The company’s technology use science to map people’s facial expressions into emotions to emotion-enable digital apps so that they can become more responsive and interactive to the user’s emotional state.
Affectiva was founded by Rana el Kaliouby , who is the current Chief Strategy and Science Officer. El Kaliouby was named one of the “7 Most Powerful Women to Watch in 2014” by Entrepreneur and has been inducted into the “Women in Engineering” Hall of Fame.
