Your Front Royal VA restaurant is supposedly being re-set. The reset includes a photocopied menu with four entrees, 4 kids options, 4 appetizers. No soups, side salads, deserts-though supposedly 2 desserts are available.
I hadn’t been there since we arrived planning to use the birthday promo received in July 2020 and found it completely closed. The hotel assured us there were restaurants and a walmart up the road.
This visit was on Sunday 8/8 around 6pm. I was still there two hours later having waited close to an hour for the chicken breast entree with two sides. The entree was, as I remembered delicious. I was relieved that the kitchen had not thrown the vegetables on the plate while they cooked the chicken and everything was hot. But the huge in tact branch of broccoli couldn’t be cut with the table knife.
The manager replaced the broccoli -to go. A kids mac & cheese was prepared as ordered.
Several hours later I presented the “treat” of restaurant mac and cheese to 2 kids who would willingly eat it three meals a day and a minute later had both crying about burning their mouth. Since it had then been several hours since I’d put it on ice in the cooler and their patience didn’t include heating it up I tried some and discovered it was highly spicy-flavorful to begin with but within a minute I felt what they meant Given -some kids grow up on spicy, if that’s what you offer-let us know. $10 to throw dinner to the chickens down the road is absurd. Actually considering you could buy a wash-bucket of mac and cheese for $10 it would be ridiculous even if edible.
I used to consider my dinners here a treat which I probably only enjoyed half-a dozen times a year. Right now, your options are absurdly minimal, your prices have gone up and I don’t have 2-3 hours to devote to a one course meal. If you were busy that is one thing but there was a party of 4 and a single there when I arrived and another foursome and a couple there when I left.
I had the impression after the 2020 birthday fail that you wee gliding toward a new logo of a closed fist with the middle finger extended. After this I suspect that would be far to subtle.

hello i have been eating at Houlihans for over 20 years, i go to different locations in new jersey. most of the time i am very satisfy with my meals. Today Sept 22, 2019 I was very upset when i Got my salad to hear that the restaurant has changed its delicious tasting thicker Garlic Ranch dressing for a water down version that has NO flavor i was disgusted because i could not even enjoy my salad. Why take away a GREAT thing?????? If your trying to have a less calorie base dressing than make the a option for those who want that BUT PLEASE BRING BACK THE GARLIC RANCH DRESSING!!!!!!!!! thanks!

In reviewing the comments, Houlihans need some new direction on customer services and employee relations.
We will not eat or patron at the ARLington, Texas location anymore.
My daughter is a teenager worked there and when she mentioned she was resigning, the manager told her I can do you one better and hung up on her.
Another employee text her to let her know the manager let her go. Unprofessional and she was never told she was fired. She was putting in her two weeks notices.
A grown man acting childish.
I want an apology and I am making a complaint to EEOC.
HOULIHANS get your house in ORDER!!!

Houlhans Hershey PA branch are thieves. What do you call a Manager, who when contacted about a left article (in this case an Amazon Fire tablet) tells you that it can’t be sent back to you. Sounds like a person who wants it for themselves. This manager in question is named Christine and she works in the Hershey PA branch. People visiting Hershey, DON’T GO HERE. This incident occurred on 5/6/18. The front of the restaurant is rude, disrespectful, and don’t give a crap about you. My grandchildren took my fire tablet from my purse and left it on the seat. I didn’t realize this until we were two hours down the road. When I called I was basically told that it sounded like a personal problem. They weren’t responsible for left items. Mind you, we had just spent approximately $700 for lunch. I waited 2 weeks and called again. Tablet was still there, promised a call back but nothing. I don’t know about you but as a senior citizen, I can’t afford to drop $200 to replace a tablet that could easily be sent back. LAZY and RUDE!!!!! The worst part is, I was visiting my kids in Maryland and I live in Georgia. I tried to contact the corporate office but now I see where the team franchises get their work ethics. They don’t answer calls and they really don’t give a crap either. I would tell everyone to stop going to Houlihans. I’m going to do everything I can to make this viral. I WANT MY FIRE TABLET RETURNED!!!!!!!!! Here’s a new one. I’m trying to post this and I was told it looks as though I already said this. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!!

Greetings. It has been some time. Let me start by saying, I hate that people don’t address the challenges while they are in the restaurant. My theory is, if you don’t say anything right then and there….you got what you deserved. People need to know they have a challenge so they can address it immediately if not sooner. But I was a guest. I was paying for the meal, we were beaning treated to a night out, and a birthday celebration for one of our grand children’s birthday. I didn’t want to say anything, if my daughter didn’t want op say anything at the time. So,…Ticket # 188, waitstaff person: Edith. Appetizer:Stuffed Mushrooms…cold. Normally the centetr of mushrooms is ‘molting’ hot. Over all service was very slow. The Garland store was busy, but not packed. Service from bar ( wine / beer ) was very slow. I mentioned to waitstaff person. this is TOO SLOW. I believe she may have forgotten our drink order. The men’s was filthy. PVC plastic pipe cover was on floor. Water was everywhere. My other theory is if the bathroom is dirty…so is the kitchen. I have been on the supply side of the business my whole life. No need to contact me. If Murray or Karenia are still there….tell them I said Hi. My wife and I both said to each other as we walked out…. we won’t be coming back here. Not compiling about the dollars spent. There is no good excuse for cold food or the restaurant not being clean. There are just too many choices in this market, to try Houlihan’s again. I will mention this on FB as well.

Just a shout out to Restaurant Manager Tom Mahon at your Holmdel NJ location. During dinner wife accidentally spilled glass of wine which was dealt with most efficiently by wait staff but few minutes later Tom showed up to ask if spill was taken care of and then said he had asked waitress to replace the wine which would be comped.
While we thought his concern and comping the wine was very nice, like to add for last few years have eaten at Holmdel about 10 times a year and always found Tom to be very courteous, friendly and helpful- and always seems busy!
We feel he goes the extra mile to make Houlihan’s even more enjoyable!

I’ve been a Houlihans club member for a couple of years now and last year, as well as this one I did not receive my birthday coupon! My twin sister recieved hers, but for whatever reason Houlihan has not been sending mine. Please help! It’s supposed to expire today, so we’re going so she can use hers, but I don’t have mine. It’s not fair.

2 friends and I dined at the Q Casino in Dubuque, Iowa. We had 1 drink and had dinner. After our meal, the manager comes to our table and asked for one of our party members to come with her. Had no idea what this was about. When she returned to our table she proceeded to tell us that she was pulled into the back office, where she was reprimanded for “touching” an employee inappropriately. Before our dinner was brought to our table, my friend had to use the restroom. Not knowing where the restroom was, she stopped to ask the male Host where the rest rooms were located. He happily advised and she graciously patted him on his shoulder to thank him for the information. The reason she was brought to the office was because the male server didn’t “feel
Comfortable” with her touching him. Never in my 51 years, as a professional Executive Chef have I ever seen such embarrassing service. We weren’t drunk, we weren’t loud, we were gracious middle aged women who went to have some dinner. I exchanged words with the manager and explained to her how very embarrassing their behavior was, and how very wrong they were. We will never support this company again. Not ok with this behavior/complaint against a patron for showing kindness to someone who was helpful. Shameful and embarrassing. Never will we return and I will be sure to communicate my absolute disappointment to the corporate office. No good.

The Salmon was under cooked for my liking I told the waitress and the manager, I think she’s the manager came out to talk to me. Christie told me it was her fault and will make me and meal and take the cost of my meal was taken off my bill. She was extremely kind and I received my meal and took it home, it was great!!! I’m writing this email because it was so kind of Christie and she was so sweet I had to write this email to let you know you have a awesome employee.
