Hoss’s Steak and Sea House was founded in 1983 in DuBois, Pennsylvania, by Willard Campbell. Campbell still serves as CEO. The company operates an American style restaurant chain in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

The company is a well-known icon in the community and has been voted “Best Place to Work in Pennsylvania” by several organizations, for several consecutive years. Currently, there are 36 locations in two states. Each location is decorated with old newspapers from local publishing companies, old photos of each town, and antique objects of art.

Perkins Restaurant Corporate Office

Perkins Restaurant was founded in 1958 by brothers Matt and Ivan Perkins in Cincinnati, Ohio. Originally named Perkins Pancake House, the company began franchising in the early 1960’s. The company purchased another chain of cafe’s, Smitty’s, and renamed themselves, Perkins Cake and Steak. In 1987, the company renamed itself Perkins Family Restaurants.

Today, Perkins also owns Marie Callender’s restaurants. There are currently about 400 Perkins restaurants in 33 states, as well as 5 Canadian providences and 68 Marie Callender’s restaurants in 6 states. In 2005, the company had annual revenue of $352.3 million, as well as 25,000 full time employees. The company has headquarters in Memphis, Tennessee.

The company filed for bankruptcy in 2011 and was acquired by the private investment firm  Wayzata Investment Partners. The company has closed 65 locations, including all restaurants in Western New York, and laid off approximately 2,500 employees.

El Rancho Grande Mexican Restaurant was founded in Dayton, Ohio, in 2010. The company operates a chain of casual Mexican style restaurants in the greater Dayton area.

The company currently has 13 locations, with a new one opening in late March of 2017 at a former Applebee’s location on Dorothy Lane. The company serves traditional Mexican food, including burritos, tacos, carne asada plates, Mexican style rice, beans, and more. All items and sauces are made by hand each day, including tortillas.

El Rancho Grande Mexican Restaurant has numerous positive reviews online, with most websites, such as Yelp and Zomato, showing a solid 4 out of 5 star ratings. In August 2016, the company opened a new 6,400-square-foot location in West Chester Township.

In March 2019, the President of the company won the prestigious Restauranteur of the Year award from the Ohio Restaurant Association. 

In January 2023, the company opened a new location in Englewood, Ohio.

Lightfoot Restaurant was founded in 1999 by sisters Ingrid Gustavson and Carrie Gustavson Whitmer in Leesburg, Virginia. The company operates an upscale restaurant in the historic area of downtown Leesburg.

The restaurant is located in an 1888 historic building, which once was the People’s National Bank. The owners completely remodeled the building, restoring it to its former turn of the century beauty, and created a 300 seat restaurant, which offers upscale eating for lunch and dinner. The basement was turned into a wine cellar, the old vault is now a restroom. Ingrid is the head chef and Carrie is acting manager.

Lightfoot Restaurant employs approximately 40 persons and had an estimated annual revenue in 2015 of $500,00. The restaurant serves a contemporary American style menu including salads, filet mingon, and seafood.

Gregg’s Restaurant Corporate Office

Gregg’s Restaurant was founded in 1972 in Warwick, Rhode Island by husband and wife team Bob and Bobbie Bacon. The company operates a chain of casual American food restaurants.

The restaurants serve the usual sandwiches, soups, salads, and chowder, but desserts were hand made by Bobbie. The restaurant expanded to 4 locations by 1993. The original location had to be expanded for a take out counter, and a display case just for desserts. All locations served beer and wine and, after a few years, were expanded to add a “pub” style setting, which allowed customers to consume alcohol in a more friendly environment.

In march of 2015, the company expanded with a “tavern” next door to the original restaurant. Gregg’s Restaurants are still owned by the Bacon family and headquarters are located in East Greenwich, Rhode Island.
