Several years ago- I lived in Asheville NC and had the pleasure of seeing the Norfolk Southern train on my way home from work each day. I have since remarried and reside in TN. I am writing to see if it is possible to obtain a Norfolk Southern uniform button. I am trying to collect for my personal enjoyment – railway buttons. If this is possible – please email me and I will send my address.

I know and you know I have sent you e-Mails about the train left running in Connellsville Pa. at the Narrows Hill crossing. Either you are not very sensitive about things, just don`t care or very slow at returning e-mails. Any how the train is still running at the crossing every day and night. How would like listening to that noise at your home?! You probally be the first one complaining about it. This has been going on since the beginning of spring 2018. Not only is it bothersome it is like mental torture listening to that all the time. We the neighbors are about to call the local tv station and invite them out to see and listen to what we have been putting up with. I told you as stated before that I happen to have CODP and know it`s not good breathing all the fumes the train is putting off and I will not stop till it`s moved for good. The yard in Connellsville is only 2 miles at the most. Any person with a good thinking mind would park it there. If there is anyone out there reading this and can help in any way it would really make my day as well as the neighbors.

A couple of days ago I complained about a train running day after day near my home. Not only is the noise bothering us and not able to get a good nights rest but I`m sure the fumes are not good for us. The crew parks the train at at crossing north of Connellsville Pa. on the Narrows Hill road crossing. The crossing is only two miles at the most from the Connellsville yard. I thought bye now I would surely hear a reply back. Would you want this noise going on close to your house 24 hours a day? The problem today is no one cares about the other guy look out for me. We have had this problem going on since before spring of 2018. Surely there are some good people left out there that care for one another. I happen to have COPD and my healthis not that good. My neighbor was operated on last year for cancer. We do not need this day after day night after night constantly listening to a train running. Thank you for your time! I am surely waiting for a response. Have a good day!

Sir: We have been trying to get this problem solved for a long time and did not know who to contact so I have been going down thru the channels. About one mile north of Connellsville Pa. the crew has been leaving the train run at the crossing day after day. The Narrows Hill crossing. This has been going on since before the spring of 2018. We the neighbors are really getting frustrated hearing that thing run all the time . At night you can really notice it due to the fact the tv is off and it`s hard at times to sleep hearing it run. It`s almost like a mental stress put on the mind hearing it. Not only is the noise bothersome but the fumes coming off the exhaust can not be good either. I myself happen to have COPD and I`m sure the air quality if measured is not too good. We and I`m speaking for all the neighbors are asking if you would please look into this matter and please have the train moved. The only time it moves is sometimes in the evening for about one hour I guess to make a shift and right back it comes. I ask you, would you want this around your home constantly? Please help us find some relief. The yard in Connellsville is only about one to two miles away and we don`t understand why it can not be taken there and parked. Thank you for your time. Have a good day! Please contact me on this matter.

I don’t know who to report this to, but maybe you can help me. We have a bridge in Alto, Ga. that is in bad need of repair. I am worried about the safety of those who use it regularly. It is very close to my home and I would like to know who is in charge of inspecting this bridge. Could you send me that information? I would really appreciate it.

As a Veteran friendly company, I am wondering why I keep getting passed over for jobs. Being a Veteran of Desert Storm and Iraq and having served my Country for 15 years. I would like some consideration and a fair shot to show you what a hard worker I am. I’ve had one interview and I think it’s because of my age and my disability. ( PTSD ) As the reason you won’t hire me.

My main issue is that I am receiving at least 50 calls per day on my cellphone from several numbers that all claim to be “non-listed Norfolk Southern numbers”. When I answer my phone, no-one is there! When I call back, I get the message about the non-listed Norfolk Southern numbers. This is getting to be really annoying because they are using different numbers every time. It is likely that some sort of scam is going on that I believe you should know about since they are using your good name. Do you have any idea why they are using your old numbers or who it might be.
My second point is that your telephone answering system sucks. Has anyone in your organization tried contacting it recently. I kept ending up in answerphone loops which is incredibly annoying. An organization like yours should be represented better. I was a CEO for 30 years and I used to contact my systems regularly to make sure that they worked. Suggest your CEO does the same.
Thanks.

Good afternoon, I would like to speak to someone concerning a spur used for delivering coal to two power plants in Indiana Co. Pa. The spur starts at about the seven mile post in Indiana Co. progresses to the Conemaugh River crosses the river and goes into Westmoreland Co. It is in the county for approximately 4 miles crosses the river again at Climax and then proceeds to the Conemaugh Power Plant where it delivers coal and then proceeds to the Seward Power Plant for the same purpose. Total length is about 14 miles.
Thank you, your quick response is appreciated.

Can’t get an answer about engine that has been off my bedroom windows from 4pm, 6/21 until now. Engine #9560, Virginia inland port, Front Royal, Va. I believe it is Shenandoah District. A Mr. Lee was very nice. The train master seemed a little put out with me. Anyway since 2013 during my cancer treatment a Mr. Bush was instrumental in helping the overnight engine running was far enough from the house that we were able to sleep. They either leave the engine in the port or backed into the spur at DuPont Plant. Works great. I am so sorry I upset the train master. But me at 72, my husband at 74 and still working in northern VA and a quest (77) we had there was very little sleep. I hope and pray my sending this does not cause some kind of pay back, so to speak. Thank you, Ellen Caudle 540 635-XXXXX

I have a complaint. I would like to know why that when some one is employed by a different co that is contracted out to Norfolk Southern why they do NOT get rail pay for one and that ifd the rail gang is off on weekends that the ones that are contracted out to nfs should also be off on the weekends instead of them being on the road for weeks and months at a time with out seeing their kids and wives and or girlfriends or waht ever the case my be. And what are the qualfications to be hired reason im asking is no one seems to know how to keep the generaitors running and when they do break down no onw knows how to work on them you all have to call someone tht is contracted out to you all to fix the flipen things and i know for the last 4 weeks that has benn happining alot more than usuall train your own men to fix them and train your own men to move their own camps or better yet put them ALL on rails including crap tanks so you dont have to hire outside nfs to move them and or work on them. If you dont plain on hiring my husband AND my self to move the camps and work on the generators then by all means train your own workers I do love my husband and would love to see him it has been like I said 4 weeks and he will have to go out agian this comming week cause im sure as im sitting here writting this someone WILL f*ck up a generatior and have to fix it PLEASE for the sake of ALOT of marriges train YOUR OWN men to do these things it would save alot of time and money in the long run to do this and maintence on their own camps thank you for your time I will send these on a regular basis until something happens thnaks
