I ordered 1 sweater from Appleseed. I should have know something was wrong with a company that charged 12.98 for a light-weight sweater. Today I looked at my bank account online and saw that a Div of Orchard Brands, MA just charged me a second time, I take it for the same sweater because I didn’t order anything else. Hopefully my bank will take that charge off my account but I’m not sure. What a shoddy company!!!

I wrote a lengthy email that is beneath the one I wrote in 2017

I ordered a pair of jeans from Norm Thompson that were advertised as 32″ long. When I received them, they were 27″ long. Needless to say, I called customer no-service and was met with a surly, sarcastic and very rude, bored phone operator. She told me “they” would decide if they paid the return shipping, once they “inspected” my returned product. I returned the pants the next day, and I learned today they only refunded the purchase price. ORCHARD BRANDS, are you not seeing the complaints about the service?!?!?! If you want to stay in business, address YOUR customers’ needs! I was a public relations professional for 33 years, and I would never treat clients in this manner!

Worst experience ever! No service, no response to complaints, no remedy offered. Glad I was able to cancel the charge to my bank account. Please cancel all catalogs from ALL affiliates

I have a $300. order that I have tried to complete. When I check out with PayPal I am directed to that site, sign in and then when I authorize the payment , continue to the Orchard Brands site to place the order I get a message that the server is not accepting the order. I can and have ordered from other companies and have had not problem. Please see that this is resolved. I am especially concerned because some of the items were discounted and that time may expire before I can complete the transaction.

I have been a customer of D&D for 30 years, as well as Appleseed and The Tog Shop. Since your purchase of these businesses, they have deteriorated. As I bring out my summer and spring clothes, most of them came from D&D. When I get a catalog now, there are very few items which I consider “classics”. At age 83, I don’t want a lot of flowing material. Within the past year, when I ordered from any of the 3 catalogs mentioned above, the material was not up to my standards and sizes have changed. I am thankful for the outfits that I’ve had for years because they remain in good condition. Having been given gift cards for $200, I spent most of the money on postage because either the items didn’t fit, or the material was not acceptable.
It seems that I can’t count on being able to buy items on line any more.

I commented in 2017. Today, I received another gift card for D&D for $100. In my back room, I have 2 orders to return to the Tog Shop and Appleseed. Sizes have changed. My older outfits still fit. I have shopped at most of Orchard Brands for over 35 years. It’s about to stop. I hope that there is enough room for me to make the comments I want to make. It’ll be hard to use the gift card. In fact, I have part of a card received in July to use.
Appleseed. There one extra special model– the best in all of your catalogs. I’m beginning to see her in other places. She was made for this profession.
D&D There is a model in this catalog which increases my anxiety. She is not relaxed, her hair appears that it is ready for a clown or Halloween costume. There is another model who has about the same amount of hair, but it is neat and she is relaxed. Once, I enjoyed looking at these catalogs. Now I wonder when that woman is going to “jump” off the page. I pay no attention to what she is wearing.
Old Pueblo Traders–What a misnomer!. Do you know anything about the Pueblos? The original catalog had authentic Native American items. Pueblos are cliff dwellers. The jewelry they make is awesome. Rename this catalog because it is a farce. Acoma is the longest continuous city in this country. Thankfully, this year I received a catalog which was filled with actual Native American items.
After reading other comments, I doubt that anything will change. There are cards with discounts from D&D on my desk–none have been used. Some have expired.
Service and quality were much better before Orchard bought these what were once reliable brands.
It’s no pleasure to look to use my gift cards.

I had problems with Blair and now if I try to order any thing from any of your stores my order is cancelled because of Blair. I want everyone to know not to trust any of the stores that belong to you. I am looking for a way to sue you for discriminating against me and any body else you have done this way. Very sad that companies like you are allowed to stay in buisness.

My first name is “E. R.”, both capital letters. I use only this form for business. I have been buying shoes from OPT for some years with never a misspelled name. I recently spent several day’s of frustrating correspondence with your “customer service” department after the company suddenly began to address me as “Er.” or “E” or “ER”, with no space between the letters. I had filled out my name correctly in submitting my order (the same as OPT has had on my account for years) and had to keep e-mailing them to correct the newer versions they kept coming up with. Today I received a “customer of the year” mailing addressed to “Mrs.” E. R. Valora. The first name is finally correct but, where on God’s green earth did the “Mrs.” come from? Must I point out that the title is not only wrong, but definitely unauthorized as well! The name I gave for my order is the name on my credit card account and everywhere else I do business. Until your unlettered employees get the message I won’t be ordering anything else from OPT or any other Orchard Brand companies, which no doubt have the botched-up name on their accounts now too.
