concentrated on storing at me, Once I scan all my items I puled my coupons out and she went and snatched them from my hands, I had no idea what was going on since this never happen in any store before, she started telling me there was problem with coupons and she needs to bring my coupons to be inspected by the manager, I told her how did she know there was a problem with my coupons since she didn’t even give me a chance to even scan them, she ran with my coupons not sure where, when she comes back she is yelling very loud that some of my dove coupons where fraudulent, copied etc, everyone was looking at me, I was so embarrassed by her accusations and asked her to explain to me what made her think that my coupons where fraudulent since I got them from the manufacture itself, she did’t explain took my stuff out and said I couldn’t use them. She actually referred to me as a thief with no merit nor explanation, I was so humiliated, she is White and although I’m Hispanic and spoke to her in English, she started saying words in Spanish like I did not understand the English language and I don’t speak Spanish. I asked her why she was been nasty and rude, she responded with just pay and started hitting the pay option on my screen, my point of going to self check out isn’t to be bothered and also because of covid-19 precautions but she took it upon herself to go on my register and harass me because I look different than all the regular customers and employees in that store. I called the store after I left to complain because I wouldn’t want any other person that they feel looks different than them aren’t treated the way I was treated/ like an alien and a thief. I refuse to be a victim of racist ignorant ppl but I would never shop at your stores again, I’ am writing so no-one else is humiliated and treated the way I was treated. I did go back to show the manager that was there my coupon so she can explain about the accusation and how she figured my coupon was fraudulent and the manager looked at them and said no those are good, do you want together the products? My response was NO it was the point anymore about the savings it was about the attack on me. I will send you a copy of my coupons so you can see for yourself, I will also report to BBB and every website I get a chance to let ppl know how racist and uneducated your employees are at your 1360 East Town Road in Milford unless that person is disciplined and sought how to treat customers of different race. Shoprite would be my family store for now on!! I send you guys a private email but haven’t gotten an apology nor response, that’s the reason I decided to post it here, I hope Hispanics stay away from these stores unless want to be treated the way I was.

I’m stuck at the Watchung, NJ @StopandShop because of the hurricane. Roads aren’t passable. I was hoping the manager/employees wouldn’t kick out the few people stuck since they themselves have to stay over night but no such luck. They kicked us out despite the national emergency and no one is supposed to be on the road. Manager said I’d have to wait outside. Nice, huh? Hope to be able to make it home soon enough. #stopandshop

Stop and shop in Bouth Boston Massachusetts takes advantage of workers with autism. My son is a victim of this. They used his disability to convince him to do jobs that were not his to do for his 6 years there. Recently he had a problem where 3 of his teeth were broken and was in too much pain to work. He could barely talk so he texted he would be out for a while due to pain and many dentists visits. They fired him and are withholding money that is owed to him. So many years of them taking advantage of his kindness they do this to him. I know for a fact they just didn’t want a person with a disability working in their store. But I will get them trust and believe I will. Shame on you south boston Massachusetts stop and shop.

I want to thank Stop and Shop… I signed my uncle (an Army veteran) up for the Blue Star family pantry food giveaway.. I was able to sign up my mom and my aunt…(his older sisters). They went to a food giveaway at the Local VA hospital ..and came back with tons of food… my aunt was so happy and appreciated that I signed her up… then they filled out a survey and received a 50.00 stop&shop giftcard a few weeks later!… they were elated. We shop at Stop and Shop all the time and the giftcards came in so handy as my mom really does live on a fixed income. I cant thank you enough..and as a social worker for the students of NYC.. I do look forward to working of possible with stop and shop to help fight hunger… I would love to sit down and share some ideas I have with what we could partner to do in the community. We have 2 stop and shop locations within walking distance of my school.

Stop and Shop in Hicksville, NY has the best staff hands down. Stephanie Wooten at the front end helps everyone without complaint and knows how to do what’s required of her position and so much more. Waldeleine also works in the front end and she just has so much patience even when the store is very busy. She is kind and helpful whenever she is needed. Their store manager Anne does not play around and takes her role there serious by achieving the store’s goals and ensuring her employees are treated well. The store is always stocked to the best ability and the front end staff are professional. I always have an awesome experience each time I shop there even though I see customer’s who lose their patience and does not understand the severity of Covid at this time. Thank you all for doing your best. 5 thumbs up

I politely requested that Stop&Shop pharmacy remove my phone number out of their system so the automated system (that was never setup properly not randomly call me) The first employee started freaking out when I made the request. The second employee indicated that they cleared my phone number from the pharmacy. And that if I’m still receiving automated calls it’s because numbers are incorporated into Stop&Shop headquarters and headquarters themselves need to remove personal information not pharmacy. Those automated system calls regardless of any store that uses the system is defective. And calls customers with the wrong information. Customers really don’t appreciate being run around when they don’t necessarily have to be. But corporations do it anyway, proves just how desperate corporations need to get a hobby

On Dec. 19, 2020, I went to S&S in Seekonk, MA, to use my rewards for food shopping. Seeing that it was a tight week, using the rewards would be helpful. At the register, my app would not come up and I explained that I wanted to use my rewards. The cashier had no idea what to do and the supervisor (?) with her told me I can not use them because I have to pull them up 20 minutes beforehand. I tried to get an explanation as to why, no one could tell me. I returned my bag of groceries. The CSR phone the night manager and they refunded me my money and sent me on my way.
I then drove over to the East Providence, RI, location, pulled up my app and shopped for a 1/2 hour. I went to cash in my rewards and AGAIN, the cashier had no idea what to do. Another supervisor (?) came over and told me that I had to pull up my rewards 8-12 HOURS beforehand. AGAIN, I had to return my groceries, they sent me on my way.
On Dec. 21, 2020, I called the customer service line and spoke with a young man who told me that either market could have adjusted my rewards, given me the difference back, basically either market could have resolved this problem with other than taking back my groceries and sending me on my way. All I wanted was a call back from either location to explain how under-trained the employees were. I did not receive a call that day.
On Dec 22, 2020, I called again and spoke to a woman named Renee. I went through the whole story and asked that a manager or DISTRICT manager contact me. She said she would put the request through to all parties. I did not receive a call that day.
On Dec. 23, 2020, I called customer service again and spoke to a woman named Samantha. Explaining the whole story again, she said that Renee did not put the request through for me to be contacted and that Renee must be new and not know what she was doing. I just wanted a call back. I did not receive a call back. That night I ended up travelling a 1/2 hour out of my way, 8:30 pm, to go to another location in Somerset, MA. They couldn’t be any nicer to me. I told them of my experience. They were surprised.
I waited until this morning, Dec 29, 2020, and called customer service again. I believe her name was Dominique(?). I explained the whole story to her and she berated me and accused of me “wanting to get the associates in trouble.’ She proceeded to tell me “You got your money back. There’s no problem. What is it that you want? A gift card? More money? You just trying to people in trouble?’
I told her I just wanted a call back as it is a TRAINING ISSUE. She continued to accuse me of trying to “get something” out of the company and “get someone in trouble.”
I never sought any kind of monetary compensation for this. This person was accusing me and giving me such a bad attitude and was argumentative on top of it. She asked if I had called the store itself.
I hung up on her as I was tired of listening to her argue with and berate me. I then called the Seekonk, MA, store and I spoke to a manager named, John, and told him the whole story. He was mortified that his location was part of the problem and what I went through to let someone know what had happened. At the end of our conversation, he suggested I called the CSR department and speak to a manager there.
This dreadful experience has shown me two sides of this corporation. The sneaky, lazy, negative side and the proper, professional side. All I can say is “WOW! You people at the top need to open your eyes to the inexperienced, discourteous, minimally trained people you have representing your company.

I completely understand your frustrations!!!!! I am a disabled senior who is having more & more trouble getting around to do things like Grocery shopping; I am less than a mile from your Pennington, NJ store & have been asking for OVER TWO YEARS when will Stop & Shop accept the NJ SNAP food stamp card for either DELIVERIES or PICK UPS; I am still working on it; IT’S BEEN IN CORPORATE’S HANDS ; IT’S THEIR DECISION. I WAS TOLD THAT YOUR TECH DEPT WASN’T VERY GOOD: I AGREE!!!!!!!! I guess if it’s taken you this long , YOU DON”T CARE about Customer Service AT ALL!!!!!!! So since Aldi’s both deliver & accept the NJ SNAP card I will be ordering ALL of my groceries from them from now on. I guess you must be some RICH Owners who just don’t care about losing my business. I live in a very large development with a lot of Seniors as well as young families & I plan to make posters to put up ALL over the development & in town. I only spend about $5,000 a year but I plan on taking your % of the grocery business down to the point that you’ll have to close this Stop & Shop location. We have three large grocery stores in about a 3 mile area . I THINK THAT’S ONE TOO MANY!!!! CLOSE THIS LOCATION OR GIVE GOOD SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am frustrated at people parking and waiting in the fire zone at the front of your stores. This is a lazy and unsafe habit. They can certainly wait in a designated parking spot. You need to install signs indicating drop off or loading only! Three minute maximum! One day recently, six cars parked along building (2 unattended) and 1 car parked in the lane facing the opposite direction. You could not drive through, it was unsafe and inconvenient for customers entering and exiting the store, and no one could pull up to load their car (consideration to handicapped and elderly people). I commented to store management that those violators will be upset with people like me. No one should have to be a babysitter over such a common sense issue. HOWEVER! If an emergency occurs, the last thing first responders need to be concerned about is directing traffic! Please update your signs! This occurred in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Thank You!

I’ve been shopping at Pompton Lakes/Wanaque NJ branch for many years…been happy. I know things are different because of Covid but manager is not handling changes there well. Only 2 registers open, one line to feed both but no one to control it. Customers arguing with each over whose turn it was to reach a register. This is no way to run a business covid or not. If this happens again I will switch to Wegman’s.

When I went to the Stop & Shop on Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown, NY, today, a woman who is either a manager or assistant manager had her mask on under her chin while she was standing behind the customer service counter with several other employees, all of whom were wearing masks.
There was also a male customer walking around the store with no mask on at all, and even though he walked right by some store employees, none of them said anything.

Stop & Shop 855 Bridgeport Ave. Milford, CT Store #647 April 7, 2020, 9:36 am.
As I entered the store I followed all the blue arrows on the floor. . As I was about to exit the building I noticed the blue arrows on the floor ended so I politely asked one of the associates walking by (I think she was the manager or head something) if we were to use specific doors to enter and exit (Wal-Mart is now doing this). I didn’t hear the response as she continued walking and grumbled something like any door or she didn’t care which door, I can’t be sure as she did not stop to address me. I found it quite rude.
There were about 5 or 6 customers in the store at that time as it was early in the morning. There is no need to take that attitude with a customer who is asking a simple question with the utmost courtesy.
I have been going to this particular Stop and Shop because I like it. I also like the store associates who check me out every week, they are helpful and friendly. We exchange pleasantries as we got to know each other every week. But from now on I will go to Shop Rite or the new Big Y that opened in Milford, CT.

I am employed by Stop an Shop in Hingham. I can almost guarantee you that the person who you asked about the end of the arrows was not a manager. They usually don’t come in until 7A at the earliest. Most employees go out of their way to be helpful. You run into those people every now and then.

I am not happy with the store near me. After reviewing this weeks flyer I went to my local store in West Hartford. Two of the items I had on my list the store did not have. I checked the flyer and the store address on the bottom of page 1 was the store I went to. The first item I was looking for was the Butterball ground turkey 98% fat free, they did not have it. I spoke to the meat department manager and he stated that they have never carried the item and would not have it in the future. The second item was Coffee-Mate fat free French vanilla flavored creamer which I have purchased there in the past. I was told that it had been discontinued by corporate headquarters. I spoke to the store manager and he said that due to the limited space in the store they had to discontinue some items. I can understand that reason, however, your TV ads seem to claim that you have whatever the customer needs. I may have to try another supermarket since you no longer carry the items I want. Your staff at the store (1235 Farmington Ave., West Hartford, CT) appear to try to be helpful but seem to have their hands tied when it comes to carrying the items the customer wants.

I cannot tell you how disgusted I am with your West End (Long Branch), NJ location. I was born and raised in the area for over 50 years. My parents were loyal shoppers when it was Foodtown. I’ve worked in retail management for years and my degree is in Business Management with my concentration in Marketing. I can attest to the fact that this store and management is deplorable. First off, management, Pat Scott I believe. His pompous attitude should be addressed. The condition of the store is far from satisfactory. The restrooms are in a state of disgust. My next complaint will be to the board of health. Understaffed at almost all times. I have a friend who works there and was given 0 hours this week! Thankfully my cousin is an attorney at a local firm and they would gladly take on his case pro bono. My additional steps would be social media and the local newspapers. I have contacts there as well. This location caters to the Jewish and summer community. Again, lived here all my life. I’ve since transferred my loyalty to locally owned Fine Fare. Management is beyond friendly and know me by name. Out of convenience I have run into or turned around Stop and Shop and left due to parking issues and lengthy lines. Another thought, cashiers should not have their phones at their register. There is one in particular who is texting right in front of customers (I know but will leave nameless, Mr. Scott’s issue unaddressed). Add on cashiers with the most disgusting lengthy nails touching foods. They should leave their phones at front office til break. In case of emergency they could be contacted through store line. Let me add on the deli department should follow suit of the Foodtown in Red Bank. You are able to take a ticket, write down your order and get called when order is ready. Thoughts…Do a marketing survey of the local community. Donate more to local community instead of throwing out. I volunteer at a local church at their pantry and told by employees everything close to expiration is thrown out especially produce and meats. Shop Rite donates. This store has to change it up. Replace Mr. Scott. With all the options of online ordering and competition this store gives good reason to order for delivery from any store or go to local Fine Fare as I do. Board of health will have a field day with bathrooms. Wegmans is another close option I go to. With the current multi million dollar redevelopment of Long Branch this area cannot sustain that traffic not would someone who purchased a multi million dollar home want to visit this location. I could go on for hours and apologize for the lengthy email but this needs to be addressed s soon as possible.
Kindly,
Patricia Walsh

After contemplating whether I want to continue shopping at Stop & Shop on Merrill Rd in Pittsfield Mass I have made the decision to not shop there any more. I have seen many changes in the store that I am not happy with so that is why I have made my decision. 1st of all…so many parking places for pick up orders. Way too many and I have only ever seen 2 maybe 3 cars parked there since they have been marked. The ridiculous robot! Need I say more! Just gets in everyone’s way. I am very unhappy with the meat department and I have heard that many others are also. Pre packaged meat. I don’t think so. First of all the meat department looks so unappealing now. For the past 3 or 4 weeks when I have gone there for something specific for my Sunday dinner they haven’t had what I wanted. I have had to go to Market 32 each of those weeks, including today, for the purchase so I will be continuing to shop there. I have been a good customer to Stop & Shop for many years but will no longer shop there. I will not use the self checkouts. They eliminate peoples jobs. And the same thing has happened in the meat department by letting the meat cutters go. At the register the cashier was had nobody helping her bag so I helped her and I don’t work there! I felt sorry for her! Today I heard that the deli is starting to send in their salads, etc so they will no longer be made at the store. Another loss of jobs! So, see ya! I won’t be shopping there any more!

Hello, I am not sure if this is the correct person to contact however I have an issue that DEMANDS immediate action against your Frozen and Dairy Administrator. When I contacted her last week, she was very disrespectful towards me, so far as to making racial remarks and insults due to my accent. I was able to meet her personally in regards to a sales opportunity and while speaking to her she smelled strongly of Alcohol and was staggering and stumbling while she was walking. Not only was it apparent that she was intoxicated but it was very obvious that she was on some type of sedative or something of that nature. She was very unprofessional and after our interaction I witnessed her entering a liquor store before returning to corporate headquarters. This was only my second interaction with this woman and I honestly believe that she treats other prospective vendors in the same fashion. I am tempted to file a lawsuit against Stop and Shop corporate for her indecency and overall rudeness. I have never been so belittled and berated in my life. I went to Quincy police station immediately after our encounter and asked for her public records. She has quite the rap sheet nevermind the felonies in which she is also being charged with currently. I hope you handle this appropriately or I will be forced to take further action against Kelsey Fletcher and Stop and Shop corporate. Thank you and look forward to hearing back from you ASAP.
Best Regards,

Hello, my name is Maria but everyone calls me “Mia”. I am writing to you because I was getting no where with “My” Stop and Shop Supermarket on Main Street in New City, NY in Rockland County. I am a loyal Stop & Shop customer (which can be confirmed with any one of your wonderful staff) and I’ve always had a pleasant experience at Stop & Shop up until this past Tuesday, 08/20/19 somewhere between 6:30-7:00 A.M. I went in to purchase a bottle of “Fabuloso” and some Brillo pads and as I turned in towards Aisle 17 there was some kind of liquid on the floor (no “Caution” cones by the wet floor) and I stepped on it and went airborne hitting my head and my tailbone. I immediately felt nauseous and could not get up and started screaming out for help and one of the girls that works there and a gentleman came over right away and helped me up. I was told that the Manager was not in yet but I can leave my number and the Manager, “Doug” would call me and assist me; he never did so I reached out to him and he took my accident report and assured me that someone from Corporate would call me back that Tuesday or for sure on Wednesday. Again, no one ever did. I am therefore writing to you directly in the hopes that someone will finally reach out to me. My phone number is 845-671-XXXX.
I will be out of New York Friday, August 23, 2019 for a Funeral and will return on Saturday, August 31, 2019 and would really like to speak with someone before I leave. If however you are unable to call me before I leave, as I mentioned, I will be back on Saturday, 8/31/19.
Thank you very much,
Mia

My son, Francis Iaconetti, who is a high functioning autistic white guy, 22, shy and polite, but verbal and competent, applied for a position at the Stop & Shop on Rt 119 in Tarrytown. His has worked with BOCES for several years in various summer jobs and is able to easily be a stock person. Mr. Gorgon Smith, the store manager at the time, interviewed him and told him to find another job. I am all for equal opportunity and for hiring people of color – I hire people on the quality of their character, not the color of their skin and my sons have worked with tutors who were African American. I am reporting a breach of the ADA since Francis qualifies as a person who can be hired as a special needs person. This manager is holding jobs for people of color, which may seem equitable to him, it breaks the law of equal opportunity and the law to hire special needs people. You need to follow up on this because this manager didn’t even take Francis’ resume. He told him to find another job. Francis lives walking distance from this store. He is entitled by Federal law to have an equal chance to work there.

I purchased your Thanksgiving ” meal ”
I can start by saying , I won’t be doing that again .. IT WAS TERRIBLE !! The Turkey was tasteless , ( no flavor what-so-ever) , and looked as if someone had sprayed Coppertone on it’s top .. The Green bean casserole tasted as if it had sat to long .. The potatoes amazed me , because I never knew you could screw up potatoes that badly and make them taste like “instant” potatoes that weren’t blended properly . The stuffing had WAY to much seasoning and it was basically bitter and it was dry . I’m stunned and flabbergasted over the whole meal . The ONLY thing any good was the pie . The rest was ONE sitting and then in the garbage ..And upon “complaining ” to friends and neighbors that had made the same purchase , I found they ALL had the same complaints You DAMN sure have to do better than that , if you intend to do it at all .

Poor customer service and or false advertising, Stores running Lobster ads , Steamed on site until Labor day,, Went to Abington at 5:15 and the Customer service guy said he can only sell me cold in case, I wanted to buy 4 to 6 Lobsters, I left and went to Whitman only to ask the same question and get the almost exact scripted song and dance their~~ I guess your people were to lazy to do there job,, Well knowing that SHAWS was a little higher in price, But offering the same deal until next weekend ,, Brockton customer service won me over,,, Done to perfection, And now DONE with my days at STOP AND SHOP

Dear Whom it may concern. I shop at my local Newburgh N. Y store. The employees there are wonderful and always helpful. The store is organized and clean. I stopped in today around 10 am . I went to the self check registers. The attendant there Tammy was very nice and helped me with my order. It is so great to have such hard working people at this store. Thank you Marie Brown
