I worked at Harry and David in Heath Ohio for a couple months during the Christmas seasonal time, I took a couple days off to get tested for COVID-19 and it came back positive, so I was out for a month until I showed no symptoms and was feeling better, I called Harry and David every single day while I was sick and everyday after that for 3 months to try to come back to work and I couldn’t even get someone to answer the phone, The HR Department in the Heath location is a joke honestly, i have still been waiting for going on 6 months now for them to answer the phone, I even went in to the building to talk to somebody and the HR department turned their lights off and acted like they weren’t there, the only person who helped at all was the custodian and security guards at the front desk and all they could tell us was to wait 4 months for the next hiring period to start, I was terminated because supposedly HR said I never once called or texted while I was sick, which is a huge lie, I texted everyday, even on Christmas, and a family members birthday. I feel like someone in that department wasn’t doing their job, and I got terminated for it, while they still have their jobs that they do very poorly. Even when I was working at HArry and David still, the HR department was very rude all the time and was not helpful at all, they sit in their offices and gossip all day, ignoring phone calls, they even accuse people of stealing from work and refusing to show the “footage” of them stealing, even though there are cameras and security guards everywhere, it’s a shame that HR are the first people you see when you walk in to the building, they aren’t welcoming and don’t act like they care about their jobs, also not to mention a registered sex offender works at the heath location as well, around multiple minors along with drug users who actively use on the job, the Heath location is terrible, from the reviews I’ve seen since I’ve left there, it doesn’t seem like they are doing too good, there are a lot of other complaints about HR

I am frustrated. I have been on hold for over 1 1/2 hours trying to resolve an issue and got disconnected. I also called back and have been on hold for 30 minutes, as I am writing this. Additionally, I tried to use your chat, which ended with the agent disconnecting me after I asked to speak to a supervisor and spending over 40 minutes in the chat. I’m experiencing the same nonsense. I placed an order for xmas in the beginning of NOV. to make sure all would be fine. 2 of 3 orders were fine, as usual. The third order had wrong delivery date. I wrote to have it changed and it was then I was told they had run out of that item. I was furious, called to get money back, and think of something else only to have some poor guy in the philippines, that kept trying to convince me the order would be delivered by the 23rd. I said NO, it won’t because they e-mailed me they were OUT! plus it says no longer available on the website! He just kept repeating his mantra, then I realized, he didn’t understand enough english to help.
WTAF has happened to HArry and Davids, from the looks of these comments, they are about to lose lots of customers. They now officially suck. HArry and Davids is not in the Philippines, I refuse to deal with companies that pull this nonsense.

I am writing in regards to an order I placed on Nov. 26, 2019 for my grandson’s Christmas gift. He is in the Army but due to come home soon, thankfully.
I placed the order weeks in advanced so he would get it. He never did. I was heartbroken knowing he wouldn’t be getting a Christmas gift from me to the point of tears.
As you can see by the order number, I dealt with reps over and over….to no avail. Nobody (I spoke to many reps) knew anything about the whereabouts of his gift, and after realizing he would not get it, you credited my card.
I realize you did what you could as far as the monetary end of it but I never got any explanation as to what happened. I had contacted USPS and they kindly explained that they never received the package to ship?? An explanation from you would have eased my frustration a bit and I could have sent him another Christmas gift…..but I was not notified from your company.
I have been a customer or H&D’s for years, but am so disappointed with this whole situation. The hours I spent trying to find where his gift was and whether he would get it was nerve-wracking! Whereas it was never sent to USPS, I am thinking the service has gone downhill since merging with 1-800-flowers, but feel like I am owed at least an explanation as to why my grandson, while serving in the military overseas, never got his Christmas gift from me.

I’ve received very few responses but those I did assured me I would not continue to receive emails requesting me to order items for my dead mother. Every time I get one of you emails telling me it’s time to send her a gift I’m struck with grief and anger at your company.

Yet here I am again after receiving yet another email telling me to send my deceased mother a Harry and David gift. MAKE IT STOP! NOW.
By law if Harry and David continues to harass me in this way I can take legal action against Harry and David for refusing to comply with my wishes for termination of these reminders. I will seek legal counsel and I have kept my emails requesting a cease and desist. Please don’t make me have to hire counsel to force you to stop these reminders.

I ordered a $89 ham last year, early in October, to be sent to my family in Anchorage, AK, to arrive December 23. They called me and said it had not arrived and were expecting it for their dinner the next day. I immediately called and found out that they had “run out” and I could have a refund or they would send it later — when I ordered it in October — are you kidding me? Needless to say, I was livid and wrote a letter to the CEO, sending it registered mail so he would have to sign for it. BUT — did I ever receive an apology or an answer of any kind — of course not.
I am still upset with them! I have ordered from them for years but NO MORE! I have told everyone I know of my experience and cancelled their catalogs, etc. Thanks for letting me vent! Mary Anne Rymer

Will never work for Harry and David again, nor refer anyone to work there.
After a month and half of working with someone (an equal) who came to work at times on heroin, would yell at other employees, harrassment on many different levels. All from one employee I complained along with many others and nothing was done. As for payroll I now have another check from Harry and David that is not on the positive pay list. I have received 2 of these checks. If the check is not on positive pay, you have to wait for payroll to call you and fix it. Could be hours could be days.
Worst employer and company I have ever worked for in my life.

Last week, I received a Harry and David pear gift box from Lori and Brian Kauffman, from New Castle, PA. I live in Vienna, VA. The box included a package of mixed nuts which had gone bad, plus an extremely small piece of cheese – one bite.
I contacted your customer service department, and found them to be very unpleasant and unhelpful and a disappointing experience. The agent I spoke with was extremely difficult to communicate with due to loud background conversations and an agent with a heavy accent who was very difficult to understand. He seemed to be laughing at my situation, and I’m not sure if I am being sent replacement products since it was impossible to understand what the agent said..
My negative experience with your company’s products and customer service will prevent me from purchasing from your company in the future. I expected better from your company; at minimum, a replacement of the spoiled items.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Took HR seven days to come to the same conclusion my boss and I knew was not harrassment of any kind. We ordered a basket for my brother in NC on Nov. 26th, we were given 7 (yes7!) different delivery dates but on the 23rd we were told it was “out of stock”. My brother was a active Marine for 26 years and we are very proud of him, fought in in gulf many times and away from home more often than not. Both my wife and I spoke with and even have in writing how the issue was resolved only to have the day before Christmas told “only God can help now”. We had been a customer for 25 years(look it up) but never again. Don’t expect a response since either this company lies or is incompetent. I received a H&D Gift Basket two days ago. It contained Rivera Pears and jelly and cheese. One of the onion jelly was open and leaking on the cheese. I called H&D and they said they would replace the 2 items.
Now it is two days later. I cut up the pears and all of them are rotten in the middle although they look beautiful on the outside. I just called H&D again and told them to reimburse the sender. They will cancel my initial replacement for jelly and cheese. I wished to send pics of fruit as I am sure I am not the only one who this has happened to, and it would be good for you to know what caused this (handling / transportation issue). Customer service was not interested.
I have ordered from Harry and David for years and am very disappointed in the quality of your product and your customer service. I advised customer service that we had 2 young people pass away in our family and that this was a sympathy gift and they f/u with trying to send me more product and not at all interested in solving the quality problem.

I went online and did two orders and to my surprise the orders were delivered last week. What company tells customers one thing and do another.. If I had read theses complaints I would have never ordered from them and now never will again.

I’ve been a customer of Harry And David for over 3 decades. This relationship began in the 80’s when I was gifted peaches from your company. Over the years, I have never had any issues and felt confident that my mail order gifts would be delivered on time and the product would be excellent.
The wagon just ran over the horse! Did your cooperative efforts with other mail-order companies create an unforgiving mess of your inventory and logistics? Apparently so.
A Christmas basket I ordered online was slated for delivery on the 23rd. I received no notice of “out of stock” via email or by phone. After I instigated a call to your customer service on Dec. 26th, I was then told that it would be the 29th instead because the item was “out of stock.” Yesterday, January 2nd, I received a call saying it wouldn’t be sent until March 1st. Again, no notice that the delivery on the 29th was moot. I actually helped your customer service representative figure out why my emails were bouncing.
Your company’s resolution was 1) We can replace it with a bigger basket for the same price 2) We can offer you a 20% coupon off your next order. Both are futile attempts. First, the basket was meant to serve food for xmas. Second, why would I even consider ordering from you again after this fiasco?
I suggest your company find a better way to appease long-time customers who EXPECTED quality and promptness from Harry And David. I cannot imagine the numbers who experienced this letdown over the holidays. But, I can assure you that you have lost enough customers and will continue to garner bad reviews to impact your bottom line.

My father passed away and I went to Harry and David at Osage Beach, Missouri to buy a gift to thank people who helped me out on my job when I had to rush out due to his death. Somehow in my fatigue etc. I either forgot to get a receipt or mis placed it. I need it for business purposes. The local store at Osage Beach claims they cannot look up my receipt (even though I have the date, the time, the amount, my name and the credit card number). They claim it isn’t possible to get me a receipt sent to me via email or other method. I know this is false. I need the receipt for business or I have to pay it back to my business (almost 200 dollars). I tried to call customer service and the gentleman answering the phone said he could not help either. I asked who can help. He only said to call the people I had already called!! He said there is nothing else he can do. I asked for corporate contact and he said he can’t give me that. The run around by Harry and David is ricidulous and unappreciated during this time of greiving. I am sorry I relied on your company to be who I turned to in this difficult time…mistakenly thinking you were a quality company with quality customer service.
If I don’t get the receipt asap and I end up losing a couple of hundred dollars over this mess…You best believe I will hit social media hard to tell everyone I can about this horrible experience.

Almost 2 months I’ve been trying to get service to replace popcorn that had what looked to be an insect in it I’ve had the run around going back-and-forth with your customer service where they said that they would forward it to upper management to this day I’m still waiting for response.
