My Son a youthful 17yr old high school student attempted working at a whataburger location of yours in Longview Tx. On Gilmer Rd. Not a particularly highly recognized location for being first in food service I can assure u. I can recall vividly numerous times the last few months poor service I gave even reported it a time or two. But this is rich..
He tells me about 2 hours ahead of time that he’s not feeling well…mind u since it’s his first job I tell him look if u don’t know u need to give your job a call more then an hour ahead of your scheduled time to b to work in case they need to make accomodations…he goes and gives them a call about an hour and a half ahead of schedule and some moronic manager tells him it can’t b approved because he didn’t give them a call 4 hours ahead of schedule…surprised by his downcast look I ask for info..
Upon hearing what he tells me I give them a call back ..
” mind u the kid has been on the payroll for months and has only had one call in and provided a note from our local emergency room” when I open the call and ask for the manager the person on the phone acknowledge they were the manager I asked if I’m hearing the correct info and they confirm it is so…her name by the way is Alysia so anyhow I began to tell her there isn’t a company in the United States of America that requires 4 hrs notice to a call in and this gifted individual that meets your qualifications enough to b called a manager began to argue the point…then yells out if I didn’t want him working there and then ended the call by hanging up abruptly..
Great addition by the way to your already tarnishing reputation for this very location…but not I’m thinking if this is how I’m greeted with intelligence I can see what has been behind his tough mood swings lately low class individuals with no morals and low IQ smh he can do himself a favor and look for another opportunity geez you really wld think people wld consider it important to have trustworthy loyal responsible individuals representing them when trying to gain most of the American dollar in this day in age

You need to close down your Whataburger restaurant on council road in Oklahoma City Oklahoma and fire the employees working there it is a terrible restaurant and rude employees who does not give a sh*t about there customers
Nancey Corbin says
Went to Council Road Whattaburger. The employees are rude, I had to go back around to get what was left out of order. Young girl brought out second time swinging the sack. Swinger it in my window and said here hunky. There is too much playing around on the otherwise of the window. You can here them through the window. It’s no wonder the orders are not Wright the first time. And they don’t even care. The Whattaburger on 36th is a much better place.

As Winter Texans we look forward each year to our Whataburgers and are grateful there is one only 3 miles from our home in Mission, Texas. However, after this year, we are rapidly losing our taste for Whataburger. Screwing up an order up while we are dining in is one thing because we are there to get it corrected on the spot. My last 3 curbside orders have been incorrect. I do not get a receipt from curbside, but am able to check my order online. The errors have not been mine. Today the entire order was wrong. Pickles in sandwiches when no pickles was the order, cheese on a salad that requested no cheese and chicken on a salad that had been ordered without chicken. The other day I received a taquito with jalapeños. As a northern senior citizen, jalapeños are not something I enjoy being surprised with and did not order them. We have not had good service all this winter from the store on LaHoma in Mission. The answer I get every time I call the store to complain is, “Bring it back and we will make it right”. Once I get home and discover the errors, I am not going to waste my time and gas to return. I will just stop frequenting Whataburger.
Ben Tover says
completely agree. seems as their standard response although they do not seem to understand righting their wrong doesn’t involve my financial loss ie returning to the location

Out of salad material again in El Campo, received iceberg lettuce. Ended up throwing it away. Sometimes there’s no apples or no cranberries. If you going to sell salads at least support your menu. Happens too often IMO. I understand food costs and P&Ls but at least have the inventory to support your menu. Thanks.

I placed an order on line today at the Portland Whataburger and after I picked it up, I opened the order at home It was short one of the 2 burgers. I went back to Whataburger and showed them the receipt and they gave me a burger they said was it. I took it home only to find it was not the one I had originately ordered. I did not go back after that. I guess someone got mine and I got theirs so two customers did not get what they ordered.
Thank you,

I travel often to go see my nephew play college football. On the date of October 12, 2019, me and my family stopped at Restaurant 489, which is 4010 Jewella Road, Shreveport, LA 71109. The customer service was so exceptional I knew once I slowed down enough I would write a comment. It was a female named Lakeitha or Lakeisha I’m not sure and there was also a young guy that was also exceptional I just can’t remember his name. I stay in Texas and If every location had that type of customer service they would be terrific. Thank you so much for the Shreveport, LA, on Jewella Road, morning Whataburger crew.

I got reprimanded by a manager this morn at Whataburger ! It seems that if you place your money on the counter. That is RUDE ! You must hand it to the cashier! Never heard of that in my 77 years. I don’t know but think this is a black thing. Have any of you heard this ? ? What is rude is employees parking at the door so customers have to walk further

It seems to me that Whataburger has gone down in food quality.
I was in the Food Service Industry for over 45 years.
Most times that I order a Burger from your place, they are cold. The meat is dry like beef jerky. My Mother is 86 yrs old and used to Love your Burgers.
On the upside…we still order Breakfast because you guys are the only ones to give free Coffee to Seniors and we appreciate that. I used to live in San Antonio and I never had a problem.
I moved back to McAllen in 2013 when my Dad passed away to take care of my Mother.
Anyway…just thought I’d give you my two cents worth
Thank you very much for allowing me to give my comments.

I Normally don’t complain. However, I just wanted to report the experience I had on April 5, 2019 at Restaurant 495 in Seagoville. I order food through the drive thru at 9:45 pm for my daughter and her friend. The young lady and gentleman taking the order were laughing so much I had to repeat the order three times for them to get it correct. When we got home and the girls started to eat they noticed the fries were frozen and gravy missing for the chicken strips. I called and complain to the manager that was working and she was giggling about the fries being frozen. I asked her why she thought that was funny and all she could said is I will put your name in the book for you to come back and get your order remade. It’s frustrating when you pay money and get bad service.

I went to whataburger last night, April 7th, I called in my order because I was about to leave work and the one in our town is beyond slow. While on the phone the worker was very rude, telling me they have an app for orders (but saying it in a rude way.) When I arrived I asked “so are you not allowed to call in orders, I have to get the app” and the worker said “I mean, you can but it’s really annoying and inconvenient.” I also work in fast food so I get it, people can be annoying with things. But I am bringing them business and I was just shown no respect. Then when asked if I wanted ketchup I said “yes, can I also get some ranch please” the lady gave me a dirty look and walked away. I can gladly take my money elsewhere for better service. Stillwater whataburger is the worst.

On March 28, 2019 my husband and myself ordered the whatacatch and whataburger meal. I was highly dissatisfied and not a manager was on sight. My fish was hard and cold and my husband whataburger was cold and dry. I stopped a young lady whom was working drivethru, handling front counter, and limping outside to take parked customers their orders. Carita Turner politely listened and went and talked with the gentleman whom were responsible for my complaint. Two minutes later Carita walked our meals back out with fresh product including more fries. She has such amazing hospitality and great customer service skills!!! Y’all need more like her in there and offer her a raise. She handled multiple tasks all at once without any attitude or frustration!!!! Store number 262 at 6402 Telephone Road. Houston Tx 77061

Normally I love Whataburger, however I just want to report the very unacceptable experience I had a few days ago at Restaurant 116 on Buckner Boulevard and I-30 in Dallas. I will not visit this location again. My son and I came in at around 9:30 p.m. and there was only one other customer in the store. We placed our order – Monterey Melt meal and Grill Chicken Sandwich meal and two lemon pies – simple. We waited 15 minutes and finally someone (I’m assuming the night manager) noticed we hadn’t received our food and found that since they were waiting on and serving the drive-in constantly, our order had risen above the cook’s sight on his computer. One galling thing about it is that the who took our order was standing at the cash register the whole time and never thought to check on our order, probably because she was busy visiting with her fellow cashier. When finally we were given our order, I specifically asked whether they remember the pies and the guy said he had. We got home (miles away) and discovered: one FRIED chicken sandwich, the Monterey Melt, one order of fries and one pie. My son and I had to split the Monterey Melt (he hates the fried chicken sand) and the cold, limp, stale fries. The Monterey Melt sucked: peppers and onions so overcooked they had no flavor and if there was any kind of special sauce on it, I couldn’t taste it. I paid $18.75 for this awful food and bad experience. When I called to complain (I couldn’t and wouldn’t drive back that night) the person said I could come back in and get the order remade the next day. I have no desire to eat any more of their bad food or experience any more of their bad service.

Dear Preston,
I am a long time Whataburger patron. I love Whataburger. It really is the best burger in town. Whataburger is the only “fast food” restaurant I will visit for hamburgers. I recently moved to far east Austin and have been purchasing breakfast (sausage biscuit and hash brown + gravy) from your Austin MLK & Airport location because it’s on my route to work for the past month. Although the product has been acceptable (not consistent), I cannot continue to visit this location as the food prep area is disgustingly unclean. From the front customer counter, I can see 4” piles of food debris under the center stainless divider that have been there all month, I am speaking about under the food prep island behind the customer front and between that and the “kitchen”. It is disgusting. Please do a surprise inspection and find it for yourself. I am sending this, so you can understand why this location may be underperforming and not up to standards. I am 53 years old and know what I am talking about as my 1st job was at a McDonald’s and we deep cleaned every night. This location hasn’t been deep cleaned – ever, from what I see. Good luck and I hope you address this problem. I am also sending the CEO, Preston Atkinson, this same note via email.
Respectfully,
Jeff

Normally I cook breakfast for my husband and myself. This morning he let me sleep in and went to Whataburger in Rockport, TX. He ordered himself a breakfast platter with scrambled eggs and for me; biscuits and gravy. Mine was fine! When he got to the pay window the young lady asked him if he ordered because the man in front of him did not. So, he again repeated his order. When he got to the window to pick up his order, the young lady asked him if he ordered pancakes and he told her, NO, he ordered the breakfast platter and requested grape jelly and picante sauce. When he got home with the order, we had one order of biscuits and gravy and his order was pancakes. They made sure we had plenty of picante sauce and grape jelly; however, these items just don’t go with pancakes. Why does a person have to repeat his order 3 times when asked and still the order is wrong. This is not the first time this has happened, but we are getting fed up. I mean, why even place an order if they are just going to give you what they want to give you? This is not boding well for Whataburger and I will NOT refer anyone to this store.

Hello,
I am a regular customer at your Pearland, Tx store (#433) As I’m sure y’all are aware we just went through some major flooding around our area so I’m trying to be understanding. Our local Whataburger here didn’t receive any damage from the storm and has been open for 4-5 days now since they first closed. But drive through only, with huge car lines backed up down the street. I have asked several times why they can’t open the inside but are only operating the drive threw and the only answer I get is corporate won’t let them open yet. I know they have plenty of employees available as I see many in the parking lots. I’m sure it’s not an inventory issue either or they wouldn’t
be open at all. So could someone here at corporate please explain the situation so I can spread the word to all of your fans down here that cannot wait to get a Whataburger again?
Thanks,
Gary 🙂

I have worked for Whataburger for almost a year and have witnessed one of the most unprofessional work places I’ve ever been in, I was recently fired for “threatening” the late night manager, which is fine. Except for the fact he threatened me first and has received no punishment or anything. I have personally witnessed this manager, Carlos Lira yell and scream at me and multiple employees, treating employees bad enough for them not to return to work or quit etc. I have personally witnessed this manager hand me money on the clock in the kitchen to buy him drugs. I didn’t do it so the next day he asked for it back and said someone else will get it. I have seen him and multiple employees smoking behind the dumpsters and walk back in smelling like they bathed in marijuana and cologne. I have witnessed him talk about having sex with employees loud enough to hear him across the kitchen. I think it is very unprofessional and very unfair to lose my livelihood due to an underqualified manager. I asked the GM Pam if I could talk to Jason the owner and she tried talking me out of it and then was told I could wait and she would tell him I was waiting. I waited over 30 minutes only to see him drive out of the parking lot without any acknowledgement. I went to the front counter asking for Pam, I was told she was “too busy” to talk to me. I tried to resolve it there and they wanted to sweep it under the rug. I’m hoping you see the unprofessionalism here and do something about it. Thanks. Whataburger in Mount Pleasant, Texas. 75455

Very, very upset with the Whataburger establishment in Del Rio, Texas…..I have been frequenting it for numerous years on a daily basis during noontime, being that it is convenient to my place of employment. My family joins me there. We have been having problems with cold french fries on several occasions..so we started ordering our fries without salt, hoping that would solve our dilemma of cold fries. The problem was resolved for awhile…then came the problem of miserly portions in our fry box, with an explanation that it is hard to put the unsalted fries in fry box with tongs..being that they are unsalted and they can’t use fry spatula because it has salt. Therefore we get a skimpy fries order. We have spoken regarding this with several managers and they resolve problem on the spot only to have problem reoccur on next visit..either with cold fries or skimpy portion fries…well today…March 15, 2017 was the last straw. We got our order of Cold, soggy, and dried out fries..and my husband went to register and complained, they tell him they will bring him fresh unsalted fries….we wait..and wait..and wait…finally a manager named Oscar approaches our table with fries and an attitude and goes on to tell us in front of everyone there…that we need to complain to someone higher up than him by the name of Mr. Garza, because his team cannot seem to keep us happy regarding fries situation, and that none of his team want to take our order because they feel intimidated by us….I almost fell out of my chair, upon hearing him say that, not to mention have my appetite spoiled! It is 6:15 p.m. right now and I still have my burger from lunch sitting in a bag..still upset over what transpired during lunch….please..please praying this gets read by the corporate office and I get contacted..830488XXXXX

I am very concerned about my experience at the Whataburger at 3624 Old Spanish Trail Houston, TX 77021. Being a safety professional I believe this place should be shut down. What I saw today was:
*hair not covered my hairnets
*the cashier handling money and giving food with a blue bandaid. Yes he wore the correct bandaid but should not be serving food with a glove not covering the bandaid. Major contaimination issues.
*Two employees drinking in the back with the food with under covered lids.
*An employee walking around in the back with her bag on.
Where are the safety procedures and protocols? This is not good, I had to leave but that I felt my health was at risk. I feel bad for anyone that ate there today. I believe Health Department or the State will be hearing from me about this place. Customers deserve so much better.

Good Morning,
I purchased a Whataburger on January 26th late night and got home and it was not what I ordered. It was full of onions and something gritty and it was labeled with “No Onions”. It was too late to take it back last night so I waited and took it back before going in to work. This was around 7:20 am this morning. The location was 4408 Little Road Arlington, Texas. I took the hamburger in with my receipt. No apologies were given and the manager on duty was unfriendly. I asked if I could just get a breakfast instead; I did not want another hamburger. I asked for the chicken honey biscuit and an orange juice and she said no. I questioned why not? She looked at me and said ok the 2nd time.
It was still cheaper that the cheeseburger. No refund for the difference.
Not only was I late to work but the service was horrible and the chicken sandwich was dry and hard. No one ever apologized for my inconvenience or offered anything in return.
I am a Corporate Customer Service Manager and I understand fully how important it is when a customer pays for a product and they don’t receive it. I was treated like I was bothering her and dismissed. I love Whataburgers! it is my favorite hamburger. I was disappointed with my service experience though. This location is the one I visit because it is only minutes away. Please pass on to the staff here the importance of quality and customer service. It is so important when trying to retain customers and surveys are conducted on local restaurants. Thank you so much for your time.

Wow. All I can say is ill never go back to store 345 in fort worth in Alta mesa and mccart. What thru drive thru and ordered number one large no mustard with mayo and ketchup with a sprite. After waiting for 5 minutes after I paid I was directed to a parking spot. As an ex gm for mcdonalds I understand service times are monitored and managers are held responsible so this is no problem for me. So I pulled up. After all, if I wait longer ill get fresh food right? It would be worth the wait to get a hot off the grill burger and fresh out of oil extra hot fries. But this was not the case. After waiting an additional 5 minutes in a parking spot I noticed other people who came in after me getting they’re food before me. I understand this also that maybe they ordered a pie or maybe I was waiting on fries and they didn’t order any fries so they got there’s. I understand all this as an ex gm. So I went inside only to find out that my food had been just sitting on the counter. I waited 10 minutes at 10am in the morning in the drive thru for my food to be on the counter. I got my food only to notice my burger and fries were really cold. And my burger had mustard. And did I mention cold. And did I mention that I got looked at like I was an alien when I walked in and I was just as nice as ever since I never show my a** in public. Oh well guys. I figured it was ok to wait 10 minutes for hot food but I couldn’t even get that. And I had to go in to get it.

Had the worst service!!!
I went to Whataburger in OKC OK on meridian ave.. we ordered a number #25 but they gave us a #5. had to drive back around to get our order right.. wouldn’t give us a refund of the difference which is $5. the associate was very rude and manager was worse.. she said that our order would be the same amount as if we bought the #5 instead of the #25… which is was $5 difference.. i called the 1-800 # twice..the first time they hung up on me. I called back and they said they would send in the issue.. called the 2nd time they said the same thing. wouldn’t help us..just wanted the right order, didn’t know it would be this much of a hassle to eat food.. will NOT ever eat here again. you’re food is great but this is ridiculous. please resolve this issue with your associates.. would like my money back for this issue. I dont ever send in issues like this or call, takes a lot for me to do so.
thank you..

16 Aug 2016 while traveling back home from Saint Padre Island Beach after completing our vacation. My wife and I stop in at one of your restaurants #311 located in Port Aransas TX. After ordering and paying for our food to go, the manager approach me to tell me the I couldn’t be served until I leave and locked my hand gun “I had in my hoister on my side” into the trunk of my car. This really court me off guard since I routinely patron my local Restaurants from Saltgrass Steak House to McDonnell’s which includes Arby’s and my favorite Whataburger. After locking my gun in the trunk of my car, I returned and looked again to see if I missed any signs stating no guns at all. None was present! So, if any of your restaurants wants to prohibit anyone from entering with a firearm whether concealed or openly carrying in a holster without even knowing if they are in law enforcement, “which I’m not”, should post some kind of sign. I’m happy to turn around and not enter. But to tell someone to leave after they have completed ordering, make it look like discrimination of some sort because that person can pick and choose who they want to impose their rule on for whatever reason. If the manager would have just asked me to conceal my gun, would have been more acceptable instead of ordering me to lock my weapon in your trunk. This wouldn’t have excuse the fact that there weren’t any signs posted at the door to advise me of any restriction but I wouldn’t have been made to feel embarrassed in front of other patrons either. Since then I have been contacting all the corporate restaurants I patronize on their position concerning open and conceal weapon carry and the posting of any signs. So far all have no restrictions. I did find on the web that your company prohibits open carry but it is an old posting and I haven’t seen any signs posted at any of your restaurants. So, do your company still prohibits open carry and if so, will you please post signs at the entrance to informs us before we enter. Please feel free to respond.

Had a horrible experience at restaurant 110 in North Richland Hills, TX. First of all the lady at the cashier did not listen to my order, I asked for a burger with cheese. She charged me for cheese and then did not give me cheese.
EVERY time I go to this location they forget the cheese I PAID EXTRA for.
They also lie about the shake machine being broken. Simply because they do not want to make a shake. The woman at the cashier window, never says thank you, never looks at me when I’m talking to her, and is simply never polite in any way.
I’m sick of it.
Boycotting Wataburger.
At least at chick fila they are incredibly polite to you.

Ordered a burger and drink. Went to car to eat it. Walked back in to refill tea. Was stopped by Whataburger employee. She told me I could not leave the dining room then return and get refill. I pulled out my ticket, gave it to the women and said, ” I just bought this 10 mins ago, why can’t I get a refill?” She sited their policy. I asked to talk to a manager. After I talked to a manager I was told it was due to a health code. I told the manager that the policy was stupid that their was a man eating in their dining room with a pet rat on his shoulder that every employee had seen. I wrote a complaint to Whataburger 6 days ago and asked for a response. They did not care enough to respond. I’m calling Pasadena’s health department next to clarify the health code. I can think of several ways around the health code issue off the top of my head. After 20+ years, I’m getting my burgers elsewhere due to no response form Whataburger.

Had a TERRIBLE experience in the drive-through May 25, 2016 around 1pm. Was on a brief 30 minute lunch, had to wait in 2nd line behind 3 cars. Finally made it, was happy to get my patty melt combo. All smiles, until the young lady, for not apparent reason at all, dropped by bag in my window and walked off with my credit card in her hand, I attempted to pause the young lady walking away, back turned to me, with MY CREDIT CARD in hand just to ask if I can have napkins and ketchup. A simple request. The young lady never turned around, she acknowledged my request by throwing her hand out and I think she said ‘I’ll bring it back.” with the UTMOST POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKIILLS I’ve experienced from this location. How do you talk to someone when they are walking away? It felt like she had a problem with me personally the way she dropped my food in my window, or maybe she was having a bad day. Either way, this isn’t the customer’ s issue and by no means should you give this negative energy to a customer spending their valuable money. At this point, a young lady named Tierra, said she’s a manager. Ask what happened, apologized, offered the next meal free. The rude worker who started this fiasco comes back out the drive through door being confrontational and screamed “Get over it, Girl whatever!” Now noone has to experience this when they are spending their hard earned money. So I told her I just want my money back now, VERY EXCITED AND FEELING SO DISRESPECTED. She agreed, the manager went in with my card, then another manager, Veronica, in a black/blue shirt came out, and gave us our card back with the receipt. She ask what happened, I said I’m in a 30 minute lunch, I don’t the time to go back and forth, I offered to call her later today to go over it because I need to get back to work. UNFORTUNATELY, after glancing at my receipt, I noticed she never refunded me. So I hurriedly walked in to inquire about my refund and I hear the same manager Veronica talking loudly, being XXXXy in front of everyone, on the side of drive thru and kitchen area, in front of the employees and customers, saying “I’M NOT GIVING THEM THEIR MONEY BACK OR A FREE MEAL.” I know she thought I had driven off. I demanded my money back, she said gave me the burger! I handed her my card, hurried to the car, angry that I’m having to take this extra time to battle for my money back due to poor service, grabbed the back and slid it to her on the counter. She handed me my card then pulled it back, taunting my like a bully, like on that Progressive commercial with the old man who has a dollar on the fishing pole. CRAZINESS UNCALLED FOR MY SOMEONE WHO REPRESENTS WHATABURGER AS A MANAGER…..This is not GOOD and will potentially cause an array of issues which can very well spiral out of control quickly. She was tried her luck, and was very lucky this day, she will not get a MERCIFUL reaction from everyone.
Please be advised, I never asked nor did I want anything free, because I don’t plan on doing business with Whataburger again in part to this experience and past experiences at this location. This location is close and convenient to my home and I love Whatburger. The staff at this location is never consistent, always new people, perhaps as a result of bad management.
I called the location on Eastchase in Fort Worth where this occurred to ask for a point of contact to voice my complaint. VERONICA advised her boss is Michael and there is no way to contact him. You cant be serious! Whataburger you have to be careful who you let represent you as a manager. I also ask her to confirm if she gave me by money back, she said ‘you will get it!’ Then hang up. I will be taking all necessary actions to make sure the issue at this location is addressed.
Thanks,
Former Customer

i was on a roadtrip from Houston to dallas and I made a stop in Conroe. I went thru drive thru and I notice the line was long, but I know that most of them are. I really didn’t care about that but I did wait 20 minutes for my 2 meals that I had, which where just Whataburgers. When I opened my bag to eat my food my large fry I order was half full and my onion rings from my other meal where soggy and cold. My burger didn’t have onions at all when I asked for grilled onions, I also asked for extra bun oil and it was dry super dry. I asked for Monterrey jack cheese and American cheese and i got charged for both but only got one. That has been the worst experience had ever had at a Whataburger, it was even worse when i called the store to let them know and the GM of that store name was tomika washignton i believe got in an argument with me saying i was wrong about my order that it was right and she didn’t believe me at all. I guess she wanted to be the one who was right. She was very rude and unprofessional. I’m just going to stay with my local Whataburger.

Why some employees at the Corporate office use their company’s mobile phones for personal matters, sending inappropriate photos, videos to others. Human Resources should take a close look on this.

My husband was thrilled when one finally opened in our area, its his favorite.
Whataburge #1095
420 Highway 429
Rio Rancho, New Mexico 87144
We however still live a good drive up a mountain in Placitas, NM. Be that as it may he didn’t have a problem driving down for his favorite burger! Until last night when he decided to go down and pick up dinner from Whataburger instead of us cooking. When he got home I immediately picked up that he was very upset. When I asked he said nothing was wrong. As my husband is a Frail Type 1 Diabetic, and so I assumed he just needed to eat something. My husband went ahead and started eating while I was finishing up what I was doing first. Then he yelled and was very upset, and came into the room where I was with his hamburger…HIS VERY, VERY, VERY RAW DOUBLE WHATABUGER WITH CHEESE!! YES, you heard correctly the hamburger was raw, red, not pink red! He then proceeded to explain that he had waited 30 minutes in the drive thru for our order. He said the wait was ridiculous to begin with, and then they werent apologetic for the wait. So after a long drive up and down a mountain, a 30 minute wait and inconsiderate awful customer service at the drive thru. Now, he took a bite into 2 uncooked hamburger patties in his hamburger. Which now being an insulin diabetic on an insulin pump can be very dangerous once they have calculated their blood sugar, insulin and carbs they are about to consume. He already had programmed his insulin in but now couldn’t eat his meal. So I very quickly had to scramble and whip out pand, and prepare him something else so he wouldn’t end up on the ground having a seizure from a diabetic low. This is incompetence and disrespect as it fullest in my eyes. I actually thought that there was a possibility that only his was uncooked. But NO, MINE WAS ALSO RAW!!! What seemed like forever but he finally ate something else I made him. And I by then was also extremely upset, asked him for the receipt and called but was disconnected twice. Then finally a girl answered but their phone connection was so bad she couldn’t hear me nor could I hear her. She didn’t appologize, when I was finally able to somewhat explain. This is absolutely unacceptable. And after I had seen two uncooked, red hamburgers I got so sick to my stomach I vomited. It was absolutely disgusting!! If your Manager doesnr want to “Manage”, and ensure proper food prep and handling of her employees on her shift to ensure quality and safety of your customers then she should quit or be fired. This should not only fall onto the cook, but also & mostly the manager. That’s why there’s a manager. I have worked in the food industrial throughout my life and these practices are unsafe to the public. Every person working in the food service industry should assume that every customer could have health problems where the exact coordination of their food & meals is detrimental to their lives if not handled to the up most standards and importance. My husband being a little upset when he got home was now irrevelant. Trying to get him feed without him ending up on the floor in a seizure in a diabetic low or worse was now the priority. Which would have involved 911, an ambulance and ride to the ER and an extented stay at the nearest hospital. Which isn’t that near!!! Your toying with peoples well being when you work in the food service industr . They need to be properly trained and to have the mindset as if they were cooking for themselves or their own children. Or don’t be cooking food for the public! PERIOD! Don’t apply for manager positions if you can manage or customer service jobs if you can’t be polite and mindful of the public in which your serving. Its not safe nor is it fair to the public !! I work a facilitator and coordinate various meeting & events and place large $ orders at Whataburger when hosting meeting or facilitating various functions and events. Until now that is! Its goona take a lot of apologizing, or alot of bribery to return to Whataburger and give them our business again!! Does going back down the mountain and up again… Only to pick up an order for two cooked hamburgers that should have aleady been cooked to begin with sound rational to you??!!
I appreciate your attention on this matter. And we deserve enough respect as customers to not treat like a hungry that enjoys & loves to be served raw meat!!! Treat customers as you would want to be treated and respected.
Thanks,
Tanya Sena-Chavez

Whataburger 371 in Amarillo, TX needs someone to take a hard look at their quality of service and their attitude. Service is the slowest of any fast food I have ever been to. Side of sausage gravy consist of a 4 oz cup with 2 oz of gravy. Was asked to pull around front and someone would bring out my order. After 13 minutes I walked in to the register and there was my sack. Food was cold. This is not the first time something like this has happened. It is just the first time I have taken time to send you a message. PS Whataburger has been my favorite fast food since 1965. Hate to see managers run it into the ground.

Im sure I wont get a reply but here goes. Went to whataburger on 4th street near frankford in Lubbock Tx. Placed my order in the drive thru. #1 with onion rings, side order of gravy and a apple pie. Go to pay lady says there out of gravy would I like something else, I said no that was ok. So I look at my receipt and I was charged for the gravy anyway. So when I drive to next window to get the food, I mention it to manager, and told her it was ok dont worry about it. She hands me my food and of course I check it. Only a handburger no onion rings or pie. So I tell her and of course they say there sorry and correct the mistake. So I thought. Get home and I have onion rings but still no pie! Ugggghh. To far to go back. Ive always said if you dont like to deal with people dont work at a fast food place!! Walmart is always hiring stockers. So frustrated! But this is probably not going to be read anyways!

I usually stop at the Whataburger at Grissom and Timber Path. After the usual excuses that they don’t have what I ordered (but of course the attendant doesn’t bother to tell me this at the time I place my order) I am then asked if I want any condiments. I answer no thanks and the discover that no napkin is included in the bag. IS A NAPKIN A CONDIMENT?
What does it take just to get a napkin!
This happens EVERY time and I am sick of it. If your employees can’t even get this right how can I expect to visit Whataburger more often. Is there ANY quality control at your stores.

She never ask her employees to help she just took it upon herself to keep this restaurant clean and that she did. I hope one day for her to have her own Whataburger Restaurant where she can be General Manager because I know that restaurant will be clean at all times. The managers are rude to the employees, i heard the top manager tell one of her employees she was gonna break her face for just joking with her. They are very disrespectful…. they talk about employees behind their back and expect people not to defend themselves. Whataburger is a great place to work its just specific managers make it stressful.

I have never spoken to a rude manager before till today. I called to tell them that I found a hair in my burger and my husbands burger was raw and the manager acted like nothing was wrong. It took them forever to answer the phone and when they finally answered they did not say the business they answered it like they are at home. I am never eating there again.

This is a definition issue. You sell pieces not slices. However your employee did not ask if I desired three pieces at 40 cents per piece she assumed that’s what I wanted. I doubt you make purchases this way. You should always ask otherwise you are fooling the customer and this is unethical business practice. I will return when your employees ask how many “slices” at 40 cents each does the customer want. This gives the customer the ability to decide. Also three pieces of bacon raises the price of a Whataburger almost 30 percent. I doubt customers know this. Your company advertises that there are numerous ways to add to the burger order but does not advertise the predatory pricing associated with this choice.
Please forward my comments to your corporate office. I specifically asked NOT to be contacted yet you contacted me anyway. Another poor business action.

My experience with Whataburger reflects everything negative that I have read on the Internet. If we discount 50% as bogus, the fact that so many similar and legitimate concerns have been expressed is very alarming. The solution starts at the top, it is obvious that the upper tiers of management are more concerned with protecting their comfortable jobs than solving a growing crisis within the various profit centers. If proper management were the norm, enough control would be exercised to put a top to most of the inexcusable conduct I and others have experienced. It is a total waste of time trying to intelligently communicate with people who absolutely will not listen and hide behind inane corporate policy. Is it safe to dine at Whataburger, relative to the manner in which business is being conducted at all levels. I AM NO LONGER A CUSTOMER!
w. Parnell says
Today I called the customer relations department of Whataburger to voice my concern for the inability of an employee to properly process an order. After speaking with a representative who seemed unconcerned and very unhelpful I asked to speak with a supervisor. I HAVE NEVER SPOKEN WITH A RUDER COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE!
I can only hope her attitude is not reflective of company policy! Judging from all of the horror stories on the Internet Whataburger has grown beyond it’s ability to intelligently manage.
Those of us who buy the product provide the corporate income and our concerns should be taken as constructive criticism.

Nothing was done about it. I am 8 months pregnant and have a high risk pregnancy and can not be without a cell phone. so I quicky accessed my ipad and accessed the locator services and it was stating the phone was in the building. I waited with my family for about a hour to see if she would return my phone, while waiting one of my relatives noticed a Hispanic male with tattoos on his arm walk up to the counter without placing a order pick up a Whataburger bag and ran out of the building with it. I would like something to be done about this I have since placed a police report with South Padre police department. I have also contacted Whataburger corporate office with no success or help.

We had already left before it was cleaned up. After seeing all of this going in and the flustration i walked up front and asked an african american girl to make out order to go. As we were standing and waiting she dropped our sack of food picked it up and was about to serve it to us. I asked her if it was our food and she said ya. I told her i did not want it she could keep it and i wanted a refund. I asked to speak to the manager which was a korean lady. I told her she needed to get her staff under control and she stated she couldnt help everything that goes on. First of all I think that Whataburger is the best of the burger places. I was glad when they opened in Woodville, TX. They started out great. Good staff, clean place folks knew what they were doing and did it well. That’s what used to be. In the relatively short time they have been open, the whole thing has gone down hill..terrible staff..no visible manager…dirty floors…No one knows what to do and worse they don’t seem to care. Just left whataburger on south desert Blvd in el paso TX horrible service from the manager and general manager with the beige cap don’t know how or why these people get promotions has no customer service skills at all and runs around like a chicken without a head. Was not able to see his name tag but don’t plan ever to go back to this location the guy with the beige cap is preparing food with no gloves runs off like a turkey and comes back and keeps putting burgers together that is gross I asked an employee to let me speak to the Gm and he told me he was busy right now. This guy l should be running his store and instead of commuting health violations with his team this is very upsetting because I love whataburger and this visit let me down and grossed me out. I sure hope someone looks into this because it has to be done urgently or send someone to observe this underachieving general manager my goodness this is upsetting! I took my meal and was not given the opportunity to speak to this so called general manager so I just tossed my order cause he had his bare hands all over it and most bothering is that he is there where customers can see him doing this like I did. This is just not ethical or sanitary employees doing the same and following a lost boss what an embarrassment for whataburger to have people in charge like that. I sure hope this gets looked into. I know there used to be a different Gm before this guy because I as of now used to be a regular customer and have noticed for months back that the name for Gm on receipt has changed am not one to complain and understand mistakes happen but when the person in charge and I’m sorry for wording it like this but looks and acts like a total idiot and has his employees taking after his bad habits is unacceptable for me as a loyal customer to whataburger.this just makes the operation as a whole be totally wrong. I am very annoyed with the location in Roswell,mm they are so slow and dont know what they are doing. While waiting for my food i watched the manager throw balls of paper all over the floor and the employees pick them up. That is ridiculous especially when you’ve been waiting more than 10 minutes and the MANAGER IS PLAYING AROUND.

Oh yeah. Forgot to mention. It was a drive through order. Now, your business model probably says I should present my problem to the manager on duty to get satisfaction for the screw up. But imagine this. I go through the drive through, pay $9 for bacon cheeseburger, go home, open the burger. It’s cold, the bacon is under cooked, there’s no cheese. Now I’m supposed to drive back to the store, present it to the manager and get my satisfaction.
No. I don’t take time out of my day because you screwed up.
Prove me wrong. Get back to me and return my money. But you won’t. Because I’m right.
Julia says
Only a lousy corporation would raise their prices and lower their, already low, food standards. I worked in the restaurant business for more than 28 years, so I’m kinda good at this. The burgers have always been served cold, but now they charge $9 AND get your order wrong. I don’t care if the employees are happy to see me, or I get my (cold) burger in less than 2 minutes, or paying for a product that is worth my wait. What I won’t tolerate is a lousy product for a price that says gourmet, getting it under cooked, then getting less than what I paid for, i.e. a wrong order.
Bottom line: You charge too much for a terrible product, and you couldn’t care less. You don’t deserve to be in business, and I won’t contribute to your poor business model.
Most Sincerely,
JEO

I have numerous complaints about the store in Rosenberg, tx on highway 36! Samir Patel would be the GM there. And let me start out by saying I am a former employee as of yesterday. I finally had my melt down after a year of harrasment and judgmental remarks from Samir. I will be the first to admit that yes, my attitude is poor considering how I and others have been treated for years. Samir is in no way shape or form professional at all. He’ll leave the store in the middle of a rush or whenever he wanted to, my co-worker and Samir had an altercation not too long ago, he told her to leave infront of customers and employees anand she did clocked out and went to the restroom, he then followed her to the restroom. She was to scared to tell anyone, she velt violated. I know the word got down to a higher manager, Nothing was done. As always. Another time my co-worker Ashley Jones was sexually harrassed by Naeem another manager, and again NOTHING was done about that eitger, and yes it was taken higher than Samir as well. Samir has also been giving me drawers short lately, not too long ago, I clocked in got a drawer for drive-thru and Samir personally gave it too me, I said are you sure its good? Because it looked short to me he said yes its good rushing me out of the office. I went out and counted it, and it was 20$ short. I kept asking him for 20$, he kept ignoring me, and yes literally acting a if he couldn’t hear me. I asked another employee to go and ask him for 20$ b/c my drawer was short, he told him ok hed be right out, never came. I had to wait until a second manager came in, and I told hee the situation, she went and got it right away. This hasnt been the first time. Another issue, as if there arent enough already, I always got picked on when it came to me and my absences at work, when others will do a no call no show for a straight week. And its the people that are getting paid 10$ and hour that do so, while everyone else that gets paid less, is busting their ass and never gets noticed. Another thing, there are some employees that get paid more than what they are supposed to. Some of them are reaching into a team leaders wage, and that isnt fair to the people there over a year or two, and definitely not to the team leaders. One more issue that I can actually think of, if there’s a remake that needs to be made, and there’s a burger in the heater thats been sitting there 15-30 minutes? Samir will use it. Hes done it COUNTLESS times even after Susie (the area manager) has told him not too. You’re supposed to be able to turn to your GM when there’s a problem, he is the only problem. And even if we try and talk to him, he pushes us out. And he always looks down on me and the other girls I do drive thru with. He’ll roll his eyes at us, mumble stuff, huff ans puff, but when it comes to the other dudes on drive-thru he glorifies them. Yes some of them deserve it, but a GM is never supposed to compare one to another. And hes done that to me way to many times. He makes me and others feel so low. And ridiculous. Why is he even a general manager? Someone needs to do something about this because these arent even half of the problems. If no one does, I’ll take it further!!!!
Herline says
I confirm what you are saying the man needs to be remove because he cares nothing about his staff or the guess that comes in I will never eat at that nasty a place.it sad they let be a manger of any kind.

I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH EVERYTHING SAMANTHA SAID. Samir is so unprofessional and I understand he has a different background but there is NO reason to degrade women. Especially when all the little boys he hires do NOTHING. Most of them worthless. It is ridiculous to hire someone at $10. It makes no sense at all. He’s had so many investigations done on him and of course the Area Manager saves his ass. I don’t see why. He’s the crappiest GM ever. On top of that, he’s gross. He doesn’t even wash his hands after coming back from a smoke break. He constantly walks out of the store to go smoke or randomly just leaves. Oh yeah and if he’s over in any of his drawers he takes it and if he’s short he puts his own money. And he talks so much crap about his employees to other employees now that is unprofessional. SAMIR NEEDS TO BE FIRED

I went to the WB at 7434 S Staples about 9AM today. They weren’t busy, except for some drive-thrus. I waited at the counter for 5 minutes (that’s a long time to stand there!) before someone finally took my simple order. When I went to get my coffee, the regular coffee was empty, so I settled for decaf, not wanting to wait at the counter for 5 minutes again. Soon a waitress came out and I told her the coffee was empty. She said “OK.” Then I had to wait 10 minutes (!) for my simple order to be brought to my table. While I was eating an older couple came in and when the lady went to get coffee I noticed there was still no coffee! This used to be a good place with good service. What happened?

A friend of mine went into The Whataburger on Bert Kouns in Shreveport, La. I was shocked and appalled by not only the mishandling of the food but by the way the woman behind the counter handled this man’s complaint. It’s bad enough the language that the irate customer was using but to have the Employee actually start cursing back at him was another matter entirely. Lookin’ bad for you guys, real bad. You need to handle this.
Hollis says
The video made at WAB on Bert Kouns was horrible and threatening! It’s all over Facebook! Doesn’t speak well for those who work there. It’s on video her threatening to spit on his food if he ever comes in there again! This all started due to poor customer service, lazy service, and an embarrassment to this company.

I was really excited when they started building a whataburger across the street from where I stay (Houston, Texas). When it opened I decided to give it a try.
I ordered the usual which is a jr. Burger with mayo, ketchup, and cheese only. I should have known that it wouldnt be a good experience when my order was not repeated back to me. I paid for my food and didnt receive a receipt but didnt worry too much because it might be on the food bag.I get to the second window and was immediately given my drink. I waited for 10 minutes to get my order after given the person behind me order. I finally got my food and pulled up to check my order. No receipt, no orange paper indicating cheese and a burger full of veges.I decided to go in and as soon as I walked in I was greeted with a stank face from the two employees working at the front. I walked up to the counter and was not greeted or asked what I needed. I told them my order was wrong and they dis nothing!!! A man came up to me and asked me how could he help and I told him.
The same time I could hear the employees talking about me!!! Just rude. Still giving me a stank face. The guy took my bag and went to the back.
A couple of employees came from the back to look at me went back and it was filled with laughter. He brought the bag back and said he threw in a free cookie. When I went home to eat the burger looked atrocious!!! And was really cold.
I will NEVER go back to this whataburger again. Why work in customer service when you have a bad attitude?

Visited one of your newer stores on Bulverde and 1604 in San Antonio today (Saturday) about 5:30pm. I’ve been going to Whataburger since the first one opened on S.Staples in Corpus Christi (so I know how a Whataburger should be). When I was growing up Whataburger was considered a “big date” when the guy took you there…..and you could even watch them make it. I can still sing the original TV jingle (can you?). There simply was not a burger that was better than Whataburger. Since I’ve been in San Antonio (8 years) the burgers were certainly not the ultimate level of “burger Nirvana” that we had in Corpus Christi, but still a darn good burger. I figured SA would get better and they did usually come pretty close later on (SA still needs a lot of work on the BOB…don’t know how SA can mess something that simple up, but I’ve just quit ordering that here). However, today was a new level: The absolute worst burger (of any burger ever, anywhere) of any burger I’ve ever eaten. There was one other car in the drive-thru besides me. The complete order-pay-wait-get the order experience was over 20 minutes (no receipt given). The meat on my (my husband’s was fine) burger patties (double meat/double cheese) was Sahara dry, hard and would have been crispy if it had been fresh, the bun (I asked for toasted and ya’ll used to get it right just about every time) was burned and so stale it could have been mistaken for a kitchen sponge. The final insult was literally GREEN tomatoes. That one I’ve never seen before on a store-bought burger. This burger was a new low on the “bad burger” scale. I can understand getting one thing wrong, but the cook never should have served this. Oh, yes, I could pick my teeth with the French fries if I’d been so inclined. Do hope you take care of the problem, especially since the Corp. offices are in SA now.

ON MONDAY JUNE 9, 2014 I WAS ASSAULTED IN THE BACK/DRY STORAGE AREA OF THE STORE BY THE THE GM AT THE STORE ON N. NAVARRO IN VICTORIA TEXAS. HER NAME IS DEBORAH WILLIAMS AND ALTHOUGH I HAD SUFFERED A LOT OF HARRASSMENT FROM HER FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR I WORKED THERE, I NEVER THOUGHT SHE WOULD CROSS THE LINE LIKE SHE DID. A WORKER THAT LIVES W/HER WAS STANDING BY AND SAID NOTHING. IN FACT, SHE LATER TOLD ME IN THE PARKING LOT THAT I TAKE THINGS TOO SERIOUS. ANYWAY, MS. WILLIAMS GRABBED ME AROUND MY NECK AND FACE BEFORE SLAMMING ME INTO THE LOCKERS. I ASKED HER SEVERAL TIMES TO LET ME GO AND SHE DIDNT BACK OFF UNTIL I SAID IT WAS AGAINST THE LAW WHAT SHE WAS DOING. ITS LIKE SHE WAS IN A TRANCE AND DIDNT REALIZE WHAT SHE WAS DOING UNTIL IT WAS TOO LATE. SHE DID TRY TO CALL MY PHONE RITE AFTER, BUT I DIDNT ANSWER AND WAITED FOR THE COPS TO ARRIVE. WELL, I DID FILE CHARGES AND WENT DOWNTOWN TODAY TO GIVE MY WRITTEN STATEMENT TO DETECTIVES. I PLAN TO SEE THIS ALL THE WAY THROUGH AS I HAVE LOST WAGES THROUGH HER RETALIATION THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. I HAVE BEEN DEGRADED BY HER AND CURSED AT IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS AND CO-WORKERS. I DONT FEEL I CAN TRUST MANAGERS ANYMORE TO DO THE RIGHT THING. IM ALSO AFRAID I WILL LOSE MY JOB OR BE RATALIATED AGAINST EVEN MORE FOR FOLLOWING THROUGH W/THIS CASE. issues that I'm tired of says
I have been employed at whataburger for 2 years. There have been a lot of issues that I have been going through. I’m a very hard worker because I take pride in my job. I thought pledge for whataburger states.” The brilliant of Orange, is our signature color, shine through each whataburger family member. We take pride in our job. We care for each and every member. We absolutely love severing our customers. That is what I believe in. Let me get to the issues that I have been going through. I know have time you don’t know what the managers, team leaders, and general manager operated y all companies. I’m start with store 843 in dibervillle, ms. Since I started I grew to love whataburger each an everyday. I enjoy helping others. Also, I enjoy working with whataburger company.
First, it started with my sister wyteshia McWilliams. Because your general manager didn’t follow procedure of going by it the correct way. Instead of her calling wyteshia McWilliams in the office to discuss the matter. She did it in front of the whole store. In it went from there. That is not how a general manager supposed to act.
Second, they fired Kevin McMillan for fake compliants. Saying he sex harassment someone on the job. Which he always joke with people cause that was kevin. A hard dedicated worker. That love and knew every one in the store. They reason I know this is because the manager Danny Segal called in told him bout what Rachel Williams did to get ride of him. Which was wrong.
Third, Rachel Williams scandals alot of people names behind their back for no reason what so ever. She treat people with no respect. But she want you to treat her with respect. Which I disagree on. She don’t call you in the office to talk bout the issues she just tell yhu in front of everyone. Which is not professional. In she supposed to wear whataburger uniform with pride. It be so many people wanting a job she doesn’t even give them a chance to even see will they make it. But she quick to hire other employees she know due to the fact she no they parents. Which is not a law she hire anyone she want but sometimes she is not fair. She like this girl use to work for whataburger name Chantel Lewis she called Rachel and ask her can she get her job back Rachel told her to come fill her application out. When came in did that Rachel waited until she left an stated, “I’m not going to hire her.” So why would you waste her time and gas and her time. Just be honest bout it.
Then in our handbook we are not allowed to wear Color in our hair but this girl name abi had it in her head for almost two months. Did she get in trouble. But if I would have came in there it would have been
Some issues. Rachel Williams have no sympathy for people with kids what so ever. We can’t call out if it have something to do with our kids. She have to give us the 3rd degree. But she called out cause her cats was sick. Reall, but she trips when we called out..then I have been there for 2 years with only a 20 cents raise I bust my tail day in an day out to make sure I do my part in some just to keep a smile on Rachel Williams face. But sometimes that is not good enough for her.
Myra wheeler she was one of Whataburger she went to Ocean Springs store and she never had bad ser tec. But your manager Becky the window should bring Mississippi in her employee Jonan was making a fake doXXXXents about her and come to find out that Mark told her what that was trying to do in your area manager he did nothing bout it. I know if that was me I would have filed a lawsuit. Cause that is wrong and totally disrespectful for your managers in your GM to wear a shirt with pride and do stuff like that now the store is also white people not being a racial or nothing but this did they don’t look right on your company unless y’all are the same way which I don’t feel that in my bones but something has to be done its to much that is going on in the stores. Whataburger have absolute best people that leave and walk out and never come back of the drama.
Last but not least, my name is tawaii mcwilliams. Today April 31, 2014. There was A incident at Whataburger 843. I felt disrespected cause of your manager Eddie. It’s started like this I clocked in at 7:50. Which I was scheduled to go to the bubble at work. But he waited until 8:10 to give me my dtaw. So I took the draw as I was finishing up my conversation with Tamar and ko. He stated you need to hurry up in count your draw. So I told him its an a, b, c conversation so see your way out. Then he going to say yhu got five minutes or else. So I snap. I told him your not my daddy in you will not talk to me like that. Then he want ed to talk bout it. So I went in the office yes I was raising my voice cause I was already heated. So I walked out of the office. Cause I was done talking. Instead of him just letting me cool down he follow me to the bubble and still going on an on. So I had to tell him I’m already angry so just leave me alone which he didn’t he keep going on. He a manager it’s a right and a wrong way to talk to people. If he would gave me draw the first time I walk behind the counter and clocked in. He should have had my draw ready. Then ask tawaii can you please count your draw quickly cause I need you in the bubble. That what have been appropriate. Instead of him telling me to just clock in go home they had to call Don to the 843. I was not going to spare I would have just left with no problem. But for your GM to do what she did that was mess up. But she quick to ask me to fight her battle when an employee or customer want to get crazy with her. I know I have my days cause I’m pregnant. Yes I do have a bad attitude cause been in there make you have an attitude. Cause the environment is not pleasant or you feel the cleansing in the air . sometimes I don’t like walking in there cause of your managers. With they attitude and they talk to yhu any kind of the way..

I hope y’all check this. First, I call you Waterburger and have been enjoying since I was a child. Nothing better than a Waterburger! I am in Arizona and went to the one on Chandler Blvd. Y’all have to get there quick, I returned my food and demanded my money back. Please get that fixed, I live here for the next few months. If that location has ruined Waterburger forever, I am going to have to let everyone know. Plenty of people to hire and there was no excuse for what I just witnessed. I had to go to In and Out. Do me a solid and have this reported. It was a ghost town and I would prefer you lock the doors then ruin the reputation.

I live in laredo tx I always go to the location on 9102 McPherson.. It was the 26 of April we stopped by to get some food, I did realize that I didn’t have any change so I over ordered just so I could pay with a 100 dll bill. As i aproched the window the lady tells me it was 29.97, I proceeded to give this lady the bill she then gives me the receipt and tell me to move to the second lane because their were manny cars in front of me & behind me. When I parked & counted my money I realize that she had only given me 50 dlls when it should have been 70 I imidiately got out to let them know the mistake. So this employee calls the manager on duty it was another lady who approaches me & asked the situation. After I updated her she went back to check and she took the money they had gave me. After 15 min of being there waiting & my food getting cold she comes out & tells me that I’m wrong that she gave me the right change! I got upset and took everything out of my purse & told her I only had 100s nothing else. Again she said well I’m sorry but she’s right. So I told her I wanted my change or I would call the police. Then she went back in and called this guys that had a black shirt that said financial management, he tell me that they checked her register again and that she’s right so I told him ok then I’m just going to call the cops & have them sort this out, he then proceeded to yell at me and tell that she’s right and that I’m wrong I told him ok then let me call the cops and have them check my car my kids my purse & I told him I have never been accused of trying to steal from some one in front of all those people passing by while this person argued with me, he went back in to double check & tears started running down in front of my kids I felt humiliated & our food was cold to top it off. Then he walks out and says we double checked it appears you were right here’s your change sorry. And walked back in the store. I was humiliated embarressed and accused of trying to steal my own change. And to top it off my food got cold. I have decided to get an attorney and place a law suite for what they did to me..humiliate me in front of my kids get yelled at by this guy who I don’t even know?? I was there roughly around 30-40min. I’m sorry I use to love taking my kids there now all I want is for them to feel what I felt! You should have cameras to avoid things like this.

Hello.
Seems to me that 1/9 comments on this page are just complaints.
Either 1 out of 9 people have a terrible time, or 8/9 people have nothing better to do than go to Whataburger locations and get PERSONALLY OFFENDED and have their FAMILY NAME TARNISHED because one employee out of the noted 22,000 above forgot to smile while they delivered your plate of food to you, or perhaps they did something HUMAN like picked their teeth in their car. As food service employees, they are required to wash hands before preparing your food.
Maybe we should sit back and enjoy the food, stop complaining about the fact that people are working to cook food for you, they deliver it to you, and for the love of all that’s holy if your food is cold, ask them to heat it up or make a new meal. If the fries are too/not salty then SAY SOMETHING and stop blurting out into space the tiny little problems you had while purchasing 6 dollars worth of food, from a fast food restaurant.
Have a pleasant day, and get a life.
You rock Whataburger!

To be honest my daughter who just turned 18 has worked at Whataburger for over a year now. I have gone in there and seen how they treat their employees. So please do not discredit the complaints of the workers. In fact a lot of these locations grossly disrespect and take advantage of their good employees. I was a single mom for most of her life and she has a great work ethic. It is a hard thing to try and encourage your child to stay in a position because that is pretty much the only type of job they can get until their 18. Trying to get in touch with the corporate office is a joke. I have tried twice for her while at my job because she’s in school most of the day. I have yet to hear back from anyone. So I believe the customers when they say there is bad service. Even with the family discount I’m offered from my daughter working there I still choose 9 times out of 10 to go somewhere else.

I’m from Corpus Christi Texas and one of your whataburgers is located in flour bluff. My complaint is that you have rude, unpleasant, and uncaring employees. Plus the food isn’t warm when I and others receive it also there’s holes in your ketchups. The biggest problem you have here is employees. My opinion is you should send someone down here and HIRE OR TEACH employees soon or I will call till this is settled. Thank you.

I have been a fan of Whataburger since growing up in Pasadena Tx. In the sixties and seventies. Now that I am sixty-five yrs old and live in Southeast Houston, my husband and I still eat at Whataburger, at least once a week.
We eat at many different Whataburger locations depending on where we are in the area and I know where they are believe me. Some have good people working there and some don’t.
Most of the time we go to the Fuqua store close to our house and because of a worker there named Tina. She is the friendliest most efficient worker I have seen in any burger place or restaurant. I believe her crew is great too.
She is a great asset to Whataburger. Please reward her or recognize her diligence with your company.
Sincerely,

Hi my complaint is about one of the locations in Houston
To be specific the one on 2820 chimney rock rd 77056
I have living on this area for a long time . And had visit
Several whataburguers locations . And always had great
Experiences 🙂 . But this location I just mention Not at All
They have the rudest service among all locations around here
The way they talk to yup is never friendly . Always rushing you
To order even if is not line waiting to order. So basically that store
Do not represent at all the friendly service you always advertise 🙁
Does not matter if you go thru the drive thru or walk in . The rudeness
Is all over. After you order they deliver the food without saying hi or
Giving u a smile . They just drop the food and they don’t offer u ketchup
Or napkins as the other locations does . Do something plss :)) is the closest
Location I have. And I love whataburguer . THANK YOU

28 February 2014
I went into Whataburger on the 27the of March 2014 and ordered a Whataburger. I was then given a receipt and told if I fill out a survey online I would receive a free Whataburger. Lie number one. This is all that was said to me. Sounded like a great deal. Today on the 28th I filled out the survey and went into store 572 to redeem my free Whataburger. I was told in order to receive a free burger I would also have to buy a fry and a drink.
I told the cashier this is not what I was told yesterday. She kind of smiled and said it says that on the receipt. I said again this is not what I was blatantly told and I have been lied to.
I set down in the store and the General Manager Stephanie McClamma brought my food to me. I let her know what happened and she said well it is on the receipt. I said I feel like I was lied to, so in the future you may want to tell the customer they will receive a free burger in addition to buying a fry and a drink if they go online and fill out the survey. Stephanie then told me she used to tell people that but they were getting upset when we told them that. So I said how is your new policy working out for you at this present moment. She smiled and I proceeded to eat my food.
I then called corporate after I ate and found out there policy on what is to be said about receiving a free Whataburger if a online survey is filled out. I was told that the cashier is to tell you will receive a free Whataburger if you fill out this survey in addition to buying a fry and a drink.
So I called Stephanie back and said I found out cooperates policy on what is to be said to the customer upon being handed a receipt about a free Whataburger and repeated it to her. She said yes that is the policy. So I said so are making up your own policy or just not complying with current policy. She said well we quit saying that because people already knew about that. Lie number two. I said Stephanie you just lied to me again. You said before you quit telling customers this because they were getting upset and now you are saying you quit telling customers this because they already know about it. After she lied to me twice I told her I will never eat at your store again and hung up the phone.
Corporate, you have a General Manager at store 572 that has no problem lying and misleading your customers, in addition to making up her own policies.
Thank you

My burger had almost an inch of mustard piled on it and it was not eatable! Also the fries and so over salted that the roof of my mouth burned. This is the worst whataburger I’ve ever had. I’m disappointed and will not return.

Hi. My name is Yesenia and I’ve been trying to get a hold of a Karla from the real estate department to get an email so I can send over some information about my property that you might be interested in.
I would greatly appreciate any responses.
Thank you,
