I cannot begin to express the horrific experience I had with the leasing person at Miami International Mall ( Wendy Chao); she is not only arrogant, rude, and does not allow you to complete your questions before she interrupts; she also lacks tact, approach, and most of all is NOT customer centric. She should not be in any capacity that deals with professionals, potential prospects and/or in a supervisory role. This all transpired in reaching out to inquire about retail space opportunities within the mall – I will share this experience and her name with as many people as I can so that she learns the value of dealing with people.
I am well connected with media publications and have great relationships with Bal Harbor and the Turnberry Co whom I will share this experience with so they DO NOT advise anyone wishing to do business with Miami International Mall. The general manager should expect to hear from Simon corporate office and/or from David Simon regarding this terrible experience.

Hello! After purchasing $500 shoes at Jimmy Choo and a $300 prom dress at Touché, we sat down for a quick bite to eat at Shake Shack since all other restaurants were closing. Two rats leisurely dined at the table next to us. We ran horrified that such a supposedly high end mall would possess such pests which were very comfortable dining with people around in full lighting! We told Shake Shack personnel…they didn’t care. We told the janitor…he laughed and said ‘they live here we call them Ben and jerry. We told the concierge and she expressed regret then logged the concern in her book and left for the night. I will never return to the King of Prussia mall because of this. I will go out of my way to avoid this kind of experience again. I will also let all of my coworkers know and alert the Simon Mall CEO to this atrocious experience.

The mall Manager at the Duluth MN Miller-Hill Mall is a complete tyrant to the housekeeping staff and the maintenance staff. She yells at the staff in public and makes demands of the staff with complete disregard of going through the staffs manager.. She ignores the housekeeping staffs manager while the manager is standing in front of her telling the workers what to do, She has been reported before to your cor prate office on her treatment of the staff and the housekeeping manager only to have the housekeeping manager suffer repercussions from her for someone turning her in. The mall managers tells everyone ” I dont give a sh*t just do it”. Now the mall managers husband has opened a bar restaurant in the mall and is demanding the housekeeping staff go by and make sure the entrance is cleaned every hour. Now do I see a conflict of interest here with this request when the same request has not been made of the other stores in the mall? Also rumor has it that her husband is paying a very low rate per square foot as compared to other mall tents. I do knot know what type of business environment Simon promotes but if this is you model I think you need to make some changes. Katie needs to be removed from this position before the mall is run into the ground from her tyrant ways and before she runs the housekeeping staff off along with business that are leaving the mall because of her. I would also suggest that a change be made before legal action is brought on to her or Simon Properties for promoting a hostile work environment since Simon has been previously informed of the mall managers actions and have not done a thing to correct the matter. I look forward to your response.

Had very negative holiday shopping experience at your Santa Rosa Plaza in California. After spending a lot of money buying gifts at shops in your mall we were faced with a $8 parking fee in what was historically a free mall parking lot. It was offensive to be hit with an unrealistic parking fee, especially at holiday time. A lot of families are struggling at this time of year and we are a semi rural area with a lot of poverty and large immigrant population. You need to reconsider your parking fees. I plan to shop elsewhere in the future.

Dear Simon Properties:
I live at The Residences at Coconut Point in Estero, Florida. I walk a dog several times a day, including evening hours. There are several lights that are out and need replacing. They have been out for months. It is dangerous for these lights to be out. Last spring I was told you were having problems getting the bulbs. This spring I was told you purposely leave some of the lights out. Is this to save money? Do you consider the safety of the residents when you make such a decision?
If I were a prospective tenant looking at Coconut Point, I would see all these burned out lights as a sign this mall is not profitable. Do the right thing. Replace the lights. Turn ALL of the lights on. While you’re at it, paint your buildings. Repair the stucco. Seal coat and rest ripe the parking lots. Make the mall the beautiful place it once was! Your inattention to this mall is disgraceful!

Good afternoon,
My name is Jose Munguia. I am a veteran served 5 years in the Marine Corps w/ 2 tours of Iraq. I am currently a tenant at the shops of Montebello. We operate in the food service, specializing in Authentic Mexican Food. I am writing this letter to see if you can help a military service member w/ issues involving our lease.
I have made various attempts w/ Mall Management, unfortunately they do not provide the attention or extra effort needed to help a Simon tenant. I have expressed the non-visibility of our space. I have requested possibly purchasing “Ad Stands” & like always asked for a discount for Veterans, which would pay great tribute to your support:
SIMON MALLS SUPPORT VETERAN OWNED BUSINESS. But I was told there’s no discounts for Veterans. If you have the time to help a veteran trying to start a business in your mall, send me any help you can provide, thank you.
