Giordano’s Pizza was founded in 1974 in Chicago, Illinois, by brothers Efren and Joseph Boglio, who had immigrated to America from Italy. The brothers first worked at pizza restaurants, but were not impressed with the quality, so they opened their own restaurant.
The company operates a chain of mostly franchised pizza and Italian food restaurants which use the same pizza recipe that the founding brothers obtained from their mother. Later, the brothers experimented with pizza crusts and flours. They state that they were the inventors of the stuffed crust pizza.
Giordano’s Pizza has approximately 50 locations, most of them in the greater Chicago area. Giordano’s remains one of Chicago’s most famous pizzaria’s. They are best known for their deep dish and stuffed crust pizza’s.

Still waiting on the Giordano’s location in Omaha. You had a contest. Omaha won. And nothing. that contest was YEARS ago. What the heck happened??!! Obviously there is a TON of interest in Omaha if they won a contest that required the most votes.

The location in Richfield MN is the worst. They always put the wrong toppings on my order and they overcook the pizza. Also unless you order extra cheese, there is hardly any cheese at all. I am a Chicago native and grew up on this pizza so I know how good it can be. I have tried to give them a chance and provided feedback back, but it seems to fall on deaf ears. They are really ruining the brand and food and it is ridiculous. Something needs to change and I will not be ordering again until it does.

I want to know how in the world am I supposed to come back to work for an employer who is unresponsive to the needs of their employees. Just a selected few get special treatment. I’ve been out of work for at least two months and I wanted to work on the 22nd but couldn’t and now I can’t go to work because I have no gas for my car and no funds to help me for I am homeless still trying to strive.

Everyone beware, Giordano’s is adding a surcharge on all orders. I called the Schaumburg location and spoke to a Manager on Duty, and he said verbatim, the surcharge is to make up for all the lost business due to the pandemic. Are you f-ing kidding me, as pizza already has a 300% mark-up. My response to the MOD, I will order from Lou’s as they don’t hide a surprise charge anywhere, and $10.00 cheaper per pizza.
Giordano’s Corporate Office should be ashamed at trying to institute this unethical practice, and realize they are trying to screw the same loyal customers who built their brand.

On 7/23/2021 at 12:00pm I called the Giordano on Irio Bronson highway and order a pizza at witch time the guy told me that it would take about an hour I said e ok with the deliver by 1:00 pm at 1:15 I call them and ask them where’s my pizza the guy said that it would take another 25min I told him it doesn’t take two hours to make a pizza at which time I ask for the manager I told him what was going on and he said that he was sorry but it still would take that long. I mentioned to him that by the time it gets to me I’ll be going home from work. He then start to to cuss at me for NO reason at all.
I never was belligerent to him never called him any names just simply wanted my pizza.
When I try to call back they kepted hanging up on me like 4/5 times. I would love to really know if you train your people to be belligerent with customers. The order name for the pizza was Cruz to be deliver to Vacation village security of Vacation Village

My wife raved about your pizza which she had while in Chicago four years ago. A new Giordano’s opened in Beavercreek, Ohio recently and we decided to order a pizza. My wife called at 2:00 pm on 9/11/2019 and ordered a medium pizza for pickup at 4:00 pm. The person (male) who answered the phone was rude, but she ordered anyway. I arrived at the restaurant and said I was there to pick a pizza. After a couple of minutes of searching the man said he couldn’t find our order. He asked woman, evidently the manager, for assistance. She searched the computer but couldn’t find our order. She then went into the back saying that maybe they had the order back there. She came back a minute later and admitted that they had no record of our order. All she said was she was sorry. She didn’t try to rectify the situation by offering to make a pizza or offer us a coupon. I said as I left that I read all the negative reviews that they had received and should have listened to them. When I got home without a pizza, she called and asked for the manager. The manager said that I had been rude and then hung up her. I have managed pizza restaurants and never was rude to a customer or hung up on one. If we made a mistake, or even if we didn’t, we made them a free pizza or offered them a coupon for a free pizza. We knew that if we made the customer happy, instead of making him mad, went a long way towards maintaining a good reputation. That is what customer service is all about. I sorry to say that there no customer service at Beavercreek’s Giordano’s. They don’t have to worry about it, because we won’t be back.

Just left your establishment and I must say it’s one of the worst meals I ever had.
I asked our server Elena , what should I get the Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo or the Chicken Florentine she said the Chicken Florentine it’s so tasty and I did and my husband got the Lasagna.
Let me say it was NOT tasty at all, I was like I can’t eat this it needs some flavor. So I said to my husband when Elena comes back to check on us , I will tell her , I waited ten minutes and no Elena, so I asked the hostess if I could have a side of red sauce , again I waited no sauce.
Another waiter comes by and says who is your server, told him and I ask again for some sauce and again I waited.
Finally Elena comes by and I say your the third person , I’m asking for some sauce, she brings it out to me and leaves.
Does not even ask how every thing is, I, add some sauce on my fettuccine and try it and itis burnt.
At this point I’m done eating this food and I don t even say a word about it, then my husband says to me does the sauce taste burnt to you.
Elena comes by to see if she can wrap the food up , no thank you, this food was totally DISGUSTING.
She takes our plates and talks to the manager and gives us our check
No, manager comes by to see what happen or to apologize.
I pay my bill and leave.
What a disappointing meal

I ate at your restaurant on March 1st. Our server was Deion. We paid via credit card and the card was not returned with the bill to the table. We were in a rush and didn’t notice. The next day we realized the card was missing, and canceled it as we live far away from the restaurant. That evening someone tried to charge a $25.00 item off of Amazon to my card. In order to complete the charge you must have the CRV number from the card. It didn’t go through because we had cancelled the card, but we were alerted by the fraud department. I contact the restaurant and spoke to a manager named Erica. She confirmed that they had the card in their safe. When I confronted her regarding the rogue charge, she dismissed the issue by saying that her card was hacked the week before, and that there was probably a hacker at the CC company or Amazon. We never had a problem with this card, and it was obvious she was covering for herself or Deion. I highly recommend you investigate your manager as Card fraud would not be good PR. It was just an attempt on a $25.00 purchase, and it didn’t go through, but it was quite obvious what had happened and who had the chain of custody of my Credit Card.

I grew up on your Pizza and loved it. Then I became gluten free. These day Gluten Free has evolved and are great HOWEVER your Gluten Free is like ALDI’S gluten free products disgusting. There is a pizza place in St. Joseph MI called Silver Beach Pizza go to them buy their recipe and you will make everyone that is gluten free happy. Until them take it off the menu. It is gross.

ATTENTION GIORDANOS CORPORATE
My family and I visited Giordano’s in Schereville IN on July20,2018. Our waitress for my order wrong. So after 3 trips back and forth to our table I never received what I ordered. Michelle our waitress told me that I could have the pizza at no charge. I told her that I didn’t want it but she insisted that I take it no charge. Once we were ready to leave she had added the pizza to our ticket. So I asked why was I being charged for the pizza that she told me I could have. She said because I was taking the pizza. Again I tell her I don’t want it so now here comes the Manager who was VERY VERY VERY RUDE! I ask her why am I being charged for a pizza that our waitress Michelle 1st got wrong and 2nd said that I could have at no charge? The manager said “this is what you ordered so its your!” We asked what was the corporate office number she said “I don’t know I’m just the manager pay your ticket and get out!” My family and I spent over $400. You would think if someone comes to your place of business and spend $400+ would have gotten better treatment that what we received. Even tho the food was great I wouldn’t go their again.

Something is terribly wrong with the Franchise in Downtown Naperville Illinois on Main Street. I have worked for my employer for 12 years and we religiously order from this Franchise for lunches, meetings, birthday celebrations etc. Recently our last 2 orders have been horrible. The first order was burnt and could not be eaten. It was pitched and we called to complain and a credit was given towards the item. A week later we ordered again with a larger order and paid the difference. Unfortunately this pizza was no better than then the last one. At the end of our day we decided to call in our concern for the poor quality we have seen in our last two orders, not looking for any credits, just concerned that something changed. Jimmy was very kind and asked for the ticket number and details of our last two orders and he insisted on giving us another credit to be used the following week. Today my co-worker called to use the credit for a staff lunch. She was greeted by the General Manager Janet who informed her that she was about to call us about these “recent credits”, she was extremely rude and implied that we were just trying to get “free pizza”. My co-worker explained that we never asked for the credit s and todays order was going to be more than the credit. Janet also claimed that we complained before the holidays about another order. Little did she know that our office was closed in December, so not only did we not place an order, we could not have made a complaint. Very DSIAPPOINTED in how our office has been treated after being loyal customers for more than 12 years. MOD pizza, LOU Malnati’s hope you want our business!!!!!!!!!! What happened to the Giordano’s quality OOEY GOOEY CHEESEY!!!!!!!

Attention Giordano’s Corporate:
Complaint for Giordano’s franchise Champaign, IL
On Novemeber 25th, 2017 approximately 3:30…this purchase was paid for with a credit card in my name.
I ordered a large thin crust sausage pizza to eat at Giordano’s franchise, after an inordinate length of time, our wait-staff person brought out our pizza, placed it on the table and ran off. After a short period of time we were able to get her attention and pointed out that the “pizza” had the sausage on top of the cheese.
As Chicagoan’s and longtime customers of Giordano’s we knew that this was NOT right. We expressed our discontent and the wait-staff discussed the matter with Giordano’s franchise manager. The manager did NOT come to our table as requested, and the wait-staff informed us that Papa Del’s Pizza Factory, a Champaign restaurant always puts the sausage on top of the cheese. Well, we were NOT at Papa Del’s Pizza Factory, we were in Chicago’s Giordano’s.
The wait-staff then said that they are willing to discount the price of the sausage, but that is IT!
Giordano’s Champagin IL franchise manager refused to make a second pizza for us and pointed to another establishments practice as the reason for their unwillingness to properly address their issue, an issue that they admitted was a mistake on their part. We ate a few pieces and left the restaurant.
I felt badly for the wait-staff person who apologized for the managers behavior in handling the matter.
I feel that my credit card charge should be reversed in its entirety…the pizza was garbage and I should not be charged.
Thank you for your time,
Bruce M. Meissner

I am very disappointed in Giordanos new place in Columbus, Ohio. It is impossible to order takeout because they only allow so many and then they shut down the phones. I have been to other locations and this never happened. They will eventually lose customers due to this because they will give up. It is very poor management.

I recently visited Giordanos location, 223 W Jackson Blvd, Chicago, IL 60606. My friend and I were excited about getting Famous Deep Dish Pizzia. Working in the Serving Industry myself I understand the importance of customer service. But tonight I didn’t feel like I was valued customer. From taking a while to greet us, not checking back, and having to ask for a box. Normally I don’t like to complain but I noticed that other tables were getting more attention. For example, a family behind us needed refills so I busboy may have helped get them but we were still waiting for over 10mins so I had to eat without a drink. I informed a manager about our situation and she didn’t do much about it. Although the server did apologize for what had happened I still wasn’t satisfied. Hope to hear from you soon.
