I’ve been going to the export express on Belmont near Kimball. I got to let you know the place is so filthy ceiling fans were off the other day. There had to be 2 inches of dust and dirt on them. Your traders when they come there to train other people it’s a small gym, which I don’t understand why I have trainers there because they take up equipment that isn’t big enough to have trainers they leave the equipment all over the place, barbells and whatever they’re using after they’re done training their people not putting it back. The front desk is not very friendly. There are weights everywhere so we want to use it dumbbell or barbell. good luck, trying to find one that matches or were supposed to be. I’m really thinking about moving on from there but I need a 24 hour gym and it’s close to the house. I have not been happy but has since I’ve been there maybe it’s time to MoveOn. Thank you.

Yet another BullS**t experience at good old Xsport Fitness State Street location in Chicago. They are the only location in the city with a stand up tanning bed. Drove 28 min to use it. Arrived at 8:56pm and was ignored by staff while I stood and politely waited for the gentleman working the counter to finish his conversation. When he finally asked me what I need I told him I was here to go tanning. He (Brandon) then informed me that there was a new rule that tanning closed at 9pm. At this time it was exactly 9pm. I explained that I had just drove 28min just to use this one bed. He then chose to lie and say that the tanning system completely shuts off at 9pm now. Which is a lie because this happened last week and the guy working explained the new policy but since it was only a couple min after he allowed me to tan. Due to my job closing at 7:30pm this is as soon as I can get here. I am extremely upset by Xsports lack of any sort of customer service and being straight up lied to after being a member for over a year and a half has me reconsidering my membership with this dollar tree equivalent of a gym.

I have not been able to use my ~ 5hrs massage balance due to the spa being closed b/c of COVID for quite some time now. The several times I have called the spa to find out the open status, I have always been assured that my upcoming and now expired hours will be honored when they re-open. This last time I called to inquire about the open status, I was informed once again that they do not have any idea of an open date. I informed them that I am moving out of the area, and was told that I can call Corporate and request to have my now expired massage hours balance refunded. I contacted Corporate to have this done. FYI – I purchased the hours in May 2019, that expired May 2020, having already a few hours thereby extended. I was told that I could be refunded for 1 hr, and that the other hours I could not be b/c they’d expired. Seriously? I was also told my hours balance was 2 1/2 hrs, not 5. I paid for service that I could not use, b/c the company decided to close the spa prior to May 2020 (yes, I certainly understand it b/c of COVID), and my hours expired during that time. What kind of reputable establishment, would refuse to refund money paid for massage services which they did not honor b/c of their own decision to close the spa, and not subsequently return someone’s money? Absolutely unacceptable. As well, I requested that I speak to a supervisor, and was told she was on another call. I was told she would call me back, and I received no such call back.

I cancelled my membership on October 3, 2019 after I had placed my account on medical hold in March 2019, following an injury I incurred working with a trainer in your gym. After weeks of going back and forth with your corporate team, I received a full refund for all of my unused training sessions after I contacted your office regarding a letter from my neurologist, stating I had endured permanent strength loss in my hands an left arm due to the nerve damage caused by the injury. I spoke with Ray Noffsinger in your corporate office and she and only refunded my training sessions so now all of the sudden I am being charged again. I was charged $14.95 on 3/17/20 and another $19.95 on 7/25/20. I expect to see these monies refunded to my account…….today! My member number is x2116710

I have been complaining about there being the same locks on the tall lockers for months. This is at the club in Portage Park (Irving and Central) in Illinois . No action has been taken even after I gave you the locker numbers. I tried to email using the complaint form on your website. It didn’t work so I called customer service. They took 30 minutes before answering my call. The rep took all my information plus that the website complain app wasn’t working. Still no action has been taken. I tried your complain app again to day -quess what- still not working. Lousy customer service!!

I have been a member of your Skokie, Illinois location for over 4 years now. I have also been bringing my children with me to the child care area for the past 4 years as well. I’ve had minimal problems with the child care facility up until recently when I was told that my 6 year old daughter was being suspended for name calling. When I asked why I wasn’t told about this, it was pointed out to me that the staff at the facility do so on purpose to avoid confrontations between parents. My child has been put on a 30 day suspension, for something that she may or may not of even done, because all that is required to place a child on suspension is another child accusing and their parents complaining. I’m going to describe what your child care area in Skokie is like on a regular basis. There is one and sometimes 2 teenage girls supervising, what can be a large number of kids, all ranging in age from babies to pre-teens. The atmosphere is wild and from what my oldest daughter has just told me, when any altercation between kids is reported to whatever teenager is supervising, they don’t do anything about it. Kids are witnessed by supervisors hitting each other, calling each other names, and are either ignoring it, or are so lax that it’s basically a free for all. There are protocols about checking parents id’s, food policies, etc., none of these protocols are followed. My question is, if none of these other protocols are being followed, than why is my 6 year old being punished for 30 days, for something that all of the other children are doing and on her first “offense.” I have been a loyal customer, but if this is not rectified and your child care area isn’t put in order, I will go to another gym, like yesterday.

Recently, I was granted a Free 7 day guest pass. I used the pass at your club at 3450 W. Touchy Avenue in Skokie, Illinois.
I am writing this letter due to the conditions of the club cleanliness! The entrance, equipment, bathrooms and showers.
I recently, started a new agency:
FLOWERS ? IN A VASE multipurpose service agency. We assist companies with cleaning, an attempt to testore cleanliness to when first opened! Then, your staff can hopefully, maintain! Or we can provide this service quarterly, bi-monthly or monthly or as needed!
If this is a service, we can assist you with, not only at this club but your other establishments. Please let me know!

Recently I purchased some spa services at the gym located in Alexandria, VA. A few weeks ago, I heard that the supervisor (Asia) of the spa was arrested. The police came into the gym, put the cuffs on her, she was then removed from the premise. I have been in contact with the manager Sam, and Kelly Cartwright since discovering addt’l charges on my credit card. After my complaint regarding fraudulent charges Kelly sent me an email for a survey. The gym never posted information regarding their spa manager, and that maybe we should check our credit for fraud charges.

I am a 69 year old female who has had a membership at the Merrifield location for almost 4 years. I have been unable to use my membership for over a year due to physical therapy and my doctors advice. I did continue to pay the monthly fees. Two weeks ago I purchased 10 personal training sessions and was advised someone would contact me in one to two days. Not only has no one contacted me, but I cannot get a return call to explain why I have paid for services I cannot obtain. I do not like the way you do business, I do not want to continue as a member and I want my prepayment for a trainer refunded. Susan at customer service informed me I cannot have a refund because the 3 day period has passed. How was I to know I would never hear from xsport again. You have my money, you have a policy in place guaranteed to make the customer a victim of your heavy powered sales people and your unfair business policies. You have not delivered the promised Dennis gave me. I was also informed by a Merrifield staff member that one cannot expect messages to make it to the appropriate people as they have 1000 members.
Please refund my training fees asap.

Dear Mr. Rayman,
I want to cancel my membership to Xsport fitness. My ID # is X1415214. I discontinued using the gym at Carle place, New York in May 2017 but was being charged for membership fee for almost a year on my credit card. At the time of contract signing I was not made aware of the cancellation procedure. I will be losing almost $480 since my membership expired in May 2017 and was being charged since then up till April 2018.
Any help from your company would be appreciated.
Looking forward to your reply.
Sincerely,
Dr. Rashmi Gupta
