Management is forcing servers to pay the dishwasher part of their tips. My son is still in high-school and works part time at a very small Huddle House in Cedartown. The dishwasher makes over 7 an hour. My son makes I believe around 2.14 (I know it’s close to this amount or is the amount) an hour plus tips. The other night my son worked 6 hours and made 20 in tips. He was then forced by Management to pay the dishwasher 5 dollars of his tip money. Along with the other servers that night. My son told me that he has to pay the dishwasher every shift he works. Do the math, he’s not even earning minimum wage according to what he made the other night. How is this right? Why are they allowed to force my son to pay part of someone else’s salary? I was very upset by this. Apparently this has been going on for over a month. My son is barely making anything. He will be working a 2 week notice, but what about the other servers working? What about the others who are forced to pay like this? I have no idea who to turn to about this. But if enough people will stand up against this, change could be made. Anyone who knows this place, knows how small it is, which means they aren’t getting enough customers to make enough tips in the first place. From what I understand scheduling is an issue, which means to many servers during the shift.
I went on the DoorDash app to place a pick up order but the store in Vance, AL turned the device off. I called for 20 minutes before Donna Snow picked up and asked me to hold. I drove there hearing her take orders for people walking in. Took me 10 min to get there and she still had not returned to the phone. I watched her take orders of new people that came in still not returning to the phone. Then she asked who was there first and I held up my phone saying I was since I had been on hold for 17 min. She got an attitude and began taking the order of someone who had just walked in. Then she refused to take my order. When I asked for a managers name she said to tell him she needs more help. Lack of “help” doesn’t justify poor customer service. I ended up with no food to take my meds which is chemo therapy since it’s the only place around. I’ll have to skip a dose or I will be sick at work if I take it without food. Thanks a lot Donna.

Huddle House in Barnwell is the WORST!!!! Horrible Manager( her name is Jessica i think), All but one or two of the Servers are Terrible, Everyone that works there complains, cut up, cuss out loud. The Manger shows favortism. She over works her employees. The food isnt the best. Its just an awfull addition to the city of Barnwell. The only people who ever eat there are picky, stuck up, and rich. They also allow this discusting old guy named Bearl to come in there and he coughs without covering his mouth, and he begs and always wants something for free, he only eats if some sap comes in they buy him somthing. ive seen people give this guy wads of cash and only leave a dollar for a tip. Huddle House in Lake City SC needs to do us all a favor and close the doors for good! Huddle House went to sh*t since franchise owners that not give a sh*t about how and who runs their business. I think if I was going to invest in a restaurant that I would apply myself to who worked for me that the restaurant would stand up and operate like it was done so many years ago, 24/7. Not have them make their own hours or stop letting people dine in but only take out whenever they felt like it cause they don’t want to wait tables or wash dishes. I pray that Lake City closes that huddle house and a damn Waffle House Or IHOP would open! Literally disappointed in the sh*tty service and company that Huddle House is now!! It’s sad that the Huddle house in moncks corner south Carolina,has a cook named Laura.Let me be not the only person to complain about her food.The grits was so nasty that you could pick them up with your fingers.They we’re hard.Along with all the other food she cooked.They need to do something with this cook or this place is going to loose alot of return faithful customers.
It’s so sad what’s happening to these restaurants. I remember 10 years ago going into a Huddle House and having a welcoming memorable experience. Now, the 2 locations nearest to me and my family are owned by a family that has employed family members and family is managing. These locations are in Springfield and Rincon, GA. One of the waitresses was so rude and disrespectful to my family and I at the Rincon location. All over us attempting to take chairs off of a table that was in the open section of the restaurant, other half was closed, lady named Amber, she was very sassy and yelling at us that the table was closed and when I kindly said we’d like to sit at this table she yelled again TABLE IS CLOSED!! I said ok we are leaving. She yelled BYE!! Like leave, go! It was surprising and disturbing being treated this way. Hope corporate does something about these complaints. Seems to be a reoccurring thing all over. Eventually there won’t be any huddle houses left with this kind of customer service. Both locations near are not very clean either. Springfield location had old dirty dishes on every table one night my daughter and I went to eat. I couldn’t believe that no one came to clean any of the old dishes the entire time we were there. I’d never seen anything like it. Disgusting. We hoped the Rincon location would be better but was met with HORRIBLE customer service. I’d recommend finding somewhere else to dine. I will not be returning to either of these locations.
I loved huddle house but the one in Tallassee sucks they have a family working and running it the manager works every now and then and he has his assistant manager is his little sister and next shift is another sister that messes everything up she cusses the customers out and does not let the help clean this restaurant is in need of a manager bad it could be a great place wish they would let me run it it’s so bad that the town knows them and they keep help they dont have 3rd shift every day it closes when they want to .My girl works there and she can’t even get them to get her a pay check stub I’ve wrote corporate a thousand times and still haven’t heard back .
Went to Huddle house in Hamilton Alabama . Walked in at 9:05 pm got our drinks 15 min later finally got to order then I was finally able to get our waitresses attention to see if we could get a refill on soda mind you this is at 10:30 pm she has not been back to our table since she took the order and we still did not have our food there were 5 tables including our 1 table were already eating the 2nd was getting their food the 3rd had drinks but had been waiting so long they just asked for theirs to go then us an a table came in later. So she walks to our table I mention we have been trying to get her attention she tries to say we’ll im busy mind you she has NOT CHECKED ON ANY OF THE TABLES I then said really your not busy and she proceeded to go off on me saying how rude that was and she refused to serve us our drinks or our meal so well over an hour of waiting still no food. Then she asked if we wanted a refund I was like on what we haven’t gotten our food yet she says good then we are done here and you can leave. The waitress said her name was (Savanah) worked the closing shift on 11-06-2021 . Oh and to top it off the table that came in after we did she asked them if they wanted their food to go because they close at 11 pm. (FYI SOMEONE SHOULD INFORM SAVANAH IT IS NOT HYGIENIC TO CONTINUE TO BRUSH YOUR HAIR BEHIND THE COUNTER WHERE THE FOOD IS BEING PREPARED)
My friend and I went to the Huddle House in Grayson Kentucky on July 19 2021. The service there was terrible. Had to wait for quite a while for someone to take our order. Even the drink order took longer than it should have. The restaurant was not busy that day at the time we were there but we still had to wait for someone to clean off the table. We looked at menus and it showed picture of hamburger steak with mashed potatoes. The menus photo showed the meal with mushroom gravy but never said anything about the gravy being charged extra for. When we received the bill there was 2 $1.99 charges on there for the gravy. There was also flies in the restaurant that we had to fight off. The menus never said anything about an extra charge for gravy. The photo clearly showed that meal with gravy. If I’m ever in this area or anywhere there is a Huddle House you can be sure that I will never go to Huddle House again. I also will tell everyone about my experience with these restaurants and how they rip people off and how bad the service was.

My fiance and I went to the huddle house in Bennettsville south Carolina, and there was the rude and we felt discrimination. It was 2pm in the afternoon and there was white people being served but they told us they was closed for 20 minutes. I worked in the food industry for 35 years and I never treated anyone like that.There is no excuse for that kind of behavior, trying to patronize that restaurant but I promise God and myself I won’t ever step my feet there again. Their doors should be shut for good.The owners need to spy on their employees to see how they treat black people in Bennettsville South Carolina.

Before the COVID pandemic we were getting a Huddle House built in the city of Selma AL.
We were so excited about having a nice restaurant to eat at but now all the work on the building has stopped. I am hoping that you have not discontinued or decided not to come to Selma Alabama. We hope you are still planning on finishing the building and opening up soon.
This is to all of you that Have had a bad experience with the huddle House restaurant chain .I am so sorry that you have had that kind of experience. From where I live in Pennsylvania I have to drive 45 minutes to an hour to the Huddle House that is closest to me which is in Mount Morris PA not sure if it’s franchised around or corporate I’m just wanting to let corporate and others know that every time I’ve been to the Huddle House in Mount Morris Pennsylvania it’s been a wonderful experience service is good food is awesome I wish they would put a Huddle House in Uniontown Pennsylvania zip 15401 .. our area is growing and we need a Huddle House love love their food .. yes and I agree with one of the persons with the bad experience corporate does need to send mystery shoppers into these locations and find out what’s going on I myself I was a manager of a few restaurants in my time and I do agree we had mystery shoppers come to our location a few times a month and I definitely had a clean restaurant staff with employees that love their job and made sure customer service was top priority and I myself as a manager I was out there with my servers helping with there are tables to provide excellent customer service . And this is for the record if huddle House would come to my area I would definitely get back into the restaurant management and work for them because I love their food and what they stand for providing good food good service clean restaurant and the location in Mount Morris PA has always given me good service and I paid attention to what service the servers were giving others as well . My fiance and I went to Huddle House in Mascoutah, IL. on June 9th, 2021. We waited 25 minutes before we were acknowledged. People were walking in ordering after us and got their food immediately. We waited almost 45 minutes to get ours.
When food arrived it was cold and very undercooked. Bacon was raw, hashbrowns severely undercooked. I ended up sick. The cook said he was the manager. He had a bad attitude towards me. He asked me what do you want me to do about it.
I told him I wasn’t paying for bad food. He said whatever and walked away.
I say to all black people never got to the Hubble house on braindead rd i went there and I got treated like I was black the same way the lil old lady be hind me feat when we had been sitting there waiting for someone to take mine and her orders for 40mins but something we wrong when two white people came in and right away got there oder took and seated this was done in Chattanooga TN
Why can’t you just have a sausage omelet on the menu in stead of having to pay for every thing separate ? we order a sausage omelet and we are told that you don’t have a sausage omelet ;but , we can order a cheese omelet with out the cheese and order sausage separate.

There open but have chairs blocking the entrance with a sign on them that says online orders only ok. Can’t place an order on line and nobody has been picking up the phone at all today.

The new Huddle House in Pell City Alabama is horrible we went in at lunch time one waitress all tables nasty wasn’t busy but I could see why .She sprayed table and said we would have to wait. So we left. The last time we were it took forever to get food. Probably won’t go back. So disappointed with this being a new restaurant to the area.

Corporate really needs to pop in the H.H. in Graniteville. SC. Its ridiculous. Always dirty tables and the staff is very lazy. It should not take 30 minutes to just order food and most of the time its wrong. Then the H.H. in Aiken, SC on Aiken Augusta Hwy has some horrible waitresses. I walk in and the first thing she does is snap about a damn mask when everyone else doesn’t have one on. My family won’t ever be back to either one. I find it rude for any restaurant to charge any person for items they do not want and your company is one of those who does this everyday. Example: I go for breakfast all I want is Eggs, meat and toast not potatoes or grits or other extras. So why am I expected to pay for them even when I tell the waitress not to send it out? This is what is called highway robbery or stealing from your customers. So if all I want is a hamburger why am I still paying for fries?

We went to the huddle House in Cleburne, tx. It was a terrible experience. There were bugs , the service was trying to swat flies, the service was really bad, and the dishes were dirty. they were putting there hands on the food moving the food around on the plates. your going to get sick at this huddle house. Worst experience ever at Huddle House in Brewton, Alabama tonight we arrived at 7:10 PM and waited 20 minutes for a waitress to greet us. She got our drinks and we ordered then we waited and waited. we waited an hour and a half to get our food and they were not even crowded. I was watching the cook and he threw away 2 pans of eggs and acted like he was on something The bacon was burnt and the Grits weren’t fit to eat. My eggs were not over easy like I ordered but I ate them because I was hungry. It was the slowest worst experience I’ve ever had.
So I went to Huddle House in Franklin, VA 23851 Friday, Dec. 6, 2019 at approximately 8:15 p.m. The place was full of people, but that’s not unusual. The waiter said they only had one cook and it would be a few minutes. That few minutes went into 2 hours. First of all, they were out of grits, then tea. I asked the waiter what could I substitute for the grits TWICE and she never responded. Then I heard them tell a table of customers that they were out of something else. People started leaving. After an hour and a half, my friend and I walked out. She only said SORRY. I want to talk to someone in corporate. This was unacceptable and they didn’t even say, come back tomorrow and you can get a free meal or a free coupon. This is sooooo wrong. And yes, this will be put on facebook and I will file a complaint with the BBB.
My husband and two sons often eat breakfast at HH on Saturday . Each time it gets just a little bit worse. Today 11/9/2019 they ordered and waited for an hour. The fly’s are so bad you have to constantly fan them away. The employees are friendly but very unskilled. The turnover of waitresses and cooks is unreal. My husband and I went out last week around 7 pm for a coupon special for 2 double cheeseburgers and fries. We waited almost an hour and when our food came it was a single CB we brought it to the attention of the waitress. She corrected the mistake. Another time when my food came it was burned ( bun and burgers were black ) and could not chew it. I sent it back. The cost of your coffee is outrageous. Trust me if this keeps happening the only patrons you will get are late night people. This HH is located at Potosi, Mo. My husband and our sons have already decided they will go to another place in town on Saturday since prices are comparable and more space for seating. I really feel sorry for the owner of this franchise. I realize the prices of food and drink is corporate set but in the end it is the owner who will be the loser. So much for my complaint. I’m sure it won’t go much further than this. Oh and I just read the complaints from around the country. It seems to be an ongoing problem at all your franchise restaurants. Thanks

I was called to talk to the manger Alice at the cape Girardeau restaurant for my kids dad they said she ran to store an gave me to the head chef said her name was key she gets on phone with attitude not hello hey nothing automatically says why you not coming in exact words after I heard another girl telling her someone was wanting talk to Alice over the employee I tell her our daughter is still in hospital in critical condition she got an attitude with me so I called back a few minutes later to get the number for corporate she got another attitude an wouldn’t give me the number an didn’t wanna give me her name at first could hear her talk in back ground and was cussing then told me she was in charge because the manger wasn’t there the whole time with nothing but attitude and then hung up on me and even while dinning there the employees are always cussing an even cuss the customers pretty bad your daughter might have to have emergency surgery and all they wanna do is be rude and cuss people like who cares something is wrong with your child they need to teach them to respect others or replace them all no wonder people walk out there freaking disrespectful and ride something needs to be done!!

I visited the Monroeville Al Huddle house on 9/22/19.I ordered 2 bacon cheeseburger combos..We waited for hour or so..The food was extremely cold..So I decided to ask for a remake..The cooked refused to remake it..Stated he just cooked it.I kindly stated that the food was cold..I proceeded to speak with the cashier asking the same question..She pointed to the cook..I’m not sure Of his issue but all times your job is to remain professional..In order to run a professional business you have to provide business minded coverage..I’m very concerned about the management because the hospitality question her level of professionalism..I believe if cameras are properly watched some of this bad customer service would cease…
My family went to hh in Bracey Va.. aprox.7:30pm. My oldest son ordered mvp when it came to out table there was a green fly (cooked )with his bacon on his plate,sausage gravey was dried up and biscuits were hard as a rock,my daughter in law and i got the hamburger n gravey with mushrooms and green beans hamburgers were burnt and dried out green beans were brown and old bitter tasting, my other son had a cheesesteak sandwich it was good with fries but while eating a fly flew in to his ketchup and got stuck in it .showed flies and quality of food to waitress and she acted like she could care less,flies were terrible in there,food was horrible place should be shut down

hello, I was in the hh in Andrews Saturday evening between,5:00 to 6:00 as every Saturday evening with my friends we gather there before the dance and we range in the age around 65 to 80 years of age. we ordered and while we were waiting we were bothered with flies and nats to the point that we ask for a fly swat and the staff got mad then when we got our order my friends bacon on her blt was almost raw and my hamburger steak looked pretty good from the outside but inside was very raw I sent it back then my bp was not done either so I sent it back they brought it back after 5 minutes and it was burnt on the backside I didn’t say anything so I ask for a cup of coffee and the creamer I put in it was blinked and I called for the waitress to get another cup of coffee she did but was grumbling under her breath and was giving us bad looks so we just decided to not say anything else because the young waitress who had tatoos all over her, might start something so I picked up the bill and she had rang my hamburger steak up and canceled it I ask why and she went off and said she had the right to not serve anyone and that she wanted us out of there and snatched the bill from my hand I called the manager his number was on the wall and we left he said that he would fix things and that we didn’t have to pay. well since then ive had the diarrhea so bad that I cant stay off the commode, something has to be done

WE left & hooked up to our Motor Home & left for I95 North. When we stopped at the exit 1 in SC-visitor Center, my husband threw up for THREE HOURS & slept for 4 hrs. The next day I took my husband to MED URGENT CARE IN North CHARLESTON SC on Dorchester Rd. My husband
(82 yrs old) was dehydrated & had a fever & chill. The DR diagnosed it as FOOD POISONING most likely the SAUSAGE. We had identical breakfast except I had extra grilled Bacon. The Urgent care gave him fluids in an IV & prescribed a nausea script to be taken before meals . Dr Neal said it may take 2-3 days to feel better. He slept for two days & had a fever & chills. “Please investigate this Restaurant and I hope no one else has gotten sick on that sausage.

I am sending this email in regards to Melanie Hill. She is a server at the Huddle House in Huffman, Texas. I first want to say that if she knew that I was doing this she would be very upset with me: but since I am actually a loyal customer also, I feel it is my responsibility to enlighten your corporate office as to the concerns I have myself at this location.
I have stood by for the last seven months and watched and heard many things that are unsettling. I have also at the same time gotten to know a few of the employees. These women are the reason I am there for breakfast and lunch almost every day. They have my respect because I have seen them give their hearts and souls to making this Huddle House a great place. These ladies care enough to stay even when they feel like their hands are tied.
With that being said, I am wondering why, within all these months has Corporate Headquarters not intervened. Melanie has shown me on a daily basis pictures of countless health code violations and have listened to her tell me about her Manager. I have repeatedly asked her to let me help them but have been told that the good guys will win in the end so it’s not necessary.
Well, not today! Melanie came home Friday with the last story I am going to hear and not intervene. I care about this woman and I see how much she cares about this place and how hard she works. I hove gotten to know others too. Karen and Valerie and Marlon are great people.
I really would love to know why it is okay for your employees to be bullied and discriminated against by the Manager? Why they get a raise and then a pay cut? Why they become a manager and not get to show their worth? Why do I hear stories of this Manager changing their time? I am a business man myself and I know this is against the law. And this is the question that has led me to contact you….
WHEN IS IT OKAY FOR AN EMPLOYEE TO COME IN TO WORK SEVERAL HOURS EARLY AND SIT DRUNK AT THE COUNTER IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS? HAS ANYONE FROM CORPORATE BEEN PAYING ATTENTION? DO YOU NOT REALIZE HOW INJUSTLY THESE EMPOLOYEES ARE BEING TREATED? THEY ARE BEING SLANDERED BY THEIR MANAGER AND TREATED WRONG!!
I realize that this is a franchise and is privately owned but you are ultimately responsible for making sure this location represents you properly. Something needs to be done immediately if you care about these employees. From my understanding these owners and the people that work for them and oversee the restaurant are fully aware of this situation and know these people are being treated unfairly…even see all on the cameras but nothing is being done.
I am the GM of a new business here in Huffman and I am very unsettled by what I see and hear. This is a very serious situation and I hope that someone from your headquarters takes notice immediately!
i signed up and spent 20 minutes filling out the huddle house app. i was promised a free birthday meal on which i turned 53 yesterday. 07/06/1966. i called my local huddle house and after an hour i finally got to speak to a human. which in turned he didn’t have a clue about your app. I’m soo disappointed. i have been going to that huddle house since they opened the doors 20 years ago. what a joke. I’m so pissed i will never step foot in that hell hole again. if you want to waste your time and mine you can call me

I have a complaint on a manager at Veterans BLVD in Tupelo MS the manager they call Dom love to cuss out the women servers in front of customers and other employees. I have made my wife Laura Sartin quit her job over this guy she has been with huddle house for a very long time and I think it’s very sad. If nothing is done my 2 daughters or going to join my wife and quit no one deserves to be put down like a dog in front of customers or employees. She has been with you guys 12 years I don’t know how long he has been there but it’s not right or fair Thank You loving ex-customer
