The Bicycle Hotel and Casino was founded in 1984 by George Hardie in Bell Gardens, California. The company operates a poker and cardroom casino, along with a hotel. The original funding apparently was found to be money laundered from a drug operation. For most of the 1990’s, the casino made millions for the US government, who seized the business in a tax lien.
Today, the casino is on the legal side of the street. It became the first casino to broadcast live poker games online, and today the company offers a subscription service. The club is now a stop on the World Poker Tour.
In 2015, the casino and hotel underwent a dramatic overhaul and renovation. The casino and hotel now has 7 stories, several restaurants, a sun deck, outdoor bar, and an on-site brewery.

In defiance and protest of the manner in which Ivanka Trump has been treated by Nordstrom and retailers, I contacted Customer Service to obtain an address to return a cut up Norstrom credit card. Denied, but able to transfer to cancel by phone. No, said I, the point is to make my political statement, cut the card and return it…ala Exxon. Upon noting to representative every bill has an Nordstrom add, she said that would work…so, say I, I can pull a bill and get it but you can’t provide by phone. “No I can’t.” Wow – you guys are a bunch of “chicken sh*ts” I don’t typically use this type of language, but you deserve it!! Please don’t respond with declining sales mantra…it’s a retail left wing move. Oh, then I find you’re in Washington…Daaahhh
