LegalShield Corporate Office

LegalShield develops and markets prepaid legal service plans through its network of attorneys in the United States and Canada.

In 1969 Harland C. Stonecipher was involved in an automobile accident and the subsequent lawsuit depleted his savings. This situation inspired him to create The Sportsman’s Motor Club, the predecessor to Pre-Paid Legal, which changed its name to LegalShield in 2011.

In 1984 Pre-Paid Legal went public, trading on the NASDAQ. In 1989 it moved to the American Stock Exchange, and then to the New York Stock Exchange in 1999.

The company also provides free final will and testaments for members.

Kaiser Permanente Corporate Office

Kaiser Permanente’s history dates back to 1933 in California when Kaiser and several other large construction contractors had formed an insurance consortium called Industrial Indemnity to meet worker compensation claims.

Today Kaiser Permanente is an integrated managed care consortium made up of three distinct entities: the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, and the autonomous regional Permanente Medical Groups.

Kaiser is the largest managed-care organization in the United States with 8.9 million health care members, 167,300 employees, 14,600 physicians, 37 medical centers, and 611 medical offices.
