Wayne Farms Corporate Office

Wayne Farms was founded in 1965, after being spun off from Allied Mills Company. The company operates one of the largest poultry producers in the US.

The company is the 6th largest poultry producer, processing more than 250 million chickens every year. Wayne Farms is a subsidiary of ContiGroup. There are 13 processing facilities which sell chicken under several names, including Wayne Farms, Platinum Harvest, and Dutch Quality House.

Wayne Farms also sells chicken to major restaurants and fast food restaurants, such as Jack in the Box, Campbell’s Soup, Chick-fil-A, and Applebee’s. In 2004, the company had annual revenue of $1.5 billion and employed nearly 10,000 people full time.

The company faced huge problems with Covid outbreaks at different plants throughout 2020. 

In July 2021, the company needed to fill more than 500 positions and was offering a $1500 sign on bounus in Alabama. 

In September 2023, the company was cleared of anti-trust charges regarding the reduction in a supply of chickens, thus increasing prices. 

Headquarters for Wayne Farms remains in Oakwood, Georgia.

D’Agostino Supermarkets was founded in 1932 by brothers Pasquale and Nicholas D’Agostino in New York, New York. The pair had operated a grocery store in Italy, but wanted to improve their lives by starting over in America. The company operates a small chain of grocery stores in the state of New York.

Nicholas bought out his brother’s share of the company when Pasquale died in 1960. The sons of Nicholas still own and operate the business. The company currently has 9 locations and annual revenue of approximately $200 million. Some stores have been featured on New York sitcoms and movies, such as Friends, Will & Grace, and Death Wish.

Although the company had some financial setbacks in the early 2000’s, which caused some locations to be closed, the company appears to be back on strong financial grounds.

Chuck-A-Rama was founded in 1966 by Don Moss and his two brother in laws in Salt Lake City, Utah. The company operates a small chain of buffet style, all you can eat restaurants. The original restaurant menu offered lunch for $1 and dinner for $1.50.

Today, the company has 20 restaurants, 10 in Utah and two in Idaho. The company offers typical American fare, but some food items are made from old family recipes, such as bread pudding and rolls. Guittard Chocolate Company Corporate Office

Guittard Chocolate Company was founded in 1868 in the San Francisco area of California by French immigrant  Étienne Guittard. During the peak of the gold rush years, Guittard traded chocolates he had brought from France for supplies he needed for gold mining. Shamrock Farms was founded in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1922 by W.T. McClelland. The company operates a diary farm, as well as produces milk products for sale, such as flavored milks and yogurt drinks. The farm began with only 20 cows, a model T delivery truck, and 1 employee to deliver milk products to customer’s doorsteps each day.

Today, the farm is one of the largest family owned and operated dairies in the Southwest, with more than 10,000 milking cows. One of the company’s best known brands is MMMMIlk, which offers whole and skim milk, yogurt, cream cheese, cottage cheese, and sour cream. The company also sells under its own name of “Shamrock Farms”.

Shamrock Farms also offers ice cream and ice cream treats, coffee flavored milk, flavored creams, and eggnog during the holiday season.
