Chester’s Fried Chicken was founded in 1965 by W. O. Giles in Birmingham, Alabama. The company serves fast food style fried chicken and chicken sandwiches, wraps, salads, and biscuits. The company also offers prepackaged fried chicken items for sale in convenience stores. While most people still refer to the company as Chester’s Fried Chicken, the company actually changed their name in 2004 to Chester’s International, LLC.

History

Today, many of the 1800 locations across the US are franchised and are often found in travel stops such as TravelCenters of America. The company continues to expand, opening 3 new locations in Texas, Colorado, and Missouri during the first 6 months of 2016.

Love’s Travel Stops began featuring the Chester’s Fried Chicken Sandwich at all of their 113 locations in mid-August 2019.

The company was founded in 1974 by several Georgia Tech college students who believed that making the proper pizza was a science that they could perfect. The company is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.

Today, the company has more than 150 locations, most of them franchised. Mellow Mushroom offers a wide assortment of beers and is well known for the colorful tie-dyed mushroom decorations and hippie themed restaurants. Many locations offer bingo night, live music on the weekends, and/or karaoke or trivia competitions. Some locations offer delivery, but not all.

Mellow Mushroom continues to expand and plans on opening 3 new locations in 2016 in Florida, New Jersey, and St. Louis, Missouri.

History

The company has been voted as Best Fast-Casual Mexican Restaurant of the Year in the 2016 HarrisPoll Survey. Moe’s Southwest Grill is known for daily specials that have amusing or trendy names, such as El Guapo’s Infamous Salsa, which is a villain from the Three Amigos movie starring Steve Martin.

In March 2022, the Pocono Mountain West Student Council paired with Moe’s to help fund the Make a Wish Foundation.

Knott’s Berry Farm Corporate Office

Knott's Berry Farm

Knott’s Berry Farm was an actual working farm, owned by Walter and Cordelia Knott. During the Depression, they began selling berries, pies, and fried chicken along State Route 39 in California. The Knotts began serving food in a tea room on the property and soon added shops and entertainment for visitors. Walter Knott began construction of a “ghost town” on his farm in the late 1940’s. By the early 1960’s, Knott’s Berry Farm was founded and admission was no longer free.

Today, Knott’s Berry Farm is owned by Cedar Fair Entertainment. This wild west themed park is the 12th most visited park in America and has more than 10,000 full time employees. A water park was added in 1999 and Cedar Fair continues to expand the park by adding more rides.

The park currently has 10 roller coasters, 2 water rides, and a total of 40 rides and attractions. Knott’s Berry Farm had almost 4 million visitors in 2015.
