Holiday House was founded in Palm Springs, California, in 1951 by Lloyd Whaley. Designed by Herbert Burns, the hotel was designed to be more of a family home, rather than a hotel. The building has been sold several times and changed names, the most recnetly being in 2016 to current owners Jeff Brock and Richard Crissman, who also own the Sparrows Hotel. The rooms has been remodeled and the hotel has to its original name of Holiday House.
The hotel has 28 rooms and suites. None of the rooms have phones or televisions, but wifi is available. The hotel rents only to those 21 and older and is small pet friendly. There is a heated saline pool, a game room, and a restaurant that is available only for hotel guests and room service. The focus of the hotel is on art and tranquility.
