Wanda is a nasty lady, I’ve never in all my years of living had someone be so ghetto, and angry working customer service. I even called back maybe to see if I would get someone else, and it was her. I’ve never dealt with a company that the supervisor handles everything especially when everybody has a boss! The fact that you can’t even speak to someone else but her is insane. It’s “No Way” she would represent my company. It’s distasteful, and the interest that they charge is ridiculous. All I wanted was the payment amount, first thing she say is court. But if I didn’t have a job how would you get your money. Everybody isn’t trying to get over. People should be mindful of the way they talk to people. Being kind doesn’t hurt, especially when you don’t know what someone else is going through. But I pray for peace, and pray for evil people it’s already enough wickedness in the world we live in !

The customer service is atrocious. The interest rates will cost 5x’s what the furniture value. I offered a settlement for an issue going on 10 years. They won’t take it. Whoever Ms. Berry, in Virginia Beach, is. They want $13,000 for furniture bill of $3,000. Make that make sense.

The pleather is falling off my 3 piece living room set!!!! This set has been coming apart for a while now a little bit at a time with normal use. The frame on the recliner and sofa is broken. This was NOT a cheap set!!! Very disappointing.

I’ve purchased furniture from furniture at the Virginia Beach store a couple of weeks ago I’m still waiting on it , I called to check the status today October 27 ,2021 and they told me it will be mid December before I get my merchandise, now mind you they have a set in the store that I want and it’s the same thing that I ordered but they wont sell me that instead they want me to wait almost two months to receive my merchandise that is crap , what kind of way is that to treat paying customers

I went into Grands on 12/19/20 to make a payment. I also was making a change to my account, so had to sign some paperwork. In the midst of conducting my payment with the associate, another customer or employee (not sure), came in inquiring about a gift bag that was for her behind the counter. So the associate was interrupted and sidetracked, and I had a lot of things on my mind myself, so also was sidetracked. At the time, I was also reading over paperwork that I just had signed. In all of that, I walked out of the store and the associate and myself said “Have a Happy Holiday”. It was already later in the afternoon. Out of my payment, I SPECIFICALLY said that I would need $10 of it for gas. I realized that she never gave me my change when I was at the gas station. When this happened, I immediately called the store, but it was right at closing time, so I guess they weren’t answering anymore phones for the evening. So now it’s 12/20/20 and I called the store upon them opening. This time, an associate says to call back on 12/23/20, when the office manager would be back. So I call back today, and the office manager tells me that she had the drawer that evening, and it wasn’t over. I’m thinking, “So, what the hell does that mean?” She wasn’t the associate on the drawer, so what is she saying? That lady knew that she owed me $10, and probably thought that I had forgotten or wasn’t coming back to ask about it, so politely kept it for herself..Now she’s conveniently on vacation. Now I’m told that I have to call yet another manager back in two weeks. All they have to do, honestly, is to check their cameras and see that this lady never handed me back any change. It may be only $10, but it’s the principal of it all to me. Times are hard enough and I’m not just going to laugh it off and say, “Oh it’s ok” like they expect me to. I’m not giving any company or anyone else a free $10 of mines, that I work hard for. It’s a shame how people do other human beings in these days and times. I could just have the $10 applied to my account at this point.

I feel you on this cause it’s been two months and I haven’t received mine either and corporate can’t even call me back about anything and when I relieved one of the items they destroyed it by putting a hole in it so yeah grand furniture is terrible and not a place to buy anything from them.

y husband and I went into Grand Furniture after going into another furniture store and receiving no service. We were happy to find a sleigh bed with storage, a dresser with a mirror and a chest. We paid for this in full. This was purchased on May 1, 2020 and we received a call that the furniture would be delivered on May 15. All the furniture was in stock except for the chest. The sales agent, Charlie Green did not contact us but another person in the store. I was surprised that the 2 conversations that we had concerning the chest which was not delivered until June 8 were conversations we had to initiate. Charlie never contacted us and when you call the store if the sales associate is not available no one else can give information which I find confusing seeing that the order is in the computer. I had purchased a living room set and dining room set from Grand in 2013 and did not have this problem. I am also confused that we never received a satisfaction survey or call. To this date, Charlie has not called to ask how we like the furniture. I will definitely be needing a living room set in the future but it will not be with Grand furniture. I am shocked that the customer service and commitment to customers have been so reduced. I know that my $2241 is a small bucket for the amount of furniture you sell but you rely on word of mouth and it will not be a favorable conversation. In fact, my son just purchased a bed room set from a competitor.

Went to the Va Beach with my daughter. She was told she was preapproved for X amount of dollars since she had paid off her account. She decided to upgrade her bed from a Queen to King. They had the exact same set so all she needed to do was get a bed frame, mattress and box spring. Everything is all set to go…so she thought. 1st delivery attempt they called her to inform her that there was a problem with the delivery something had been broken in the warehouse. The bed was discontinued and no longer available, they needed to contact the manufacturer to see about getting another one made. That takes 2-3 weeks. They still attempted to deliver the mattress and box spring to put on what??? Ok, 2nd delivery attempt comes and they are putting the bed together and taking the frame out of the package the frame is broken. She has been if not a month, close to it or even OVER a month waiting for a bed frame and mattress. Now she has to go pick out another frame….but NOTHING MATCHES the dresser and nightstand she just paid for!!! No where to sleep bc she prepared for her bed delivery for the 2nd time. Someone needs to accomodate her to the highest level or give her a whole new set!! Reply ASAP to get this resolved. Oh did I mention she’s 5 months pregnant!!!

Hi I had a horrible experience with a bed I bought from Newport news store..we set up delivery day and no one showed or called so when I called store and delivery they had no knowledge of the bed, so they said in 3 weeks it has to be ordered set date again .. and no one showed I called store and got run around, I went to the store and mgr was rude and she had no knowledge of everything after explaning found out bed was not available its been over a month now . I was told to get something else now this first bed was 3hundred something …while walking floor I saw the bed marked down to 146 as is I told mgr that is the bed I want that one at the sale price and i live 4 minutes from store so i waited long enough I wanted it delivered..she tried to tell me I had to pay 200 hundred to have it delivered, I threatened to call corp office and she said they would deliver in 2 weeks, I wasnt happy….. any way I have paid well over 2 hundred dollars for the bed that was 146 now on sale and now im getting phone calls that I owed a past due amt of 19 dollars plus late fees…. I have all my documentatuon so you need to eat that 19 dollars plus fees ….for you all put me through a lot already…..I also need an email back with this rectified ……I work with the public also…….

My wife and I bought furniture from grand several times. This last time was a horrific experience. We financed a bedroom set costing over 3000.00. When we were scheduled to have the furniture delivered the truck never delivered our furniture after calling multiple times we were told they were “too busy” so they needed to reschedule a time to delivery which was expressly inconvenient as I was told I had to accommodate their schedule bc that’s what they had or I would have to pay for delivery. I bought the insurance plan. When the furniture was delivered the men dropped everything in the middle of my bedroom floor and tried to rush out I told them I wanted it moved as I had instructed them when they arrived. They were very unpleasant. When they left I hurried out for a meeting. The following day I went to use the dresser and the drawers were completely off track I called the office and scheduled a time to have someone come out to look at it. After 2 separate no shows from the technician the third time they showed up. I was told it could not be fixed and that I had to replace the dresser myself bc It was my responsibility to check it before the grand furniture movers left and that my insurance absolutely will not cover drawer damage. What is the insurance for then? I am very upset about this whole experience especially the fact that I owe entirely too much money for something that was delivered defective and basically now it is junk I need a member of the corporate team to return my call immediately as I have been going back and forth with the Newport News va grand furniture regarding this matter for over a year now!

About a few months ago I was starting to shop for furniture. I took a chance and stopped in at Grand Furniture. I found a set that I was thinking about, but didn’t want to buy just then. I spoke to the salesman, who was very nice, and he took my information. Recently he called me and told me the set I was looking at was discontinued and he could offer the floor model to me. The price was great and I took my husband the next day to see it. After waiting for about 30 minutes, the sale manager, who was also very nice ran some numbers and told us the bottom price with a recliner would be almost 1800.00. I told her I would like to take advantage of their no interest financing, which there were at least 25 signs all through the store, guaranteed! However, she informed us that we could not get the interest free financing because the floor model was such a reduced rate, that cooperate would not allow this. Needless to say, after they offered us 29.9%financing on the set, we walked out of the store feeling very defeated! I will say I will not be a future customer of Grand’s and there is a new game in town, Ikea!

I am very disgusted with this company and how things were handled with my account. I purchased a king sized mattress in June 2017 that was $1067.00 after taxes, discounts, etc. I was told that the interest would be included if I did not pay it off within two years. Every time that I paid on my account, the balance seemed to go up rather than down. I inquired a number of times and was told that it was due to interest. I ended up paying more than $1400 for a mattress that I could’ve gotten someplace else for less. I will never do business with this company again. I don’t feel like they have integrity and some of the people that I had to speak with were very rude.

I have reported Grand furniture to the BBB because they are a fraud company scamming people out of money and defaming people’s credit. I need for the CEO Craig Stein to contact me ASAP and i will be calling the local news station and taking them to that store with those ignorant people. If they don’t remove the negative remark from my credit score I will SUE them. I don’t advise anyone to get anything from them I wouldn’t recommend a dog to buy a dog house from those crooks!!!!!!

I was told, that technically my furniture loan was 0% interest because the interest I paid per month was accumulated and applied to the final payment whenever I decide to pay it off, but now they are saying that there is no such thing.
I would have never bought such an expensive couch on a loan if I knew I was paying interest on the loan in the first place. I would have paid it in full the very first day, but I suppose I was blinded and I was stupid for ever even listening to them.
I will NEVER, purchase a piece of furniture from Grand Furniture ever again, even if I was to pay in full, due to the pure slyness of their sales tactics. This stemmed from the Hampton location, but they went out of business (gee, imagine that), but the employees transferred over to the Newport News location.

Grand Furniture is a fraud. They repossed my furniture in October 2013 and sold it at their outlet. Refused to give credit to my account of the sale of merchandise. They then went to court wirhout informing me and placed a judgement on my credit for the full amount of the remainder owed on the contract. They then wrote it off to ORS on their tax return and got credit for a profit loss. Now they are demanding I pay them the amount of the judgement. Craig Stein nor Brett refised to speak wirh me. Ive been with t his company 21 years. They told me even if I paid them the amount owed they wouldnt remove the judgement. They are theives and will burn in hell for their greed. Their furniture today is Trash and not sturdy at all .its dry rotted. I will never do business wirh them again.

Hello, I have a concern that has been bothering me for quite some time and need to file a formal compliant.
The issue has to do with a set of oak wood bunk beds purchased at GFO last year for my grandchildren. The bunk beds were not as well made as we thought and did not last a year. We purchased insurance with the bunk beds having had an issue with a sofa and love seat from Grand in the past which was resolved without incident.
However about 9 months after purchasing the bunk beds they we noticed the frame was unstable and the wood started cracking. As such the beds literally fell apart. I took pictures and submitted a claim to Montage. The claim was denied siting normal wear and tear. I have yet to understand how beds falling apart in less than a year is normal wear and tear. We are still paying for these bunk beds that we no longer have. They were unfit for our grandchildren to sleep in. Needless to say we had to purchase new beds that we are still paying for as well. Somehow this seems unfair and unacceptable. Please let me know how we can rectify this issue and come to a happy resolution. Look forward to your reply.
Thanks in advance!

purchased a electric bed for my mother in your Hampton store they could not bring it until Thursday after Christmas, okay I guess I could live with that. Then Thursday night and then Friday night my mother 77 years old slept in it and she woke up to a broken bed. I called the store and the more I spoke with the clerk then Salesperson the more I got mad She asked me what my mother did to cause it to break how dare her even ask something like that. And that they could not come out to fix it because no one works on weekends. If I hear nothing from you in 48 hours I will call a lawyer because my mother almost hurt her self and has no other bed to sleep in , Your Hampton place is the worst and I WILL make sure everyone I know will be aware of how my mother was treated.

Over the years we have purchased furniture at your Lexington VA
store. We like dealing with local by business’s. We purchased a lift chair today. We also purchased the 5 year warranty. It blows my mind that I also had to pay $99.00 for delivery. The folks working there are also not happy about this. We would of said goodbye at that point but we needed the chair now for my 90 year old husband. This is development in your store is a sad note in your history.
