Visited the Hoffman Estates, IL Rookies twice within a one-week period. …each time there were no clean popcorn bowls. On the first visit ,the waitress went and got a salad bowl or other container from the kitchen for popcorn. On the subsequent visit, no offer of popcorn, or bowls; since none were clean. I was told the dishwasher had come in late, due to it being Father’s Day. Dishwasher hadn’t come in til around 5 pm. What about earlier in the day? No dishes washed the entire day? Then when our dollar burgers came, my husband’s hamburger bun had a hair on it. I wanted to send the entire plate back, but he just wiped it off with a napkin. I told the waitress about it and she took off the $1.00 for the burger…ok, thanks but that’s all you’re going to do? When I told the manager of this, he said he knew about it and told the waitress to comp the $1.00 burger. I mentioned that this was the 2nd time we were here with no clean popcorn bowls, and mentioned to him, that there’s hardly anyone in the restaurant so why weren’t there clean bowls, he then puts his hands up to my face and gives me the “time out” signal….yes, we’re in a sports bar, however do not give me a hand signal for a “time out”. How rude and disrespectful that was. We will not be dining at this rookies restaurant any more….

The Rookies Sports Bar in Hoffman Estates has THE RUDEST manager Nick Mennennos. We had a party of 4 aduluts and 1 child. We went for the $1.00 burger special for June. All we wanted was a printed out reciept, showing what we paid and the change due. The manager was very indignant and asked my boyfriend’ ” is this what you wanted BOSS?” Our friend, stated “this will mever happen again and we won’t come back!” The manager yelled out loud and in front of the entire Sports Bar, “Get out of my restaurant, hurry up get out of here!” This was all done infront of the entire bar.
Not to mention, our waitress Veronica handed my boyfriend the incorrect change. He was to get back $10.34. She handed him only $10. When my boyfriend questioned her about the .34 cents, she atated ” we don’t carry any change and people don’t tip us, but if you want I’ll get it from the bar.”
I believe we were treated very poorly and with total disrespect.
