Synchrony are crooks and money-grubbers whose only financial plan is to exploit their customers to the maximum they can get away with. They have no morals and less concern for the havoc and ruin they create in people’s lives through their policies which have no basis in facts or justification in the past history of their victims. But don’t just complain here – write and call the companies with whom you are doing business who are forcing you to use Synchrony as their credit surrogates and make sure they know their association with Synchrony is have a very negative impact on your continued interest in doing business with them, i.e., using their services or purchasing their products as long as they continue using Synchrony. Let them know they have plenty of competitors who won’t force them to deal with banks as unscrupulous as Synchrony and that who their company does business with has a serious impact on who you choose to do business with. You’ll find out real quick who values you as a customer and who doesn’t but just imagine if everyone let them know !

I have a CareCredit Account – that has promotional purchases on it. I have been trying to make payments monthly towards these purchases after making my statement payment every month. I have to make the payment online and then be on hold for over 45 minutes to try and get someone to reallocate the extra payment I just made to go towards my Promotional Purchases, they never get it right and some of my payments that should have been reallocated towards my Promotional Purchases does not get done and I then have to stay on hold for 45 minutes or more to try and get them to allocate the right amount towards my Promotional Purchase, instead of you just fixing your site and allowing me to pay directly what I want each month towards any Promotional Purchase I have, you make me go through this aggravation every month. And my one Promotional Purchase account is still wrong by $100 and no one can figure it out. This is so ridiculous and frustrating, when all you have to do is fix the site.

I am very upset about your decision regarding a dispute on eBay. I guess you are sticking with the seller’s policy of “No Return”. This tells me that you really did not investigate or if you do, you just care about your sale and does not care about your consumer satisfaction. This is clearly a work of a very organize and syndicated scammers, but you don’t see it that way. I have been an account holder with various synchrony bank accounts, never paid 1 of them late, received a credit line increase with over half my synchrony accounts only to have them turn around a week later and close everyone of my synchrony accounts. I have no late payments on any of my other a counts or mortgage. This is purely about race. I’m a successful African American woman and they can’t stand to see me managing my credit responsibly. Comenity Bank never has done this. If you are African American please don’t use synchrony bank cards.

My name is Kamisha De’Witt and I have had a PayPal Master Card account with your company for approximately 1 year and 11 months. I logged into my account this morning to make an extra payment and realized my account had been closed. This is very upsetting to me considering I make on time payments monthly and usually pay more than the minimum payment. I called customer service to find out what happened thinking maybe it was an honest mistake. Customer service informed me that my account was closed because I had a returned payment of $61.00. I informed the representative that notes should be in my chart where I called on the 4/15/20 informing them that because of the Pandemic we were not paid at my job on schedule. I apologized for the mistake and corrected it immediately by making another payment of $102.09. The representative stated that he sees the note but could not help me.
I asked to speak with a manager. Explained the situation to the manager and she reinforced what the first representative said. She also informed me that in February I had a returned payment of $829.23. I told her I did and I corrected that mistake as well. That particular payment was returned because I made a payment out of my Savings account and I immediately corrected the payment. I was unaware that federal law permits making payments from savings accounts and therefore my payment was returned. I asked the representative if they could transfer the credit limit on the closed Master Card account to the PayPal credit since the account cannot be reopened. The representative said no.
The point I’m trying to make is I’m not a customer that called to get payments deferred because of the Pandemic but instead I’m still making on time payments and paying more than the minimum. I believe your company needs to be more empathetic to what’s going on in the world. We are in a Pandemic. Your company should waive late fees, nsf fees, defer payments and not close customer accounts especially during this time. I really love PayPal and I’m very sad to hear that this is company policy and my account cannot be reopened. I will make sure I post my experience with your company on every credit blog from My Fico, Credit Karma, Credit Boards, Credit Sesame, Wallet Hub and etc… and encourage potential customers to look for a better card that has more to offer. I have 2 other cards with your company and seeing as though I’ve experienced what I’ve experienced with the PayPal Master Card, I will pay all my balances off to $0 on my PayPal credit, PayPal Master Card and Sam’s credit and will no longer use these accounts. I really hate this matter could not be resolved.

I had a Walmart credit card stolen and I report to them plus the local police department. I never receive another card for the stolen card. Someone made chargers in 2017 and they investigate and sent me a letter saying it was fraud.That letter was in March of 2017 and they stated they would have it removed from my credit report. They never did. Two years of phone calls they send me a second letter saying that they are going to remove it from my credit report in October 2019. They did not. They closed my case. Then I called and they sent a letter for me to fill out and I mailed both letters plus the police report to them. Someone threw away my letters and they closed my case. I sent them the copies and I keep the originals. I have the receipt for the copies that were sent. This company is the worst company I ever had to deal with. They lie and will do anything except for the right thing. Consumers Beware! All you have to do is listen to all my phone calls we had to see who telling the truth.

I have been trying to have them correct all the errors they have made on my Belk credit card for over six months, they continue to adjust the old acvount that was closed in 2017 and transferred to the new account. I have made payments on The belk on line account May, July and August like I have done for years, I tried payment in store and also via telephone. All payments were not credited. But there have been adjustments in the old account. I have talked to Ashley Morgan who left me a message that the errors were found and fixed. I look and the phone payment was credited to the old account. They are ruining my credit and health.

Did you receive a refund? I have been waiting months for a refund check from Synchrony and each time I call them I am told it was mailed out. Then they would say they would issue me a new check. Of course I didn’t receive that one either. They claim they have my correct. They must have because I have received numerous pieces of literature form them. But no check. I have had the most horrible experience with Synchrony Credit/BP. Three different times I have paid my BP bill on the Synchrony Credit/BP and it has not posted. I have confirmation numbers and proof that it has come out of my account and they have not recognized it and charged me late fees. I ordered two pairs of glasses from Cohens Fashion Optical at 115-10 Liberty Ave in New York city, Never patronize this business, they sell used and sample frames. I paid $1200 for two frames and they tried to give me the sample frames, when i disputed this charge with synchrony bank, they said cohens stated the ordered new frames, however I shouldn’t have to accept anything from cohen after the fact. Worst experience ever, I call customer service due to the registration from old bank Comenity to this bank Synchrony, and the customer service stinks, they hung up the phone on me several times before I can even speak to someone when I did get an agent this is what happens, Shannon could not help me get online to pay my bill on 8/26/19, I had to do it through the automatic system by phone, called on 8/27/19 the day my bill was due and could not get decent help from the tech support person Lamont he was rude and not willing to help at all told me I had to wait for a letter to register, and after giving up calling the last person I spoke to was Sanajj she was not able to help, last person I spoke with was the supervisor Mark id # 29004, he refuses to give his last name, now with all this being said I do not think I want to deal with this bank at all in the new transition and seem to me they have no regards for decent customer service and that is a reflection on the bank. Hope things get better because if this is what I have to go through I will give up my HSN card.

Worst Ever! I’ve never experience such a scam like this bank,;Synchrony Bank. They charged me for expired promotional balances and said my bank rejected two of my payments. Took them 8 days to notified me of this problem. I asked to verify my banking account information with them and was told they didn’t need to. Been with Pay Pal for over 3yrs and never had problems with my bank rejecting their payments until Synchrony Bank took over Pay Pal. I was charged late fees, interest, and expired promotions. My total balance increased significantly due to Synchrony Bank’s errors or should I say scam.
From June to August 2019, I called them every month and was told the problem would be taken care of but nothing changed and everyone I talked to provided “different” incorrect information. Synchrony Bank placed me on hold for 30 minutes each time I called transferring me 4 different times.
Don’t use this bank their a HUGE RIP-OFF.

If I were you I would get in contact with the people who regulate the bank they can help with this kind of problem, use to be a time where the customer had no resources but today Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is in force and call the Better Business Bureau, and find out the people who regulate the banks, this is ridiculous.

I applied for cards through them, approved for Ashley furniture and rooms to go, it declined credit for tj max and at home stores, Im in the last stage of closing and from july 4, 2019 my score was 757 after reporting july 7th approval for Ashley furniture and rooms to go it dropped 216 points without my knowledge, and on top of that I was advised the need to verify my social security how backwards is that and they stated the account cannot be used for 30 days I contacted Experian and Transunion to dispute the hard inquires and have them removed and rescore because I’m closing on a home and the advised me that they only formulate the score that I should contact synchrony bank to have the inquires removed , that company stated they couldn’t give me information why I’m blocked to use a card and not able to use it since they have already horribly killed my credit for cards I’m not able to use what’s the purpose and I need these hard inquiries removed immediately.

I agree with everything people have said about how horrible this company is except for blaming “stupid foreign employees”. The bank’s horrible policies and procedures about how their employees are supposed to treat people who call the so-called “customer service” numbers are not the employees faults – they have scripts they have to follow, they are way underpaid, if they don’t follow the scripts they are fired, and they are completely limited in what they are even able to do for people. Of course that doesn’t excuse rudeness and I’m definitely not defending that, but you get rude people everywhere and I just cringe when people blame everything on the workers because they’re “foreign”, etc. Their jobs are sh***y and they are treated like crap by both their bosses and the people who call in. I paid a full amt to lowes to pay off 2 accounts coming due and this was not done and I am still showing I owe these coming off but they are paid so how am I to pay on my acccount and not pay on 2 accounts paid off. I went thru this with this bank before with a bill at a furniture store that I had returned the items but it took 3 months to correct the problem and now here I am again with the same thing. If you sen a chec for a certain amt and 2 accounts coming due total that amount would you have enough common sense to see that they total the amount of the check and apply it correctly. In July of 2018 after applying for a PayPal cash back Master Card I received the Cards with a 6,000 dollar credit line. I applied using truettenterprises@ yahoo.com.
During the applying time I also set up a pay pal account along with a E-Bay account. I had to to use a different email address– truettenterprises@ gmail.com— because my spouse was using truettenterprises@ yahoo.com for pay pal and e-bay. When I received c.c. ending 8558
I was unable to link the cc to pay pal to use for my default payment. I was told by a

I closed account ending 8558 and reapply using the gmail address. I received a letter from Synchrony Bank that they were unable to to approve at this time.
According to the Bank and I quote Letter dated 08/19/2018 “In reaching this decision,
your application was reviewed and denied for the following reason ” PREVIOUS APPLICATION APPROVED.
The customer service was to make a note for the reason of closing the account ending 8558. So when you said that you reviewed the application that was a false statement
I thought that I would reapply thinking that it was a mistake. I again received notice that application was denied again and a letter would be sent to explain after REVIEWING the reason.
You should REVIEW what happened and issue a new cc that would allow me to link to my pay pal and e-bay account using truettenterprises@gmail.com.
I wait to hear from you concerning this mistake made by one of your customer serviced and issue a new cc. If any of the above, damages my credit standing you will be served with the proper paper in small claims court or a higher court if the damage to my credit is more than $10,000.00 I am CFO for 2 corps and my personal credit score is over 800 and I have over 1,250,000.00 in credit lines for the 2 corps i am CFO for. I have closed my account after call from you. Your bank allowed someone to get a new card, new address, new maiden name and allowed them to spend $. I have s/w 10 reps and so confusing. How was this allowed? I cannot s/w a rep since I don’t have the false address and maiden name. That is not right. I take care of all of my household finances. I called as I noticed a late payment on our invoice. With my call I asked why my check was cashed on 12/28/2017 and was assessed a late fee on 1/12/2018. That is 15 days after our check was already cashed. Our due date is the tenth of every month. The customer service rep was very rude and would not tell me why. I asked to speak to a manager regarding this and Hugh 7071802 said he couldn’t get me the information due to the fact I was not the card holder. I refuse to go into detail as to why my wife is not available as its none of your business. I asked for a manager above him and I was advised it would take 72 hours to have a manager call me back! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Three days to resolve something as simple as this: I had one question, WHY was I charged a late fee 15 days after your bank cashed our check. Simple, right, apparently not. Also, you voice phone prompts are worthless and are not user friendly. It seems as if your defrauding your customers by adding fees that are not necessary. Are you related to Wells Fargo? Sounds like it.

I am extremely upset with this financial bank; I have several accounts with them for years now and none of my accounts has ever been late or pass due; I recently went to use my accounts to shop for CHRISTMAS only to find out they had decided to CLOSE several of my paid off accounts and then decrease the limits on the other three account that had very low balance on them. They are pursuing me for a balance that my ex husband ran up after the divorce and I have sent divorce papers to them w/ the judges signature on 3 occasions and they still pursue me and have ruined my credit. They tell me that my signature from the late 90’s trumps the judges signed orders. I have no idea where they got a law degree from but that is incorrect.

I had great credit never missed a payment! I had several credit cards which are now all gone because of Synchrony Financial! A representative “Human error” entered the wrong code on my account which listed me as dead! As a result all my credit cards have been cancelled! My credit is distroyed! I called Synchrony Bank 6 times to ask them to correct this to no avail! I am getting calls from collection gencies asking for the representaive of my estate! I have been ruined! I would stress that YOU IMMEDIATELY contact the consumer fraud division of your state attorney generals office and also the agency governing the FAIR CREDIT REPORTING ACT and file complaints against synchrony financial. Because of what you have described, this bank is now SERIOUSLY indebted to you for monetary damages that could amount to a sum off the charts. Im very well versed in the law and I doubt there is an attorney who would NOT be willing to file a civil suit on your behalf against synchrony.

Yes back on June of 2016 I applied for a loan through this bank for a transmission to get fixed at the time we set up the loan I notified Synchrony Bank that I do not get into sibility check until the 3rd of every month I will not be able to mail out my payment until then since then it showed that I have been late quite a few times which I have never been late I have called over numerous times the last 12 months reporting that I do not get my check until the 3rd of every month I paid off the balance within 12 months like I was supposed to I get a statement showing that it was late receiving to you by the 3rd so they packed on 600 some dollars in interest charges I’m sorry I will not pay this Eiffel build my obligation by contacting Synchrony Bank over several appointments stating why the payments received when they did I have proof of every payment on time I would like to know why this was done I’m on disability and I have no other way of paying this $647 I did what I was requested paid my bill on time every month before the 12-month promotional. My last 4 transactions with Synchrony Bank have not been completed properly. I have had to call repeatedly to get each corrected. On withdrawals, you have failed to deliver on time. On renewals, you failed to credit my account at the agreed to interest rate. Your advertised rate is competitive but you don’t pay what you say you do. Bottom line, I feel you are defrauding the public or simply conduct transactions so sloppily that things are never corrected and the customer takes the hit. I don’t write to the CEO anymore because all her staff does is argue. The old GE Capital is still at work here. I would steer clear, if you are thinking of using them. They are worse than the tv cable company.

I have a Sams Club Puerto Rico Plus Master Card. I have been a loyal member and do my payments on time. I called since 9 of July 2017 in regards credit for $376.20. Mr Max and Mr Jossie Martinez Manager of the Customer service and they had the $376.20 as an ajustment in the computer. Today I spoke to Kidsy and Marta the Supervisor. They supposed to see the adjustment but they did not see it.
The treatment of the employee in Spanish specialty from the supervisors was terrible and did not help. I asked Marta for the telephone of the Corporate Offices but she said did not have it. And she was going to sent a report to the Customer Service Department. Until now, I have not any situation With Syncronic Bank and Master Card.

I applied for credit and was approved
when I tried to use the credit i was blocked several times
taken through a series of identification questions in which i passed but
only to be blocked again and called by some representative
that i can’t understand.
after this i was placed on a perm bock until i sent in doXXXXents
i sent them several doXXXXents they asked for twive next day delivery
and five times by fax
each time was told either they didn’t receive it or it was unable to
be seen. even though i went to a professional doXXXXent center to fax them
photo copies, even though twice it was mailed with delivery confirmation
after months of this game i could not use the credit for weight loss
procedure to keep my job, I told them several times they were costing my
job. now it’s too late i cold not have the procedure and i was let go.

I want to file the complaint about your employer who do the fraud investigation on my case. I think he or she have a brainless. I told them that somebody use my identity to apply conns credit card through synchrony bank with out my authority. I am living in Houston,tx but they apply in Florida and purchase item in Beaumont,tx. How the hell they investigated that gave out the solution that I applied that card and used that card. You know what I never shop at conns since your product so expensive. And I don’t know I already report the day after the problem happen. And then today 4/25/2017 I talked to the lady name Laurel. I keep tell her I am the victim of the case and she say she can not help and not reverse the solution of what they analyzed.

I have enrolled in the Customer Assistance Program for my TJX Marx Credit Card because I am out of work and fell through hardship. When I called customer service today about an ongoung problem where the December 24, 2015 written agreementis not hpnor for minimum monthly payment is greater than $20. Instead they are saying its forty which is not what the legally written contact states as Dan ID 5403 stated himself. My credit report is affected by this and I want this fix iimmediately. I am filing a corporate complaint because all I ask to be treated with respect. I do not insult anyone intelligence. You have to honor a written agreement. I should not have any past due amounts or a $239.00 minimum due on my bill when I am on Customer Assistance Program. I want this resolved immediately because its illegal to go against a written agreement.

I sent money for one account and they credited the wrong account. I cannot find anyone to solve the problem.
My credit rating is excellent and I am trying to solve the problem. But the dummies don’t know what they are doing. They transferred the same money over and over and it still is not right. I will NEVER open a credit card with this company. I found out Lowe’s was the same credit company. I closed that account in a hurry. I wish they
had good people doing their work but evidently they must get uneducated individuals to do the work.

I paid off my whole balance 1500.00 to my lumber liquidators card. When I went 4 days later to use it to finish my floors, the card was declined!!! These money came out of my bank and synchrony said they received my payment. But because I paid more than 500.00 off, the card was placed on a 9 day hold. That’s ridiculous. I paid it off. I should be able to use it immediately! Nowhere in the credit card disclosure does it mention a hold. Customer service was horrible. So now my project is on
hold and my money is gone.

I am a Belk Card Customer. I have not missed a payment in over four years, never been late and twice they have reduced my credit. I did have a prolonged job loss five years ago, but never missed a Belk Card payment. Now, twice, they have reduced my credit limit so I cannot purchase anything.
In order to maintain the Belk Store relationship that I have had since 1981, I have purposely sacrificed to keep this account current. This seems to not be considered by the folks making a decision. I am conteplating my next move. Contacting Belk Stores has not proved to be helpful.

My husband and I have several credit cards were as Synchrony Financial/Bank represent. We recently fell on hard times due to his job of 35 years decreased everyone’s hours from 40 to 30. And previously before eliminated all 401k, life insurance, and medical insurance. Now days you are required to have health insurance and because I’m disabled and my husband has diabetes, high blood pressure and many other illness, cost of premium sores to over 600.00 per month. Well to get to it, we contacted our mortgage company and other main creditors to work on a payment plan, which they awesomely did. We maintained paying our credit cards on time to try and pay off. Well each time we paid Synchrony lowered our limit down to what we owed. Therefore that alone impacted our credit score so much our debt to ratio is high. Experian explained that synchrony should not have done that because the impact of going from a credit limit of 1,500 for example and our balance was 300.00 to a credit limit of 300.00 hurt us more. You may have been trying to protect your asset but you ruined us! He have paid that one off, with not additional charges and now you lowered it to 100.00. All because you looked at our credit report and saw we were late on our mortgage and car, which we made future arrangements. No one called nor sent a letter to see what was going on, because we never missed a payment with you!! I have sense contacted an attorney and the BBB are in the process of filing a complaint. Our mortgage insurance and car insurance has been cancelled due to the credit score we now have based on your own insecurities. Thanks a lot Synchrony, we are good people just fell on hard times because of a job and disabilities. Also in process of filing a discrimination law suit. I have contacted our local news station, perhaps others have been treated the same and it’s time to stand up and not let these big company’s step over us. Besides we are the very ones that make you money!!

Recently I hit a hardship and my gross income changed dramatically. I recently made arrangements on my samsclub/synchrony bank back in march of 2017 to get my account back on track. I paid what was agree. The sales rep did not what he offer to help me out. Now my account is going back in the negative because of this miscommunication. These 2 days I have to 7 different representatives and a total if 2 hours on the phone. Every time I ask to speak to a superior im told there no one. Both supervisor refuse to transfer me or even give names of there supervisor or district managers information. Im so upset eith the treatment Ive bern giving. They never took in consecration I have 2 others account with them. Once I pay my balances off with account. I will never do business with synchrony bank again. The customer service sucks. It’s sad the company cant depend.on the employees.

It is a great displeasure to be harassed by numerous calls every day from your automated service requesting to speak to a George LaBold. That is the best I can interpret the recorded voice. There is no way to speak to a person and the calls originate from 877-317-5659. The call back number is 877-379-4933 and again you cannot get a human being. I have made numerous calls to various numbers which are all stating that the conversation is being recorded. After explaining my problem to an agent, mostly overseas and undistinguishable, you get transferred to someone else overseas who has no comprehension of what I am saying. I have been disconnected from two managers in Ohio today. They had my number but did not call back. I was left to start all over again and again. My accounts are three CD’s and total over three quarters of a million dollars. My problem does not concern any of my accounts but there is something wrong with your security if another customer, in this case a delinquent one, is associated in any way with me. I demand that this be addressed an I am contacted before I take this to a regulatory agency. I have two phone numbers on record with you and do not know which one is being called as my 212-473-XXXXX number forwards to my 954-974-/XXXXx number on which I am receiving these calls. Please contact me as soon as possible as I am looking forward to getting this problem alleviated.

I have been shocked to read of all the complaints from people that are affiliated with Synchrony Bank. I myself in the same position. My account was closed due to error on Synchrony Bank but I was faulted for it. Chase bank provided all the information they needed on this matter. I believe Synchrony Bank has some serious issues in their banking practice. Their customer service representatives are not very well trained their managers are also not trained they are also not on the same page. Never missed a payment but yet it was closed due to poor investigation on Synchrony Bank.
