Wendy's History

Wendy’s Old Fashioned Hamburgers was founded in 1969 by Dave Thomas in Columbus, Ohio.  The chain featured square hamburger patties and Frosties.

In 1970, Thomas opened a second location in Columbus.  This location would add the first modern drive thru window in 1971.

In 1972, the first franchise is sold.

By 1976, there are 500 restaurants and the company goes public.

In 1978, the 1000th location opens.

In 1979, Wendy’s was the first chain to introduce a salad bar.

By 1983, there are 2500 locations.

In 1985, the company merges with Tim Hortons.

By 1987, there are 5000 locations.

In 2002, founder Dave Thomas dies.

In 2006, the company headquarters is moved to Dublin, Ohio where they remain today.

In 2008, the company merged with Triac, owner of Arby’s.

Today, Wendy’s is the third largest hamburger fast food chain in the world with nearly 7000 restaurants worldwide.

“Good evening Ms. Doris I’m very sorry for the Bad experience u had Wendys. I will make sure that Person Do not work at the PUW anymore. i will result the problem ASAP. thank you ”

Do you really wonder why these stores are going downhill?

Jabree Whitaker January 15, 2015 at 10:11 pm

Hi my name is Jabree Whitaker I am currently employed at the Wendys at 2815 Dekalb Pike in East Norritown ,Pa
Today on 1/15/2015 I was told to leave because I told them I could not clean the floor because my jobs was to take orders in drive thru and make sure everything was done correctly. The manager than asked me to leave I told him I’m not supposed to leave til 10 pm when my shift is over ,so then he goes to the back and call the police for no reason . I haven’t done anything wrong or said anything but that’s not my job ,also their was nobody else to put in drive thru because everyone had left and it was only 5 people and they already was doing their parts. I have been working here since 4-12-2014 and never had to go through anything like this. I respect everyone that work from managers to coworkers. I do my job and more ,I’m always available we they need help. So I would just let to talk to someone about this cause I’m not going to to be dealing with while working here. Also this manager was a new manager from a Mcdonald he just got off from training His name is James don’t know his last name but here is the store number 610-239-1027 and you can reach me at 215-519-3252 thank you

Jabree Whitaker January 15, 2015 at 10:16 pm

Sorry again but there were also a lot of new training empoylees working so they didn’t know how to take orders or work the system and he kept going to the back when we would have cars ,eating every minute I see him .it was just not a good day for and it was. Embarrassing to for me working there so long .

I went to Wendy’s in Ashland, Virginia several weeks ago and ordered a Chicken with Ranch sandwich for $1.29. I was told that was a seasonal special and I couldn’t get one at the price. Tonight January 15 2015 at 9:46 on channel 299 I saw the same ad again. What am I supposed to think about what I was told??? Do you lie on TV or at the store?? It has to be one or the other!! Not nice!!! Apparently McDonald’s needs more of my business!!

Have you ever went into a wendys that was not pre-prepaired for your visit? I went to a wendys here in Phx AZ on Camelback Store #000000610. I ordered a lg chili and picked up at the drive thru window, guess what… when I went back to work to eat it, I openeded and found no chili, just red beans and tomatoes bits and juice. Sadly dis-appointed but not intirely, here is the reason. When I first ate a burger in 1978 at wendys…wow it was hot juicy made to order and tasted as good as I could cook it. Now, your burgers are flat not nasty, not juicy, not made to order and the lettece, tomatoes and onion, well, old stale non color, bugrers kept in a warmer pan, dark without taste.. and no one speaks english and no one ones gives a crap. i tell my friends about it and most agree tey quit eating at wendys as well.

Thats why I dont visit very often, when I do its never a hamburger. The quality has went so far down I dont care to continue with it. I can get a juicy hot burger at Sonic!

Barbara January 11, 2015 at 4:59 pm

My husband and I were shopping and decided to grab a bite to eat at the Wendy’s in Leominster, MA.
We received our food an my burger was raw. We took I it back and the made a new one. It was better, but it was cold.
The air quality was terrible! Smelled like a greasy spoon restaurant! Made my eyes water. To top it off my husband went to the restroom and had to turn around and come right back out. The toilet seats and the walls were covered in feces!
The whole experience was disgusting. We will never eat at Wendy’s again!

I frequent the Wendy’s location over on 1045 28th Ave north Nash,tn 37209 it’s just awful! I went there this evening around 5:20 pm and bought a large chili for my daughter and we went through the drive thru we live 5-6 minutes away tops we get home she opens the chili to add the sauce&crackers and big as day there it laid on top a Damn cockroach that’s just sickening my daughter instantly threw up just from the sight of it I then returned back to Wendy’s and all the manager could say was I’m sorry I didn’t cook it but would u like more or a frosty to compensate u I then said No! Give me my money they are always loud, rude, and Ghetto as if there’s always a party going on there and there’s always homeless guys wandering inside&out asking for money…so would I ever return to a Wendy’s again…No! I took pictures and posted them everywhere so I have proof.!!!!

Daniel Galvan January 8, 2015 at 6:49 pm

I’m a customer that never smelled what I smelt on 1/07/2015 at 8;30 pm. See I took my wife to order off the Wendy’s Menu in Houston at the location at the Love gas station at 210 Patton St. Houston TX 77009, but what we smelt that night made us very sick and we could not eat what we ordered. We left with our food to eat at my office but we still could not eat because the way it made us feel and where we could not get that odor off of our togo bags and the way our cloths smelt like and from the way the food smelled like. I called the next day and spoke to the GM of that store and he did not want to take ownership of that situation. His answer to me was that he did not have restrooms on his side of that building. He never took ownership of that problem so my next actions is to call the health department in our city to make a health complaint because he doesn’t think he has a problem in his store. I am not making a threat to anyone, but if he doesn’t care about the way his store is by not taking action to see what was wrong in whatever his costumers made claims too in what was wrong in his store. See he does not care about the quality of his food and the way his store is and the way his way of cooking of the food is cooked if there is a problem with the food that crosses his counters when his costumers order their food and where there might be some kind of contamination with that odor that was coming from his dinning room where it smelled like human urine. I need someone to email me about that because the way that GM acted like it made me feel that he did not care and his management capabilities need some work because he doesn’t care what his costumers needs to even look at his costumers safety when there is a problem in his store. I believe someone needs to look into this because I do care about my health and everyone should take note of this MG and the way he acted and the actions he did not act on. See I am going to call the health department and I will be heard because I am a person that knows a lot of people in the city and it will be investigated and there will be fines given if they do find that my allegations are there to be in violation of the city ordnance.

To whom it may concern at the Wendys corporate office,
Tonight I visited your store on 2190 Orchard Lake Rd in
Sylvan Lake Michigan 48320. I drove through your drive thru
at around ten pm. To make this as short as possible, when I got home and looked in my bag, I discovered an ice cold sandwich and fries. I was the only car in line
and I do not live far from the store. I would have brought the sandwich back,
however, I was tired, wanted go home, eat my sandwich and go to bed. Please inform your stores general manager of this situation. I would like my money back or a new sandwich and fries. Thank you Jennifer L. Sharpe.

however I was tired, wanted to eat my food and go to bed. Please inform the store
this stores General manager of this situation. If possible, I would like my money back or a hot sandwich and fries. Thank you
Jennifer L. Sharpe

I would

My daughter is a recent former employee of Wendy’s in Mansfield Ohio . The Store is located on Lexington ave. This morning at about 9:45 am she went in to pick up her final check, and was told by management that she didn’t have one, after working 32 hours. The manager didn’t enter her in to payroll liked she worked those 32 hrs for free. This is absolutely unacceptable, for whatever reason she isn’t working there anymore does not mean that she should be treated like this . I’m pissed off for her. You guys just a valuable customer.

Laura Keblish December 17, 2014 at 9:18 pm

Tonight, while eating an Apple Pecan Salad, I found a wet beady eyed moth wrapped inside a piece of lettuce … disgusting !!!!! Wendys is no longer a place my family or I ever eat at again … did I say D.I.S.G.U.S.T.I.N.G. ???? Reported incident to the store and to Corporate.

Nicholas brandt December 12, 2014 at 4:16 pm

My sister is mentally challenged and works for Wendy’s restaurant on commercial blvd in Fort Lauderdale florida for 27 years ,they make fun of her ,the ridiculous her, they burn her everyday she works 2hours a day when the other employees work 32 hours a week Wendy’s is for some other words not for their employees and definitely not for st Jude’s, or any other charitable organizations they ,well I will write a short story in the sun sentinel newspaper on Wendy’s and how they treat their employees if I don’t get a call back at 954-701-****

Wendy December 9, 2014 at 9:20 pm

I’m in Burnsville, MN, and visited the Wendy’s literally 2 minutes from where I’m staying. Last night my visit was not a good one. I didn’t get a receipt, but decided to email, vent :/ Within 2 hours, Don Olsen, contacted me to hear of my experience, I told him what had happened, he could have not been more NICE and accommodating, he went ABOVE & BEYOND, he said he would come by, and leave me a gift certificate in the morning, but he SHOWED UP TONIGHT!!! He was SOOO SWEET!! Wendy’s you have a GEM on your hands. I will be BACK!!! Thank You SOOOO MUCH!! My visit to Minnesota has been GREAT!!! :)

Mike December 8, 2014 at 3:54 pm

Wendys Mt Washington Cincinnati ohio 45245. My stepson works there. When he dropped out of school at 17 I called wendys and spoke to a manager (summer) and explained that he should not be able to work there now that he dropped out. Manager didn’t care about any of that. Don’t care about out kids education, only getting the burgers out. They should be held accountable.

Toni December 18, 2014 at 5:27 pm

Him dropping out has nothing to do with wendys. As long as he’s not going for management it don’t matter if he has a diploma or not. That’s not wendys job to be a parent and talk to your kids about education. If you dnt think ur stepson should work cuz he dropped out then be a parent and make him quit and put him back in.

JoAnn Oakes November 29, 2014 at 9:10 am

I had been going into two different Wendy’s here in Farmington, NM 4 and 5 times a week since May as I had someone in the Hospital and then the Nursing Home. I was going by getting my food and would show them my previous receipt and ask for my $2.00 discount as well as my senior discount and had no problem doing this during that time. I was also picking up Happy meals to take to the elderly person at the Nursing Home. We’ll the beginning of November one of the members of Management told me they were only honoring the $2.00 off once a month! I was also told that for the senior discount that I would be given a free drink, but this is a child’s size drink. The manager told me that this was coming from corporate headquarters. I then asked him was he keeping a ledger of who and when the last discount was used. And also told him that it was not printed so on the back of the receipt. I Most usually order the Medium combo of the Son of Bacon after but instead of getting a regular size drink they gave me the small and still charged me full price. I I told the manager that I would not be back and he replied that was fine with him. And so I have not been back at all and our one church group of 15 that was going in every week has also stopped!

Thomas Bradley November 23, 2014 at 11:52 pm

So it turns out all of our Wendy’s in Colorado Springs no longer gives military discount. REALLY????? Come on people. What the heck?? It is the least you can do by offering it. It needs to come back! So what if you’re losing out in profits. Do you realize what the military does for you?????

Toni December 18, 2014 at 5:28 pm

Yes but they will tell you that their food is highly discounted etc. I use to work for them and we still do in South Dakota military discounts

Manzan November 19, 2014 at 6:12 pm

Visited our local Wendy’s today. Greeted by a wonderful personality, Natasha who took our order. The food was outstanding and so was the service. The place was spotless. Carlos, the Manager, is doing a great job. Our local Wendy’s is far from our downtown and is quite a treck to get to and we have to pass several other fast food stores before getting there. I will start making the “treck” out there for the service, cleanliness, and the food. Thanks,

brian November 16, 2014 at 4:48 pm

Kathleen November 15, 2014 at 7:14 pm

I went through the drive-thru, ordered 2 sandwiches and a drink and was given a total. When I pulled up to the window, I handed the attendant my debit card for payment. My payment was taken and my card was handed back to me and I requested my receipt. I was told the machine wasn’t working right. I asked again for my receipt. I was asked to pull up to the next window. I was given my drink and food and thanked. I replied I was still waiting for my receipt. Finally a manager came to the window, gave me a few dollars back with the explanation that I was charged for 3 sandwiches instead of just 2 and given a receipt which does not add up to what was charged to my debit card. The ticket number for the receipt I was given reads as follows: Ticket #02-9484.

At the very least, this portrays dishonest management practices. If I had not insisted on getting my receipt, I would not have realized that I was overcharged. If the store management knew from the get go that I was overcharged, then the proper way to handle the transaction would have been to issue a credit to my debit card and then re-ring the order and place the correct charge onto my debit. When the manager told me what had happened, I advised her that “this is not cool.” I will not be back to this particular Wendy’s on Peoples St., Johnson City, TN, ever.

Brett Connor November 13, 2014 at 9:38 pm

Hi my name is Brett Connor,
I was just in your Kaysville Wendys, and I was very disturbed!!! A lot of people were in the store and there was a couple that were talking to a manager. One specific employee seemed excited and I was very happy to see her approach at the store. (Working fast food sucks) She had yelled another employees name which I do have to say was loud but you could tell she was excited. The manager Stephanie disturbed me!! She snapped her fingers at her employee like she was a DOG!!! And then told her to get out of her store. I’m sorry but that just seemed way too dramatic and very disrespectful! I do not think I will EVER come back to this store because of that managers behavior!!!! I will just stick to my ARBY’s and BURGER KING!!!! Thank you!!

WENDYS IN MONCKS CORNER SC. The managers are rude to the workers. I quit because some of the workers been talking about me and I told the manager and they done nothing about it. I don’t feel safe because they talk about me all the time. The handbook doesn’t says to be rude, only polite! I told my mom and she told me to contact yall. I hate that place. I worked my butt off everyday for a year, no one given me a raise. Again I think that place needs new managers and owner. These workers works in groups and talk mean about other workers including me. I don’t feel right at that place anymore, even I been threatened by a worker saying he gonna fight me, trying to impress the girls. I just cant stand that place. They don’t sell fresh food, it be old and nasty. I used to be on grill and sandwiches. Manager Barry coxwell, Rhonda, Kim, are very rude managers. Not just to me to others. They makes fun of the workers. Dora and Toby are the best and the hardest worker at wendys in MONCKS CORNER SOUTH CAROLINA. They are the very best and treat workers like a sister or brother. That makes me feel good and comfortable. But thrs workers who works in a pack like chad, Tiffany rivers, and a few are very mean, that’s why I quit because of them and the managers I named. I am begging you to please take action. Thank you so much.

Jay November 4, 2014 at 7:08 pm

Hey! I’m speaking on behalf of wendys in moncks corner sc. the managers are verrrrry rude. I work for wendys. Their are no teamwork at that wendys. I came to yall for a reason. This wendys in moncks corner are very rude. Managers yelling at co workers, cursing at us. Sum of the co workers are working in packs and making fun of the other workers, and that’s how some of them quit. It’s very wrong, plus these managers know that, but they does nothing about it. The store owner Cena haas is a very busy women, the other manager Barry coxwell really does not work like a manager does, they all smoke and throw buds down outside the store. They sit down and makes co workers does it all every time. I called in late because I had to pick up my sister for my mom, because my mom is sick. They wrote me up, and said I should been fired for that. Please do something abt the wendys in moncks corner South Carolina. I feel very uncomfortable working their as long others. These managers are very rude to us, and some of the co workers are working in packs making fun of the new people, and I feel bad for them. It’s sad. Please do something. Thank you.

Troy toney November 3, 2014 at 8:00 pm

Linda November 3, 2014 at 11:26 am

I was an employee of Wendy’s on Smokey Park Hwy Asheville,NC (2 Spartan Ave Asheville,nc) I had recently found out that I was expecting and was extremely excited about my news when I got my proof of pregnancy from my doctor I went to work the next day still very excited and tried to hand it to the GM she told me to just read it to her so I told her I was expecting she then proceeded over a 30-45 min period to first ask me how my husband felt about “this” I told her he was extremely excited as well as I was she then proceeded to tell me that I already have enough going on and that I already have enough children and basically didn’t need another I defended myself against her right down to telling her that I gave birth to and shortly after my daughter passed away a lil over a year ago and that I feel extremely blessed to be pregnant again and told her that I’m not going to be able to do the maintenance bc of lifting the grease bin etc… she left for a sec and came back and told me that looks like fries is going to be your new position I have asthma and pregnancy makes asthma worse as well as smoke I told her that I can’t do that and she carried her negative attitude towards me all through out the day I knew she was going on vacation that night so I worked the next 2 days then had the next 3 days off on my 3rd day off I went and talked to my pregnancy counselor and told her my concerns about going back and that I didn’t want to she suggested to follow my heart and that I did I came home and my daughter gathered my uniforms and returned them! The DM called me about 2 weeks later and I explained to him what happened he said r u sure it didn’t just come out wrong I’m positive bc I defended myself constantly he said what she did wasn’t ok and that after I have the baby I can return to wendys at another location which I agreed to but I still feel completely disgusted with her actions and don’t feel that anything has even been done about it is that ok bc its a franchise is it ok for them to treat employees with such disregard and disrespect? I’m still extremely upset about what happened I don’t understand how someone can truly treat someone so badly and take such a blessing and turn it into something so horrible! I worked there for almost a year was NEVER late once only ever called off 1 time bc I was throwing up and couldn’t even get out of bed and came to work and did my job excellent I enjoyed working for wendy’s which is why I agreed to go back to another location but I need to know that what she did to me will never be done to another person bc I know a very large amount of employees that left that location for similar reasons

Harv November 2, 2014 at 5:42 pm

One of your Television ads shows people sitting at a table talking about how you can tell a good BBQ place. the comments were about pigs in a hat and pigs in coveralls. your wendy’s red head says how about a girl in pig tails.
Ok, my question is, why don’t you have your redhead girl in pigtails like your signs? she needs to be bubbly and in pigtails so folks understand that who she is supposed to represent.

Nina Ganges November 2, 2014 at 2:53 pm

Good morning Ms Tisha

This reason for this email is because I am still seeking a letter to only possibly say that I no longer work for your company. I have called and tried to receive something from the managers at Temple Location, but all that I have received is a cat and mouse game. I respect your company’s policies and decisions, even though I do feel that I was wrongfully terminated for defending myself. But that’s neither here or there anymore, it’s been a month and I’m still trying to get this letter or just some proof that I no longer work for the company. If the company is so quick to release employees with out fair trial, why can’t I get that proof as quickly? I understand and respect that everyone may be a little busy and the company does have alot of employees and other things to worry themselves about, but I’m just asking for one small thing, so that I can also move on with my life…

Thank you for having me as part of your company, and for giving me the opportunity to be apart of your company.<<<<<<<<<<<— sent Tuesday/Wednesday and today is Sunday, still waiting on reply…Temple Location

Sabri October 29, 2014 at 4:30 pm

On Sunday, October 26th 2014,
My wife and I went to eat at wendy’s at 3750 Utopia Dr, Miramar, FL 33023. My wife found a sticker stuck to the bottom of the meat portion inside the sandwich (must’ve gotten cooked with the meat). We went to show it to the clerk and she showed it to the team. They offered us a free sandwich but we refused and walked out disgusted. Later my wife developed hives all over her arms and back and so did I, we ended up in the E.R. when it wasn’t getting any better. The doctor said it must’ve been a foreign body that caused this and the grill or meat could’ve been dirty. Three days later we are still suffering from the itch just because of negligence in handling/preparing the food. I’ve contacted wendy’s and explained everything to corporate then I got a call back from the general manager who had no idea about it because the shift manager nor the staff brought it up. Later they called to offer a refund to the meal and to pick any meal off the menu for free out of generosity. I am shocked at how inconsiderate people can be to belittle such incident where nothing was reported. We’ve been suffering because we ate a dirty meal at a reputable franchise. I’ve called to ask not to destroy any video evidence but was told this is out of their hands.

I am putting you on notice not to destroy video evidence and asking Wendy’s to compensate me for my wife’s medical bill in addition to our pain and suffering after eating at this place.

Thank you

Jessica October 27, 2014 at 6:16 pm

I went to the Wendys today 10/27/2014 around 1:45 I did not see the health inspection so I ask for it and they said the fram broke so it wasnt posted but the score a 92. I was ok with that however, i went around the store and saw on the window the inspection score was a 91 so I bagan the question myself. I went the the health inspection website and found that the score was an 82. I was most unhappy with the attitude I got after asking about the score and then th ebe LIED to that make me more angry. As I alo work in food service i am knowledgeable of the rules and regulations. I hope to hear back from someone in a timly matter as i WILL be taking this a step futher. Thanks Jessica

VeteranOfWar October 23, 2014 at 6:31 pm

I am a US Veteran who works for Wendys in Ramsey ,NJ. I have 8 years of Wendys Experience. I was a shift supervisor prior to be active. I work hard for the company
The GM Carlos Munoz disrespects his employees. I was working one day and he was the only one there and guess what? The next manager and myself found a used condomn in the back!!!. I have worked hard and a employee who has been there for 3 months was promoted to shift supervisor above me. I have the training , experience , and give my 100 percent. I live very close to the store. I am very disappointed how Wendys at this store treats its veterans. I hope equality and fairness one day is instilled in this store.

I have the qualifications , experience , and training. They expect me to help train the new shift supervisor and cradle him. He got a lay raise exceeding mine but no experience and less work. I’m disgusted . If you really care the correction would done. The GM lacks any logic reason. Again, I love Wendys but not the unfair treatment of loyal employees.

Tim Kemp October 23, 2014 at 4:18 pm

First and foremost I would like to say that I am 46 years old and I have been eating at Wendy’s since I was a kid and Wendy’s was always my favorite place to eat hamburgers and I preferred your fast food restaurant over all the other competitors. The majority of the time that I have eaten at your Wendy’s Restaurants at many locations across the country I was more than satisfied with the quality of the food being served and the customer service being given. However, I live in Las Vegas, Nevada and the closest Wendy’s to me is located at 1151 S Rainbow Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146. I normally am not a complainer. However that being said I ate at this particular location on Wednesday October 22, 2014 at approximately 6:15pm Pacific Time. I ordered a large Triple Burger Combo with no cheese, Large Fries and a Diet Coke. First of all I would like to inform you of how unprofessional the employees were and ignored not only me but several people in front of me when I ordered at the counter. Also I would like to talk about the quality of the food. The diet coke and the fries were good and in my opinion they should be because it is hard to screw up something that easy to prepare. However the Triple Burger I ate was absolutely horrible. It was obvious that whoever prepared that burger didn’t take any pride at all in doing there job. If I was that employee that prepared the burger they served me. I would ask myself is that a burger that I would eat myself? Like I said before I believe this is a direct reflection on the Management at that Wendy’s location. I would like to suggest if at all possible that maybe you can have Wendy’s District Manager’s make unannounced visits at there locations to see first hand the decline of customer service and the preparation of food. This is not the first time that I have had poor customer service and poor food preparation at this Wendy’s location it has happened many times in the past 6 months. I only hope that someone at the Corporate Level will actually read the positive comments as well as the complaints about Wendy’s so that they can rectify this situation and make Wendy’s a place that I enjoy eating at in the future.

Regarding Wendy’s in 76262-Alliance

It was around 8pm on 10/6/14 when I went to the drive thru. There was no one in line, however it took a long time for someone to take my order. The seemed like they didn’t care and were mumbling thru the speaker. I ordered a jr bacon cheeseburger for $1.89 and a value fry for .99. When I pulled up to the window the associate just stuck out his hand for a payment. I gave him $5 and he only gave me a bag of food. I asked him about getting change back and he said no it was $5 even. I asked him a few more times if he was sure, he said yes. Then I told him I wanted my receipt and he laughed and said, “Oh sorry you’re right including .24 tax the total is only $3.12″ and he gave me change. The receipt he did give me was very short, doesn’t have the store# or store phone number on it. I do not think this is even the full receipt. The name on the receipt says Leonor. I immediately called the store and asked to speak to a manager. The person that answered the phone told me his name was Larry and he was the manager. I told him what happened. He told me that he was the associate at the window who messed up my change and that he didn’t see what the problem was because in the end I got my change so it wasn’t a big deal. He never apologized, was unprofessional, came off as if he was trying to steal, and came off as if he wasn’t really the manger. We used to go to Wendy’s all the time, however if we continue to go in the future I do not think we will go to this location. Service was horrible.

I am very disappointed to say that as a huge fan of wendys i will NEVER again go.to the wendys in winder ga. The cashiers are extremely rude and hateful, the managers are no better. When i called to complain about my service the night before i was met with the same rude and hateful attitudes. Today, i called and spoke with the gm of the store directly and the outcome was not much better, actually the only difference was that she offered to replace my ᤾2 sandwiches, but not the rest of my order. The people working in this store are the worst customer service people and seem to care nothing about their work or customers. I hate to say that this is close to being.my last visit to a Wendy’s at all.

Tonight while making an order at the drive through at your store at
7846 Garners ferry rd
Columbia S.C.
I had forgot a drink and asked the young ladie at the window if she could and she was very rude saying we don’t change orders at the window. I was handed my order and drove off with out my drink after getting to my hotel I saw I was charged for a drink and did not recive it. The young lady’s name is Arnae m.
Thought you would like to know that some employees may need to be trained on how to let people know some thing is not aloud.

Dear Sirs,

I know you are a family run business. How can you sponsor Dance Moms?
From one Dance competition Mom to another or to just DM fans in general I have a confession to make. For a long time now I have come back to this madness we love/hate called Dance Mom’s. I have completely cleared my schedule so that 9-10 on Tuesdays is free and open. The kids know if they are going to get sick or need anything wait until 10. It was a night I shared as Mom/daughter time with my dance girl. AND I AM ASHAMED.

I am ashamed as a Mother even of an adult dancer what I have encouraged and put in front of her. I am ashamed that I have sat by week after week making excuses for (It’s got to be fake-The kids know its not real-Well maybe its real) Trying to justify watching this train wreck that you cannot just seem to take your eyes off of. I began to look up things online and began to see scores not matching. Kids having dances we never knew won. I began to see the editing of a verbal fight take place and wow the Moms and Kids must be magicians. They can put there hair up and down in the blink of an eye and change clothes too.

In the first season we saw pieces of meanness come out of Miller. But I also saw some decent things and some compassion as well. Chloe falls Abby asks is she OK. Hugging Brooke. Second season things slowly began to change. Chloe beat Maddie at Nationals d ana title. Chloe got the Lux video and Miller changed. It was no more about having a favorite that we had seen since day one. It was about making everyone else less than.

Week after week I watched girls get red in the face and cry, have panic attacks, have chairs thrown at them, be mocked for their feet, be told they were stupid, telling Moms you need to take her to a doctor she’s not right in the head. This had gotten personal and uncalled for, It was no longer about just dance corrections it was about personal issues. It became about telling kids not to obey their parents to take a cab to dance . Mocking them and calling them babies.

Kim of Queens premiered and I watched her after a DM show. I saw a compassionate but firm coach who was a former Miss Georgia mold and shape little girls for the best. Yes she made them work but she saw the jewel in each one and she polished it to come out. I felt happy and refreshed watching Kim. She kept the Moms in their place and all but one respected her. Kim had no favorites, all was worth. When the one Mother got out of hand Kim took care of removing Angie while still leaving the daughter with self worth and self respect and has never taken something out on a child because she did not like her Mother. Kim don’t play and she knows how to handle slackers. She also know how to encourage her child who has just frozen on the stage to finish and that she can do it. They would move heaven and earth for Kim.

Then I see the mess with the Hyland girls going on and I cringe inside. I feel literally a knot in my stomach watching these kids get abused and wondering why don’t their Mothers do something whats wrong with them. Then Kelly did do something she snapped. She had had enough, we would have too had that been us. I am ashamed that after that scenerio that I came back to watch more kids hurt every week. I was a hypocrite complaining about the abuse and still watching.

The love of the girls always pulls us back in though and we began another season that has just only gotten worse. After watching the treatment of Chloe last night I felt sick to my stomach. Literally. I had read ahead so I knew she had made the comment to Chloe that was tweeted by not one but two witnesses at the competition “She needs to get her lazy eye fixed she will never get work. Fix her face” which was in reference to a health sinus issue Chloe had. And I realized something after finishing that episode and watching that little girl break down. Enough is enough. It would not have mattered if it was Nia or anyone else. And to tell your student you pulled from another studio “You better beat that girl” is beyond low. That is your student Abby you have taught since age two.

I am ashamed I allowed myself to sit back this long and not walk away. Miller has no business around children. Her ego has gotten bigger than she is. She is the exact opposite of her great Mother with an exact opposite teaching style. I don’t know what happened to Abby but its obvious she has a lot of past issues shes still dealing with and the cycle continues. Verbal abuse is the excessive use of language to undermine someone’s dignity and security through insults or humiliation in a sudden or repeated way.

Even if Chloe was to come back I could have no respect for Christi for reengaging in that. Chloe has a great Mom to stand up and advocate for her daughter. She stopped the madness. She said Enough is enough. The video they prepared ahead of time says it all. It’s on Youtube called NobodyisYOU

Kelly, Brooke and Paige had enough. Christi and Chloe have had enough. I have had enough. I am totally ashamed it took me so long to get here just to excuse my actions with “But I just want to watch them dance”. Christi tweeted one time if we ever saw what went on behind the scenes we’d never watch again. I don’t know everything that is behind the scenes but I am done. I am done with anything Collins or Abby related and possibly with Lifetime.

This is a follow-up to my complaint. I will not do business with Legacy Restuarant Group in Topeka, Ks. However, I will give Wendys another shot because Corporate truly does care. I received a phone call from Robert “Bob” Wright, COO of Wendys who was very kind, apologetic, and truly cares about his customers. After a lengthy conversation with Mr. Wright I found that he is passionate about the company name and I believe that others within the company are as well. There are bad apples, every company has them. Even some people I may work with, may not do things properly or follow policy. These people shouldn’t be the cause of you not wanting to due business with a company anymore. I’ve found that if I go to a different Wendys or a Wendys that is not owned by the same people who had a poor experience with, then maybe you could see that there are Wendys that care about the customer and a job well done. I know that corporate Wendys cares about these things and have to believe that others do too.

The woman who made my bbq pulled pork on October 10 2014 2:50 pm got angry that i wanted lettuce instead of coleslaw and started to sweat at me. I confronted her back and she continued arguing with as if me wanting the sandwich that way was really making get angry then she started laughing at me. This was at your Westfield location. Was very embarrassed especially skincare by myself and it seemed that she was trying to encourage other employees to gang up on me. Thank you for your time.

I was a previous employee of Wendy’s located at 2031 E Oaklabd Park Blvd. Fort Lauderdadle, FL 33306. The first few months of working there was ok, although I will admit that I was tardy a lot & misplaced my name tag most of the time. I was told that if I can’t find my name tag, I couldn’t work. This has happened at least four times. The general manager, Nyron is very professional, fair and understanding. However, he could do a lot better at managing the store. The training was weird & quite vague. I never completed all of the online assessments. Some days I would be on the computer & some days I would be training hands on.
The store needs a lot of work. There are ants, roaches & flies inside the restaurant & sometimes the customers noticed it. Working at Wendys was a horrible experience for me because there was so much drama & negativity inside the store. It rubbed off on me & it was putting a lot of stress on me. The shift supervisor, Phidianna Francois & I have had a disagreement twice. I pity her & her lack of professionalism disgusts me. I don’t feel like she fits this position. She gossips about people behind their backs & talks about personal problems at work. I’ve witnessed her disrespect a co-worker of mine SEVERAL times. Rather than praising the employees when they do good, she rather find something nasty to say. She also speaks creole so that no one knows what she is talking about. I will admit she has tried helping me countless times. But, once i seen who she was behind the mask, my respect for Phidianna has gone out the window. I cursed her out & quit. I couldnt take it anymore. I reached my breaking point. I cant work at wendys knowing I wasnt happy there. Too much. Negative energy. I wanted to cause severe harm to Phidianna, but instead I prayed for her. Dave Thomas would be so disappointed! I need the corporate office number PRONTO. I would like my last check(s) to be mailed to my home address

William Stewart October 4, 2014 at 10:06 pm

My name is William Stewart, I’ve just got employeed by Wendy’s at 4965 Flat Shoals in Decatur, Ga, my first night working was last night. When I got there it was a issue with my name tag, I ask could they put the name Chase on it and the managers William and Faye told me no after I told the on the application it ask what name would I rather go by and they told me my name on my birth certificate will get put on it. After a couple minutes go by theu bring the name tag and it had the name STEWART on it. I didn’t get any training and the manager Faye expected me to know where things where and hope to operate some of the machines. If I run out of fry and nugget boxes and tell her she wouldn’t just let me go get the necessary things I was needing; the she hollar at me when she ask for a order that’s been on the screen and it’s not up yet. I have to remind her I ask you give minutes ago that I needed these things. After I scrub and mopped the entire store I got some water bc I’ve been there 6 hours with nothing to drink and again she raises her voice bc I told her I needed something to drink. At the end of the night she went in the system and did something to my time , so I asked her can I get my TIME SLIP FOR MY PERSONAL RECORDS AND SHE DENIED ME THE RIGHT TO HAVE IT AFTER I WITNESS THE TWO OTHER EMPLOYEES HAVE THERES. THE RESTAURANT IS BEING RAN LIKE A CONCENTRATION CAMP AND I’VE HAD SEVERAL EMPLOYEES COME TO ME NOT HAPPY. I’ve heard them down talk the employees cursing and threating them, I honestly think the store needs to be under new management, I’ve been a manager of a restaurant and I’m pretty sure the way they are running it that’s not the correct way. I also think the company needs to send someone Unhappy New Hire

I feel Dave Thomas is rolling in his grave and his daughter should be ashamed of Wendy’s, in Ormond Beach, Fl at 75 Williamson Blvd., Store #00002062.

Finally have decided this will be the last time to go to Wendy’s!!! Today, October 3, 2014 at 7:00 PM, my husband went to get us a Wendy’s #1, it took longer, because they told him they were doing fresh meat hamburgers, ok a littler longer should be fresh and hot, right?? Well when he brought our #1′s home they were less than warm, French fries cold, (must have been leftovers from lunch hour)…terrible meal!!! We only live2 miles from this Wendy’s, so meal should of gotten cold for the short distance. What a lousy mEal, thus was!!!

I think those who work there and those in corporate could care less, just give their order who cares what it’s like!! Rude, ignorant, hostile, people work there and it also must be true about corporate, also Wendy, Dave Thomas’ daughter really doesn’t care… Money, money, money, is what they want, but they won’t be getting mine any more, they could care less about the customer.

Note, please don’t have the store manager call me and offer a replacement, why would I want a replacement of a cold meal?

Please be assured that everyone I know will be told about cold meals from Wendy’s.

Dear Mr Brolick
I am very concerned about your Wendy’s. Restaurant. Located in Memphis tn at 3990 south third st.
I visited this location today at 3:11pm Oct 1.
I ordered a loaded potato, and a small Apple pecan salad. When I received my order I checked it befor leaving the drive thru
I was appalled at the appearance of the chicken that was n the salad it was 3 chunks of old dried up chix.
I told the cashier I wasn’t pleased with the presentation of the chix it wasn’t sliced and the serving was inadequate, I received the wrong dressing, instead of calling for the manager,or taking the initiative to solve the problem, she screamed in the back of the restaurant to tell employees the complaint,
The resolution was telling me that is the amount of chixt they put on the salad 3 of the female employers look out the window and just frown at me.
I was so upset I didn’t realize until I got home I wasn’t
given a receipt for my purchase,
I have worked in the food and hospitality business for over 20 years and I have never seen such lack of pride in an establishment such as this,
Wendy’s definitely need to redefine their motto
Because quality and freshness of products is not being fulfilled at this location, customer service skills are also lacking among the staff.
Mr Brolick I have noticed online Customer Service
And product quality is among the highest ranked
Complaints, this tells me two things, either you are hiring the wrong people to represent your brand,or the
Company itself doesn’t care about the people who are buying their product!
Wendy’s have been around since 1969
I would suggest if Wendy’s franchise’s. wish to remain open thru 2014, I would like to humbly recommend as CEO you start taking customer complaints very serious.and start resolving the problems, and spend more money on training staff.
I grew up with Wendy’s in our neighborhoods as a child,I would hate to see Wendy’s become only a
Memory, because of the closings, once customers no longer want to purchase food products because of
lack of concern and false advertising among this company.

When I mistakenly ordered a chocolate shake a few years ago, I was treated with the most delicious surprise. Since then, I have gone exclusively to Wendy’s when I get fast food so that I can enjoy the best chocolate shake if any fast food chain. I was disappointed yesterday when my local Wendy’s said they could not make a chocolate shake, just strawberry or vanilla. I cancelled my order and went to Subway. I decided to try again today. Again they said they could not make chocolate shakes, but they included the word “anymore”. They let me know that corporate has decided to discontinue all shakes. I am extremely disappointed and sad to say that I will not be choosing Wendy’s any more.

Bianka garcia September 29, 2014 at 6:19 pm

Hi my name is Bianka l. Garcia I have recently been employed at wendys August 30th 2014 at location 3801 west broward blvd and 441 Fort Lauderdale fl 33312 . Recently Friday night September 26, 2014 I left the wendys store during working hours because I felt as if I was being treated unfairly . My supervisor for the night Ms. Neicy deliberately payed hands on me when I did not get an order right and in a forceful manor pulled me and proceded to yell in my face. Feeling threaten I did nothing to retaliate she kept antagonizing me and falsely accused me to be on the telephone when I was clearly in range of a camera . She then refused me the privilege to use the bathroom 3 times unless I I exchanged my phone . Still antagonizing she repeatedly walk through the restaurant making remarks saying that me as well as two other employers are upsetting her and making threats and profanity that we better not make her go there because we are not going to like it. I then could not take any more threats so in fear my reaction was to walk out the store where I was locked out and let go for job abandonment . I feel like I was treated unfairly and am willing to take legal action if the matter is not at least discussed ! Thank you please get back to me – bianka garcia ( garcia.bXXXX@yahoo.com ) (954)774-XXXX
