I had also very bad experience with Star Furniture. On 10/10- we bought Dining Set from Cypress location. We were told that we will get 12 months interest free promotion but when we checked our bill it shows entire amount is going to be due within a month. Both Sales Person and Finance person never informed us about this and they all lied to us. Entire team has been selling products to the customers by giving false commitments. One of the other sales person was also v rude. His name is Mark and not at all have manners to talk to the customers.
I suggest no one should ever buy furniture from this crappy store.. PLZ SAVE YOUR MONEY and SPEND somewhere ELSE..

We purchased a night stand on the internet and when we put it in our bedroom we realized it didn’t go with the other furniture. We have been talking with several people including the corporate customer service manager. At first the said there are no returns, then they said 15% restocking fee. We were also told that there rules changed on returns 2 years ago. Now we are trying to talk or email the CEO, because the corp cust serv mgr wouldn’t give us the CEO’s telephone.

We are so disappointed in Star Furniture and frustrated that today’s Star Furniture is not the company we have enjoyed going to for all of our furniture needs for 20 years. We purchased a leather living room sofa and recliner (along with several other pieces for our game room) in June 2016. As we are moving to a new home, we wanted a second recliner to match what we had. We were able to purchase the same chair and it was delivered 7/19/19. We called right away as the reclining mechanism was not working properly. They came to adjust the chair on 8/1. It still wasn’t right so the repairman came back on 8/22 and said parts would be ordered since the entire mechanism needed to be replaced. We called 10 weeks later and they said it would be another couple of weeks. We finally heard the parts are here and they made an appointment to come on 11/8 to make the repair. On 11/7, we received a call that they couldn’t repair the chair onsite but would have to pick up the chair and aren’t sure how long they will keep it, probably 7-10 days. But they aren’t sure when they will pick it up. We have to wait around Saturday 11/9, and they should call us on Friday to confirm. Our concern is that we are going to be without a working recliner for about 4 months and don’t know when the chair will be returned to us or if it will ever be in good working condition. We haven’t had any problems at all with the exact chair we purchased 3 years ago and this new chair has never felt or operated the same as the one we already have even though it is the same item # and manufacturer. We know things happen but we have never met with the total lack of consideration or customer service that we have received during this period. The chair is obviously sub par and should be replaced with a new one. We have purchased many rooms of furniture over the years from Star and have always been treated with respect and quality products. It is really a shame that this doesn’t seem to be the case at your company any longer. We would welcome communication from someone that can help us with this situation.

So disappointed in Star Furniture. I was interested in purchased an item online that evidently is not available in stores. Have made several requests for more info on the item such as more details specs and whether or not it is assembled. At 3 attempts and absolutely no response. Guess Star has all the business it needs.

Well the truck broke down and did not deliver my bed and now I’m stuck sleeping on the ground, I called several times trying to get an update today and now I’m being told they can’t deliver till Sunday! I asked to speak with a manager in customer care and was told they will get back to me within 24hrs! What kind of service is This! Spend over 5k and have to sleep on the floor for four Nights..

Have had a leather sofa and love seat a little over 1 month. Love seat was replaced once. Reps refuse to replace couch which was delivered looking like it was used. Cup holder inserts won’t come out unless you use a pair of needle-nose pliers to get them out. Back of the couch is uneven and loose and Foot rest on recliner is not straight (also looks worn). Customer Service said they will order new cup holders but the representative that came out said the cup holders could NOT be replaced. Said the couch would have to be replaced. Don’t know that I want someone trying to hear out the cup holders to put new ones in anyway. Will they replace the couch if they make a bigger mess of the couch than it already is ???? Not real happy at this point… 281-252-XXXX

I purchased a leather sofa and two chairs in July 2018. I am still awaiting the delivery of chair legs that were damaged in delivery of the furniture. All attempts to settle this locally and working with customer service in Houston have proved to be unsuccessful. The San Antonio store manager was fantastic but the folks in your customer service department in Houston have been less than professional or helpful and could use some remedial training on dealing with the public. I think I have been more than patient waiting over 7 months for the replacement legs. Please contact me soonest at 571-214-XXXX or email provided so that we can find a mutually agreeable solution to this outstanding issue. Thanks for your assistance with this matter.

    Respectfully

I bought leather simon leather sofa’s and loveseat total of my purchase was $6,033.63. Motor went out on my motion loveseat.I had to order part for loveseat took over six months to receive part. I was told to call and let them know when part was received and someone would come and install motor at no charge.I called and was told there is a charge of $75.00. I am very upset, also there is discoloration on one of the sofa’s and I was told warranty expired and the 5 year warranty I purchased would not cover my sofa. I will never buy furniture at Star furniture again and I will make sure I get the word out bad Star Furniture service is. They tell you all lies at time of purchase and sale you warranty that is invalid when you want to use it.
