Dorney Park goes back as far as 1860. Long before it became an amusement park, it belonged to Solomon Dorney, who had a fish hatchery and summer resort. Dorney decided that a public attraction would be more profitable than raising fish, so in 1870 he converted his estate into a public area, which featured a hotel, restaurant, games, and playground type rides. By the early 1880’s, Dorney added mechanical rides, which was the official start of Dorney Park as an amusement park.
Today, Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom, which is owned by Cedar Fair, boasts 8 roller coasters, 18 water rides, with a total of 59 rides, including Steel Force, the 9th longest roller coaster in the world, and the second longest on the East coast.
The company introduced a new type of wristband called Fast Pay, which allows park goers to preload their wrist band with money, therefore eliminating the need to carry cash. Wristbands are scanned and the money deducted from the person’s account. This program, which started in 2013, has been very successful.

Disappointed ???? in Dorney Park holding up there end of giving me $40 towards the next season pass cause I don’t use the pass the year before. They said I swiped my card so I used it but I didn’t because the park closed do to thunder storm. And they saw I had got two rain checks for the ones I paid for that day. So that should have been enough evidence to give me my $40 towards the next season pass!!!! ????????????!!! The women that agreed no longer works there and now they won’t do it. WOW that’s crazy and so unfair!!!

went to season passholder day this past Saturday the 22nd. OF MAY.2022.
I am a season pass holder. I go EVERY WEEK I know what the water in the water park is expected of…I tell u all what i wish i would of had my phone with me so i could of taken pics of the water where your LOVELY CHILDREN will be swimming at this Saturday the 28th of May 2022 .It was very SHAMEFUL and DIRTY Filthy my son is now sick from it aswell
????????????
ALL the water areas where people swim like the wave pool. and even the splash bucket area water was very very dirty leaves, sticks and all kinds of debri wer in all water areas. ESPECIALLY WHERE THE KIDS MUSHROOM PLAY AREA which is called lollipop lagoon ???????????????????????? way WAY BEYOND BAD!!!!!
The water was clean last year. My husband who is an Army Veteran was disgusted about how filthy all the water areas wer for the kids. He also had pulled parts of leaves that had gotten stuck in my son who is 4 years old’s eye lid. When I was changing him afterward so much little debri was stuck on his private area i could not believe what i saw while i was changing him. Imagine if that was a daughter of urs and ur wife or lady was seeing that on YOUR DAUGHTER OR BABY while changing them for the ride home….????????????
We spend around 4 hundred dollars for passes and drink passes and lockers and more for food. We all deserve to have the water clean for this price we pay each year to come have family fun together. We still want to come to your park and enjoy our weekly fun.
PLEASE MAY YOU DO THE RIGHT THING AND DO WHAT’S RIGHT. PLEASE CLEAN THE WATER AND MAKE THIS RIGHT FOR ALL YOUR LOYAL SEASON PASSHOLDERS.. AND GUEST THAT WANT TO COME TO DORNEY PARK FOR THE DAY….
I AM NOT HAPPY..I AM EXTREMELY DISGUSTED!!!!????????????????
FIX THIS I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT…THIS IS HAZARDOUS TO EVERY ONES HEALTH….????????????????????????
I LOVE YOU GUYS BUT YOU HAD LET ME DOWN SUNDAY…????????????

My employer has been having our yearly picnic at Dorney Park for 2 years now. While the employee ticket is paid for in full by my employer, I am able to purchase family tickets at a discounted price of $15.00 while J.B. Piondexter (my employer) covers the difference in the price. With my husband working at the company, we had 2 employee tickets and purchased 7 discounted family tickets since my employer paid the remainder amount. My family chose to use the tickets for our son’s 16th birthday (9/28/19) celebration. After we arrived at he park, the the attendant at the ticket booth stated that she could not use our tickets and directed my family to Guest Services. After standing in line again to talk to customer service, I was told that the park would NOT honor my tickets and that I would have to spend several hundred to enter the park. When I asked for an explanation, she stated that we had to use them on 8/17/19. I explained that we drove an hour away and made special arrangements to honor our son’s birthday there, she shrugged her shoulders. When I asked to speak to a manager, she stated that there were not any managers around. I asked again for a manager to be greeted by a supervisor who also refused to honor the 9 tickets. She explained that if I pay the difference of $229.65, they would reprint our tickets and we could enter the park. Did I pay it….yes I did…we had our family planning this celebration for 4 weeks. I would like an explanation as to why I paid an additional $229.65 when my employer I already paid for the tickets. How do you justify over charging for park entry….especially when it was ONLY for the dry rides since the water park was closed? I will be writing a lengthy letter to my corporate office as well to inform them of the horrible experience and how I had to pay an additional $230.

On Sat June 8th, my family and I attend your park. After being there for approximately 30-40 mins, my sons sneakers were stolen from him. Once this incident occurred we attempted to go to Dorney Park Security just to mention the situation happened and to see if there was a way that we could report the incident and if security could see on footage the theft taking place. There was a camera right at the spot where the sneakers were stolen. After waiting for someone from security for an HOUR we began asking some of the other park employees if we could get some assistance in having security help us; again this fell on deaf ears. By now my family and I are EXTREMELY upset because now we’re waiting for park security that we were told on more than 1 occasion would be back by. Well, they never showed up, finally I spoke with 2 very nice ladies who happened by, I told them our situation and they offered to walk us to security. They did, we finally end up at the security office, there we spoke with a guard, explained to them the situation and he took the report. He agreed to look at the tape, moments later he returns and tells us they were unable to see anything on the tape because of the rotating camera. Okay, well my husband did make the guards aware if we happen to see the individual who stole the sneakers we would report that to a guard and ask that the sneakers be returned. The entire time spent at the park was nothing less then a wash, my son practically walked the park barefoot!!! We were extremely upset at how we felt we were being handled by security. They treated this situation like any other, which is unfair!!!! We had a genuine complaint!!! As the evening carried on we pretty much figured we would not be able to get my sons sneakers back, my niece needed to use the restroom. We proceed to walk near the basketball 3point court, there stood the assailant in MY SONS SNEAKERS AND HIS SOCKS!!!! And to make matters MUCH worse, he stood there in his Chickie and Pete’s uniform with his name Badge on (Zartis). We asked the gentleman, what size the sneakers were he had on his feet, he said the size, I knew right then they were my sons sneakers!!!! Nothing else was said to him, he immediately began to walk(very very fast) back to his job(Chickie and Pete’s) at the same time Security happened by, I began telling them the situation and they went into the store after him. I am sure you have heard how this situation ended, the sneakers were returned once THEY VIEWED the tapes and discovered(or should I say admitted) that a PARK EMPLOYEEE STOLE THE SNEAKERS! Now my thing is had they did that earlier as asked I wonder how this situation would have ended!!’ I am extremely upset that a park employee took it upon himself to misuse he trusted position to capitalize on some else!! He used his position as a park employee to steal something from a CUSTOMER(who you need to stay in business) and even today, my family has not received a phone call no correspondence of any sort!!! This is NOT they way I will have my family treated! You don’t think that employee knew what he was doing when he stole those sneakers(oh I understand Dorney isn’t responsible for lost or stolen items) until it’s the EMPLOYEE who’s doing the stealing. I would appreciate a phone call or an email in response to this. My sons sneakers costed 200.00 prior to the employee stealing them they were brand new(did you know that the employee actually WROTE in ink on those sneakers?) Are these the type on individuals that you hire to work in your establishment? Do we as paying customers NOT matter unless we are causing chaos or a disturbance directly to you or costing you money!!! We paid our money that day to have our family violated and then treated like we were the wrong doers, we were pushed, had it not been for us looking out we would have never found out stole the sneakers. It’s only adding insult to injury that it’s you own!! I am kindly asking for restitution of some kind!’ We came for another sons birthday, this birthday will forever be jaded by the UNFORTUNATE unnecessary event!

My family and I went to Dorney Park last Monday. We paid the parking fee, and the attendant told us the park would be open for the day. After we parked, however, the attendant at the gates told us that Wildwater Kingdom was closed, but that the “dry rides” would be operational. After much discussion, my family and I decided to go on the dry rides because we would not have a chance to return to the park this season, and our tickets were only good for this season. Five minutes after we entered the park, there was an announcement that the park would be closing for the day. Five minutes after we entered. The workers there gave us “bounce back” tickets to be used for the rest of the season, but we are from upstate New York, and that was our only time this season to go to the park. When I contacted the powers that be, I was told they don’t give tickets for next season in exchange for these “bounce back” tickets, even though that’s the only time we will be able to go. So, now, I am not only out the money I paid for the tickets (and parking), but we didn’t get to enjoy any part of the park on last Monday, and apparently we will not be able to enjoy the park next season either. This is a ridiculous way to manage a park that should want people to be satisfied. We are not at all satisfied, and we will not be coming back unless this is rectified.

Every Year since my Grandaughter could walk I purchased tickets for my entire family for a day of enjoyment at Dorney Park she is now 16. This year I decided to purchase discount tickets only available on certain days. Unfortunately on the day we had decided to go My granddaughter was sick the days ran out
. I then purchased regular tickets to be used any time.
When I tried to ask for a refund, (since I did buy the more expensive Tickets) took 2 weeks to return my calls Saying Unfortunately we do not give Refunds.
Next year we will be going to Hershey Park where the mgmt. is a little more understanding.
