We had purchased what appeared to be a beautiful sofa from Kane’s in Port Charlotte – I should have known then that they Only Sell Junk when one of the legs was broken and required replacement. The Store Sign and Advertisements should be Required to disclose that Kane’s Furniture Is Only Expected To Last One Year ! – If it lasts longer than One Year then something must be wrong. The Finish/Coating on the Sofa begins to wear off and fleck after about a year and a half despite being gently cared for in an adult only home with no pets. In all our years of owning many different forms of seating we never had such Junk. Any Furniture Store that considers itself a Reputable Establishment should never sell such Junk. We purchased some of our furniture for our newly purchased vacation condo late 2015 and delivery for the chairs that we will be talking about was in the spring of 2016. We are from out of country and have only made the trip to our condo 1 or 2 weeks out of the year. We are retired but busy with family back home and we do not rent out our condo. Our condo was built in 2006 and we replaced the air/heating unit shortly after our purchase. Therefore the condo was well climatized. In 2020, the borders were closed for 20 months. We came to check on our condo right away. Our beautiful leather sofa/love seat was still beautiful (not purchased from Kanye’s). We have 2 kitchen chairs which were 1/4 of the value of the dining chairs purchased from Kanye’s were still beautiful. The dining chairs purchased from Kanes are literally disintegrating. The vinyl is bubbling and peeling all over the floor. Yesterday we had a guest and since we only use 2 chairs, he sat in one that looked ok. By the time he left, he left with part of the vinyl on the back of the chair with him. We have complained to several people at the store back in November. Was told that there was only 1 year warranty even though the folder that holds our receipt shows Free lifetime guarantee. We have emailed the sales rep who took the sale along with pictures and no response. Who buys furniture from a furniture store to see this happen? No one cared to look further into it, no one cared at all. This is obviously a manufacture defect but no one cared to investigate. Shame on you for treating people like this.

I purchased a dinning room set from online called your representative and said yes she can see my order.. OK that nice she can.. when am I going to get my order? you guys are horrible.. If I do not hear from anyone in a week I will cancel my order and also file a complain with the better business bureau. WORST service.

Furniture SO GOOD you can’t use it. My curio had a broomstick on it. I can not use
my curio … it might take the finish off.
Needless to say the finish came off. It is not a manufacturer defect so NO ONE
will fix it. Hello? There is a table that goes with it … does that mean you can not eat
at the table cause it may take the finish off. VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER. They will

I purchased over $10,000 worth of furniture in your Ocala store in October of 2018.
When the furniture was delivered, I mentioned to the installers of both bedroom sets that the legs holding up the center of the bed didn’t look very sturdy. They shrugged and said no one had any complaints and that was that.
My china hutch arrived with defective door hinges. It took 3 weeks for someone to come out to fix it. He wasn’t polite. He appeared to be angry that he had to come fix it. He bent it with a pliers and left. It still doesn’t close correctly. I called about it – was told someone would call me back. Of course, no one did. I gave up. I can live with it, although I shouldn’t have to.
Back to the bed:
About 1 month later, the king size bed in our room collapsed. The legs holding the center collapsed inward. I had to take the entire bed apart at 2 a.m. and try to fix it. The screws were not tight in some places and stripped in others. I called Customer Service, was put on hold for over 40 minutes. Finally, I was able to speak to someone and they said they’d have someone call me to fix it. No one called me back. I waited another week, called again and they said they had no record of my call. I was already not happy. I was put on a schedule for a month later. Unacceptable. So, my husband and I fixed it ourselves with 2×4’s. Also, the day we were “scheduled” to have someone fix it, no one arrived. I called, because the same problem was happening in the guest room with the king size bed there. They said no one put us on the schedule and the next available service person couldn’t be there for 6 weeks. Again, unacceptable. Again, we fixed it ourselves.
NOW, I have a problem with my love seat. Someone has been out – and told me they didn’t know why the seat has lost color in one spot. Someone also called me and said they manufacturer would replace the seat, it would be delivered to me and I’d have to call Kane’s to get someone to come and fix it when it arrived. What they did NOT tell me is that it would take between 8 – 20 weeks to get it. 8 to 20 weeks? That’s unacceptable. I will be leaving to go out of state on May 15th and won’t be back until September 20th. I called several times for a resolution. No one will help me. I was told by Rachel at the Ocala store that I should’ve read my warranty when I purchased the furniture. That it was a repair policy, not a replacement policy. WHAT KIND OF SERVICE IS THAT??????
My solution was simple. They could have the part sent to THEM, take my love seat, replace it with the floor model and then repair it when it came to THEM and put it on the floor. She said she would speak to Corporate. She came back after putting me on hold and said that Corporate said no. I’d just have to wait.
I should NOT have to wait. You were happy to take my money and didn’t wait to cash my check! Now – no customer service. I have 3 friends moving to this area in the next year. I have already told them to steer clear of Kane’s as your company apparently doesn’t care about the customer once you have our money. I am FURIOUS, and I bet if YOU were treated this way, you would be too. I can honestly say that the customer is NEVER right in your store.
Caveat Emptor. I have learned an important lesson. I just purchased a condo for my parents. Guess who will NOT be buying furniture from Kane’s for a 2 bedroom, 1500 sq. ft. Condo in Tampa!

Yesterday was the worst experience I ever,ever had with a delivery service. Me and my wife has been waiting patiently well over a mouth for our dinning room set. The delivery Driver call use the day before (10/16/18) and said it will be delivered between 9:30 to 1:30. Yesterday waited because I haven’t heard him. First he tells me the window was for 10-2 and that he had two more stops and around 2pm before he can get hear. Then I call again around 2:15 and get no answer. I call again around 2:30 he tell me it will be another 1 to 45 min. So I Called the Store a couple of time because at this time and the drivers attitude I did want him coming here. I finally got a hold of a manger and didn’t really get any help (basically it was out of there hands). I call the Driver again around 3pm and again he tells me it will be another 1 to 45 min. I tell him I had to go pick up my wife and grandkids and I didn’t know how long it was going to take me. I finally get a call from the Driver around 4:30 asking me if I still wanted the delivery and I tell him yes but not from him. An now I haven’t yet here from anyone. I spent a hold day just setting around waiting for a delivery.
I should have to tell anyone that my wife is sick. All the Driver should have done when he knew he was running a couple of of hours late is to let me know. But to give me a window of 9:30 to 1:30 and then finally calling me at 4:30 asking me if I still want my order is unbelievable. Like I said we have been waiting over a month. And if it wasn’t because of my wife i would tell them what they could do with it. But she wants it. I have paid for this and now to be treated like it will get hear when it gets hear is beyond me. I don’t know if sending this will do any good or not but I needed to send something because the delivery SERVICE sucks. And also like I said I have yet to hear from anyone. So I guess I waist this day to try to find out when I can get my order.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Kanes delivery drivers called the 30 min before they delivered giving me a window between 8 and 12. Not once did they say they were on there way being that I was just getting the call that morning. Anywho, they scratched my floor and blamed it on my niece stating she moved a love seat (old furniture) which I actually had moved the night before. I put in a claim with Pauline at their terrible customer service (she was nice by the way). Tia the person that called me back pretty much STATED Sorry it is your word against theirs. I informed her if they didn’t scratch it why were they in a rush to leave and did mot put my furniture together (sectional) and did not answer the phone or return the call as I watched them speed off down the street. I NEVER HAD PISSED POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I SPEND A LOT MONEY TO BE TOLD SORRY

I would like to share what my husband and I are are going through with our furniture set here in Palm Bay, FL from Kane’s in Melbourne.
About a year ago we put purchased a king size bedroom set from Kane’s. The furniture set broke within a few months of us getting it my husband repaired and it broke again we called the company and they sent out a technician. The technician glued and screwed back in the pieces for the bed last year and it broke again last night. We thought the entire thing would crash to the floor.I went to the store today to explain the situation we spent thousands of dollars on a furniture set that broke within a year of purchase we just got sold a furniture set from Ashleys that I had for 11years we have never had a problem with it. I wish I had it now.
When the technician came he said that the frame and feet were breaking because of the floor(we have a wooden floor). He said its like ice skates on a floor and we should get rubber feet or padding so we did.
I assure you if the company told us that the bed model was not made for wooden floors we would not have purchased the bedroom set. The lady at Kanes today told me that all of the sets do that that they all slide on a wooden floor. However the inside legs are thin and are not even seen due to the model set up. It’s cheap. She said there are no refunds and that we should purchase a rug for the room she had first suggested to get rubber pads for the bed but I told her that we already did that. I talked to one of my best friends she has the same set at her house which is why we took interest in the set in the first place. I asked her today how her set was doing and if it had ever broke and/or if she have had ever had problems with her’s. She said yes it did break( she had the queen-size version of what we have) she also said if we have the king that we will probably are having a lot more trouble with it because of the size difference. She explained her husband went and bought two-by-fours at the hardware store to fix it himself. I do not want to have to go through all of that. I feel like we should not have to go out and purchase something for something that we have had a year and that broke down within less than a year of purchase. Please if there is anything you can do we would greatly appreciate it. we have two children a seven month old and a 4 year old I don’t want either of them to fall down in this bed. I don’t even want to fall down in the bed. I don’t feel safe in the bed. My husband is more furious than I. I greatly appreciate you all taking the time to read this. I don’t know when a technician will show up at this point it’s not going to fix anything if they do give us new wood for the bed because the wood is so cheap. It will break again
My friend’s a queen size was on a carpeted floor when it broke. Showing there is no help I for this particular bed. I would like to select something different that I can have for years to come. I don’t want to feel taken by a store that is suppose to have family at heart. I trust you all can make this right please help.
