Indian Acres Tree Farm was founded in 1961 in Medford, New Jersey, by Joe and Betty Tatem. The company operates a farm which currently sells seasonal items, such as Christmas trees.
The company is still family owned and operated, with third generation farmer Ryan Olson preparing to take over. The farm currently grows and sells Christmas trees and pumpkins for Halloween. There are numerous, seasonal attractions, such as hay rides, bonfire nights, and school parties, as well as tours for school children. The farm also has a small gift shop where handmade, seasonal crafts are sold.
Indian Acres Tree Farm attempted other attractions, such as zip lines and rock climbing, but insurance costs were too high. Ryan Olson has plans to transition the farm away from its current plan and moving more in the direction of becoming a sustainable, organic produce farm that would provide organic produce to the local area.
