I have a complain regarding the Pick n Pull Auto Dismantling Center located in Merced, CA. I wanted to let your corporate office know that the current management team in that facility has not been treating their employees fairly, especially in the Production Department. In recent events, certain employees had experienced heat stroke due to extreme heat and the manager would raise their tone if the employee tries to take a 5 min break when it gets too hot or unbearable. And they would force them to keep working without taking a break regardless of the extreme heat. Some of the employees have been coming home with extreme fatigue and sometimes in pain due to being overworked. Managers are supposed to schedule rotation amongst the employees in production in order for everyone to be able to do equal job duties, but it almost never happen. Majority of the time, some employees are stuck doing the same duty especially the harder ones for weeks or months at a time, while others get to do the easier task. Nobody is being trained properly and nobody is receiving any opportunity to advance. Management has also neglected their employees in regards to doing any type of performance reviews and has not given employees their much deserving pay raise or promotion even after working there for almost 2 years. Several former employees have resigned due to lack or poor management. There is favoritism amongst the managers and some employees especially in the production department. Plus some employees and management would say or do inappropriate things inside a workplace. Sometimes will make sexual derogatory remarks to either other males or females and would joke around about it and management does not do anything about it. Sometime they are even in on it which makes this facility very unprofessional. All I can say is, some employees from the production department specifically that have not been getting an equal treatment in comparison to some other people. Management forces them to do more work regardless of extreme conditions compared to some other employees of the same position who they let them slack of work and have not done the same numbers as others who have. Some production employees are just getting treated very poorly that is why several former employees have resigned due to poor management, no pay raise, not being treated fairly. I am not sure how many times your corporate office have visited this location or even bother asking employees one by one, how they are being treated at this facility? Or if managers are doing their job? But I suggest you look into it before more and more employees resign or might get reported to the Department of Labor.
