The location you chose for the Tulsa store is one of the most dreaded spots in Tulsa , The Woodland Hills Mall at 71st and Memorial area is the worst traffic congested area in Tulsa, it is ranked number one by the DOT and everybody avoids it like the plague if they can, that area saw its better days a decade ago. Anything south of 101st Street on Memorial is easily accessible. Everything along Highway 75 is accessible, that is where the big name stores are starting to relocate. And right in between both those areas is another new Fantastic accessible development going up at the Arkansas River at Jenks , the Jenks development right there at the river would definitely be your number one location. Your Proposed new store at 71st and Memorial will only do half the business it would if it were located in the areas I described, Somebody at your company didn’t do their homework. I know what I’m talking about, 40 years ago my husband and I picked two locations in Wichita Kansas and built strip malls on them and to this day they are the number one and number three locations in the city of Wichita. We have lived in the Tulsa area now for 32 years. By the way your store at Towne East In Wichita is a fantastic location, It is just several blocks from the first strip mall we built which is the number three best location in Wichita.

Your store in Springfield, Illinois is very nice and has great customer service. I live in St.Louis and wish that you had a store in the St.Louis area, your store are much nicer and more friendly than the stores of Bass Pro, Cabelas, and Academy.

Dear Sheels,
My name is Chennell Berg and I am seeking sponsorship. I love Sheels and believe that the values of your company align with mine, and that is why I am reaching out to you.
Growing up on a ranch in Montana, I learned the value of hard work, whether it was moving cattle, mending fences, or harvesting crops. I realized that it is perseverance that defines success. Early in life, I realized that I am the type of person who embraces competition. I started competing in rodeo at the age of ten. In high school, I held the position of Wrangler All-Star team captain and was the Director of Girls Breakaway Roping for the state. In my time at Montana State University, I qualified for College National Finals Rodeo and competed on our college rodeo team. Of course I was wearing Wrangler!
In 2008, I sustained an injury in a team roping event in which I lost my dominant thumb. This hardship became an opportunity for me to realize new values in overcoming challenges, both physically and mentally. I continued to compete in roping and pursued my degree in accounting. Later, I spent time working for one of the top four accounting firms in New York City. Eventually, I returned to my home state of Montana and opened an accounting business in my small town.
Realizing the roll that fitness had played in my life, I wanted to make another contribution to my community. Our town did not have a gym or spa or any other fitness oriented business where people could pursue wellness. In 2021, I built and opened Stone Temple Fitness & Spa in White Sulphur Springs. I am proud to say that we are succeeding in our goals and my dream has become a reality.
It was in 2022 that I began competing in Spartan races and qualified for the Obstacle Course Racing World Championship in which seventy different countries were represented. In that event, I placed in the top fifteen percent in my age group, which spurred on my commitment to race. My 2023 goals are to continue to compete and improve my performance. I am interested in participating in six to eight Spartan races and the Obstacle Course Racing World Championship, which will be held in California.
To accomplish this, I am seeking financial sponsorship to assist with travel and registration costs. In return, I am happy to market your company’s products at Stone Temple Fitness & Spa, through social media, and with merchandise/gear at the upcoming races.
I believe Sheels has been defined by its hard work, perseverance, healthy competitive spirit, a willingness to face challenges, and a love for community. These are the values that define me and why I think this would be an excellent fit for sponsorship.
I appreciate your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Chennell Berg

I went to the Scheels at Jordan Creek in West Des Moines, Iowa today. It is my birthday, and my partner was going to buy me some nice binoculars. No clerks were wearing masks, and few customers were. We were wearing face coverings. It was very busy and hard to distance, especially when a clerk came to help me with the binoculars. I asked if he could put on a mask, and he said no. I was uncomfortable with the situation, so we left. I called a manager, who said he couldn’t force his employees to wear masks. That is nonsense, of course. Employers can require employees wear face coverings, and every other business I have gone to in the Des Moines area in recent weeks has had employees wearing masks. A business can even require customers to wear masks if they wish.
Maybe this is not important to most of your customers, but I wanted you to know it was important to me. I won’t be shopping there anymore, as I don’t feel that store is concerned with keeping the community safe.

I believe Scheels is one of the best sporting goods stores.I believe Indianapolis is the best market for any good retailer.I’ve lived in Indianapolis and was born in Indianapolis .I have lived here for 45 years. The people here love to shop ask Walmart. The people of Indianapolis would love to have a Scheels here because you guys do it better.I think your design is good but to grab attention a wild west outdoors designed store would grab attention.I suggest designing your stores something like wall drug store of South Dakota.High tech arcades,Manmade mountain like bass pro shops,a dinosaur head growling and moving, boot shop, western wear shop,Mechanical cowboys singing, gift shops added with all your outdoor stuff with grocery store ,laundry mat, dentist and hospital clinic, convenience store,a in store movie theater ,and movies of Star Wars,Indiana Jones,Jurassic Park,Super Man,and Marvel Comics.A Partnership with Disney would be great.A giant Disney gift shop with Disney in door rides like a mini amusement park indoors. Please add a plaza like indoor McDonalds,Hardee’s,Dairy Queen,Big Boys,Texas Road House, taco bell,Shoneys, and china buffet. Please add 500 gift shops small.

I went to return 2 coats that I purchased from Scheel’s. I couldn’t find my receipt but Scheels policy states you just need a valid state ID to return something without a receipt. The people at the customer service desk asked a million questions insinuating I was doing something wrong or trying to get over on Scheels. I simply didn’t have my receipt. It’s very difficult to keep every receipt for everything I ever buy in my life. But they kept asking when I bought it where I bought it how I bought etc. Then they went into the back room for 15 mins. Thy came back out and said they couldn’t return the one coat because it had the wrong tag on it and said they haven’t ever sold the item the tag was for. Well I’m sorry I purchased that coat with that tag on it so if it was mistagged by the store or what, that’s not my problem. I didn’t print a tag up and stick it on the coat just to return the coat for store credit. Which is what they were insinuating when they were telling me all of this. Then they said the other coat was only worth $53. Well that is incorrect as well. The coat was very expensive at $399. The tag when I handed it to the employee at the desk said $399 for the price, which was discounted from the regular price of $499. When they brought the coat back out to me they had placed a different tag on it and said that the coat I paid $399 + tax was now only worth $53. I couldn’t believe my eyes and ears!!! The employees retagged my coat when they had it in the back room and tried telling me that I was crazy that the coat had that tag on it the entire time they never saw a $399 tag. I was so frustrated after arguing with them I left my brother to deal with the dishonest employees and went out to the car. Shortly after I got into the car my brother came out holding a bag with the coat they said was never sold at that store and had the wrong tag on it. Then he had a gift card for $53.52 for the $399 coat the employees had switched the tags on in the back room. I was furious that they actually only gave him $53.52 for the coat I paid $399 for! I asked my brother what the heck he was doing with that gift card with only $53.52 on it. He said that the employees refused to give the coat back to him and would only give him the gift card for returning the coat. I’m writing this to tell everyone I can reach to tell them to please not shop at Scheels EVER!!! Scheels employees are rude, dishonest, insulting, and flat out liars!!!! The manager Joyce at the Sandy, Utah store was the manager I got involved to handle my problem. She was of no help and was on the side of her terrible mannered employees. I guess I can’t expect anything different from a store who’s manager is rude, insulting, dishonest, and flat out lies straight to Customer’s faces when handling customer complaints. I will never ever shop at Scheels as long as I live! Which really sucks because I used to love Scheels. I used to tell everyone how great they were and was constantly promoting and referring new customers to shop at Scheels because they were so awesome. Now I will tell everyone the exact opposite of all that. I will tell everyone who will listen about my horrible experience I had at Scheels and tell them to shop any place other than Scheels if they don’t want to be treated with disrespect and lied to and stolen from and treated like they are idiots to believe that their $400 coat they were trying to return was really a $53 coat the entire time and that the totally different tag that they have never seen before until now was on the coat all along and that they were then ones who were trying to get over on Scheels and so treated like a criminal low life. Please I beg you all to go anywhere else to shop. Let’s not continue to support stores like Scheels who practice shady dishonest business practices and lie and steal from their customers. By shopping elsewhere will hopefully force Scheels to change their ways and become the store they used to be so long ago.

Dear Corporate Officers;
Military veterans and I shop at Scheels many times. I discovered that Scheels does not advertise or grant military discounts.
There are military service men and women in the greater Kansas City metro area who frequently shop and enjoy visiting Scheels. All of us active-duty and retired military veterans have a simple question: “Do you offer a military discount?”
Sincerely,
Greg D. Hunt
