Raleys ONE – El Dorado Hills. Bakery manager is rude and treats staff terribly. I witnessed her belittling an employee out loud, employee left in tears. I will not purchase any bakery products from this store again. Items are stale and expired, my husband and I had food poisoning after eating cake that seemed old.
I’ll give my business to safeway.

Around 6:18PM 6/27/23 at Raleys one of male Raley’s cashier employee in Alamo Vacaville,Ca . Pretending big boss or supervisor he walk away from cash register were he is standing. He move to another counter to avoid me for check out. Im waiting for almost 20 minutes for checkout and people behind me was line up but this employee don’t care customer waiting. Kind of frustration that day and waste my time because of this person ,I recommend that he need to go back to basic customer training course or he need to transfer to another rale’y store . If the manager on this store ignoring this complaint , I will bring this problem to proper BBB agency . Corporate people need to action to resolve this issue!

Raleys need to do surprise drug test and alcohol test on employees. Cause when I go threw the check out I smell weed and alcohol coming from a employee. They should do mandatory drug test
Ben says
Costs too much to do drug test. What people do on their own time is none of your business

It’s shame how a company can still be in business with letting a lot people who work there slide with harassment, and discrimination. HR will do an investigation with the hopes of what findings “NONE” because they use this as an excuse to catch up with all the ones who are in GOOD GRACES with them like STORE LEADER, OTLs etc. They are good at putting their demons in closet and than saying they are following policy? What policy, oh yeah the one that only works on people they want to get rid of and not keep around anymore. Like how does someone loss their job after a manager said it was okay for them to do so? Super unprofessional with STATE WELLFARE, after having to go to seek for help WELFARE needed some info they make their own rules after they have stated they are not able to call a three person, I will submitting a letter to Better Business Bureau because they should not be rude to someone from the STATE or refuse to give out information to the state another company had no issue with providing the STATE with the information they were seeking.
They promote the harassers, the cameras they have are not for customers its for the workers to spy on them and when the STORE LEADER wants someone out they will lie to your face about the cool cameras they have and what they can pick up. I did not know cameras can tell you want kind of drink you are drinking and how much of anything it has, it can tell the difference from juice vs beer and can tell you how much alcohol that beer has but when they bring up to talk to you they have no proof of showing it, and because this they will make someone like myself became crazy and have to now be on medications and have to on watch for my own life. I should of left when I found out about a coworker of mine passed away and they didn’t care about it all maybe for a good 2 seconds on their anniversary only I and another coworker remembered and the so called “LEADERS” did not care about it. Just like very business “ANYONE is REPLACABLE”
This company will keep people who will advice someone who is a single mom to bring in her 2 year old son into work and put them in a room unsupervised. When I brought this up to HR, they said they all said that never happened, like really thinking like they are going to state the truth. Well hope this comment will make people speak the real truth. Same with positions that are not met for women.
They tell their workers that union is not good and that they are not on their side which is all lies. They do not want union because they know they are doing things wrong there. I do not know how to bring the truth to light about this company and what they can get away with. I will not stop until I get the video, and everyone tell the truth.

Raley’s is a very toxic company to work for!! Margarita told the whole truth!! HR’s job is to get rid of all the GOOD EMPLOYEES and keep the people who don’t care!! They make up their own policies but will not show you in the handbook! I’ve never seen a handbook since Taleys bought Nob Hill!! Don’t work here, it’s worse than Safeway!!

I ordered a large Metamucil online. When my groceries were delivered there was no Metamucil, but we were charged for it. I would like a refund.

Are dogs allowed in your grocery stores? Not service dogs – just everyday pets? I was just in your Cameron Park Bel Air grocery store checking out in the self-check line when there was a lady with a good size dog checking out in front of me – she had a whole cart full so it was not a fast check out. She even needed help and asked the manager/Ms. Gamis (sp?) for assistance. I asked Ms. Gamis if dogs were allowed and she said absolutely. To reconfirm, I asked if I could bring my golden retriever with me the next time I grocery shopped and she replied, “yes!” I just want to reconfirm that this is acceptable. Thank you.

Your Raley’s store on Mission Blvd Hayward ca is an absolute mess and has been for as long as it has been in existence. Why?
1) Garbage, [paper, food, waste droppings, etc, etc) litter the entire outside of the store and oftentimes inside as well nd this situation has been ongoing for over 20 years time despite endless complaints to management
2) Guard services when they exist are characterized by lazy indifferent personnel who make little or no effort to enforce public health safety measures and spend a ot of their time on their cell phone unrelated to work
3) The manager when informed of his store’s many shortcomings begs off responsibility citing a lack of personnel for the lack of order and cleanliness
4) Customers are permitted to shed their masks and go unrestrained by store personnel
5) long lines form at check out counters insufficiently manned thereby imposing long check out wait times
Summary: it starts at the top with management and its indifference to good, cleanly safe operating conditions . Beyond a doubt this is the filthiest least well managed grocery store I have ever visited outside of a third world banana republic ! No one seems to give a damn
Janice Guiliano says
My husband was at West Sacramento Raleys this afternoon and 5 people were there with no mask on. He asked the clerk why are they not enforcing mask wearing. The answer was they have no control. We have shopped there for over 30 years but no more. When I go Nugget or Lowe’s there is a staff person at the door enforcing mask wearing. This needs to be addressed. I expect a response. If not my next stop is to contact Yolo County health director. You have a responsibility to the community to ensure a safe environment.

A huge shout out to Raley’s in Windsor! Jeannette went up and beyond a normal level of customer service today and I am beyond grateful! I needed distilled water for our essential business and all stores have 2 bottle limits, which is not helpful for what we use them for. So I asked if there could be any consideration for more to be purchased. Between Jeannette and the manager, Mark, it got done! And it was done in 30 minutes, including lunch and drive time! Just awesome customer service!

A suggestion:
I was in Safeway in Benicia and when you enter they have someone out front wiping down the carts and hand baskets and then you take one and their aisles go ONE WAY. I was in Raley’s in Benicia yesterday and it is so chaotic and stressful. You really could do right by your customers by adopting this strategy. I have friends in the City and several of their grocery stores have adopted this strategy along with only letting so many people in at a time to help with overcrowding.
Thank you

Dear Raley’s
Today is Tuesday March 31, at about 7:45 A.M. I was in your Manteca store #311. I am 72 and I am recovering from a stroke. My hands were full though I came in for only one thing, but I picked up a few more. Your store was almost a ghost town, while the Safeway was pact with shoppers.
I stood at the check stand and the bag boy was there alone, while the checker was visiting with the floor manager. He got her attention, they both looked at me struggling to keep everything in hand and they went back to their conversation. The bag boy and I looked at each other with a shocked look.
I did get her attention when I said hello so she could hear me. When she got to the register, she wanted to know what the hurry was. So, my reply was that she had a customer waiting at her check stand, me. She then said to me that I did not write her pay check. My reply was every person that walks in that door pays her paycheck. Her reply was Raley’s pays her. Then she said I did not have to shop there and I could leave.
Then the floor manager walked up and she also told me that I could leave and there are other stores in town. Well, I just drove to your store from Safeway to get what Safeway did not have and your people tell me to leave. Your store was empty and I wonder why.
Then, the checker told the floor supervisor to check me out, because she is not going to, then the checker walked away and left me standing there. The floor supervisor took me to a different check stand to check me out. I was charged for the bag, when Safeway gives the away. The floor supervisor told me then I could just leave and shop someplace else. By the way, I do have a handicap and I try to park accordingly when I can. I have the plate for it.
With these stressful times just trying to get through this deadly virus to stay healthy is hard enough dealing with shortages and loss of wages. They were obviously still employed, while so many are already feeling this mess, the grocery stores are the only link to any amount of normalcy especially to the seniors.
The rude, ignorant and selfish behavior of your Manteca store personal is a testament to their training or lack of that is your fault, not theirs. I am a life long resident of Manteca. My grandfather had a dairy in town that every day, twice a day, he would take his milk cans to the creamery on Oak St. He would drive forward and pick them up empty and sterilized for the next milking. We still have a small town feel.
I have heard many time from my friends of how your people are so mean and rude, that they now go to other stores, not yours. I was self employed for 31 years in Manteca and was a sole proprietor. The buck stopped with me. I had sixteen full time employees. My shop operated twenty four hours a day five days a week. I was in manufacturing.
Many years prior, I had a contract to repair meat transfer tubs. There was hundreds of them. I was happy to have the job. At that time I had eleven employees. They had no respect for me as the owner or for me as the boss and employer. These guys were getting physical with me like shoving me around. SO, I informed my book keeper to make out all their checks and pay them for the entire week. I fired every one of them at the same time, and finished that contract by myself. I worked nites and weekends, but I did finish the job.
I am telling you this because I had learned a huge lesson and an employer. Sometimes I had to take the bull by the horns and eat with it.
So, I had to change how I managed my business. I was very fortunate when I retired and sold that shop. You have a store in a great spot. That spot is about to get better. But, your store was empty, people in Manteca are shopping clear across town to Safeway and food 4 less, even though they drive right by your store. …..It’s because of how YOUR PEOPLE are treating YOUR CUSTOMERS.
So, here’s the deal….it is not customers that build your business, it’s the relationships your people have with the people they serve. They have none, that is why your store was empty and it will get worse.

re: Raleys- Freeport Blvd, Sacramento
Employee Name: Kai
I assume you deal with a lot of complaints so I hope what I agave to tell you brings a smile of pride to your face. What happened at your store today is a bit long but you’ll soon understand why.
I am an elderly disabled woman awaiting 2 knee transplants. I tell you this just to set the picture in your mind’s eye of me barely able to walk because of the pain. In fact I use a mobility cart at home. I usually do eCart delivery but needed to pick up a Rx from the pharmacy at Raleys on Freeport Blvd in Sacramento, CA. I parked in the handicap spot closest to the pharmacy. Little did I know it was by the exit door until I couldn’t get in the store. As I stood there wondering whether or not I could get by without my Rx and milk and just go home.
Almost instantly one of your employees noticed me hunched over and apparently saw how much pain I was in. He opened the exit door for me and told me to not try to walk any further because he would get a mobility shopping cart for me. There were 3 available carts and he tried every single one but the batteries were too low on charge.
He could have simply taken the easy way out and said the cart won’t be ready for a while (as others have done before eCart delivery) but do you know what this truly exceptional young man said to me? He offered to get my groceries for me! I was shocked at his extent of his kindness and thoughtfulness. I asked if he was sure that would be ok as I didn’t want him to get in trouble. He insisted on helping me and because I really needed milk and 3 other things I gratefully accepted his kind offer. I thought I would have to stand and wait for him, but this amazing young man helped me to a nearby chair to sit and then off he went to get groceries for me.
I am still so in awe of the extent of his kindness to an old disabled woman like me that it was almost impossible to hold back my tears.
You have a very valuable employee. His willingness to go above and beyond gives Raleys a great reputation. He is worth his weight in gold. If he ever decides to work elsewhere I sincerely hope you will do everything you can to keep him.
I have never given feedback like this in all my nearly 70 years, but you deserve to know what a uniquely outstanding employee you have in Kai.
With much appreciation,
Shirley Colon

I am very pleased that your handling Rebel ice cream at your stores. I would like to request more flavors. Carrying only four flavors leaves me only chocolate and vanilla since I don’t like mint or cookie dough. They have so many other flavors beside just the four. When I went in the store, Antioch, Ca, yesterday you were out of vanilla so people are buying it.
Thank You for consideration

Earlier tonight I was shopping at Raley’s in Merced. Ca. I was shocked and angered to witness a shopper shouting rudely at one of our longtime workers. She was shoving her fingers in the workers face as she carried on with her tirade. She was complaining about the treatment her daughter had received. The daughter was a young adult who stood by as her mother raged. As her mother raged on, she broke down in tears. The worker just stood there. No customers helped, even though they were clearly upset. No coworkers came to her defense. What is wrong with Raley,s? Why is there no support for workers? This woman should be banned from Raley.s. I do not want to shop where this is allowed. I have shopped there for 28 years. Shame on your store policies (or lack thereof) Patricia M. Hurlburt

I just want to bring this to your attention. I have been shopping at Raley since my boys were in diapers. I have never had a problem with theift before now. I have been shopping at the Raley store in Wingfield Hills Rd. Sparks NV. for about three years now. Last year I noticed off and on I would not come home with the food I bought. I thought maybe I just thought I bought it and let it go. Just last month my husband said to me, why did you take 20.00 dollars cash out. I said i did not. We let it go and I am not a complainer but now have decided to not shop at that Raleys. The person that did this has been with Raleys for many many years, shame on her. Melani Ashworth
