Instead of candy, Bingo passed out peanuts and guests were encouraged to throw the shells on the floor and crunch them.
In early 2004, Ground Round filed for bankruptcy and abruptly closed almost all of their restaurant locations. The chain was quickly purchased by a group of franchise owners who then created Ground Round Independent Owners Cooperative, LLC.
The company currently has 30 locations in 13 states. The company states that since new owners took control, revenues at all locations have steadily increased by 4% or more each quarter.

I worked for Ground Round in St. Louis, Missouri back in 1973, into 1974. Its closed now of course but I would really like to know the old address to see if the place is still there in some form. We eat at you establishment in Waconia MN Twelve to Fifteen times a year. Each time we eat burgers. And each time we specify NO ONIONS !!! (My wife is allergic to onions) And each time the food is delivered, onions included !!!! And I’m very specific That I Don’t Want Onion on our food, yet after twelve times a year , they continue to put it on our FOOD !!!! So today on September 18, 2019 WE GOT ONIONS ON OUR FOOD!!!! It’s not the Bar Servers fault , because I watched her put the order in the computer! Yet it comes out with onions, and you would think after 12 VISITS a year, they would get it RIGHT ! ???
I spent over half an hour trying to find out what the ingredients are in your cheesecake, because I have allergies. I gave up, and tried for a phone number, and ended up spending another 15 to 20 minutes without success. Could you tell me one or the other?
Please bring Ground Round back to Illinois–loved the restaurants!
I complained before about bad service and cold food. Said I would give ground round a few more times before boycotting you. Today my wife got warm coke slaw and it tasted bad. She pointed it out to the server and her response was very nasty “We make it fresh everyday”. No offer of something else and no apology. Good bye ground round. You lost not only my wife and I but both my daughter’s and anyone else I can convince not to go there. Johnson City NY store.

I worked for Ground Round located in Langhorne Pennsylvania. I have contacted the owner twice about my last paycheck and he has never sent it to me. I’ve even watched him refuse to give a last paycheck to a woman when she came there and he said she owed him money for an apron. Which she claimed she did not, so I am sure the same things is occurring to me here. I know I do not owe Ground Round any money, but I am owed my last paycheck.
