I am so disappointed and really disgusted with Hobby Lobby at this point. I’ll be honest that their Christian beliefs and how that affected their employees already made it very difficult to shop here. However I know I’m not the only person who goes into a hobby lobby with some guilt to begin with. Putting that aside, I will say that in the locations around my area, and as the customer service lady just told me, there are no electric scooters at any hobby lobby. They do offer a wheelchair that the customer has push on their own. That’s a very strong assumption that your disabled guests are only disabled from the waist down. I spoke to a manager at the store and someone on the customer service line, who suggested I bring my own scooter. If I had that, this wouldn’t be an issue but obviously those are pricey to purchase and you would still need help getting it out of the car and so much more. Lastly, I’d just like to add that a corporation with an openly strong Christian belief she be much more inclusive to all possible customers. I hate to say this because I believe hobby lobby has much more options then their competitors, but I will no longer shop at a store willing to take my money but with no understanding how difficult my recent 4 hour time there using the worthless wheelchair that they offered.

My son just walked in (as the web site tells you to) and applied at the new Fairfax, VA location and was greeted by a RUDE African American lady who was conducting the interviews. If she treats he possible future employees like this , I can only imagine how she treats her customers?? I told my son to apply elsewhere. He stated she was only there until 5 and seem to rush people in and out?? Sadly I like your store and shop there often—–this lady has changed my mind.

To who it may concern,
I recently fell in love with your store during a trip to Texas.
I saw an article from July 2018 from pymts.com about Hobby Lobby possibly coming to Delaware and hopefully taking residence at the old Toys r us location in Newark Delaware .
I wanted to inquire if their is any update of a new store in Delaware.
Thank you for your time.

I was attempting to check out online on hobbylobby.com. I put my credit card info in & it was requesting expiration month & year but there is no line or no place to pick the month or year so I am not able to complete my order. I tried emailing customer service but was not able because it was requesting a “Subject” but there is no Subject Line to type into either. I am not able to complete my purchase & I am not able to email Customer Service.

I shop this store seeing its the closes to where I live. several times I have seen and heard and seen such unprofessionalism by management and CSMs, but this day was the worst,
The CSM Aleah, screaming at the top of her lungs at a cashier. and after talking to another cashier harlynn, that this CSM has had many complaints but nothing is ever done. Shame on everyone, from management to corporate for allowing this kind of cruelty to go on.

My complaint for your company is your store in Pensacola, Florida. I am a U.S. Navy veteran of 13+ plus years and have worked in around the Military my entire life. I am currently in Afghanistan on deployment as a contractor. I am on a long rotation which will keep me from being home for the holidays. I have a short R and R in January which i will be spending in Dubai, United Emirates. My girlfriend (25 yrs) and mother to our son who is an employee of your store in Pensacola requested vacation to come visit me while on R and R in Dubai. Her request was denied by her store managers for no particular reason other than January is a blackout month. I will be deployed a total of 7 months with this one break in January. She has been at this store for about 15 yrs and has a great track record and an excellent employee. I would think that a chain store such as yours would have some compassion for your people and their significant others. My girlfriends name is Alice Leathers. I hope that your corporation can maybe show some compassion and maybe look in to this matter. Thanks in advance!

Did you know this was going around on FB ? I received it from my cousin…I copied it to share with you….
Extremely disappointed with the management at Hobby Lobby in Hickory, NC. I will not shop at that store again and I will be contacting corporate first thing tomorrow. I took my dad and we browsed around, then dad found a book and went to the front and sat in a wheelchair while he waited for me to check out. Staff, management and many customers were all up front because the store was about to close. The whole time I was checking out (about 10 minutes), the store manager was talking with another staff member about my dad saying things like, “I don’t know why he talks like that, he must be drunk,” and “He better not be sitting there when we close, we’ll run him off” and all kinds of snickering remarks and whispers making fun of him. I guess they didn’t realize his daughter was standing right there. I’m pretty shocked and upset considering this is supposed to be a Christian store. Dad wasn’t bothering anyone. There was no reason for him to be openly judged so negatively, especially when people could hear. My dad is disabled from a severe stroke. His speech is impaired. I didn’t make a scene in front of my dad. I kept my composure and told dad it was time to go. He was looking through a coin collection book and I told him I’d buy it for him, so I did and he was so happy. But I’m sickened by such judgmental people. It’s a good thing my dad is hard of hearing so his feelings didn’t get hurt. How can you say these things in front of a bunch of customers? How can you disrespect the elderly like that? I’m asking you all to please share so that something is done about this so it doesn’t happen to others. And maybe think twice about shopping at this particular location especially if you have a disabled/elderly person with you. This is so wrong.
Edit:
I want to be clear that the entire staff is not at fault here. The cashiers who checked me out were wonderful (I made 2 separate purchases). The person who did most of the talking had dark hair & beard, was wearing a burgundy shirt (a different color than the other staff) and was the only one I saw delegating, which is why I assume he is a manager. I know many of you would have approached this differently, but I chose to walk away and be the better person because that is what my dad has always taught me. And I also didn’t need the added anxiety and I didn’t want to upset my dad. I love shopping at Hobby Lobby, but this particular experience at this location was unacceptable and that is why I’m sharing this on social media.

There is social media reports by a young family, particularly a young woman with a daughter, who said she was observed by four Middle Eastern men in the Biloxi, Mississippi location on May 18, at 5:28 PM. She said she took pictures of the men who she felt were threatening her because they looked at her and were in the store without shopping carts. She said first she went to the manager and then she said she later (3 days later) went to the manager with the picture and that the manager would review the video footage. The Biloxi Police Department didn’t take her call seriously?
Is this a valid threat to the safety of the shoppers at the Biloxi, MS Hobby Lobby Store? The local manager referred me to corporate after saying he was aware of the story on social media.
Is it safe to shop at your store(s)? This is not the first social media report of scary men lurking about. What is your procedure to ensure the safety of your shoppers?

I saw him take the sign off the door about the job when I was checking out. He’s not one I would let manage a store. I wasted my time taking the interview and his stupid math test. I have a couple of suggestions for Hobby Lobby buyers:
1. Purple Christmas ornaments and ribbon. I used to purchase them for my church a decade ago but purple has all but disappeared with the exception of a few very small tree ornaments. Traditionally in the Christian church, purple is the color for the season of advent so we have used it in our sanctuary, but it’s nowhere to be found anymore. (Real purple like the Crayola crayon purple.)
2. I enjoy the Christmas-themed covered tins that are in abundance during the holiday season. May I suggest tins for other times of the year? Winter, spring, patriotic, autumn.
Thank you for listening,

I just had my first experience with hobby lobby ever and went in to the lynnwood hobby lobby and almost as soon as we walked in the manager on shift and a few employees stereotyped us because we had a backpack and actually came up and actually accused us of stealing just because we were crouched down looking at something and they couldn’t see the objects still in my hand and so right when they approached and made the asusation I stood up and showed that the objects were still in my hand, but the manager continued with the asusation, even through showing that it was wrong, all the way to following us out of the store stating that we are banned for life

Well today I guess you just didn’t know what to do with all that COTTON. So someone had the Bright idea to DECORATOR A CHRISTMAS TREE with the COTTON, and some Daisy . IT IS THE UGLIEST Christmas Tree I have ever seen in my whole life. I’m 74 years old . I think it is a SHAME, and DISGRACE, for young, and old people to see that. IT IS IN THE FRONT OF THE STORE. I have a good mine to put a picture of it on FB. With all the BEAUTIFUL Christmas decorations you have in that store. With all the hate going HOW DARE YOU INSULT !! I am ashamed of you. TAKE THE TREE DOWN IE IS UGLE. I hope I hear from you soon.

I have been an avid fan of Hobby Lobby since first shopping there when I lived in Texas. I was so excited when Hobby Lobby stores came to California. My Hobby Lobby Store in Victorville is great. I love the staff and they go to great lengths to help the customers.
So what is my complaint? It is with the corporate Office. In my shopping at Hobby Lobby, and as a retiree of the United States Navy, I came across a charm made by Traditions, that is a rectangular charm with an anchor and the saying “Refuse to Sink”. I have always looked for something simple to give to other Service Members I meet to thank them for there service.
Once I found this charm, I bought 25. These were soon got. I bought 25 more, wit the same result. I then increased my order to 50. It was amazing the reaction I got from Veterans both male and female. They either wanted to put it on a chain, or a key chain. I have crossed paths with a few that want to show me that they still have the charm. It became so popular that I began ordering 100 at a time. After having purchased over 400 or a short period of time, I went in to place another order. At the date I was to pick them up I went into my friends at Hobby Lobby and they delivered the news that they were unable to fill the order that Hobby Lobby was no longer carrying the charm.
Upon learning this I called your offices and was told that no Hobby Lobby stores across the U.S. had them in stock. I again called trying to find a solution and even ask for the number of the manufacturer to see if I could obtain them through them if you are no longer carrying them. I was told that they could not give me this information. I can’t tell you how much this simple charm means to every member I have given them to. Can you find resolution by once again ordering these charms or can you put me in touch with the manufacturer. Please help the Veterans to have this simple reminder of never giving up. I still hold out hope you can resolve this for me. Thank you

Let me tell you, Hobby Lobby has the worst customer service ever! This company needs to spend more money on training their staffs to learn how to respect their customers! On August 16, 2017, 11:15a.m., I went to the Hobby Lobby located at the Eastland Mall in West Covina, CA, with my two daughters. We were the first customer in line at checkout. Unfortunately, all the registers were labeled CLOSED except the one for exchange and return. So we stood there waiting for someone who could help us. A staff named Gina was near the register doing something. She ignored us at the register not until I called her few times for help. She finally signal me to the exchange aisle. As usual, I had my daughters to stand behind me cuz we need to use the coupon. (The coupon is labeled per customer, not per family.) anyway, that lady named GINA didn’t let us use the coupon code twice, so I told her my daughter was consider as a customer and she paid cash. That lady kept saying this is against the company policy but she said she would let us do it this time. So I said thank you to her! Seriously, I was very polite to her. The next part piss me off the most! She kept murmuring and threw my stuffs into the shopping bags! That’s not the worst, she took my money and slammed shut the cashier so hard! My daughters were looking at me and asked me wbst was going on? At that moment, I was like, WTH! I’m the customer, I pay! I don’t think I derseve this kind of customer service! That lady didn’t know how to respect people, she was racial discrimination! I tried to calm myself down, because I still have my second transaction needed to be scan. Guess what? She purposeful not letting me using my coupon on my second transaction! So, I went online to the hobby lobby site to get another one. She keyed in the code and said the computer didn’t want to take my code! At the end, I had to pay full price on my purchases! This is ridiculous!

On June 2 2017 I went into the Hobby Lobby location @114 Pavillion Parkway, Fayettevile,Ga. My purpose was to purchase flowers for my mother’s grave. I was accompanied by my sister and her 10 year old daughter as wells as my 3 kids ages 2,3, and 10. Both of the 10 year old are girls. They asked to use the restroom .So we allowed them to use the restroom and we continued to shop. The girls returned from the restroom and we continued to shop for an additional 30 minutes or so. We were approached by the store manager who asked if she could place some of our larger items at the register while we continued to shop and she even advised us that there was a 66 percent off isle and directed us there. Shortly after we approached the check out. The manager came over again because one of my items was damaged. By the end of my transaction I had spend about $160 which I paid In CASH . My sister spent and additional $60. I have been a Hobby Lobby customer for 10+ years spending 10 of thousands of dollars there however it was my sister’s very first visit. We left the store and continued to shop in the Pavillion for at least an additional 2 hours. During this time the girls made another trip to the restroom which the closest location was at the Hobby Lobby. Later on that evening I received a call from a lady saying she was with Fayetteville Police asking was i at the Pavillion. The call came from a cell phone so my very 1st question was how did tou get my name and number which the officer refused to disclosed. However the person stated that the girls had played in glitter, glue and paint in the Hobby Lobby and had damaged 6 isles at the Hobby Lobby. She said that they were on video. She also demanded that I return to the store immediately. She demanded that I pay for the damages. I Advised that I would like to see that video and if the girls had done anything I would accept responsibility. However I also asked if there was an issue why wasn’t we stopped before we left the store. Why was the police called. The police also stated that the store manager said that the girls entered the store alone and was never accompanied by adults. So overall the manager intentions were for me to be arrested for something I had no knowledge of and as of today has yet to see the video of even after I requested to see it. However the officer demanded that I pay money or she would arrest me. Now the mystery of how did they get my information was solved immediately after I listened to the phone call over. The officer received the complaint from the Hobby Lobby manager , although we had left the store already the manager at hobby lobby continued to watch us!!!!! WHY ???? We didn’t steal anything , we paid in cash. We were profiled because of our RACE! At this point I can’t say if the girls made the mess or not because I didn’t see the video even after I asked. However I have always stated that i would accept responsibility if they did. The manager was able to tell the police which stores i went into after I left Hobby Lobby so this means if the mess was noticed after I left the store, she still knew where I was but she never said anything to me she called the police and tried to get me arrested. I’m am very disappointed how this incident was handled and more so how I was watched and profiled. Hobby Lobby in Fayetteville Ga has an issue with racial profiling.Race should never be an issue..All money is green! After this incident I will respectfully discontinue to patronize all Hobby Lobby stores. Also I will share my experience with all of my friends and clients who just so happens to be parents or friends of parents to.. I don’t wish this experience on anyone.

I worked at Hobby Lobby this past Christmas season. Nov 2016 thru Jan 2017. I have always loved to shop at Hobby Lobby and I was looking forward to working there. Its a christian company, Sundays off, I assumed people would be pleasant. WRONG.
I was asked to do tasks far beyond my physical limits with absolutely no thought from the management that I may be injured.I am 59 yrs old. I was in fact injured and now have numbness of one of my fingers from the constant heavy lifting as well as a permanent shoulder injury as a result of lifting 50 lb boxes up an 8 foot ladder and reaching over my head day after day. I also had and incident after I told management that my shoulder was injured and could they please give me the lighter loads to move on truck day and I was told ” everything is heavy its truck day”. We where told to go faster by other employees and basically treated like crap. Both managers where rude and never smiled even with customers. Myself and other part time employees worked 9-13 hr. shifts with only one 30 min break this happened often. One evening before inventory we where informed after we got there and expected we would be working as per the schedule until 10 pm, that we would be there until 2 or 3 am because this stuff HAD TO GET DONE!!!! Also one morning of inventory I woke up with a very bad headache and called in and was about 2 hrs late. I was then told that unless I was in the hospital I had to be in work. First of all I’m sure that’s also against the law! I was told that I they where going to keep me and a coworker after the Christmas season. Both of us where simply dropped off the schedule with no explanation and no notice from ANYONE. I have owned and operated many businesses and I have also worked other retail jobs in my life and I have never been treated so badly. There was NEVER a kind word or a” hey great job” NOTHING!
If I am asked I would tell anyone considering working for any Hobby Lobby to run!!!
I have family and friends who now wont go into that store because of how I was treated.
Someone should check this out. There is more to running a successful business than the almighty dollar.

My fiance and I have been shopping at hobby lobby for a while since it was built here in statesville nc and never had an issue with them until today. We enter the place and I notice the cashier staring at me pretty intensely. I look back and notice that he’s got on the store phone and is still staring as we are walking to the back of the store to where my fiance is headed. She loves shopping and could stay in hobby lobby for hours if she could, and sometimes she does planning things out and what not. We are getting our first place together so she likes planning things out etc. So she is shopping and I’m noticing that there are employees walking by the isles that we are in and then by the cart glancing in it. Somethings up. I tell her Jenny, these people think we are stealing stuff. She says yea right. So I notice they are still doing so. We eventually go to the front to cash out and notice there is a police officer at the front doors staring at us as we are cashing out. Knew right away what was going on but still couldn’t believe it. My fiance finally realized I was right. Officer walks over and demands to see ID. I ask what the problem is and the officer rudely states that they have video of us stealing. I say to the officer bs, there is no way because we would not EVER do such a thing. So I ask the officer, you mean to tell me that you have video proof of her stealing. .ie putting things in her bag or pocket? Then it devolved to well no, they have video of her putting things in her cart and then eventually placing them in other areas of the store when she decided not to buy them. I said, we’ll how is that stealing then? The manager then interjects and says well she puts back a lot of things and they couldn’t account for all of it. So it further devolved into well. .we don’t have proof but all we need is suspicion. Now let me get this straight, you don’t have any proof of theft. I told the officer you could have checked her any time and you would have found nothing because she doesn’t steal. She enjoys the act of shopping and putting things together, especially for our new place but she usually only ends up buying a few things. Yes, pain in the butt but nowhere does that constitute stealing or making a big scene in front of the store with police and management saying they have video proof of her stealing. Mind you in front of a line of customers making us look like thieves. They basically told us we were banned not for proof because they had none. .but all they needed was suspicion. I told the officer that I don’t even care about the store and wouldn’t shop there again if it was offered. .but, the fact that you made my fiance feel like a criminal and cry in front of a line of customers. We have a problem. I’m trying to contact corprate and thought I’d leave this here. I’m Christian. .this was not very Christian like of is corporation in my opinion.

On Saturday, March 4th, my friends and I went to your Harlingen TX store. We needed to pick up some school supplies for a project. We found everything we needed, on our own and headed to the front to pay. When we arrived at the front, we found 14 people in line in front of us with 1 checkout stand open. The manager and two other employees were standing very close and talking, not paying attention to the customers. As I approached and asked if they could get some other employees to help or if they could stop talking and open some checkout stands, I was told yes, but was also told they were talking about a customer, which I guess was intended to justify them ignoring the customers who were ready to pay and help them maintain their jobs. I approached the manager, who summoned 4 people from the back to get the customers taken care of, but the attitude of “Gloria” the manager, was not what I’m accustomed to at Hobby Lobby. I was disappointed and so were the many customers who witnessed my exchange and thanked me for asking for help, not just for one but all of us. I ask that you “Remember Me” your customer and get Gloria some training please. I want to maintain a customer but will not if we get the same treatment next time. Take a clue from the Chic-Fila-a across the street who does a great job.

My daughter works for Hobby Lobby and what should be a fun teenage time is a miserable experience for her. The managers don’t seem to care about the welfare of their employees. It’s sad when a parent has to call up and plead that their child be let off early due to being in severe pain and crying after she asked herself if she could just leave at close, technically not even “early” just at close. The response/attitude she received wasn’t very “Christian like” to say the least. And then said manager decided to ride the mean wave and yell at her for having her mom call up and “yell” at them. I didn’t yell that time, but you can bet I will the next time. This type of management is unacceptable and no one should wonder about turnover. At my request, she is looking for new employment because this part-time job is not worth the stress she is going through. Shame on you Hobby Lobby for not screening your managers better. Hire someone who cares about someone other than themselves.

I worked at a hobby lobby in Houston,Texas. In all my years of working retail, I have never had to work 17 hour days, I did this 3 to 4 times a week, and Saturdays as a manager you are have no relief for your lunches, which put you in the store for 15 hours with no break. Not to mention that assoicates are kept passed there scheduled time, begging to go home, management answers are you have to stay to get it done.Sometimes we would be in the store until 12am, it makes no sense doing relays and your truck during business hours this hurts customer service and your associates this hinders their ability to get their job done. The fact there no technology for your assoicates I have watched them struggle to get there job done and help customers.Christian store I don’t think so, I didn’t see my family during the holidays and Sunday church let’s see you work 15 16 17 hours on a Saturday and be able to get up and go to church on sunday.

I was driving by the Rancho Cucamonga, CA store when an 89 year old man, who was exiting Hobby Lobby, missed the curb and fell into the street in the shopping center. Blood was pouring from his face wound. As I called 911, we also had someone ask Hobby Lobby for help. The manager, Laura, and a few other employees were quick to respond by bringing a wheelchair, ice pack, etc. They also helped us call for emergency help. The manager responded to the situation with great composure and represented Hobby Lobby well. It was a great example of loving your neighbor!

Over the years I have spent thousands of dollars at Hobby Lobby. I love the vision and values of your company. However my experience at your Grove City, OH store on Wednesday, December 14 at or around 7:40 was horrible. My husband and I along with our 2 year grandchildren were in line to checkout. There was only 1 registersopen and the line was extremely long. We noticed 5 employees standing at the beginning of the registers. I asked “Are there any other register opened”? No one responded immediately. A few seconds later one lady which I later learned her name was LOIS. She walked toward the registers on the other side of the front door. She never offered to take any one of the customers waiting in line so I assume she was not going to open her register.
One of the other two cashiers asked her if she would open and she said (paraphrasing) I am but no one is coming over. We walked over to her and explained that we did not realize she had opened her line/register. I apologized for make her do her open but the line was long and it is very frustrated to customers, especially this time a year, to see only 2 registers open and other employees talking to each other.
She proceed to tell me they were talking to the store manager. I said that actually makes it worse knowing the manager was a witness to the line and she proceed to let the line grow longer with no reaction. Lois then continue to tell me they had a store issue. I do understand and can appreciate the need to speak with employees at any given time during the day. However, I am sure there is a better place to conduct a “Meeting” than in the front of the store where there are frustrated customers.
Lois continued to ring out my purchases. I had my cell phone opened and ready for her to use the 40% coupon and she completely ignored me until was ready to accept payment. I had to remind her that I had a coupon. She then, very rudely I may add, discounted my purchase. I mentioned to my husband that maybe we should have waited until 7:55 to checkout so we would not have had to wait in line. Lois said yes you probably should have because we have as many registers open as possible so we can get out of here.
I finished my transaction and she said again very rude and sarcastic “Well have a nice Christmas”
When I was walking out the door I noticed my receipt was wrong. I had purchased a pattern and it was rang at full price. I went back into the store and to Lois’s register. No I did not stand back in line (Due to the length and the fact it was not my error) as I walked back to Lois at the register, I heard her tell the customer she was waiting on about our altercation. VERY, VERY bad customer service…. I did interrupt her with her customer when I said “You charged me wrong for the pattern’ I should have waited until she finished with the customer but again, I did not want to wait. She picked up the sales ad and studied to see if it was actually on sale. I reminded her that it is an everyday discount of 40%. She told me to go to register 3 or 4 for a refund. So now I am waiting in line again….
I am waiting in line and a cashier with long straight strawberry blonde hair, I did not catch her name due to the fact her back was to me, yelled a crossed the registers and said “Lois, did that lady yell at you” Funny thing was she did not realize I was standing right behind her. If Lois replied, I did not hear her. However, the customer she was waiting on was very happy to say and point to me that she is still right there and yes she did. One I never raised my voice, cursed at her or drew attention to our conversation. Two, I never asked to speak to the manager I was just going to chalk it up to a bad experience. But when a customer starts yelling at me and telling me I am a bad person and everyone at the registers are looking at me, it was as very embarrassing situation for me.
I told the customer who pointed me out that it was not her business and that she did not see how rude Lois was to me when I first checked out. Regardless I received my refund with no problem and the cashier was very polite. I sure she was as uncomfortable as I was at that point.
I will continue to shop at Hobby Lobby and I will return to the store in Grove City. However, I would expect disciplinary action for Lois and maybe a course in customer service.

Yes, This is ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS. BOTH the manager AND the cashier should be personally counselled. I had a similar bad experience with a back talking, rude assistant manager linda at Jensen beach in Florida on new years eve. 12/31/16

David and Barbara Green, I have a serious complaint about two managers in the Lake Charles, La. store, Darlene and Veronica. I have shopped in the store on different occasions and each time I’m there I witness them talking to the cashier and floor employees as if they are worthless. It is unprofessional, unnecessary and ungodly for Darlene and Veronica to speak to them that way. My understanding is Hobby Lobby is a Christian owned store, but you have two devils destroying the environment. They don’t have God’s Love in their heart if they have no care for their employees. They have no knowledge or skills of being a manager. You need to take care of this situation immediately before you lose all your customers and employees for the ignorance of unknowlegable managers that think only their jobs are secured. The management of this store is giving you a bad name in the community. On the other hand, your cashiers and floor workers have the greatest personalities. BAD MANAGERS
Fred says
Hobby Lobby Manager in Colorado Springs physically assaulted a customer. Accused him of shoplifting had no proof. Cops were called and young man was released but video caught the manager physically dragging this kid across the floor to the back. Another manager named Scott tried to order us out of the store without cause because we were video taping this very apparent physical assault on a customer accused of doing something that he didn’t do. This is supposed to be a Christian store but apparently they hire people that cant be trusted in a position of management. Unless these managers are fired we will never go back into this store again. ALL OF THIS WAS CAUGHT ON VIDEO.
Alexis O'Hara says
I saw this video and am OUTRAGED at the actions of BOTH the managers shown.
Something needs to be done! The individual should file assault charges and see if Hobby Lobby will pay attention to THAT.
MIke says
The kid was asked to leave the establishment. In the same way a business can refuse to serve anyone, it is their right to ask someone to leave. In the same way that you would remove someone who was standing in your living room behaving inappropriately, you would do the same in your store. Furthermore, the video didn’t even get the beginning of what occurred, so you really have no justice to say the kid was not wrong. Either way, the kid was asked to leave and he didn’t.

Hobby lobby in Port Arthur, Texas has some of the rudest managers I’ve ever had to deal with. My friend rented a candlelabra from them for a wedding, when it was returned they asked for the original recipe/paperwork. I was unaware of such paperwork and that it needed to be present for deposit to be refunded. I asked my friend if she had the papers they were asking for bacause I was told “they didn’t have a copy”. I bet if the candelabra was never returned to them that they’d have the paperwork to refer to. They were very unprofessional and the store manager was rude. The bride was unable find the requested paperwork, so they’re going to keep the deposit. We will never rent from any hobby lobby ever again.

I have been a frequent shopper at the Baytown Texas Hobby Lobby for years. As an event decorator , I shop here at least once a week. My complaint is about how filthy the women’s bathroom is. I have said something to the Checkers more than once, and they always agree and tell me the manager cleans the bathroom. It seriously needs updating!! The locks on the stalls don’t work and have been like this for years. I can tell Hobby Lobby takes pride in their stores, so I would think this would be an important issue as well. I know I’m not alone in thinking this.
Thank you!

Dear Admin…I’m know I’m not the only fan of Hobby Lobby , and you get request of many people to open in their area. Our area has grow tremendously over the last years and we don’t have any significant hobby stores in our location. We travel to a neighboring town, …for those who have crafting businesses and can make the trip only occasionally, we constantly struggle with materials needed for our customer projects. We live in Gonzales, Louisiana and would be so happy to have your wonderful store open here. Only problem I see is your employees would spend all their paycheck in the store ;))) Okay, so that’s my request….to throw my town into the pot when locations are chosen for new locations. I hope corporate receives my letter. Thanks!
Boycott HobbyLobby says
The CEO of Hobby Lobby has officially endorsed Trump, thereby blatantly betraying biblical principles. Romans 3:8 “8 And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.”
David Green, in endorsing Trump, is proclaiming, “Let us do evil” (support Trump) “that good may come” (Green is assuming that Trump will appoint a pro-Christian Supreme Court Justice).
No. Let us do GOOD, by trusting in GOD’S ability to place the a pro-Christian Supreme Court Justice. So many people who CLAIM to be Christian, and CLAIM to trust in GOD, have taken up the cry, “In TRUMP we trust!”
Idolatry. Blatant and irrefutable.
Until David Green and Hobby Lobby corporate leaders OFFICIALLY DENOUNCE Trump, we will BOYCOTT.
We refuse to support any person, organization, or business which encourages people to “do evil, so that good may come.”
Instead, we support people, organizations, and businesses which encourage people to “do GOOD” according to GOD’S WORD.

Hillary has been disappointing and disobedient to God her entire life in public office; she promotes everything the Bible teaches against i.e. Gay marriages, killing the unborn babies and sees nothing wrong with how live babies are killed and butchered in abortion clinics; she pushes for open borders and giving illegals all kinds of benefits, including the right to vote; she takes millions of dollars from countries that openly hate the USA — especially Christians; her idols in college and presently are people who desire to destroy America. She lies about everything and gets away with all kinds of horrible, dishonest things — destroying emails, her computers so she wont get caught. Trump is not perfect by any means, but he is the lessor of two evils and has surrounded himself with strong Christians — black and white. Hillary admires Martha Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood, who ‘privately’ wanted to keep blacks from multiplying. She made speeches in early 1900’s to the women of KKK movement and they loved her….If Hillary gets elected our USA as we’ve known and loved will no longer exist and what few of our Christian Rights are left (as her party is continuously destroying our Christian rights) — she and her Supreme Court appointed judges will take away all our rights as Christians… I suggest you pay close attention to what you’re hearing and reading and make sure you dont just listen to the corrupt media. If you choose not to vote, you are voting for Hillary and a destroyed America. Please dont boycott Christian-based companies like Hobby Lobby, Chik fila, and others; instead boycott those who promote non Biblical lifestyles like Home Depot and Target just to name a couple. You can find many more to boycott at OneMillionMoms website (strong, Christian group that you can depend on).

9-20-16 I was rudely turned down by store manager Rich from the Lawrenceville georgia location on an exchange for 2 frame I had just purchased. The frames had wire hangers installed by the associate in the framing department. I got the frames home and discovered they are absolutely not going to work for what I need. Rich stated it’s damaged because the installation of the wire hanger and the can’t return. DAMAGED? Your employee professionally installed the wire hanger how is that considered damaged? Where is THIS policy written on your return policy on the back of the receipt? If this is how your treating customers and not standing up to your return policy thats written on the receipt and displayed in your store then you’ve lost multiple customers for life and will spread the word to friends and family to NOT SHOP AT HOBBY LOBBY

I just want to commend two of your employees in the Springfield IL frame dept. store. I was there on Aug 8,2016 in the late afternoon. This young lady and young man was working (and bad on me I did not get their names) but they could not have been more helpful with these two posters that I need matted and framed. They not only helped with getting mattes picked out but gave me suggestions on how to have it framed that they could and did do for me. They turned out Beautiful I could not have been happier. I have moved to Evansville, IN and I did go to that store to have my posters framed and I left so very MAD and did not purchase anything. The girl in the frame dept did not want to be there that day and did not want to help the customers. She would not help me pick out the mats or help choice a color that would go with my posters . Would not even lay the mat choices down so I could look at them she just kept asking me what color did I want . Told her not sure did she have any suggestions no she did not and was to worried about getting them out of order. And messing with her iPad that was hanging around her body . I will never go to that store again . From now on I will travel 250 miles to go to the Springfield IL store. Their staff has always been so very helpful especially in the framing dept. thank you for taking the time to read this.

I live in Omaha, NE and was recently at the Millard Hobby Lobby and asked a Hobby Lobby employee where an item was located in the store and she was very rude she was pointing in the direction and kind of just barking at me… When I approached to ask her she was just standing around having a casual conversation with another employee so I guess I must’ve interrupted… She was very rude to me and I was very unpleased with the customer service.. When i looked at her name tag it said missy.. I’ve been going to Hobby Lobby for many years and have never been treated that way before… I know everyone has there bad days but you should be professional when working and she was the furthest from that… Normally I wouldn’t handle a situation in such a manner but I was so disappointed and mis pleased I left without buying what I went for…

Just letting you know we could use a Hobby Lobby in Lutz, Florida! The nearest ones are almost 20 miles away, and we have nothing like it in this immediate area. There are lots of retail stores nearby, including the Wiregrass Mall, as well as the new Tampa Premium Outlets. This former Kmart location recently closed and it is in a very high traffic area. I don’tthink II willbe going back anytime soon I would think random or at least hiring drug test would be done but looks like they do not care about drug use some Christian based company. It saddens me and for that iwill pray something is done to help all these employees. They need to find the religion that the company was based on.

Hobby lobby chooses their employees very carefully they do not hire a store full of drug using employees smh now if they were a drug user once upon a time ago they give that person the a chance and I applaud them for that for giving ppl a second chance to make right in everything they did wrong at one point in their life so to the woman that made the supposive concern of the store on salsalia or where ever you must not know much about drug users you can’t be spaced out and talking 90 to nothing it’s one or the other and you should be ashamed of yourself making such an awesome store look bad because you have a problem with one of the workers . I’ll say a prayer for you and pray your ugly bone will go away. God bless

I was appalled at how one of your opening employee’s at the Topeka, KS location drove to work on 1-26-16 at 8:00 a.m.. He endangered multiple lives through speeding, tailgating, and cutting in and out of traffic. He speed past 10 cars at an estimated 80 mph (in a 65) lined up to exit from one highway to another, cut off exiting drivers at the last minute to make it to the on-ramp, and tailgated the driver in front of him while on the overpass. He then turned left in front of a vehicle that had the right of way at a stop light because he didn’t want to wait for traffic to clear. He ran a red light while turning left turning into the business parking lot. I watched as he parked and got out of his car. He was on the phone and apparently running late for work. This driver is in his late 20’s, early 30’s, dark hair, brown boots, brown camouflage jacket, and drives a silver 4 door jeep with KS tag 992GGW. WATCH OUT FOR THIS RECKLESS EMPLOYEE REPRESENTING HOBBY LOBBY. I’m sure he thought risking multiple lives was worth making it to work on time.
R.U. Serious says
Patrick — Your Story Is Complete Dog-Poo. If the employee was truly driving that fast there is NO WAY you could have seen the whole incident unless YOU were driving just as dangerously as HE Was. Since you are complaining about something that YOU also did (in order to see the entire incident) that makes you the BIGGEST HYPOCRITE ALIVE. You claim to have only seen this employee exit his car and enter his work site, which means you could NOT have seen the entire incident. By your own admission you are also the BIGGEST LIAR ALIVE. People need to watch out for YOU since you are obviously very, very untrustworthy.

My wife purchased a standing cabinet. It appear to be made from the cheapest of materials as the legs were cracked. However that was not my issue. Believe it or not, it had a tag on it that states: WARNING: This product contains TDCPP, a flame retardant chemical know to the State of California to cause cancer.
I have never seen a company so willing to support products that KNOWINGLY may cause cancer?????? I am hoping to receive a call from anyone from HL to explaining why they would sell a product with this disclosure???
Customers: Beware and read the sales tags.

I shop often in your Hobby Lobby store in Cedar Park, Tx on 1431. I shop with your company because of your religious values. I have never seen a manager that is so rude to customers and the employees. Since this new manager has been in this store all of the happy faces have turned to sad. I know with your Christian values you would not hire someone that treats the employees like they are in the army. If I had to work for him I would leave your company. No one should have to dread going to work. You have a great crew in that store, and I hate to see the morale go down.
I think maybe this manager needs to have more training on how to treat the employees.
If he would work with them and not give orders like he was in the military I think it would work better for him and the staff. I was a district manager for a large company so I know that if you treat your employees like you would like to be treated they would do anything for you. They have to be treated like they are as important as the managers. RESPECT

Visited your store in Lakeland Florida today. Always happy to go in look around. Get ideas and of course supplies.
While there I did what all women do. Had to find the bathroom quick! I had to walk the whole back wall of the store only to find the bathroom located on the side wall. Since bathrooms to your stores are usually located in the front or the back of the store walls. While this is a great marketing idea not so good when one need the facility quickly.
My suggestion is a large sign with an arrow to point one in the right direction. Your signs now are lower then the inventory on the shelves.
Totally hope you take this into consideration as one that will shop longer if she is a happy shopper.

I am compelled to state why I will no longer purchase or walk into a Hobby Lobby store. I hope this reaches many individuals. Growing up my parents were active followers of the Bill Gothard cult. I was mentally, physically, and sexually abused by my father. This group may have strong beliefs, but it does give control to the man of the house. The man is to be the “umbrella of protection” and the women must follow. I was not allowed to attend college because it would mean leaving the “umbrella”. However, the umbrella was a source of abuse. The only way I found my way out was to be strong enough to leave. I do credit God and my husband for showing me how to be strong and independent.
What does this have to do with Hobby Lobby? The Green family (owners) are major contributors to this cult. I beg Hobby Lobby to cease contributing to this cult that has ruined so many lives. The company could still get out God’s word without demoralizing women and setting them up to be dependent upon men.
I no longer have any contact with my family due to their beliefs. I am a Christian and do believe in God’s word. This is not an attack on Christianity. Just on a “wolf in lamb’s cloth”. Until Hobby Lobby denounces Bill Gothard and his teachings, I will continue be a voice. Thank you for listening.

Good afternoon. A new Hobby Lobby is opening in Albemarle, NC (28001). My wife was asked to report to orientation 1 September. Unfortunately my wife showed up at orientation 7 minutes late according to the time specified on the paper she received from hiring official. My wife “thought” the orientation started at 0915. When she appeared, materials in hand, the person holding the orientation specifically stated that Hobby Lobby does not tolerate lateness. Understood. However, my wife told the representative the truth that she thought the orientation began at 0915. She had the same time on her calendar. THIS WAS AN HONEST MISTAKE! Now, Hobby Lobby stores and facilities are open for business every day with the exception of Sunday due to Christian beliefs so employees to have more time to spend for worship, rest, and family, even at the expense of profits. I ask you this…a woman who made an honest mistake was immediately punished on the spot without an ounce of forgiveness or understanding. SEVEN MINUTES LATE because of a misunderstanding. I am asking that you contact the Hobby Lobby manager in Albemarle, NC, and let my wife have her job. Being selected was a blessing to us that should not have been taken away because of a misunderstanding. If you are truly Christian based, then forgive my wife for a minor infraction that quite frankly didn’t cost anyone any money. Thank you. I can be reached at 704-438-6188. My wife at 704-425-****.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of these issues. My daughter who is very into being perfect in her job, talked to her manager about giving her a set schedule like she had when she started working there. My daughter asked her manager to allow this again so she could make plans for a babysitter. The manager gAve her eight o’clock start time, which was fine, however the next week the manager changed her mind and put her back on at nine. This however, was not good as my daughter. has to put kids on the bus for eight fifty. My daughter also works Saturday night, which only gives her Sunday to find someone to put them on the bus. My daughter is very work conscious and comes home crying at time’s because she didn’t have time to finish her order because the manager takes her out of the department to go on register, which puts her behing. Unfortunately, I don’t believe this company is very religious nor very caring as they say About the employee or there families. I could write a six mile long message here but bottom line is they don’t understand that not all people lie as the company and managers do. Take car and maybe God is telling her there is a better job out there for her and her faith will help her find it. God Bless and hope things get better for you.

I would appreciate having them back in stock for my artwork & other projects which I used them for. Is it a problem of supply or a problem of demand by customer?
