Bullet Blocker was founded in 2007 by former Sheriff’s Deputy and serviceman Joe Curran in Lowell, Massachusetts. The company makes bullet proof vests, jackets, and other items.
After Columbine, Curran wanted to somehow protect his children at school. He began by cutting up bullet proof vests and fitting them into his children’s backpacks. Soon he was making these backpacks for family members and friends. Today, Bullet Blocker makes a vareity of products, all designed to help people and children feel more safe when away from home.
The company makes briefcases, backpacks, carry on bags, vests, purses, jackets, compression vests, as well as a wide variety of clothing. Company headquarters are currently located in Lowell, Massachusetts. Bullet Blocker began with just Curran, but today employs approximately 10 persons. In 2015, the company expanded to a new 7,000 square foot facility to meet increasing demand.
