Skechers History

Skechers was founded in 1992 by father and son Robert and Michael Greenberg.  Robert was the former founder of LA Gear.  Skecher was originally planned to import and distribute Doc Martens but soon decided to manufacture and sell their own line.

By 1993, after a lawsuit, the company stopped distributing Doc Martens.  The same year, the company introduced the “Chrome Dome”, its first successful shoe.

In 1997, the company began selling footwear in Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe.

By 1998, the company had 30 of its own stores and over 2200 retail accounts.  The company also enters the athletic footwear category.

In 1999, the company goes public.

In 2012, the company paid $40 million to settle a class action lawsuit stemming from claims that its Shape Ups helped people lose weight..

I am not one who writes comments or contacts businesses but I feel like this time I need to. I purchased my daughter a pair of sneakers for the 2019 school year. I happen to see the bottom of them the other day and they are torn up. My daughter has only been wearing them since September 6th! I will not purchase Skechers again. Product is pricey but cheaply made.

I tried calling corporate to speak to someone in human resources and left a voice mail but have not yet had a response so I decided to come here to write about our experience this weekend. Lo and behold I find that poor customer service seems to be unfortunately prevalent. I’ll tell you about our experience.

This past Sunday May 26,2019 at around noon my husband and I went into your store located in Miami, Florida at 7171-7186 SW 117th Avenue I believe it is store 068. We were looking for a pair of sneakers for me that would be good for Crossfit. I found a pair I liked and tried it on in a 6.5 and it was just a little bit big on me but the 6 was tight. I wanted to put them on hold for about an hour so I could go somewhere else to see if I found a different pair that fit me better. I got in line and was second in line. In front of me was a lady with one pair of shoes and there was only one cashier. There was one customer at the register paying but she was looking for coupons, changing her mind about things and the entire transaction took a good 10 minutes. By this time I looked back and there were 6 more people behind me. The customer is still paying. My husband who is at the front of the store asks the manager if he can put something on hold and come back in about an hour to pay for it. The manager says no. “no you can’t leave with the sneakers and come back later to pay for them”. My husband says “I’m sorry, obviously I didn’t explain myself correctly” to which the manager replies “Obviously you didn’t”. A second later an employee interrupts them and asks the manager if she can pay for several pairs of shoes she wants . By this time the customer that was taking a long time for her purchase is finishing up. The manager says yes to the employee and lets her cut in front of the lady that was in front of me and the rest of the line that has by this time grown. My husband sees this and asks the manager if he thinks it is a good idea to allow an employee to cut in front of all the customers. The manager lies and says that she had been waiting in line which she had not. My husband tells him that he is mistaken. The manager says yeah whatever. My husband tells him “I guess we are both having a bad day”. The manager answers “You are having a bad day; I am having a great day”. On a side note the manager’s appearance left a lot to be desired. His Tshirt was just about three sizes too small and he was just plain rude. We love your products, but believe that additional resources need to be dedicated to training your staff. This is the fourth time that I am contacting you and I was a little surprised that I received no response at all. My problem is that ignorantly I ordered a pair of Skechers Swingstar on line because the price was right ($59.49) and I always wanted a pair of Skechers because of their advertised comfort. I did not realize that the product was man-made. I have worn them twice and I cannot wear them anymore because they absolutely kill my feet. I was just hoping that you would allow me to exchange these for a better leather pair. I will gladly pay the difference. I just hate throwing money out the window. Please respond in some way. Anything that you could do would be greatly appreciated.

I purchase a pair of “bobs” shoes the ones with the sparkle on top of them. with in one month the tops tore. I tried to exchange them in the store in Nashua nh. they told me they couldn’t and I would have to contact the corp office. what a pain in the neck. never buying these again!

Hello on Sunday Oct 21st I visited your store #234 at Ellenton Premium Outlets Florida. I spoke with the clerk working that day about the defect I have on the shoes I was wearing.The style is #50081WNV. The issue is that the bonding is coming apart which she noted on the back of the business card. I am a resident living in Canada and told her that the shoes were purchased the last week in July that was the last trip to Florida. I do not have the receipt. I bought these sneakers in May, at the shoe Dept in Olean ny. I have never had a pair wear out like this before! The whole toe part is coming apart! I paid over $50. For these! I work indoors at a high school and always buy sketchers! But this is not exceptable! I would like to send you a photo of them. But not sure how.

On 3-1-18 my 90 year old mother purchased a pair of Bobs Chill Luxe Traveler shoes. Only wore them three times and the back grommet along with the lacing broke. I really think these should last longer than 3 days wear. I personally would not recommend the product but she loves Sketchers. Still have the sale receipt, but the store no longer has any in stock.

I work on a military base. I do telecommunications work. I run fiber optics, copper and coax. I am on my feet all day. I get Skechers steel toe shoes. I have gone through 3 pair in 7 months. They have all done the same thing. The inside heel falls apart. I untie my shoe to take off and put on. They are the most comfortable steel toes I have worn until the heel falls apart. Then they hurt my heels. I am sending pictures of my shoes. They still look brand new, except for the inside heel. I can’t keep spending $100 every 2 months. I am wearing a pair of wolverines the shoe store here recommended. They are not nearly as comfortable. The shoe store on base states that the heel falling apart on the Skechers is a common problem. Please help!

I just need my son’s shoes replaced! I have 4 children and one of my son’s loves sketcher shoes.. But the last pair has fallen apart. And it’s really hard buying shoes for 4 children already all the time, and noe I’ve sent in pics of the shoes and everything they need to replace them and I get no reply. Please someone help me with this. I do not want to wait another 2 weeks on a reply.

I will NEVER deal directly with Sketchers again! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Again, I can’t get them to refund the shoes I returned. The customer services people are useless, but then again, they work for a horrible company. I love their shoes, but I will buy through a third party so I don’t have to deal with these idiots ever again.

I bought. Pair of memory foam work shoes made by Skechers. They are less than 60 days old and have totally fell apart. I do not wear these at a job site as I’m retired. Just around my house in the garden.. The soles have completely separated from the shoe. They are junk now. At 39.99 I would have expected them to last longer than 60 days

I LOVE your shoes, but your customer service is HORRIBLE! I sent a pair of shoes back a month ago and still haven’t received my refund. I emailed customer support ten days ago and got an automatic response, that’s it- I haven’t heard a thing. So I emailed again three days ago and still no response. I just now tried to call customer service and received a message telling me to call during business hours-which it was-and yes I calculated the three hour timer difference. What do I have to do to get someone to look into why I haven’t received my refund?? I’m ready to go to the Better Business Bureau, I’m that fed up. If SOMEONE would be kind enough to help me, I REALLY appreciate it!

Also why can’t you take telephone orders? With today’s technology, that puts you in with the Amish. A couple of months ago your website wasn’t working, and after two hours gave up and tried to phone in my order. I was pretty shocked that I couldn’t make a phone orders

I have worn Skechers for many years because they are very comfortable. I have never had a problem until now. My mother bought me several pair of skeckers last year during the summer for my birthday and sent them to me. since I work on my feet most of the time. I have been taking a pair out of my closet every few months to wear. Last month I pulled out a pair to wear and they both had the same size in the shoes but they are 2 different sizes. The right foot is bigger and left foot is to small. Yes I know one foot is usually bigger than the other but this is ridiculous. I put them up against one another and you can tell one is bigger than the other even when they both have same size in the shoe. I can’t return them because it has been awhile and my mother probably doesn’t have the receipt. She also lives down in the southern part of our state. I can’t give them away bc no one will be able to wear them bc if the difference. So I am stuck with shoes that no one can wear.

My order # 11500458 – style # 76592 was placed on 6/28/17 in a Brandon, Florida Sketchers store. All of my work shoes are shape ups! All of my sandals are Sketchers. All I buy for my husband and daughter is Sketchers! After being told that shape ups are no longer available I went to numerous locations trying to find sketcher work shoes. NO LUCK! I am on my feet 12-13 hours a day at work! The shoes were ordered on line and when they arrive NIB one shoe was a size 7 and the other shoe was a size 7.5 – 2 shoes – 2 sizes!! I spoke to customer service and she was rude and of no help! I am returning the shoes to the store and apparently forced to buy from another work/comfort shoe vendor such as Clarks or Anyone else Very comfortable – but not sketchers!! How do you allow such terrible service by your employees and no consideration or concern for the customer! I am extremely upset and disappointed by the service I received all around!! Nothing was offered to compensate me for this insane inconvenience nor was any kind of resolution offered to rectify this situation. I can not understand how I told by your customer service staff to either keep them or just ship them back for a refund!! This is no way to treat a customer! EVER!! I wanted these shoes since you do not carry shape ups – thick ones – and I receive two different sizes in one box and that is the answer I receive!! As I stated, I will be returning the shoes to the store however, I would truly like to receive a response from someone in the corporate office to discuss this matter personally! I spend a large amount of money on Sketchers product every year only to be treated so very unprofessionally and disrespectful! I have a suggestion. I love your memory foam sneakers. I work in a lab and have to stand and walk around a lot, and these are the best. However, I wish they looked more professional. You guys have Oxford shoes for men with memory foam in them, but why not for women? I want something that has the memory foam, is made out of a sturdy material (like leather), something that laces up and is flat. A lot of women’s “comfortable” work shoes are clogs, which loosen up quickly so they’re not easy to walk in. Also, usually companies add a bit of a heel to women’s work shoes which does not feel good when you stand on your feet all day. Please make comfortable women’s oxfords!! Thanks!

P purchase a pair of “EHS” “WORKX” ……Worst pair of shoes I have ever owned, after about three months my feet began to hurt so bad I can no longer whear them. I bought a pair of gel inserts with no relief. My right inner arch took about a week to get back to normal. It seem as though the memory matrial used in the shoe has a bad case of “Alshiemers”.. I loved my Go Walk 3s, so I bought 2 pair of Go Walk 4 slip-ons. The pink ones I have been wearing with socks for about a month. Now that it’s warmer, have been wearing them without socks. As you can see, my left to seems to have a rash in the shape of the material, but the rest if my feet are fine! Have not started wearing my second pair. Attached are pics. Do u think the left shoe toe box is too small? I luv the shoes but want to wear them all summer without socks! I don’t have this problem with my old dark blue Go Walk 3s but they are wearing out. Please give me some ideas, thanks!

i got a pair of skechers shape ups i broken my leg in half there was alot of people got hurt before they took them off the market all of us have waited three years my foot will never be the same it is now deform as many more but we have never heard a word from them i call my lawyer every now an then an have for three years i hear it will be a few more months as they make all kinds of money everyday but don’t care about who they hurt i lay in bed at night my foot a leg locks up an hurts so bad i have had many surgery i can’t wear just any shoe thanks for everything you did for me an many others do we have to wait three more years

I am a Senior golfer (78) and have a few issues when I get to the course in getting my shoes on & tied. This may sound stupid but a lot of us are restricted in our movements. Whe doesn’t Sketchers offer a golf shoe with a velcro flap instead of shoe laces The only company that , as far as i know, is Nike but their price is restrictive for retirees (199.99). If you offered one for a reasonable price I feel you would sess a million ir more considering the ladies would probable appreciate them also. Food for thought. Sirs- I love your shoes and have bought many pairs over the years. This Summer I bought a pair of your Schech-Air Memory Foam shoes and have worn them 5 times. They kill my feet. I was very disappointed, put them aside and bought another pair. They have been wonderful. 2 weeks ago I bought a pair of your Mens Work, Slip Resistance, Relaxed Fit, Memory Foam Shoes and have worn them 3 times. I could barely walk by the end of my Shift. . I work as a Sergeant in our County Jail and do a lot of walking. I measure my feet each time I buy shoes due to the fact our feet change ( I’m 58)and all shoes are different .I plan in my budget to purchase shoes and this had killed me financially as well as my feet. Went into Skechers on West 34th Street in NYC on 3/17/17 at 3:00 PM.

Picked out 3 pairs of shoes and went to the cashier. The cashier asked whether I had a 20% coupon sent via email. I did not so I logged into my Skechers acct to look for a coupon. The cashier asked to see my phone, THEN REDEEMED MY SKECHERS POINTS WITHOUT ASKING ME. SHE HAD NO RIGHT TO DO SO THEN COULD NOT PUT THE POINTS BACK INTO MY ACCT. She should LOSE HER JOB FOR THAT.

The numb nuts of a manager did absolutely nothing but give me the phone # of customer service which sucked more than Skechers employees.

So my points are gone and I got no shoes.
Since this is so outrageous I have filed complaints about this incident on every complaint website I could find. I think this is the 7th or 8th complaint I’ve filed.

The customer service at this company is the worst that I have experienced. No response to e mail inquiries. The only response I received was an apology for the lack of response and a request that I resubmit my inquiry. I did so, but once agiain, no response. I give up.

Good morning!! It’s De’Borrah again Tuesday I was called to schedule an interview at the East flamingo skechers outlet in Las Vegas, Nevada. At 8 PM Tuesday night I was called by one of the assistant managers to come in for an interview when she called I missed the call on accident because my phone was on loud. She leaves a A voicemail saying “Hi the border this is Kristi I was wondering if you could come in for an interview if you’re still interested you can call me back tonight or early tomorrow” Five minutes later I call her back and employee picks up and he sounds very happyhe says thank you for calling sketchers and lets me know about the deals that they’re having that night. I told him “Hi my name is the De’Borrah I was called from this number referring to scheduling an interview” immediately his voice changed and it almost sound as if he was irritated and he replied to me ” oh the manager isn’t even in, I can tell her to give you a call in the morning”. Now I’m thinking to myself how could that be and she just called me five minutes ago literally, so I said okie dokey that’s fine , thank you and he hung up. Three minutes later the system manager Christie called me back I pick up five minutes into the conversation she tells me “yeah well I would like for you to come In for an interview & one of the three assistant managers will interview you..if you’re still interested?” In my head I’m thinking to myself why does she keep asking me if I’m still interested? So I tell her of course, yes ma’am, she says “Ok great you can come in at 12 PM the interview will maybe be an hour to an hour and 20mins, One of the managers is going to show you around the store” . Finally at the end of the conversation she tells me this time you come to the interview don’t come looking so fancy-shmancy” just come casual. I just politely told her Okay, when really I felt offended because all I was wearing was interview attire which is a button up , a pair of slacks ,sweater, and heels because that’s what I were to all my interviews no matter where it is, because I was under the impression of that’s how you’re supposed to look when going to interview you supposed to wear business attire or I’m going to an interview so when she told me not to come so “fancy-shamancy” this time…I felt as if what I was wearing offended her. I’ve had a lot of managers that interviewed me that’s been impressed by the way I dress, and I’ve never been told to dress down by any manager that’s interviewed me from any company. I felt her wording was wrong, I felt she could’ve asked me differently, and I felt as if I was being discriminated against. And I did not like it I surely didn’t appreciate it and I feel that how she said it was unnecessary

Hi my name is the De’Borrah Willis I was scheduled for an interview at The Skechers Outlet on East flamingo in Las Vegas , Nevada. When I arrived there today I went to the front desk and I seen two customers being helped I also see the manager counting an employees draw. So I waited for the manager to finish what she was doing, on the side of the desk. When she was done counting the drawer I stood back in front of the desk waiting because I because was scheduled for an interview at 11am, and they were expecting me that was at 10:51 after waiting in front counter for an additional five minutes she gave me an attitude and said “Do you need help with something?” I smiled at her and replied “yes I’m scheduled for an interview my name is the De’Borrah Willis” & as she’s talking to me there are two employees standing behind her staring at me with a straight faces, The manager tells me to fill out some paperwork , she reaches for the paperwork and puts it on the counter where the employees ring up customers for shoes and as she’s walking away she tells me somebody will come out and chat with me shortly. She didn’t tell me to sit down and fill it out ,she didn’t tell me to step aside and fill out the application she just put the application on the counter and left with no explanation of where should I fill it out at. I was under the impression that she wanted me to fill it out right then and there, while there’s a customer behind me waiting to be helped. So I was thinking common courtesy , I stepped to the side while I filled out the application .Now minutes has passed and I’m finally done filling out the paperwork I go back up to the front desk I wait patiently on an employee while she’s helping a customer, The customer is finally done and she doesn’t have any customers in line so I’m waiting for her to call her manager to let her know I was done filling out the application but instead she made me wait a few more minutes so I started walking around the store, cause I’m still waiting for the employee to notify her manager , I stayed in the front of the store because I didn’t want them to think I left. The employee asks me are you “here to turn in your application?” And even though the her & the manager already seen me standing there for an half an hour to be interviewed , & even though I was expected she asked me if “I was here to turn in an application” as if I just walked in, so I told her yes with a smile on my face, and I guess the shift manager came out to talk to me for a little bit and at the end of the conversation she told me she has to talk to the manager and that they’ll get back to me and schedule an interview but in my head I’m thinking to myself I thought this was the interview, because they already had my resume on file and they set a specific time and date to come to the store, like a scheduled interview. However even if it wasn’t an interview and I was just coming in to fill out an application the employees for one did not make me feel welcome the manager did not make me feel welcome I was getting these bad vibes and unnecessary attitude when I was just coming in for an interview.

I hope this message is received by the manager/someone over Nick at the Sketchers Outlet Store in West Sacramento (Riverpoint Marketplace, 795 Ikea Ct, Bldg 16B, West Sacramento, CA 95605).
I am writing to report about his lack of ability in handling a customer service issue tonight. He is argumentative, and was quick to being defensive and banning me from the store, because I was “acting out of control”, all because I drove back to the store after he told me over the phone that I could have told him that he was being rude, while I was there, instead of calling him on the phone.
When I came back, he ignored me, so I walked up to the counter and waited for him to come up. At no point did he greet me at all. So I simply asked him for his manager’s name and phone number. He gave me the name Katie.
I bought a pair of shoes for my daughter tonight, and he was my cashier at checkout. I asked him if the water repellant spray that was sitting on the counter was a sample (because the lid was moist on the inside), and he seemed immediately confused by my simple question. He said, I don’t know what you mean, but that’s for sale.
I continued by complimenting how they have a great selection of shoes, so much more than the regular Sketchers store. His response was an irritated “I don’t know what you mean”. I explained (taken aback at his rude tone and obvious irritation), that I was referring to his store’s selection vs the Sketchers store in the mall.
As we were walking out, I said to my husband, “he was rude”. And my husband said, “and he’s the manager”. So, as we were driving home, I called the store to let him know that he really was rude with me. He immediately talked over me, saying “well I’m sorry you feel that way, but you could have told me that while you were here, instead of calling me on the phone to tell me”. He then hung up on me! I called back to tell him that we were on our way back to the store. He said “well if you’re coming back just to yell at me, I will have you escorted out” (just overkill, way too defensive). His comments and reactions were not fitting the cirXXXXstance and comments coming from me.
Once there, I asked him for his manager’s name. He made a face, then said Katie. I told him, I also work in customer service and he was not handling this situation well at all. He told me that I just need to leave. I looked around the store in amazement, and said “for what!?”
He said that I was “acting out of control”. I told him (not a proud moment for me) you know you’re just acting like an ass**hole (my wrong, he was being so rude to me though).
That’s when he picked up the phone to call the police. I told him, he was stupid (again, I’m ashamed, my anger was rising at this point), you could have avoided all this by just having good customer service skills. And that is when he said, “and you’re just a DUMB XXXXXX”. That’s when I really raised my voice! And started the voice recorder. He immediately denied that he had just looked directly at me and called me that! He really has NO BUSINESS being a manager with that level of customer service skills (or lack thereof).
Another staff member walked in and I asked him to tell the boss (Katie), that Nick just called me a dumb XXXXXX. (Please listen to recording).
The police came and suggested that I no longer shop at this store (I wouldn’t), and suggested that I follow up with the store manager/owner? Katie (I will).
I am ashamed that I lost my cool so much as to call him an a**hole, stupid and a pussy. I most certainly wouldn’t have, had he handled the complaint correctly, and had not called me a dumb XXXXXX. He obviously has no idea how to de-escalate a situation. All he had to say was, I’m sorry I offended you. That would have ended it over the phone. But instead, he obviously can’t take criticism, and decided to challenge me by saying I could have said it to him while I was there. Like I told him on the phone, I was totally going to just let it go, but my husband told me (as we had already left the store), that he was the manager! I thought about it a couple more minutes, and figured a quick phone call might be a gentle reminder (the least embarrassing), that he’s in a funky mood and needs to be kinder to his customers.
Not one smile, just pure arrogance radiated from him the entire time during checkout and afterwards.
He seemed very nervous after calling me a dumb XXXXXX, and then repeatedly lied, saying that he did not, insulting me even further!
I will be speaking with Katie in the morning, and will ask her to listen to the recording I took.
Thank you to the staff member who was very calm and kind with me. Who handled my upset with 10x the grace that Nick did! I truly feel that Nick has some hate issues going on, towards women, or towards other customers or types of people, and he immediately put me into one of those categories (in his mind) tonight.
The exchange that took place makes no sense, other than that. He most certainly needs better training and deserves a write up for how he acted tonight.

I bought a pair of sketchers and after wearing them for only 2 months the bottoms are coming off. I can not even call anyone like Nike where they would offer a replacement with picture of shoes. I wasted my money!!!!

I don’t know what has happened to Skechers. I have been wearing them for years. The last three pair I’ve purchased, the finish came off of the toes within a month or two. I’m tired of replacing shoes because the finish has come off and they just look bad. This time I am going to try a different brand. However, I will miss my Skechers and if the problem is looked into and rectified I would come back to them. There has had to be a change in raw material. I checked reviews on Amazon as well. This is not just my problem. I would like to hear from someone if the problem is addressed.

Honestly, I love Skecher’s, and I was so so excited that a store opened recently near my home, it’s in Harahan, La. I must own 20 pairs is Skecher’s (atheletic & casual). I was at DSW & found a pair of Skecher’s I liked & called the Harahan store and it it must have been the manager that pleasantly provided me the information that although they did not have the shoe size in stock (at $20 less), she could order them and I could also purchase another pair of shoes at 50% off. I bought the shoes at DSW, but went in over to to the Skecher’s store, my 3rd visit.

Excited about some of the ideas I had been planning to purchase, I needed assistance with finding a size in a beige slip on. And there she was, the same rude sales associate I encountered on my last visit, “Jerica.”

I’m the customer, with a broken foot, a broken ankle, a broken heel…not that should even matter. What I had to go through to get my one pair of size 9 shoe was unbelievable. I ended up purchasing 4 pairs of shoes. I was waiting for her to bring me the beige shoe so I could get out of there in time to drive 30 minutes to go and feed my Alzheimer’s Mother that doesn’t even know me. I’m her only caregiver.

So, I’m waiting for Ms. Sales Associate to return with the shoe, where I was at the back of the store seated with the 3 other pairs of shoes I had selected. Waiting, Waiting…I go looking for her…she tells me they are at the register. I walk to the register, there is an associate checking out a man, there are several shoe boxes stacked, so I wait a bit & instead of interrupting the transaction, I trek on over to my sales rep, she is so rude, I ask her to go get the shoes for me, she tells me they are at the counter to go get them. I ask her to please get them for me, that I saw several shoe boxes, I have a broken foot, ankle and heel, and I’m in a lot of pain. I told her I would move my shoes to the front of the store and wait for her.

Waiting and waiting, I see her in the shoe aisle. I’m shocked at the intentional lack of customer service, as she has displayed this exact same demeanor my last visit, again, when I bought probably 3/4 pairs of shoes.

I walked over to her and asked her about my one pair of shoes. She belligerently told me that she saw me go to the front where my shoes were. I felt the need to get real with this individual, on a personal level. I told her about my foot, my back surgery in 2 weeks, my stroke, my urgency to just get these shoes so I could drive 30 minutes to go feed my Mother who doesn’t even know me. This girl could care less. I asked her if she ever had fallen upon hard times, she said, “no, she was too young!” I told her she should think more about customers as people and not just someone looking for a shoe.

I spoke to her manager. I told her manager she obviously moved up the ladder because of her customer service, but could easily fall because of people like Jerica.

Jerica deliver my shoe and I politely told her I’d like to talk to her, she said she was busy, had to check someone out. Her manager checked me out and I told her I would not be returning to this store. After I purschased my 4 pairs of shoes, Jerica was at the other register, no one else was in the store. I told the manager I’d like to speak to Jerica in her presence. I asked Jerica to come over, she refused and she refused her manager’s request. I asked her manager to join me in walking over to speak with Jerica, she did.

I basically shared with Jerica that she was a pretty girl and that if she would just demonstrate care and customer service, her future would excel and develop to be more than moving shoe boxes around and she could move up to a manager and no telling where her future could land her, if she just showed some humanity toward her customers, some empathy. She doesn’t know if the person buying a pair of shoes was the first time they’ve been out in months because of a chronic illness or a full time caregiver or if they have cancer. I said…”I’m sure you have friends and you’re happy around them and they like You? Why not like your customers?”

I actually gave her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she got what I was saying, but no…she looked at her manager and asked if so and so was coming in. I said, “so, this is your dismissing me!” Good luck…keep doing what you’re doing, you’ll go far in life!”

Sad! I actually enjoyed going to this store and found an escape from my life challenges, but your current staff has ruined it for me. I called for the corporate office and got “Winston,” a breath of fresh air, at the Riverwalk. He’s a winner. He empathized and gave me the corporate number as the Harahan number, so I said I couldn’t call, but he guaranteed he’d get the customer service concern to Mr. Louis, the Regional VP. Thank you, Winston! I’ll go shop at the Riverwalk!!

I have always stayed withen my comfort zone until just the other day when the wife talked me into trying both your work boots and running shoes. My daughter, husband and myself purchased each a pair of “Go Walk” shoes. We like speed walking in our local mall (prior to stores opening) and thought they would be great for that. Within months both my daughter and husbands pair of shoes came unraveled at the toe so we returned them for full credit. My pair was different from their and remained in good shape but kept tripping me. I went to the store and complained that I had tripped a lot and actually fell on one occasion. She explained that the “Go Walks” are not meant for the waxed floors in the mall. I said, “were is the warning on the shoe about this”. I am 58 and can’t afford to fall again. I contacted Corporate and they allowed me to get the shoes. Well today at the mall I saw this poor woman fall flat on her face. I immediately looked at her shoes and yes, they were Sketchers. This woman hurt her wrist, leg and back. I told her of my experience and that she should contact the Corporate Office. That’s all I could do. ELDERLY MALL WALKERS DON’T BUY SKETCHERS BECAUSE THEY WILL THROW YOU DOWN! SHAME ON YOU SKETCHERS!

Standing outside hours on end in this hot humid weather, they are the very best pair of shoes I ever wore. Heck I would be a AWESOME spokeswoman for Sketchers. I’m beyond excited about this product?

I am a 68 year old retiree who is not in the habit of promoting products. However, in the case of Skechers I am willing to make an exception. I used to be a runner but had to give that up several years ago due to knee problems. The orthopedic surgeon has stated he will replace my right knee when I can no longer tolerate the pain. Several months ago my wife bought me the GOwalk 3-TASK, and I could not believe how much more comfortable it was for me to walk. I then bought a pair of GOrun 400 shoes to use for exercising. I am still unable to run, but I can’t believe how much further and faster I can walk on the track and treadmill, and with less discomfort. I know I will still eventually require a knee replacement, but I feel that my Skecher Shoes has moved that procedure back a few years.

I went into the Fresno Sketcher last week and specifically told the male mananger I have 3 herinated discs , bone spur on feet, tore ligiments/tendon in foot, etc, and specifically asked return policy as i had never been in the store or bought a pair of shoes there. I was told I had 30 days to return and if came in by the following Tuesday I could recieve a 2nd pair for 50% off. I bought the horrific De-Lites which are chunky, ugly, bad breaking shoes and after several hours made my neck feel like it was going to break I took the shoes in to return and a pimpled faced store Mananger named Victoria actually called me a “Lyer” stating people in store specifically stated if worn at any time no cash back,. I explained I specifically asked the male mananger who was working and he did not say that. Victoria said “Too bad, Im mananger tonight” She precided to call me rude, a lyer and called over another girl who stood there, then stated laughing while Victoria was on her knees behind counter over 5 minutes. I was bstanding there with my wallet openm, and BTW Im in my 50’s and asked “whats going on” Victoria jumped up and got up in my face stating “Did you flip just flip me off”. At this time, I really felt this horrible, manager and person who should never work in public should be recorded and taped as truly believe she is on methamphetamine or some other drug as she is the angryiest, nutjob I have seen actually employed. I asked her to calm down and stop it. I advised her I would never come in this store although stuck with 60 dollars credit, so not sure what to do, I also told her I would be giving her and her store reviews on every site I could. This is the worst store I have ever gone too. I was forced to go back Saturday, this store is out of everything, colors, sizes, widthes, only big, chunky ugly shoes. A girl who worked there came out and said to talk to a white guy who is also mananger who is very nice. I think there some racism in that sketchers, and Victoria should be drug testing along with taking a class on calling working people in thier 50’s lyers and accusing them of flipping people off, little kid stuff, and screaming, arguing with cusomers and refusing to give them thier money. DO NOT GO TO FRESNO SKETCHERS unless you want a nasty, little short pimpply face girl named Victoria screaming and calling you names if you do have to return anything, TAKE YOUR CELL and record her sop next time she gets blown up on UTUBE. The Store stucks, the shoes suck, drive to Tulare or Gilroy not worth it, this store is as bad as the staff they hire. The store also stinks.. whats up with that!

I have always enjoyed and purchased your shoes .they are a good price and lasted along time, Now i bought these and i’m greatly disappointed . I have been exercising more but that is no reason for the shoes to literally fall apart. Please respond or I will never by your shoes again and will personally make sure no one else i know does either.

My daughter and i were recently shopping in the Tanger Outlets in Mebane NC. Never again. I went to the register to ask if they had more sizes in the back. I was informed that they could ship for free anywhere. I thought that was a great idea. However, you were having a buy one get one 50% off.

When my total didnt look right i questioned why i didnt get the 50% off. i was told doesnt apply to on line orders. My daughter came up and asked was i told that before the order was placed. Clerk indicated yes and my daughter challenged her and said I was sitting right there and you did not. So store clerk responds I didnt ask. Response from daughter was since when does a consumer have to ask for the information. So i wanted to return the shoes just because she had lied. I was told they cant cancel on line orders. Never heard of such a thing. The treatment gets even worse the second older woman behind register starts laughing. My daugher asked “what are you laughing at”? She replied I am not laughing so my daughter asked for her Managers name which she replied “have a nice day” Asked several times for her Managers name and no response. Daughter ended conversation with i dont need it i will get it off the internet. Bad enough we received misinformation but to be lied to is unacceptable. Will not be shopping in that store again.

I am a manager at a Skechers store and I am so sorry this has happened to you. The information you were given was totally false. We DO honor 50% off when you do an online order. If you do one in-store purchase and one online we take 25% off each pair (instead of just half price on the less expensive one). This way you actually get a better deal when you online order through us, or at least the same deal if your shoes are the same price. Furthermore, it is possible to cancel an online order if ou do it within the first couple hours (it is done by voiding the transaction). If it is past that time we can reach out to customer service for you and get you taken care of. Again, I am so sorry this has happened to you, not all Skechers stores are run like that!

I bought the Skechers work D’Lites these are the worst work shoes I’ve ever owned. It feels like the steel toe is bent and cuts into my toe. For the price I paid for the shoes I expected comfort. I”ve worn Sketchers for over 10 years this is the worst pair I have ever bought. I am very dissatisfied with this pair of Skechers.

I’ve have a pair of Skechers which are about 10 years old, they are the most bestest pair of tennis I have ever owned, ( I’m 64 years old ). I’ll tell you just some of the places that I have walked them…. Boston, Florida, Washington, California, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Philadelphia, Connecticut, Mexico, Virgin Islands, Haiti, Japan, South Korea, and Thailand. I also attended church a many times with them. Because they are now old torn and holy, I only wear them for yard work, and I am actually wearing the shoes now as I write to you. I took a few pictures with my i-pad.
I thought maybe you can use those pictures for a possible promo. I’ve been wanting to get a new pair of Skechers,but my budget is very very tight right now. Thank you and God bless

I went and bought the Skechers work shoe because I have a lot of foot pain with my work as a server. Their commercial boost that if you work 8 hours or more on you feet these are your shoes. I am very dissatisfied with these shoes. In fact my feet are worse since I have used them. Now I have to go fight with the store I bought them at to get my money back. And Corporate said you could send them back to them but they would just replace them. I don’t want another pair of their shoes. They are garbage!!

I have a new design for a golf shoe, that I do not have the ability to make to see if it would actually help golfers improve their game. I believe if it works once we start manufacturing the shoe we could possibly get 50% or more of all golf shoe sales. The idea is not like anything you have ever seen in a golf shoe, and could help golfers get through the ball better stopping the hated slice. I came to the Skechers store on Atlantic and Whittier Blvd and I was not allowed in the store to shop because they wanted to take my backpack and I refused because I was carrying approximately 10,000 in cash. I have 2 restaurants and I was not able to make it to the bank so unfortunately I had to bring the money with me due to Friday traffic. The whole time I had to stand by the store entrance embarrassed because I was not allowed in the store. Although my aunt and daughter did buy shoes the store missed out on my business. I will probably never return to this store. I am an elite member but with the way I was treated today I won’t be back.

Just visited your Skechers store in Moreno Valley-huge store! With the numerous pairs of Skechers you have in stock, you only have a VERY limited selection of “wide” shoes for both men and women. What’s worse, those that are available are only in grey, black or tan! I spoke with your floor salesperson and he told me that he is asked constantly for wide Skechers.
I have been asked by three different people about my Skechers (wide, grey pair GoWalk 2). I tell them “I love them” but if you have a wide foot forget about a more stylish pair. I’m in my 50’s and saw A LOT of people my age and older shopping in your store.
Get with it Mr. Greenberg! You need more styles of wide Skechers for both men and women, and probably children! Ouch!!!

You have a great marketing tool with the Sketchers backpack bag, and the tagline “We make a great pair”. It is a useful bag and people would want to reuse it and not just throw it in the trash when they get home.
The Green Valley-Sahuarita Optimist Club is having their 28th annual golf tournament on the 1st of May, and I was wondering if I could get my hands on 120 of the bags to use as ‘goodie bags’? I know time is short and understand if you can’t make it happen this year. But maybe for next year with an earlier start, we could work something out.

I Have never ever written a Manufacture, To tell them how much I love there Product ,But here go’s .Years back I bought a Pair of Skechers, They were the excersise shoe’s ,They were they best shoes I have ever had .I am sad to say that I had to throw them out the other day. I must of had them for around five years maybe longer wore them about everyday. I was ‘halfheartedly’ attended to by a certain Kimberley, who stashed away the 3 boxes of shoes I was trying on, even as one left shoe was still on my left foot. After deciding to buy, this Kimberley could not anymore find the box which had the right shoe pair in it. I ended up NOT being able to buy. Too bad…

and a glorious day in Manhattan Beach California, home to Sketchers shoes. I visited their “flagship”store just off the Manhattan Beach Pier today, the day after Halloween. To my horror, and that of all the other patrons, CHRISTMAS music was on the overhead speakers in the store. What a sure-fire way to offend your customers! Lets take a breather from the marketing guys, take a breath, remember Thanksgiving, and give your staff a break! Two solid months of Christmas music will surely drive us ALL crazy! Note to Corporate: Ease up on the Christmas music!! We’ll all remember to do our shopping whether we’re bombarded with cheesy music in your stores or not…

Bought a pair of Skechers – full price: $48, no sale or anything. Within a MONTH, the side has fallen off one of them. I am really disappointed that this company makes such a poor product and sells them for full price. How do I get a replacement pair? Money is tight for me – I can’t waste money on bad products.

I have had the same problem. I bought my son a pair of sketchers and paid full price. I bought them a little big so to have room to grow. After 3weeks the side on the right show has come off. I tried to sew/ hot glue. Tried everything. The shoes are trash. I am so upset. We are a low income family and from a small town. We drove almost 2hours to buy the shoes. money tight and so much wasted. How can I get a replacement?

This is the 2nd pair of Skechers Hiking Boots, and the soles keeps coming apart. The adhesive they are using is a very poor grade, and someone with some sense should change the compound. To a 2 part epoxy that self etching, that should resolve this problem, yes it might cost more at first, but it will pay for it self in sales of repeat customers.
This how I repaired my 1st pair, and just fix this problem, don’t cheapen your quality.

After wearing my 3 year old D’Lite Opal mule to death I surrendered to the Elite Glam Memory Foam. If a wanted a slipper I would buy a slipper and Oh so very ugly. As a designer I’ve earned the right to comment. The Opal …stylish, comfortable with support is nothing like the Glam possessing none of those things.
Are the folks making your sneakers in some far away place also doing the design?

I am disappointed to write that, i bought slipper from skechers fro festivalcity (Egypt) and i ask the sales representative that i am looking a water resist slipper and he recommend me that slipper. After three days i am surpprised that threaded were separated ,when i heading to the store to return it they talk it and asked me that i should wait 7 working days as return procedures, i accept and follow the procedures and i am disappointed when i received call from one of the quility called Tamer, in order to inform me that they send my case to skechers USA and they told them the this fault not a big problem, and refuse to return the slipper it’s my bad experience with the reputed company like skechers

Went your outlet store in Eagan, MN. My daughter was searching all over for shoes went to store finally found a pair my went to purchase and her card didn’t work your cashier made my wife feel like crap after 3 attempts the cashier would just say your card is being declined my wife knoeing full well we had more than plenty of money in our account. My daughter and my wife visibly upset. I entered the store to try my card but while waiting in line 2 other customers were told that there cards were being declined when I heard the cashier say the network isn’t responding. I then tell them your network down and you made my wife feel like she was deadbeat and it your systems problem the other customer said he could pay with cash and they acted like his money was no good. I then took my daughter out of the store and didn’t buy your shoes because of the terrible customer service. My daughter wanted those shoes and she wants to go back and get them but don’t know if will ever return to that store with the poor service and poor treatment of my wife. I have worked customer service and know no matter how bad your day you never treat the customer bad.

I will start with telling you how much I love your product and how much has help me with my heel spurs problem. But on 7/18/15 I had a really bad experience at you location on 88-01 Queens Blvd ,Queens NY. But my experience on this day was extremely bad , one of the security person greeted me at the store and she had some applications for your new program Skechers Elite and explained to me how to get 20% on my purchased I was very confuse because she wasn’t really part of Sckechers but knowing that I was getting 20% off already from the deal that they were promoting buy one get one 50%. When I was ready to pay the Cashier “59905” told me that the discount couldn’t be combinable with the promotion going on so I explained to him that the security person didn’t say that to me she actually told how a great deal this was and got me on signing up for it. At this moment your store manager Stefani started getting in the conversation without introducing her self to me and with a very rude attitude . She started to go back and forth with me the customer telling me how it couldn’t not being combinable and how the security person doesn’t work for sckechers so what she was doing was no valid to any customer. As a customer I was very upset because I don’t understand how a outside company is being use by your store manager Stefani and giving customers like me the wrong information to get them sign up for your new program. Stefani didn’t try to help me out and she doesn’t believe on customers comes first and you as a manager should do anything to make your customer walk out happy to make it come back, instead after she was done with her disrespect to me and walked away from me and because she didn’t introduce her self to me I had to asked her for her name and she wrote for me and a very nasty way saying I am the manager believing that she was doing was right because she was the manager what is annexable behavior from her. In top of all this one of my sneaker’s were in the wrong box and I had the wrong size. Now I will have to go to another far location so I don’t get that bad customer service.

I love the Skecher’s Memory Foam shoes. I have a few pairs. I have 21 pairs of other Sketcher style of shoes and sandals. I have put my reputation on line by suggesting them to all my friends and family.
I have 3 suggestions to possibly help your company.
1. Make the memory foam inside the shoe an insert with arch support. Then they can be replaced. If the shoe gets wet inside the insert can be removed to dry. I love this shoe but they can be improved upon.
2. Please consider making waterproof winter boots for us in the icy/snowy regions with the Memory Foam w/arch support. Don’t forget wider toe room for wearing heavy socks. I would love to buy this boot as long as it has style…not like the moon looking/walking boots everyone wears.
3. How about Memory Foam socks? With a comfortable foam bottom to wear in any shoes.

I bought my daughter some much needed shoes for school at your Del Amo store on 10/28/16. Your sale staff was fantastic. However, the shoe’s Mesh started to open up after a month creating a hole in the shoe. After another week another hole opened up, that is when I decided to go back to the store for some compensation. Today, 1/1/17 I finally had time. Monique told me to call a company number to see if the will give me some kind of refund. The number was a recording. I did leave my number and I hope to resolve this.

I have a huge complaint about my sketchers I hate the new memory foam crap u came out with they r uncomfortable they wear out extremely fast an there is no support in the new ones an your air whatever suck took im sadden an disappointed in u I was a loyal customer until u started phasing out the nice sketchers with support the delites r the best an they r not even found in stores anymore maybe you get lucky an find them in white who wants white there are no cool colors in the delites if u can even find them I get the black with pink whenever I can find them which is hardly ever I wish u would get out of the stupid memory foam junk an go back to your roots the originals an add cool colors unfortanely I have to start looking at other name brand shoes to try to find something with good support an fashionable at the same time because all I ever see in sketchers new is that awful memory foam I use to buy lots of sketchers but they suck now please listen hard to our complaints thank u Christine h

Ys I want skechers to see my complaint! !!!I am on my second pair of skechers the first pair I had for a month and they fell apart took them back to store returned them and got another pair of a weather they were great first month I am on second and both of the outer sides where seem is has come apart and they have lready.lost tread s told to get them for the.job I do

Let me start by saying that I was with sketchers brand now for few years. Love the shoes, style, awesome. However I recently( 2 weeks ago) purchased the pair of sport sketchers, and the outsole on the left shoe has started to peel off already. Therefor, rendering left shoe unwearable. The right shoe is still intact. Please see the pictures included. This is not something I experienced with sketchers before.

I went to look at the new comfortable Flip Flops, and other comfortable shoes, with the cushion for your feet. I purchased a black net, tennis shoe slip on, a woven stretchy shoe, and 2 pairs of the flip flops. The one, in black, with a dark gray cloth, on top, have stitching that has started coming out, only after maybe 10 wears. The blue & white leather topped ones, have broken down with wrinkles in the foot bed part, that looks terrible, about 10 wears. How can these issues be resolved? I have only wore the other two, for maybe 3 days each, but am now worried about the quality, for the price I paid. Please reply.

I’m a 58 year old Transgender female who really loves your shoes. However Skecher doesn’t love me, at least when it comes to shoes in my size (woman’s 14). In the age of the rainbow, acceptance of all people and genders. One would hope it would be the same with Skecher, say it ain’t so. Because there are over a half million customers you’re passing on because we’re transgender?

I bought a pair of Sketchers 5 months ago,and the insoles are all ready broke down. I’m not pleased at all with the memory foam in soles. The shoes are not cheap at all. The out side of the shoes are in great shape yet but the insoles are shot. I have bad feet all I keep hearing is to get your shoes and I did and I’m very up set. What can your company do to fix the problem.

I have worn a pair of Alley Cats for less than 2 months and the sides are bubbling up and peeling away. I did not expect to spend $75 for a pair of shoes that are worthless. I work in an Office and the shoes have not been exposed to even water. Hopefully Sketchers will do something about this!

I read most of the comments and I have to say my experiences are just the opposite – I love Skechers products and never yet have had a bad experience. In fact I bought Skechers for all my family and friends (all in other country) and they all love them. I mostly shop online but visited the store in NYC and had very good customer service. I just bought 8 more pairs (for myself and friends) and hope I continue to love this brand.

Skechers, I wish you were in Czech republic – if you want to hire me to open a store there I am in! Love your products!

I purchased a pair of memory foam shoes. After wearing these shoes for 4 months the whole side pulled away and now they are trash. My husband bought a pair of work boots and he wears them 6 days a week anywhere from 10-16 hours a day. After 2 months these boots also tore up.
Believe it or not we can not afford to be purchasing boots for $120.00 and $75 for shoes every 2 months.
The store that we purchased them at refuse to do anything about it. Very frustrating.
I’m sure nothing will be done and feel I’m wasting my time. Buyer beware!!

Tried two pairs of the memory foam because I really like them. However ran into the same thing on both. Parts of the sole are falling off… I wear them in an office, so isn’t like i am beating them up.

I have bought alot of skechers shoes over the year ..Just bought work boots ..I work in the electrical field …so I got the boots that where made for me. …electrical rated..comp toe. ..
( so much better than steel )…bought the boots in August ….wear them 4 out of 7days..for work… so six monthes. ..
They just feal apart.!!!!!!! Dont buy these boots.

I bought a pair of your skecher D’lights for my wife ,she has wore these shoes 8 of 10 working days (68 hours ) (thought they would start to feel better )and has nothing good to say about them ! its a shame we pay good hard earned money for your poor excuse of comfortable shoes ! I dont see myself buying your product again ..

I bought a pair of your Sketchers with the memory foam insert. When I walked the lake I walked into our home and noticed scratches on our wood floor.after checking the bottom of your shoes I noticed rocks were imbedded in between the tread of my shoes. The rocks were so inpacked that I had to use a screwdriver to dislodge them. They continued to collect rocks on further walks. I read other complaint and it sounds like you Don’t back your product so I will bring them back to the store to let them know these shoes are defective.

How the heck is rocks getting stuck in the rubber soles a shoe defect? Don’t wear your walking shoes in the house. You sound like the type of person who finds anything to complain about or was that a joke?

No she is right! The tread design is very close and it traps small rocks in a way that just a little larger spaced tread design will not like every other shoe I own. These are details that people dedicated to relentless product improvement should obsess over. I contemplated using a belt sander to remove the tread. Love the shoe but yes I wear my shoes indoors like normal people. Instead I returned them and bought another pair of New Balance.

I agree about the rocks getting in the huge spaces of the soles, it is annoying, glad I have proclaim ceramic tile, maybe that is the reason for breaking down so quickly! I will not walk around my home with out a pair of shoes on, or anywhere but the beach!

Absolutely love my go walk skechers! So does my 3yr old grand daughter! How about making those in toddler sizes??? Great look, comfort and easy slip on for a kid on the go! Helps the mom and grandma too! Just something to think about! Would love to see that happen!! Merry Christmas!!

i love Sketchers. Their shapeups saves my life they absorbed all the shock away from knees and back. I was heart broken when I found they were no longer available. can you suggest an alternative to me. Please! I have tried several of your knew ones and found they are not quite as good for me. I wear them with dresses to church, for shopping gardening. May not be as fashionable as some, but at least I could still go. Please help me.

I purchased 2 pair of sketcher hot-lights (multi-color & you control the color & off/on) for 2 of my children. These shoes costed me $70 each pair & didn’t last 3 months. The toes completely separated from the soles & fell apart! They’re junk! Now my kids are having to wear cheap $15 Kmart junk, because like most – we can’t afford to spend another $140 on 2 pair of shoes so close to Christmas! Thanks for making such junk Sketcher! You will NEVER have our business again!!

Well after reading a few complaints, I realize my complaint isn’t going to matter. I am so disappointed in my skechers tennis shoes. I’ve not any problem before and I need help with replacing my shoes which have separated from the soles. So sad ,for my husband is disabled and our funds are always paycheck to paycheck. My shoes was from a gift certificate for my birthday and mothers day. You should be responsible for replacing shoes which are defective. I have no choice but to continue wearing these awful looking shoes. Respectively Brenda K.

I have always purchases the Sketchers and loved them. I really didn’t ever have a complaint about them and never thought anyone else would. That’s how much I thought of the Sketchers. I am really surprised to see how many complaints there are. But anyway, they have always been great shoes for me until I purchases the Hot Ticket sneakers(2 pairs)! I know they have less padding in the shoe, but that’s what I liked about them. But both pair have maid my feet sore in less than two weeks. I can’t believe it! I buy these summer and winter. Sometimes the names change, but they are the very same style. What has happened? I have two pairs of sneakers that I cannot wear, in fact no shoes can I wear right now, because the balls of my feet are so sore! I am so disappointed! I loved these shoes for years, now what do I wear that look like the sketchers? Something must have changed, it’s just not like Sketchers to have made both feet sore! Are the Sketchers being made at a different company? I just can’t imagine the same Sketchers I have worn for years, causing such trouble with my feet! Please, make them like they use to be made. I always loved my Sketchers!!

I am writing to your Co today cause I am a very unhappy customer,.
Lets start off with I am a Big fan of your Shape up sneakers, I have been wearing them for many many years. Up till now! I bought many pairs Never had a problem with them, had several different ones. Loved them all.
This last pair I worn them for 5 weeks doing the same thing as I did with the others. (SKECHERS Work Slip Resistant Shape Ups).
Lets start off with the left foot shoe, First week or so I notice the front was defected it was pulling, and was bothering my toe, i thought maybe the leather was stretching, as weeks went by the heel of the shoes started peeling .!? The heel had no comfort ! as I walked the heel looked like it was sponge, no support ! I could push on the heel part and it would move like a sponge.
Now the arch in my left foot hurts so bad, I walk alot in work and I am not getting the support like I should be getting.
I pay alot of money for this brand shoe, This pair of SKECHERS must be a defected pair. I have shape ups that are 3 yrs old and I still can wear them. I never bought this kind in white always bought it in the tan suede.
So now I have a pair of expensive shoes that only lasted me 5 weeks and a really painful arch .
I cant return them cause they were bought before the summer and I don’t have the box.
I would like this issue I am having to be address. I have enclosed photo’s also have a video if needed.

Wow, came across these comments when trying to find who to contact about my Skechers. Don’t think I will waste my time. Bought “Go Walk” Skechers for my holiday in Cyprus. Well I did, “go walk” and ended up with very large blisters on the back of my heels after only half an hour. I used to love my previous Skechers and had many happy walks wearing them at home in Leicestershire England. Sad that they have poor customer service and even sadder that I no longer love Skechers.

Hit enter, has I was saying today they could care less about the customer and the faulty shoes they now sell. It only happens when they are over whelmed by complaints and do not hire the individual that is in the customers shoes. They are in a defense mode and have hired gatekeepers to rebuke and defend. We have a total of 14 pairs of shoes in the house and have bought the last one. Do not buy a pair or pairs and if you bought them send all of them back and create a return wharehouse and tell everyone to do the same.

your durable rubber outsoles; men’s sports shoe, I have bought 2 pair and your soles delaminate on the sole, it comes apart within months. I think the design is wrong and your not using real rubber that will hold up to that design. your using a synthetic rubber

WOW! I was going to ask Skechers if they could help out with my childs footwear needs. She was born with a club foot, as she has grown her leg was about 5 inches shorter than the other she has had 8 surgeries on her leg and will have about 5 more. Her foot is about 2 1/2 sizes different than her other foot. I wanted to ask if the company would sell directly odd sizes because we usually have to buy two pairs of shoes and have the odd out and some of the shoe stores keep the other odd ones to “send back” (I didn’t fall off the pumpkin truck today). BUT, in reviewing some of the complaints about Skechers I may need to rethink my plan of contacting them with her needs. Thank you all of giving me the heads up on some of the shoeware experiences.

It’s been nearly a week since you got my initial email, yet I have gotten no response. Is this typical of the way you handle customer service? Just curious, because there are many companies that make a similar product and I’m not picky at all. Any one of your competitors will do just as well as you. Will my last purchase from you be my last? That will depend on if I hear from you soon. If not, I haven’t lost a thing. But your company will lose 1 customer and that 1 customer will share his experience with everyone he knows, people in the mall that are thinking about your product, hell just strangers on the bus. That’s just how I operate. I do not reward poor behavior and I encourage others to not either. It’s how us consumers insure that only the best companies get to do business with us. Sub par product AND sub par customer service? That can’t be allowed in my marketplace.

I bought the Sketchers sports shoes and in less then a month the lace that is over the toes started ripping. I knew I could not take them back because they were already worn but seriously it only getting worse. So a pair of shoes I spend the better of $50.00 for is useless after two months. More lace is ripping, even the blue lace along the sides are coming out and now my shoes look like I’ve had them for 5 years. I have 5 kids and don’t have money to waist on shoes that do not last longer than 1 month. Seriously I believe you should comensate me a new pair of shoes. Otherwise, I will no longer buy Sketchers. I should also let you know I don’t purchase just for my self, but also for my 5 kids.
I will also be reposting my ill feeling on Social media about this is I am not comensated.

I have never EVER had such rude customer service in my life, I work with customers all day and know how difficult it may be. But are you kidding me. No one should be treated like I did. I walked into your store at the Walden Galleria Mall in buffalo. I go here every 6 months to get my son New sneakers for school or any event. I have been giving you my service since my son could walk. Tonight changed my mind forever. I will never walk into your store again. Imagine how much money you will lose from me because my son is only six….and my daughter is too young to wear shoes yet and the rest of my family and friends!!! We walk in your store tonight to get new sneakers,going to take less then 10 mins. We walk in at about 830, I know your store doesn’t close till 9. The lady that was working stood at the counter and huffed with her arms crossed. So we looked at maybe 3 pairs and my son said he wanted the red ones. No hi how are you or can I get you his size, just a stare and a roll of the eyes from your worker. So I ask can we please have a 1 1/2 or 2? We get “yeah hold on” then she returns with only the 1 1/2. She told us that’s all you had so I said ok lets make sure these fit. Then she does an other huff under her breath and cross her arms again. REMIND you we are the only ones in the store. So I said screw it we will just take these. Cash out complete quiet, no Have a good day or here’s your change or have a good night, Hands the bag to me and I told my son we will never be treated like this again. I will have to find a new store to buy shoes from here on. I can not believe you could have someone so rude work for you. I NEVER complain because I work with customers every day. I really did love your shoes but I wouldn’t give you any of my money being treated like this!!! I dont know if it was because we were white but how rude!

I purchased the Hinckley mens boot on 1/12/14. When I received the shoe it was defective, the material on the inside of the right shoe in the toe box was peeling away from the leather. This also caused a noticeable ripple in the leather on the outside. I immediately returned the shoe and asked to have a new pair sent. I received the new pair today 1/30/14 and it is the same shoe, with the same exact defect. However, now it had glue all over it as if Skechers attempted to fix the defect. I contacted customer service once again to let them know. This time it is being returned and I will never purchase a pair of Skechers for myself or children. I think this is a terrible way to comduct business and I will be spreading this information through social media outlets and the BBB.

After only a couple of casual times wearing my “Urban Track Browser” shoes are completely unwearable. The laces are torn straight through the surrounding leather and can no longer be tied. This problem was only on one shoe but it obviously makes the pair unwearable. I am highly disappointed in the quality of this product and would no longer recommend The Skecher Shoe line. I used to often wear Skechers as a casual shoe but am weary of the future quality and could not in good standing purchase your product again.

I purchased a pair af your skechers sports shoes. The first day I wore them, my foot began to hurt. Three days later, I tried to return them. The shoe store wouldn’t let me because they were worn. I emailed your company and they said the same thing. 3 and a half weeks later the Del Amo Skechers outlet exchanged them as defective. The manager told me the arch was to high. I exchanged them and got a pair I had previously bought and I thought the pain would stop, but it didn’t. I went to emergency and they said I had a double stress fracture. I had a cast and wore a boot for the last 2 months and I told your company this and they said to send my medical records to the legal dept. and I did and they never contacted me back. I am very dissapointed in your companies policy on handling a situation like this. I have over 8000.00 in medical bills and your company didn’t even offer to reimburse me even a little for all the pain I sufferred and costs. I spoke to the owner of Lee’s shoes in Long Beach, where I purchased the shoes and he said that skechers comes out with a model, runs it once or twice and stops making it. It sounds like you experiment to much with shoes and this is why what happenned to me happened. I would like to hear your reply. I have been on the phone all day trying to get a hold of someone who can
provide me a copy of the accident report and nobody knows where to direct
me. I called the insurance at 1-800-739-3344 ext 3469154 and spoke to Jane
Wright who stated that Skechers does not have liability insurance and
deleted the claim (53G442123). I also tried contacting Melissa Bradley at 310-318-3100 ext 4481 to no avail. I had to google her phone number because the Skechers store gave me a fax number and now I am emailing you.
