Wendy's History

Wendy’s Old Fashioned Hamburgers was founded in 1969 by Dave Thomas in Columbus, Ohio.  The chain featured square hamburger patties and Frosties.

In 1970, Thomas opened a second location in Columbus.  This location would add the first modern drive thru window in 1971.

In 1972, the first franchise is sold.

By 1976, there are 500 restaurants and the company goes public.

In 1978, the 1000th location opens.

In 1979, Wendy’s was the first chain to introduce a salad bar.

By 1983, there are 2500 locations.

In 1985, the company merges with Tim Hortons.

By 1987, there are 5000 locations.

In 2002, founder Dave Thomas dies.

In 2006, the company headquarters is moved to Dublin, Ohio where they remain today.

In 2008, the company merged with Triac, owner of Arby’s.

Today, Wendy’s is the third largest hamburger fast food chain in the world with nearly 7000 restaurants worldwide.

I am writing about the Wendy’s in Boerne,Texas.

On Nov. 23, 2015 on the closing shift the hispantic manager had no employees at the front register, nor a employee in site. I yelled many times to try to get someones attention to refill my cup. Nobody came so i proceed to reach over the counter to refill my own cup. The manager came up and was very rude even after I explained that I tried to get service. He started trying to justify himself and became aurgmentive. Never did he apologize but demanded that I left. This is the same manager on many nights that locks all the doors to lobby anywhere from 30 mins. before they suppose to be to 1 hour before they suppose to be. He also allows his employees to hourse play with eachother, allows employees to play music on theor cell phones while working including the cashier at the register. He allows them to text and allows them to stand around in the lobby in packs talking to other employees that are not on the clock. He allows employees children in the back where food is being made, ect.
This manager definitely needs to be fired!

I visited the Wendy’s on N Cherry Rd in Rock Hill, SC and it was an unpleasant experience. My husband and I should have left after looking at all the flies taking over but we gave it the benefit of the doubt; wrong answer. Food was missing from our order and the fries were cold; not to mention none of the tables were cleaned. After consuming most of our burgers we looked down and realized that they were not fully cooked. We brought it to the attention of the manager and requested our money back. Well she was not happy about and proceeded to talk about us to the employees in the back and quite loudly. If that is what customer service is about then they won’t ever have mine again.

Today November 20, 2015 I visited the Wendy’s in Atlanta, Ga. On University and Pryor Road at 7pm 7:30pm I was in Drive Thru but there we’re a lot of cars so I parked and came in. First no one created me and then I had to ask was anyone working at this register then the young lady with two big braids said I am then I started my order which was 4- 4 piece chicken nuggets no sauce. There we’re customers that we’re already waiting I understand that. Then I waited and waited then I said to the manager with blonde and black hair with a braid on the said of her head and drive cashier we’re saying something so I said excuse me she didn’t respond so I said excuse mam still no response. So then I asked the cashier I said excuse me mam. How long does it take of 4-4 piece nuggets and the front cashier told me they had to drop some I told her she should have told me that cause I wouldn’t have never order I wanted along time. The manager heard me say excuse me her and the front drive thru lady was looking at me laughing so I asked the manager after i saw her fix three customers after I order I said excuse me to the manager again I said wow how lo long it take to fix 4- 4 piece nuggets with no sauce then she walked over to me after I tried several attempts to get her attention she said there is two orders in front of you so I finally got my food and when she was done fixing my order I saw them again taking the manger and the front drive thru lady with burguny and black hair was standing over by the fry station fixing my food she shove it in my had with no napkins and nuggets inside of the bag where the manager throwed them so I asked for the corporate office number so she called out to another manager to come up front I wanted no showed up to talk to me I was standing there like I was invisible the I went to my car to get my cell phone so I could call the corporate office when they gave me the number so when I came back in from my car I walked up and the the same manager that fixed my food gave me the number to the district manager Mr Osmand Martin but that’s not who I asked for so I reached to get the paper from her hand she shove the paper in my hand like she did my food so I told her I didn’t say anything when you shove my food in my hand but I’m not a dog then she starting yelling at me and started yelling back with a lobby full of customers and drive thru line almost in the street then she act like she was ready to fight so the whole crew grabbed her. I felt so disrespected I flew out the door I called the district manger Mr Osmond Martin and told him want happen I asked for the corporate office number I didn’t realize he was a district manager I thought I was calling corporate office so I told him what happened I never experienced nothing like this in any restaurant I have been in but Mr Osmond Martin called me back and said how sorry he was for what happened and if it wasn’t for the customers we wouldnt have a job but he said he couldn’t tell me Wendy’s discipline action is but he said that they don’t want a person working for them that makes a customer have a bad experience and that I can go get my 4-4 piece nuggets or combo on Wendy’s. But I want to make sure that for my inconvenience, disrespect and sham the was forced on me. The people I saw up front didn’t have name tags on and the front cashier was the only one with a hair net on the front drive thru person and the packer/ manager the reason I say she was a manager I asked for my money back and she walked up the front cashier with the keys and told to give me $4.28 out of a five dollar bill but the district manager said he didn’t have a light skinned manager I asked him if he wanted me to drive back to the store he said no then he said he was sorry for my experience and valued me as a customer I love Wendy’s but I just want to know why they gave me the district manager number instead of the corporate office I wanted to make sure that this doesn’t get sweat up under the rug I asked for my receipt back she wouldn’t give to me I didn’t sign anything and she took money out the front register with the key and gave me cash. I want my voice to be her they need to make sure employee have 100% satification not 100% dissatisfied.

The new soda fountains that everyone has switched to, is ruining the taste of your soda. It doesn’t matter what you order, it tastes like every flavor in the machine is in your glass. Horrible. Wendy’s used to have great tasting soda, but no more!
I can’t believe Coca-Cola lets this happen to their product. So much for quality control.

We went to the Wendy’s drive thru in Commerce, mi on 14 mile road. I ordered a fish sandwich combo, when we arrived at the next window to pay, I asked that no sauce be added, the cashier said the sandwich was already done, I was perplexed at how quickly I received this meal. When I ate my fish sandwich and fries I was very disappointed to realize that my food was cold and seemed old, ends of the fish were hard. My fiancé ordered a combo and experienced the same thing, disappointment with cold /old food. We did not go back to complain because the staff were rude and short after I asked about the calorie count in the fish sandwich and if their green tea was unsweetened. Upon parking to eat, I looked around the parking lot and drive thru, I saw that they were slow and had no other customers behind us. My question is why they didn’t cook our food fresh considering that they were not busy…The lady who cashed us out was pleasant but that did not make up for our bad experience there that day..Oddly enough I rarely eat at fast food chains, so I was looking forward to indulging on some hot, fresh fries and a fresh fish sandwich.

My daughter works here the Wendy’s in Baybrook Mall and I am about to make her quit
the managers there Sandra and Amanda are favoring an employee they lie for this girl named Mia. Mia lies and tells her grandmother she is at work and she is not! She goes to be with one of her multiple guy friends. These two mangers are liars and I dnt wnt my daughter around people like that the Head manager Debra doesn’t care either! Wendy Corporate needs to go and talk to these people and maybe even clean house because one people start to knw what’s going on behind the scenes they will not go there the atmosphere is bad to work in period. Sandra was pulling on my daughter’s shirt one day in front of a customer all because she wanted to ask her something and then she tries to have individual conversation with my daughter like” do u like me” my daughter is a minor and doesn’t need to speak to anyone in private for no matter but all of this is nothing but a glass of anxiety for her n me so I will be removing my daughter from this bad working non professional work space. I hope someone important sees this comment n go check n do some investigating because it needs it!

I am writing you about frequent friends and family complaints about th 25th Street location in Cleveland, TN. Over the passed several months the experiences continue to worsen. Frankly, I quit going to that particular Wendy’s due to bad tasting food and drink and poor service. Today, my daughter went to that location for a drive trough order and the orders were wrong and the order lacked straws, condiments or other parts of the order.

If that were my business, I would send fake customers to better understand the deficiencies and put out a new management sign.

I have to give Wendy’s in pikeville, ky a very strong compliment especially the Wendy’s at coal run the service is great from everyone. The main guy manager is great he pleases the customer.. Great job. I’m so glad ur not like one of the 100 McDonald’s in pikeville and charge for ranch for ur salad or chicken nuggets. Come on McDonald’s really u guys suck especially the one on cassidy blvd in pikeviile the managers suck and are extremely RUDE!! Keep up the good work Wendy’s!!!

I went to Wendy’s on 77th Parallell in Kansas City KS 66112 for breakfast today. I had previously sworn off coming here after receiving cold food, terrible customer service, and wrong orders. Today was no exception. What really bothered me though was the employee sitting across from me surfing the Internet on her computer. I don’t think that’s what your paying your employees to do. But it would explain the horrible attention to customer service.

I live in the area of Wendy’s store #1303 located at 1235 South Hairston Road in Stone Mountain Georgia. In the past year I have visited this location and have left unsatisfied. The customer service is unbelievably inadequate. Ninety percent of the time I leave with nothing because they do not have what I want, specifically potatoes and salads. I have asked cashiers, shift and store managers about this to no avail. Finally, I contacted Randy, the district manager in May or June. We have spoken on several occasions about this location. He has given me coupons and lunch on him. I told him I would visit the location a few more times as it is the closest to home and work. However, I mentioned concerns about the level of service. Specific incidences include the following:
Ordering potatoes and they had none.
Ordering potatoes and they had some but told me they did not (phoned manager after leaving). She told me to come back. I went back the next day and got free potatoes.
Ordering potatoes in drive thru, waiting, driving around to be told they had none.
Ordering a salad, paying, waiting only to be called to the counter to be told there were none. The truck did not come. When Chanti, the manager, came to the register to refund my money, she said they had a new system and there used to be a refund button. None of which is my concern.

This in addition to long wait times and filthy conditions such as flies in the dining room and greasy, slippery floors.

Wednesday, September 9th at 4:53PM I went to the drive thru. The panels on the menu were missing. When the person on drive thru, Tykeria, finally spoke she said, “Go ahead with your order.” I ordered a meal with the intention of using a coupon from Randy which I failed to mention when ordering. I asked about potatoes. There were none as usual. When I pulled around I mentioned the coupon. Tykeria huffed and said, “Can you do me a favor next time? Let me know when you have one of these.” She yelled for the manager saying, “Come do this!” Chanti, the manager, came and completed the order. Tykeria went around the corner and stared at us. I stared back until she looked away. In the meantime, I read the refrigerator which had prompts for people working in the drive thru. “Hello my name is. Would you like a 4 dollar meal, no hard buns, soft buns are happy buns and so on. The refrigerator was written on from top to bottom. Chanti came to the window grinning and asked if we would like ketchup.

I immediately called Randy to report yet another incident. I asked for the address to the corporate office as I feel I have exhausted all other efforts. There will not be a next time for me at store #1303. I am seriously considering eliminating Wendy’s from my diet.

I went to the wendys In Amsterdam, NY in the Town Square at 9:30pm on 10/13/15 and i had to go back at 10pm because the order wasnt right at all my spicy chicken wasnt even spicy chicken and it only had cheese no mayo and no lettuce. My fiances triple burger was suppose to be no tomato and there was tomato both times and his first burger wasnt wrapped right at all it was open and the mayo and ketchup was all over the bag and my second spicy chicken didnt have cheese or lettuce just little tiny bit of mayo, also the bake potato was cold and so were the fries, so the only thing they got right was the drinks. Also when i went back to return the food and ask for new food they laughed In our faces i have no idea what was so funny about getting an order completely wrong and they were very rude. It makes me never want to go to that wendys ever again. They give shitty service and don’t know how to treat their customers. I will NEVER go to that wendys, not even if some one paid me to go there.

Placed an order after waiting an excessive amount of time to get up to the counter at the Wendys on Dewey Ave in Rochester NY. The man ahead of me was so disgusted that he jumped over the bars to get out of line and get out of the poorly managed place. When I got home (7 min drive) my order of 4 pulled port sandwiches were stone cold. At the price of $4.99 apiece that is unacceptable. Poor service coupled with bad food is clear to me that this place doesn’t care about standards or their customers. This is the second time I have been in this Wendys and it’s always the same scenario. Now I can tell you that I will never step in this establishment again and will tell everyone I know to do the same. You are doomed with this attitude and standard of service. You better step it up or close it down!

I am very upset with the Wendy’s in Kodak tn I was there on 9/26/15 me and my daughter goes there alot but I will not be back if the manger Tina there I was waiting till my daughter came from the bathroom to order I have seen this young man before very nice to me and my family ever time we have been in there I was standing there I heard him say please don’t talk to me that way she screamed an said you don’t like it clock out an leave he went back working about a minute later my daughter came out heard the manger scream get back here in this office we left I was not going to eat my daughter ask me why that lady was screaming she it’s very rude I promise you I will not be back if she is there and I make sure my friends and family want be there to

I am in Pittsburgh PA. I worked at Wendy’s, it’s one of their training locations. Hands always washed, gloves always on, hair always polled back. Never leaning. I was proud to say I worked there. Trained in different areas of the restaurant. If business is slow find things to do. When I go to a Wendy’s Restaurant I expect to see hair pulled back, look busy and be respectful at all times. Westview, PA location needs to have their hair(dreadlocks) pulled back too. Especially when making sandwiches.

I saw the commercial of the pulled pork with slaw and it looked Great! However I went to Bainbridge Ga to purchase this combo with the sweet sauce and got home to find a quarter of meat and a teaspoon of slaw! Wow very disappointed! So all it was was a huge piece of bread I bought along with Soggy fries! This Wendy’s needs some help in the kitchen!

The second time I called the listen to me I heard them breathing then the hung up again in the middle of me talking . I think Wendy’s needs a makeover.Wendy’s needs to put in a High tech arcade room,bowling alley,gift shop,interactive travel destination TVs ,other city’s and country’s need to be shown.All seats inside the restaurant needs the comfort of a recliner.Sports TVs should be all around the restaurant.Credit card slots with computerised menus should be built into the tables.The same around the walls of the restaurant.This reduces wait time.Video slot machines with no pay out should be installed.

I talk to Wendys they had this very, very , rude he said he was from Wendys Claims he ask me some questions about what and told me I didn’t have the food so how can I prove I had food poisoning WOW what was I suppose to do take my vomit and stool out the toilet and save it for him to see Really some thing really needs to be DONE about this so call Claims adjusted I had to be admitted into the hospital for gastroenteritis/ food poisoning / Leukocytosia I hope that very Rude Claims adjusted can feel what felt to be food poison have some one him can he prove he had food poisoning ii’m still not 100/0 the antibiotics they gave me in the hospital make me sick all over again All the side effects they Listed I have all of them they Will and going to be Responsible for what happen to me I’m going Evey one health department, federal trade commission ECT. I went to Wendy’s @ 1175 Dunn ave in Jacksonville , Florida, 32218 September 06, 2015,Saturday and order chicken nuggets no salt fries when I finish eating I felt pain in my stomach on the left and right i went to the bathroom i start throwing up I had diarrhea I went to bed after all of that terrible I woke up about 4:00am Sunday morning it was worse I start throwing up again and diarrhea it was so bad I call 911 they took me to the emergency room the Doctors said I had Gastroenteritis/ food poisoning

My grandson is a new employee at wendys. .and I am stunned over the way one particular manager treats the employees. .most days he works a 9hr shift and is never given a break or a lunch..if the employee is over 18 ohio law says you don’t have to give breaks so she doesnt..(only to minors)could not imagine going to work daily and never getting a break..he is scheduled 7 days a week. .sometimes 3-4 hrs in morning and 5-6 that evening. .I’m guessing this wendys doesn’t want to keep employees working there long ..I guess that’s why there is always a new crew..can’t keep staff…

Wendy’s on Fraser Blvd Memphis TN 38127 sure leaves alot to be desired. After walking 3 miles to get dinner forkur family we get home and the burgers were dried up burnt and disgusting. My partner went back and asked for them to be replaced. They said sure but you have to pay for them. After walking back home another 3 miles we were ready to eat. Of course these were the same dried out burnt pieces of meat. We sent in a complaint via email and the manager Devin Walker said her first concern was customer satisfaction and would replace the meals at no charge. So we called today to see if she was there because we were going to go back for lunch. She said what they gave us was jr burgers but instead of honoring her word she decided to argue about what we ordered and paid for. Oh well Wendy’s you have lost another since your doors first opened customer. If you even care. We certainly won’t be back.

I’m a 73 year old senior. I have been going to the same Wendy’s in Romeoville, Il., for quit a few years. Always order the 99cent Jr. cheese burgers with lettuce and tomato slice added.
I was told years ago, that if you want lettuce and tomato added to each burger, just ask to have them added, because I was told that every customer does not want lettuce and tomato on their burger, and that there is no extra charge for adding them on to the burgers.
A new girl took my order for the burgers and was charging me extra money for the lettuce and tomato slice per burger.
I tried to question when the extra charge for the lettuce and tomato slice per burger when into effect.
She, arrogantly said to me ” that the extra charge for the lettuce and tomato slice per burger, was always added to the price per burger.”
I tried to explain to her that, I never in the years that i ordered burgers did I pay an extra charge for lettuce and tomato slice being added to my burger orders
She was very arrogant and rude, would not let me talk, kept on trying to talk over me. She said that,” Her night Manager, he told her that there was always an extra charge for the 99cent Jr. cheese burgers. And also that all the store shift supervisors and managers were wrong”.
Has there always been an extra charge for lettuce and tomato slice per burger?. I don’t mind paying extra, as long I am told so, and I then can decide if I want to pay for the extra charge.
That arrogant person of whom took my order, in my opinion should not be dealing with customers until she learns how to deal with customers with out being arrogant and rude to them, allowing them to speak and ask questions, without being a ( know-it-all / everyone else is wrong).

I had my wallet sold for one of the cleaning girls . My kids had to go. Use the restroom. So i waited in the hallway next to our table. We was eating at. I forgot my wallet, at the table. So, i asked her about my wallet. She then acted like , she don’t pick anything up. I will never ever go back to the Wendy’s restaurant. They are something. Else. If she need some money i would have gaven her some. Just remember God know how you are!!!!

Well first of all Wendy’s company employed hand books said it all its because of bad management each managers and each store is different we canny blame the CEO or Wendy’s establishment its the people you work with Wendy’s in my book is the best company I work for that’s why I came back to work for them my store managers is good to me the asst managers is good few managers smoke alot you are on your own teenagers don’t care about customer service I feel like only employee working at my shift teenagers are on there cell phones etc Ivan not the managers but it seems like I want the shoe made I do even there are other employed have more years them me I am the best of the best at Wendy’s I can do many things pay and title working as professional or etc but for now I am here doing my thing at Wendy’s I work very hard every day rest don’t care I not only serve good customer service but I also do many things I’m doing many positing at one time Wendy’s you got the best employee here many store will love to have me to come and work for them only if Wendy’s hire wise employees who next work no offense to any teenagers they are young so they do what they do best but it doesn’t matter they are old enought to fill the application then they know what work ethic are lazy ness is the keyword here bottom all bad management managers are hard on hard working employee they let lazy employees what they want smoke often eat on line talking not attempting customers at place I work is same its time Wendy’s CEO and those who play important role at Wendy’s establishment should do something about this asap please not for me but for the company and for good hard working employees let’s start buy ratings all employees if Wendy going to hire younger teens only 15 hours a week let’s not hire full of teenagers at the whole store if you put them to together it’s part time then managers pick your managers well I will have one company at a time to prove there company since I work at Wendy’s I know in and out of the customers service and employees coworkers first I am the best not now but soon I am leaving Wendy’s will loose the best worker in history of employees I am the the low pay investment for the company I didn’t want to be a managers its not because a million or bilion dollar pay nor very important position like the CEO or etc nor you have million plus employees under you it’s fast food you get below average pay you manage five employees and it’s a very simple job still smarts cannt do there best it’s sad now I am getting to the best part if CEO or any important people at Wendy’s sees this please use my advise customers has option the option to go any were we don’t need to be on our knees but treat the customers as it’d your business if you care customers service will be great if you don’t it’s will not do good and Wendy’s image goes down first adaptation please make change shift supervisors and asst managers should be combine merge into one there new title position will be called crew lead no more managers power or pay or status the year will be paid ten dollars per hour no more salary there uniform will be red cotton T-shirt no pressure managers status only three crew lead per store also there pay cap off at twelve dollars per hour also one manager the store manager no more using general manager title then all regular crew there uniform will also be red to shirt no more this material only cotton T-shirt these have are uncomfortable also all teens will have only fifteen hours a week rest older employees will get thirty hours a week each store will have fifteen employees Max not to exceed this number we are not McDonalds we are Wendy’s no more fifty percent off only twenty five off this is for crew lead and regular crew only store managers eat free then let’s have all recycle things knives forks spoon once we have are too good also napkins like taco bell brown color type napkins cups one style size large museum and small get rid of rest of size grill chicken takes too long employees takes these elimated this grill chicken of the menu also there things should be looking into one size of chili cups large no more small other menu items should bee look at close review elimated what no TB popular like triple burger and spice nugget may change will help Wendy’s company let’s do all the above I wrote each Wendy’s will do better hire more hard worker less of teens thank you let’s start by moving around managers

I live in Lancaster Ohio, my daughter works at Wendy’s on east main. One of the managers is very lazy, Disrespectful to the employees n customers. I have seen her yell n desrespect the girls n when I said something to her she told me to stay out of it, it is not any of my business. She has had the girls crying. My daughter has came home crying cuz this manager has told her that she is stupid n can’t do nothing. My daughter is 17 years old n very shy n this lady is treating my daughter n the other girl like, this is not OK. This managers name is Debbie Conner. I am really upset for the way she is with the girls n my daughter n the customers. Thank you.

My daughter just quit working at your Franklin Kentucky #106 after working over 2 years. Due to the. Treatment and poor attitude of management and some employees. I took her there tonight for something to eat and some employees started making comments that they can’t believe we had the nerve to eat there and while at work they’re posting rude comments on Facebook. Just because she don’t work there anymore doesn’t mean she shouldn’t be treated like any other customer… I asked an employee for the corporate number and he came back to me and said the manager refused to give it to me ..I Will not be eating there again. I have lived here 57 years and have never seen a restaurant run as bad as that one …most of the employees are rude and your manager s. Are not in control of thing’s there…..I Would NOT recommend. Eating there to anyine

My husband and I got double cheese combos from Wendy’s in Jeannette, pa and now we are both throwing up and diarrhea at the same time. I called my doctor and he said it is definitely food poisoning. I called Wendy’s and a manager named dave is who I spoke to. I told him my problems and I want my money back and he said no. He also said “that’s the chance you take eating fast food!” Really? Why in the hell does he have a job there? I will take this further and I WILL call my attorney in the morning. There is no reason I should be treated like this by anyone, especially this man and to have him be so ignorant to me. I want action taken…..

It is a sad state of affairs when Wendy’s as a major contributor to a strong, recovering economy is finally brought to their knees because of a management team that is running amuck. A new store introduced to the Los Banos area of California should be under investigation; especially since the store isn’t five years old and the turnover ratio is staggering to say the least. I have enjoyed Wendy’s for many years but I fear that Wendy’s future is about to come to a close. If there is anyone out there who is genuinely concerned at this office it would behoove you to consider taking a close look at what is going on at this site.

I currently work for wendy’s and i am very disappointed. they would not let me have wednesday nights and sundays off at desired times for religious issues and i don’t think its right its discrimination and its against my human rights and they never gave me a schedule never told me what i was getting paid after i got hired or nothing. the manager told me that work is more important than church which offended me due to my religious beliefs.

I went to the wendys on St. Charles Avenue in new orleans, i ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and half way through it i discovered a part of a worm. That is the most discusting thing ever. i contacted the store they were very nice about it but non the less i will not eat at Wendys again!

I don’t know how many times I have seen management on Raden Dr, Land O Lakes, FL not care about their customers or employees. There’s a blonde manager who is the worst! I’ve had several problems with her alone, that has made me never want to return to this location. I’m only reporting to this website because management there has done nothing to fix this. She’s rude, yells at her employees right behind the registers, and I have seen so many new employees that I don’t see a few weeks later. What’s going on Wendy’s?!?!

I live in Chattanooga tn and Wendy’s on shallowford rd is absolutely horrible . Crew smoking in the lobby. Managers smoking in the office . Molded strawberries on the sink which a manager ask a staff to pick through them and put them on a salad. A razor was found in the trash in the prep area where food is made. A crew member preparing food with no gloves on at all. I find this to be disgusting and unprofessional . I’m thinking about contacting the local health department here. This is unacceptable especially when people are paying money for what they think is a good meal.

To who it may concern,
I went to the Wendy’s in Denver Colorado store#00000563!!!!! And what a poundsy sceem they have going their!!!! And the MANGER Is involved as well!!! Her boyfriend is working the the security and they working with the tow company!!!! I pulled up to go to Wendy’s and ran into another store real quick bfore went into Wendy’s ! Came out my car was towed!!!! But the rest of the cars was still their so I was confused!!! So I went in and ask to speak to a manager! She said her name was Brittany Nelson night manager!!!! Very rude!!!! And was getting smart!!!! I just didn’t know Wendy’s was part of something like that!!!! I’m am VERY UPSET!!!! Now I have to pay a $209.00 tow fee!!!!!!! For ordering food from Wendy’s !!!!!! I’m going to trying to contact someone about this issue!!! This not right!!!

That is not right that she called the towing company..I just can’t stand RUDE people if they don’t like their job do something else.. I also had a very bad experience with a Wendy’s restaurant.. There’s nothing like being served a half raw piece of chicken from the Wendy’s in imlay city, mi then when you go to call there to complain because your out of town and on the road you can’t go back, their phone continues to be busy like it’s of the hook for over half hour.

I would like to start by saying thank you for your response, but in regards to the issue I had when at a Wendy’s location my question still has not been answered, nor does a free meal that is less than what I paid that day, fixing the issue at hand. I was told that Wendy’s stopped doing the refund for no receipt standard years ago and I know I have been there more recent than that and saw the stickers on the window stating that. I also think the level of customer service was completely unsatisfactory. To the point that I have not been back to Wendy’s at any location since and a offer for a free combo meal definitely does not persuade me. Thank you anyway, but as I stated to them at the store that day. I’m not looking for anything free, I just expect more from your establishment.

I went to Wendys at 12:25 AM & ordered a JR Bacon Cheeseburger with a 10 piece nuggets & a large fry. Once I arrived home to eat my food I bit into my cheeseburger & the middle or the pattie was pink (raw)! I reported it to Corporate & am waiting to hear back, safe to say I will not waist my money at another Wendy’s again!

while vacationing in pigeon forge tenn. we stopped into wendys to grab dinner aside the fact the place was so slow it took 20 minutes to get our food, as we were almost finished up my daughter started vomiting on the floor wheni looked she had gotten a bake potato and when she flipped the skin over it had not one but FIVE! bugs the size of my thumbnail on the potato! this in return started a chain reaction of myself throwing up as I walked it to the counter the girl at the register grabbed it quickly before I could take a picture and ask me if she would like another one! totally disgusted I walked out an didn’t say a word before I started to vomit again! I have no idea why anyone would think id want another potato from wendys ever much less ten minutes after getting one that was so disgusting!

Recently went to Wendy’s close to my house in Oxnard, CA – after waiitng 15 minutes in drive-thru without any movement 4 cars plus myself left. We all went across the street to McDonalds where my $56 order was served in approx 4 min.

Tonight I went through the drive thru as I usually do a few times each week as a regular customer. I have let things go in the past until now. I ordered kids meals for my children. After I had already paid and had waited about 15 minutes, I learned that they were out of chocolate milk, white milk and juice. I also ordered apples with their meals. They were also out of frostys AS USUAL EVERY time I go there. Once I got home, we had no apples at all. Just a bunch of cold fries. the chicken in the kids wraps were also cold and the chicken looked as if it had been recooked several times. Not to mention, we got no straws to drink our drinks even after we were obligated to get sodas which we don’t usually drink. This is nothing he first time we’ve had issues with this particular location. Last time we visited they were also out of milk, juice and frostys. I’m beginning to wonder if those items are going to be discontinued? Or has someone just forgot to order these items several weeks in a row? Like I said these simple problems have occurred with each of my visits in the past several weeks and has discouraged me from ever visiting Wendy’s again! I know things sometimes get missed and people make mistakes, but not the same mistakes over and over! My personal opinion, I don’t believe a place that offers optional healthy items for children should ever run out of those items. I was already upset that I had to wait over now 20 minutes for three kids meals. The last time Ivisited here they were out of shredded cheese,SHREDDED CHEESE? REALLY? and instead they cut up slice cheese to put in the kids wraps? Not professional at all! The employees are always super nice, don’t get me wrong. However, I believe all these mistakes fall directly into managements hands, for ultimately they are the ones responsible for making sure all operations are ran in order. I would appreciate if someone could respond to my concerns I have addressed? I have visited this particular location two to three times per week for the past couple of years and honestly, since the remodeling of the building, the only thing that has impressed me is the building is quite nice but my experiences here lately have been way below sub-par.

i am not an employee of wendy’s but the wendy’s at 11760 Oakhurst Rd largo fl, had me go in there store while they were closed and had me work. i am going to sue the for business malpractice because any shift manager should know not to let someone in after they were closed let alone get free labor out of them.

I had just been fired from the Wendy’s of Durand Mchigan. I was very mistreated. I got fired ony 90 days. My 90 days was up the exact day I got fired. Here is a list of how your company managers treated me.
1. Almost all managers were very rude and disrespectful. I had gotten 3 write ups in no time at all. Management was very happy to give me. Two is particular were even worse. One wrote me up because as she puts it “talking back to management and was bitching about her. Walked away from another employee offering help with dishes” that is not the case in the slightest. I was already off the clock when this manager had said she “talk” to me. It wasnt talking she had completely disrespected me and yelled at me off the clock. I had gotten another write up that was detailed to many customer complaints. The problem with this was I got both write up at the same time and not even an hour after the second one had accured. Was talk to once and I received both write up at the same time which were givin to me by a whole different manager. Both managers who gave me the two write ups were having me try to take orders at the back cash register window when I had not been trained to do so until weeks after the occurrences. When I told the head general manager about these issues she told me that they were being dismissed because they were not properly handled. But I was lied to and the two write ups stayed. And then the third write up and final write up was givin to me before I had clocked in on 7/13/2015. This write up stated that I had not been doing my duties at all over this prior weekend and that I was taking to much time cutting and doing bacon and that I should not of been doing so. I was accused of not properly sweeping or mopping the floor when my schedualed time has already being over. I was told I was suppose to have something cleaned when I was never told to have cleaned before. Example : Satursday 7/11/2015 I left after 10:00pm. There had been nothing left for me to complete. At midnight on Sunday 7/12/2015 a fellow coworker was sent home sick as I was told hours later before 4:00pm that day, the general manager and an assistant manager had to come in to fill in. When they arrived at Midnight on Sunday I was told they had to clean backroom floors and do everything that I was suppose to have completed before I left. As stated before all my work had been completed and the night manager at the time okayed it and sent me home.
2. The minors at the store when on the clock were always on their cellular devices and not doing the job assigned to them. A few in particular were eating product in the middle of drive thru while I not having trained in taking orders was being told and depanded to take orders and give out change.
3. I was not able to do my back register duties properly because managment was not allowing me the time to do so. Example: I was told not to cut the bacon for the bacon pans all the way through. Every time I had been schedualed for a shift of 4pm until 10pm I had not been able to do any other duties except collect payment and give change for 4 to 5 hours of the shift because of high custumor activity. No other duties assigned were not able to completed by me because of high customer activity.
4. I was never trained properly. Every thing that I was suppose do was not explained for me to understand. I was giving my duties and expected to fofill them without any instruction on how to do them properly. Example: as stated before I was not trained to take orders at cash drive thru Window until recent and was still working on improving the skill because I was only given the register and there was no one there to correcting me if I had made a mistake.
5. I was not able to take breaks that were needed such as restroom when needed. Because of high customer activity and having no one to cover my station as I use the restroom I was forced to stay where I was.
6. My shifts where to short to have breaks or I called off multiple times in one week when scedualed. A minor who had been hired the same day I had was getting her 29 hours a week and then some extra hours. I barely made 10 hours a week, if I was lucky 20.
7. I had never been trained on anything except one task for two months if employement. I was doing fries and nugget station and nothing more. I was getting supplies for front line when it was not assigned to me.

This list is of mistreatment is why I am complaining as an ex-employee and will be telling future applicants not to apply for this company.

You are absolutely right Wendy’s don’t treat their employees right. My daughter works there, she’s straight A student has never gotten in trouble at school or home she’s the perfect kid but when she came home crying wanting to give her 2 weeks notice I knew something wasn’t right. The manager was yelling in her ear as well as talking about employees to other employees About their weight and race which is totally unacceptable as a manager I hope and pray that something will be done or its go be a big mess because people are not playing when it comes to their child being mistreated on the job when all their trying to do is make it besides all that work they do for minimum wage is just embarrassing.

I just wanted to inform the corporate office about the “new” taste of the Honey Mustard dipping sauce. I tried it today 7/13/15 and it has an over powering spicy effect that burns my nose! Very disturbing, I could barely finish eating my chicken nuggets.. I’d much rather have the original version of this sauce back because it Tastes soo much better!!! Please and thanks!
