History
Eva Vest says
I am 72 years old & disabled. My son, Rodney E. Vest, 53 years old and Downs Syndrome accompanied me on the New Enland-Canadian Cruise from 9/22/18 through 9/29/18. We stayed in a handicapped Room with a Balcony. On the second night of the cruise, I fell on the wet metal entrance to the bathroom & hurt my arm and bad right leg which had it’s forth operation on 3/29/18. I was bleeding profusely & wrapped a towel around my arm because no one answered the Medical Office Phone. I called Guest Services as soon as someone answered the next morning and I had to keep my arm in a tourniquet and walk quite a long way to the basement to see a doctor. I was bandaged and given an antibiotic cream & told that I could call and they would bring bandages to my room. I called, the guy was very rude, said he could not leave the desk & told me to come down to get the bandages. I can barely walk because my right leg was cut 3 inches shorter than my left leg and I have to wear lifts on my shoes. It was difficult for me to walk that far without oxygen. I now have a growth on my arm where it hit the side of the door. I have to see my Dermatologist next week to see what this is. Needless to say, I was confined to my room for the remainder of the trip . It rained every day and my son had to walk in the rain to get to the “Anytime Dining” & I rarely ate at all because of the pain in my leg.
Customer Service got around to calling me today & offered me a $50 ship credit on the juice & soda package which I never used because Room Service charged for Juice. Each package of Juice & soda was in excess of $100. nowhere did it say that it was not applicable with Room Service. I am completely upset with The Regal Princess because we were at sea most of the time because of a storm and my son got soaking wet going to and from The Anytime Dining Room. We were unable to go to the Reserved Dining Room because of my injuries. I thought that surely the ship would offer a reduced rate for another cruise in the Spring Time but the Customer Service Rep said that they did not do that for anyone. I need to hear from someone in the Corporate Office within the next 10 days or I will have my Attorney seek damages. I will find out what this nasty growths are on my right arm next week.
