Caldwell Fresh Foods was founded in 1949 in Los Angeles, California, by Jack Caldwell. Caldwell cleaned and cut up coleslaw, then put it in bags to be sold at the local market. Soon, the demand for pre-packaged foods grew and Caldwell had to relocate to a larger facility near the old Wholesale Produce Market.
Today, Caldwell Fresh Foods is one of the largest producers of pre-packed food items in the US. The company offers custom preparation, processing, and packing of fresh produce and salads, including vegetables for stir fry, precut and cleaned tomatoes and celery for retail sale, produce departments, and/or the restaurant trade. Certified organic vegetables are also available.
The company is still family owned and operated, with headquarters located in Maywood, California. In 2007, the company constructed a new, 15,000 square foot state-of-the-art processing facility.

I purchased your Fresh Chop Suey mix as I have before. Best by date is August, so not old. The smell was killer. My husband asked what the horrible smell was. Do you want the codes off packaging as I am sure it would have made someone sick.

Hi, I love your Exotic Chop Suey and the Exotic Stir Fry. I usually buy two or three bags per week of each. But when I get to checkout the clerk often has a hard time scanning the UPC code on the bottom of the bag, as the code is often scrunched up during packaging. You need to put the UPC higher on the bag. Not only does it not scan in that situation, the clerk cannot even read the numbers to hand-enter. Then she has to send a box boy to get another bag. If there is a line of customers, they are not happy. I am going to learn to check the code before I buy the bag, but I usually forget. The clerk tells me she wants to call you guys to complain but always forgets. Today I remembered so I am writing you.
Thanks for your attention. Again, I love your product.

I like your “Exotic Chop Suey” vegetable mix. I live in Simi Valley, Ca.
I looked for this product in Vons, Stater Bros and finally
found it at Albertsons. If Albertsons stops carrying this
product where else may I find it.
Thanks for reading.
