In 1948 Reliance began manufacturing aluminum and magnesium products.
The company has grown through acquisitions, namely Effron Steel in 1960, Southern Equipment & Supply in 1972, Bralco Metals in 1979, Pitt Des Moins in 2001, and Earle M. Jorgenson in 2006.
Today RSCAC processes and distributes more than 100,000 metal products worldwide through almost 300 service and distribution centers to 125,000 customers.
