My Husband and I Love going to Tommy’s Original Burger’s in Simi Valley Calif. on Madera. Francisco is a employee at this location he makes you feel so welcomed he starts with a big smile depending on the day says Good after noon or Good evening he makes you feel like you are Family as if you were going to his own home to eat a meal! I have been to several fast food and dine in restaurants but Francisco is a Excellent and not exaggerating Excellent Star Employee. You would think Francisco was the owner of this location because Francisco takes so much Pride into his Excellent Customer Service! Thank You for allowing me to compliment Francisco! He has been at this location for many many years it’s Employees like this that’s keeps us going back to this location in Simi Valley Calif. I’ve been eating at Tommy’s since I was 10 years of age! I LIVE Tommy’s and have never had any negative experiences at any of the locations. The staff are friendly, the food is fresh, my sister can’t get enough of the yellow peppers, and the burgers … I’m salivating as I’m writing this. Since I moved to the Sacramento area I truly miss Tommy’s! When I travel South I take ziplocks and bring back burger for me & my sis! On business trips I’ve introduced my staff to Tommy’s & loved it too! My 50 years of eating Tommy’s … well, they can’t be beat!

I just wanted to make a complaint about my experience at one of your Tommy’s restaurants. I went to the one on Florence and Seville in Huntington Park. The girl at the window was very rude. She refused to let me use the restroom even after I made an $11 food purchase. She gave me only three ketchups and two little napkins and we all know chili cheese burgers are very messy. I felt the restrooms should be open to paying customers. I felt it was discrimination because I look white and not mexican. It was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. Can you please talk to the management and let them know to do a better job and train their employees on customer service. Thank you. My name is Nick Lucero and my phone number is (310) 702-XXXX. My address is XXXXX Virginia ave, Lynwood,Ca. 90262

I went to the Tommy’s on Hollywood Blvd. needing to use the restroom and then placing an order. The mens room was taken by a homeless person who refused to hurry up. One couple in front of me decided to use the womens restroom instead since whoever was in the mens restroom wasn’t going to hurry up. A female security guard k locked on the mens restroom door and nothing happened. then she knocked on the women’s restroom door and started to yell at the couple inside saying that restroom was for women only. I was in need to relieve myself and had no choice but to use the women’s restroom. that female security guard tried to stop me by grabbing my shoulders. I told her you can’t stop me from using the restroom. your job is to observe and report. she called me something in Spanish I didn’t understand and called me stupid. After I was finished with the restroom, i placed my order and made a complaint to whoever was in charge, if there was anyone in charge. this incident happened November 3, 2018, time approximately 1130 PM. I appreciate any response

I have been going to Tommy’s since I was a teenager on rampart area. I went to a Tommy’s in Riverside, Ca. They put the chili under the Hamburger not on top of the burger!!…I flipped out and asked them to give me another and explained why. They gave me another the same way!. I showed them what to do with the chili and they did it, but they said that’s not the way we do it her. I told them this is the way it is done for over 50 years. The first one was such a mess I could not believe it. Please tell me if the franchises can do whatever they want and I will not return to that one.
Thank you,
Steve

Well , you just never know what’s happening sometimes until it is too late . I went to the Tommy’s in Eagle Rock , Ca. after the L.A. King’s Game it was probably about 10:30pm and the person working the drive-thru was very talkative asked a lot of questions like : Do you want Chili Peppers ? Do you want ketchup ? Do you want extra Napkins ? Before i realized it i was at home , 20 miles away and i remembered this guy did not give me my change from the $20.00 Bill i gave him as payment !!!!! Also , he did not give me a receipt . I figure i am screwed for my $ 11.00 or so change , but i figure at this point i might as well warn everyone else who might get screwed by this ” Latino Rip-Off Artist ” . If you ever go to Tommy’s in Eagle Rock , California after 10:00pm at night , beware of this crew they are probably sharing the their Ill-Gotten Gain with each other . Hope this don’t ever happen to anyone else again !!!! JPB1161@ gmail.com

Went to ur location in lake Forest last night . Very disappointed in the food and customer service. Employees are rude and not welcoming. Ordered the trio last night and the cashier didn’t know how to ring it up. A food preper had to ring it up . As she did it with her gloves on touching the screen I noticed that she went right back to making burgers and I asked why she did not change her gloves after she touched the dirty screen. Which is touched by the cashier without gloves. I was told she did change her gloves . But infact she didn’t. I watched her . I was then given attitude and then no one behind the counter would talk to me. I even tried to ask another question and was just given a blank stare. I even talked with other customers in the restaurant and they even talked about how rude and how smug the employees were. The customers even asked me about my order and I said it was the trio and you think the cashier would have mentioned it to them . But it wasn’t even tho they ordered a hot dog and a chill burger. Not once did I see a smile or hear a thank you or your welcome. And not once did a employee come out to the dinning room to clear treys or wipe down tables while we were there last night. And we happened to be there for are least 30 minutes because the people we were talking to were celebrating a birthday. And the employees just sat in the back and not once did they even come out to even say how was the food or to clean up . One customer even said thank you and I did not hear any response. Poor customer service and they food was not great either. This location just seems to lack in customer service . I have been hear years ago and it was the same food was just blah and no smiles or happy employees. I thought I would give it another chance but it just seems to be a lack luster tommys.

My husband, son and I love to go to Tommy’s. Today we went and my son (whom is only 5 and has a developmental delay) told us he had to use the bathroom. The people at the location in Tujunga on foothill, I think the address is 7606 we’re very rude. They lied and said they don’t have a bathroom in the building. My son is recently fully potty trained (because of his delay). They wouldn’t allow a CHILD to use the restroom?!? I’ll never go to Tommy’s again! We spend $40! That’s a lot of money! I want my money back. I paid cash. I will go higher up (news) if I don’t get resolution this way.

Just wanted to let you know about the town I live in which is Santa Paula, CA zip code 93060. The town is really expanding they are building a whole new section of city on the East end it is going to be the size of about half the town size now, plus they are selling & leasing these big lots right on hwy 126 at the East side of town easy access, which would be a great location for a Tommy’s. We need one here in town, if you could please look into this.

I’ve been meaning to make this complaint for some time now I’ve been going to Tommy’s all my life and I must say my 33 years of living in the past 10 years of going it is definitely taking a different direction I’ve pretty much been to the majority of your Southern California locations but about the past five times I’ve had horrible experiences with your Cerritos location most recent was a week ago if somebody can contact me it would be highly appreciated

I visited Tommy’s today on Burbank and I have Hollywood and as we are eating my food my son delivered to spit out his bit of food as he bit into Long hairs in his chili fries so off course after having to rush my son outside because he wanted to vomit because the hair was stuck in his tongue that defiantly ruined our appetite and when I took them the fries with the hair the woman has the nerve to ask if I want new fries after seeing we threw all our food away 40 dollars in the trash

I visit # 21 quite frequent. On a recent visit, the drive thru was taking unsually long. There was no one on the drive thru. As I waited at the window for my order, I asked one of the employees what was taking so long. He said that they had other orders. I could see the counter form my SUV and could see a couple of people only. One of the employees even went to talk to the manager who was inside the office but, never came out. This is not the first time this happens. It was just the first time I said something cause my date was saying “this is ridiculous”. So I said something. The young employee even mocked me by saying “yes we are busy”. This is a great location that could be much better with better management.

Always go to the store in Tujunga. But the parking is limited. If you want to probably increase business by 33 % there is an old small restaurant that is not very big but has decent parking with indoor seating and a drive thru that would help your business a lot. It is located approx 1/2 a mile from your store in Tujunga.
It would probably need a lot of work but in the long run it would pay off. You would still get the Sunland Tujunga crowd and probably get more business from the Glendale area which would be less than a mile away. By the way we are a local construction company that builds small restaurants like yours.
Would not hurt to look into and no cost to do that.

Subject: Restaurant experience
Hi Dawna,
I wanted to drop a note and say thank you for the great experience it always is to visit a Tommy’s. You make it very difficult for a person to find any faults with their experience visiting one of the resrestaurants. It happens to be one our favorite food establishments.
So it pains me to write the following experiences I had last night (Sunday April 8th 2018). We invited friends who were visiting from North Carolina to the Palmdale store approximately 8 PM. (Our friends loved it by the way) I used the restroom, which was clean. I also noticed that there wasn’t any paper towels to dry ones hand. It wasn’t the cleanliness that bothered me, it was what I couldn’t see that perturbed me. My imagination runs away with scenarios such as a child moments earlier urinating on his hands grabbing the door handle while running out. To curb this, I use papertowels for the door handle and then throw them away with a convenient trash can by the door. I also use it to turn the water off because the same hands where dirty when turning the handle on.
I’m assuming the decision to eliminate the paper towel option was derived from a misguided idea that by doing so would somehow save the planet from its impending doom. I trust this isn’t the case. Because global warning/climate change is nothing more than a myth. Quite frankly, a liberal rouse for monetary gain.
Please advise
Thank you again!

I just want to say I’ve been a Tommy’s customer for years (back in the 60’s) and I’ve always loved your burgers and fries. I recently went to the one in Norwalk and when we got our food the fries were in a little paper dish (as before) and they barely put fries in there. The burger seemed okay but smaller. The fries weren’t big like before it was like getting McDonald’s fries. And to top it off it was $9.00 dollars. I was so disappointed. It just wasn’t the same. Its so different now. You need to go back to the way they were before.

Hello, I’ve thought about this for a few days and decided to bring it to your attention. I was at your restaurant #2 Wednesday and after I got my food and was walking to the dinning area I said hi to the older man that cleans up works there. He responded to me in Spanish and what I understood was he called me a racist slur (wedo). I hope you take this serious and do something about it. I grew up in the Valley and have been a customer for way more than half my life….
