Deborah B. Davis says
Dear Mr. Joseph,
My husband/business partner, Larry and I have applied to your indeed employment positions a number of times since 2013 and unlike other positions we have applied to, your company rejects us within less than 24 hours…everyone else takes at least a week to respond with a positive or negative.
This I don’t understand considering what either one of us can bring to the table with experience. Although , after thinking about it, we’d be great as a team for your company.
If you are rejecting applicants because of age, who have tons of experience in what you’re selling, you will fail in business.
I was reading that you want to create an outstanding company culture?
You cannot manage a company such as yours without people with exceptional, outstanding experience in taking care of property and homes. Those employees working for you today, aren’t old enough to have the experiences and education we have, or those like us? You need both the new and experienced team members on your team.
We bring education and experience to the table including having ownership of multi-million dollar properties, managing employees, properties and businesses; we have created three very successful startups.
The multi-million dollar homes we have managed were in Steamboat Springs Co, and Sun Valley, Idaho; I personally grew up on Lake Tahoe, owned a home there on the lake, and know the area like the back of my hand; my husband is a contractor, had a successful business for over twenty years in California.
I grew up in one of the most prestigious furniture companies in Northern, California started in 1856, by my great grandfather, and still going today. I was the hospitality manager for The Young President’s Organization, (YPO)
Larry has managed a Steakhouse seating 750 patrons at a time and we both created and managed a furniture/fashion business out of the Denver Merchandise Mart for a number of years.
We know well most of the areas in which you do business; Vail, Steamboat Springs, Lake Tahoe, Jackson Hole and Telluride.
And these experiences and the qualities garnered are merely a few of the positives we could bring to InvitedHome, best yet as a couple.
Yes, we’re also very proficient with Social Media, SEO, blogging and more.
I won’t detain you further, but your company needs some real help in hiring practices and filling the real needs of your customers and their properties.
Unless you find a way to diversify the ages and experiences in your employees, you will fail. This being the opinion of someone who’s family has been successfully in the furniture business for over 200 years.
Tell me are your employees versed in removing stains from high-end furniture, upholstered in silk or wool? Do you have employees who can rent property in the morning and build a new staircase in someone’s home in the afternoon if needed?
Remember, “Something old and something new” for the bride? With all due respect Mr. Joseph you need to take this classic quote very seriously.
Thank you for your time…
Best Regards,
Deborah B Davis
