Journelle was founded in 2007 by former CEO Claire Chambers. After being disappointed in the lingerie she found at even exclusive shops, she decided to create her own upscale lingerie business. The company designs and sells lingerie for women.
The company began with one store in Manhattan, New York, and has expanded to 4 locations; 3 in New York, 1 in Chicago. The company also boasts a large eCommerce store. In 2014, the company hired former Victoria Secret designer Raina-Eid. The company is known for its lacy, delicate, and beautiful lingerie. Brands include names such as CosaBella, Chantelle, and Hanky Panky. The company launched their own perfume line, Linden, in early 2013.
In 2012 the company began a partnership with Free The Girls Foundation, by giving away gently used bras donated by clients, along with a matching $1 for every donation. Company headquarters remain in Manhattan, New York.
