StubHub was founded in 2000 in San Francisco, California. Founders Eric Baker and Jeff Fluhr were Stanford graduates who wondered why there wasn’t a marketplace to sell tickets you didn’t want.

StubHub is an American ticket exchange and resale company. It provides services for buyers and sellers of tickets for sports, concerts, theater, and other live entertainment events. It has grown from the largest secondary-market ticket marketplace in the United States into the world’s largest ticket marketplace.

In November 2019, Viagogo acquired StubHub for $4.05 billion.

While consumers are big on StubHub, the company has attracted considerable criticism from sports executives. Tim Leiweke, former CEO of AEG has stated that “many sports executives hate StubHub because the company doesn’t invest in the product on the court”

During the World Series games in 2021, some StubHub ticket holders were selling their standing-room-only tickets for $1,000.

In September 2021, StubHub was forced to refund more than $3 million in tickets sales to customers in Colorado after many venues closed due to Covid. The company originally declined to refund ticket holders but the attorney general reached a settlement with the company.

StubHub maintains a corporate office in San Francisco, California.

I purchased what I thought were 4 tickets to a nickelback show in bristow va. My daughter came all the way in from Ohio to attend the show with myself, my other daughter and a friend. Once traveling hours away to the show and waiting in a line with what I thought were my tickets just to be told they were not tickets at all. So basically wasting over 200 $ for tickets to a show that we didn’t even get to see. I will never use stub hub again just to be robbed. Nor would I ever suggest for anyone to use stub hub just to get robbed. Thanks stub hub for scamming me and stealing my hard earned money and for selling me a bunch of BS . More then disappointed. I would suggest to anyone buying from stub hub to be aware and don’t waste your money or your time.

    Good evening,
Wanted to share a negative experience I experienced over the weekend while attending a yankee game. I purchased the tickets through StubHub for my sons birthday who is a big yankee fan. When we arrived to the stadium our seats were taken after 3 yankee offials showed up they determined the season ticket owner had priority. In addition to being embarrassed my son was very disappointed. Not only did I waste a day but also paid for parking for no reason this is no way to do business 502978293 order number
