Verillas has come out with Pride (gay) inspired items every year since 2016.
While Varillas is a popular site for Cosplay fans and the LGBTQ crowd, it gained unwelcomed notoriety when the Trump-supporting group Proud Boys, showed up at a “Stop the Steal” protest event, with all participants wearing the same yellow and black kilts from Verillas.
Owners Allister Greenbrier and Justin LaRose saw at least $750 worth of clothing in the photos of the Proud Boys. They donated $1,000 to the NAACP to “redirect hate to love”. The company also retired the yellow and black kilt design.
Varillas Lifestyle maintains a corporate office in Fredricksburg, Virginia.
