GetGo began as Cross Roads convenience stores and gas stations throughout the Pennsylvania area. Giant Eagle also had their own gas stations, a few with attached convenience stores, starting in 2001. In 2003, Giant Eagle acquired nearly all the Cross Roads gas stations and convenience stores from Guttman Oil, who owned Cross Roads.
In 2004, Giant Eagle acquired several Shell gas stations in Ohio that were close to Giant Eagle stores. Gas stations and Cross Roads locations were changed to the GetGo names in 2005.
After these acquisitions, GetGo has built the remainder of the company from the ground up, other than the recent acquisition in late 2018 of the 56 Indiana based convenience stores Rickers. Guttman oil still supplies the chain with its gas and oil products.
The company introduced a fuel perks program in 2007 where customers can save ten cents per gallon for every $50 spent. In addition to the food stores and gas stations, some locations also have WetGo car washes.
In May 2019, the company announced that they were going to offer a variety of CBD based products in their Giant Eagle and GetGo locations.
To compete with Amazon, GetGo and Giant Eagle announced that customers would soon be able to take their purchases and walk out the door using the app on their mobile phone for payment.
In 2017, GetGo partnered with UberEats to allow for delivery service of their food and drink items. The company currently has 250 GetGo locations in 5 states.
Headquarters are located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
I visited the store in nobleville. It was around 3 pm on February 16. I went up to get 2 packs of Marlboro black 100s the cashier ( desiree) pulled out the shorts she scan them I asked nicely for her to exchanged she did but she had a rude comment next speck clearly I don’t understand mumble
I felt disrespectfully I was going to talk to Justin and Lisa but they were in the office so. I seen them out on the floor when I first went in then they went in office so I left and I won’t be back.cashiers need a reality check respect customers we are the ones who helps pay them thank you
We used Rickers gas for several years. When Get go took over we wanted to give them a chance. We needed a new fuelperks card. A nightmare ! The customer service from get go refered us to zipline to help activate the new card. After 2 months I surrender. I use my truck as a work truck part-time. I am going where they appreciate their customers.
Damage to my car due to using the car wash.
I have been to the Canfield store many times. The cashew reserve top-of-the-line excellent people service bow ever isn’t. I ordered a hamburger with fries, but no hamburger. I went in to ask about it but waited 10 minutes with no luck.
A employee walked by with a box full of bananas and did nothing.
I walked up to the counter and she’s sent me to the restaurant waited 10 minutes and got frustrated. I told the cashier life is too damn short. The employees at the Canfield store need more training. I’m glad I stopped getting gas at there store.
I know nothing will be done here, but I would like someone to read this and be cautious about ordering food.
I have been a customer for YEARS and always pay with cash. You just started that advantage for the gas and it I get screwed for paying cash !!! Its not right.

I visited your store location above on Friday 11-8-19 @ 5:45am. I ask the clerk for two packs of Marlboro Lights and the clerk grab two packs of Marlboro lights 100’s. I told the clerk that I wanted Marlboro lights and not 100’s. He stated that he would get them after he scanned the Marlboro Lights 100’s. I said, Buddy, I don’t want Marlboro Light 100’s. He told me not to call him his buddy and he would get me what I wanted after he scanned the 100’s. Then when I went to pay for my purchases still without my request of Marlboro Lights being laid on the counter, he stated my card was denied. I was tired of this games so I proceeded to drop my purchases on the counter and proceeded to Speedway Gas Station instead and received great service.
Issues:
Clerk was taking Marlboro Lights 100’s out of inventory.
I wanted Marlboro Lights.
Clerk didn’t have a name tag so I called him buddy. Which he didn’t like.
My card was declined. Plenty enough for more purchases. Was this a clerk issue?
I contacted store manager and he was very pleasant to talk to. But I want the home office to understand that I was treated very disrespectful and I won’t be visiting this location ever again even though I work down the street.
